okay here's the big old pride post with my hcs for all of my active f/os and a couple of others i've got on the brain. under a cut because this is extremely long and it's essentially just me pointing at characters and going "lesbian" and then writing an entire paragraph about why.

dash: trans lesbian <3 you all know this one by now. one of the first characters i just couldn't read as anything Other than a lesbian to the point where i sometimes forget that it's not canon. della: trans/nb lesbian :) in a reversal of what i'm pretty sure was the deal with most people, it doesn't take della long to figure out what's up with her gender but it takes her a lot longer to realize she likes girls and exclusively girls. after one particularly bad fling she asks me if there's a reason why she just doesn't feel anything for any of the guys she's been with, like is there something wrong with her, and i just go. you know you can...not date guys. and somehow that's when it clicks for her (the bad fling is the bio father of the kids. he's a dick and he sucks and everything i imagine about him is just a fuck you to the people who never shut up about hdl's biological dad. donald's doing great thank you very much)

mera: her aesthetic is the most nonbinary lesbian thing i've ever seen in my life HELLO. she makes one comment insinuating she's physically attracted to indus in ep 1 but that could just be admiration of his buff bod. mera's comphet attraction is overly buff muscleguys who are nice to her and my comphet attraction is tiny gremlin things who are the worst.

thetis: lesbian lesbian lesbian lesbian lesbian lesbian. idk what thetis' thoughts about marriage in the original greek were but considering madeline‏‏‎ ‎miller‏‏‎ ‎makes a point of emphasizing her disinterest in it as a character in‏‏‎ ‎soa‏‏‎ ‎and her disinterest in men as a whole, even when someone as high-level as zeus shows interest in her, i mean. come on, man. in a modern au achilles and‏‏‎ ‎thetis‏‏‎ ‎go to pride together and he's in a shirt that says "i love my lesbian mom" and she's in a shirt that says "i love my gay son." homophobic thetis truthers have literally not read‏‏‎ ‎tsoa‏‏‎ ‎correctly and that's not me being petty. that's genuinely not the interpretation you are supposed to take away from the text. i won't start my rant but if you WOULD like to hear me discuss thetis as an antagonist and exactly why she does what she does hit me up anytime, i have literally analyzed this for a grade. this is an area in which am quite knowledgeable.

rudyard: semi-canonically ace and sex-repulsed. absolute king shit of an asexual autistic goth, i love him dearly. he's probably trans. i've read one or two absolute banger‏‏‎ ‎wooden‏‏‎ ‎overcoats‏‏‎ ‎fics where one or both twins are trans and they always come up with the best stuff. you love to see it. his attraction is -terrified hiss-. he doesn't know what a crush is for his first 30 years of life and when he experiences one for the first time he thinks he's dying.

beidou: pingponging between pan and lesbian hcs for her. might settle on her sexuality simply being "be gay, do crime." her gender is pirate.

I'm glad you had fun doing it because I had so much fun reading it! what about some headcanons about Tony and Peter spending some sort of holiday together? may and pepper would be good aswell!

okay, let’s do a few of my favorite holidays. 

Pride Month: 

Tony already has a bisexual-pride iron man suit featuring glitter and a rainbow confetti canon so he can fly over the crowd and shower the gays with colorful bits of paper. All of which are biodegradable and disintegrate before the parade is even over. He flys around and says hi to all the kids and is generally like his iron man 2 kind of presenter but like more queer. 

Peter’s first pride was as spider-man, he worked on his suit with Tony for a month and it’s not for fighting. Its fabric changes color on command so he can go between trans pride colors to ace pride colors to bi pride colors to rainbow and he can’t stop changing them the whole time. He also has a trans pride flag as a cape the whole time. He does a whole lot of interacting with people and spending his money on pins and has too many of them at this point. He sticks to Tony’s back to fly around and waving at the people below. 

May and Pepper, who do not like hurling in the air but still like being a part of things, end up taking charge of the stark industries funded avengers float (the main six if we want to care about civil war or not idc) each with a different pride-themed outfit even if they didn’t completely co-respond with the avengers actual identities. Like I headcanon Steve as straight but maybe trans idk, he’s a confused old man that has to take several days to research the gays and then realizes OH THAT’S A SLUR WHOOPS. 

I don’t know that the avenger's float would look like but if spider man is part of it, he’s on iron man’s back and even in paper mache looks very excited. The next year they go as themselves and go all out with face paint and stuff. Tony is already good at makeup so he gives Peter some crazy blue, purple, and pink eyeshadow and even some sharp eyeliner. They went all out with outfits and for some reason, no one could recognize Tony Stark when he has so much makeup on and fishnet tights. May bleached and dyed her hair rainbow because Tony said he’d pay for it and she was not one to pass up free fun. Pepper got a rainbow pantsuit and rainbow heart glasses and resumed work as normal. She didn’t bring it up. 

Halloween:

Tony is experienced in elaborate Halloween costumes that only celebrities can afford. It started at MIT before that he wasn’t allowed to do anything for Halloween because Howard is a dick. Tony has gone from everything from a demon and a vampire to slutty Captain America and slutty Darth Vader. He thinks he’s funny. He went to the superhero-themed met gala as a gender-bent black widow, he dyed his hair red and wore classy black leather. That was the year he convinced Natasha to come and she wore an Iron Man themed dress that showed off her strong arms and featured a cloak. It also featured a glowing fully functioning arc reactor because Tony didn’t do things halfway.  

May had always helped Peter with making his own Halloween costumes and since he's pretty proven to be good at sewing, he usually makes his own. Usually, they weren’t amazing but he worked hard on them. He turned some old dented metal from a destroyed car into a partially functioning iron man suit that he wore for several Halloweens and refuses to show Tony but eventually it just happens. 

Together with Tony’s fashion sense and Peter’s enthusiasm, they become an unstoppable Halloween team and go all out every single year. Tony made a more family-friendly Darth Vader as Peter went as Luke Skywalker, both with real lightsabers that they had way too much fun making. However, he couldn’t take it to school. Thankfully a Han Solo flavored Ned and a for some reason Goth Princess Leia themed MJ came over to Stark Tower for a chill Halloween party and got so see the lightsabers. Under heavy supervision by an Obi-Wan Kenobi Aunt May. She only withstood the fake beard for pictures.  

Pepper goes to work as a clown every year and her only explanation is that its symbolism for her life. Before she was CEO she dressed up as a strawberry as for a while that was the scariest thing to her. 

EXTRA:

Tony has a massive panic attack every Fourth of July. Then he has cheeseburgers with his family that May makes because Tony would find a way to start a fire and no one wants to deal with that. 

Tony has a panic attack every Christmas as it’s the time that always reminds him of his parent's death. Then he watches the grinch four times in a row. He has memorized the whole film as a coping mechanism. 

May and Peter go out for Italian every valentine’s day and reminisce on happy story about ben before getting sad and gorging on breadsticks again.

Name/Alias: Mikke/mikkeneko Birthday: 18th of a spring-related month Zodiac Sign: Isn’t this kinda redundant given the Birthday question? If someone gives their birthday, you also know their zodiac sign -- at least presumably if you care enough about zodiac signs for this question to be meaningful, you also know the date ranges on each of em. Anyway, I don’t really dig like things like zodiac for real people. Very handy for constructing fictional characters, but real people tend to be too fractal and contradictory for it to mean much. Height: 5'4" Hobbies: Reading, writing, video games... I never have an answer for this question that isn't incredibly pedestrian. Favorite Color: Blue. My fondest dream is that somehow the ace flag would be somehow changed to include dark blue, because then literally everything in my wardrobe would be in the colors of the ace flag Last Song I Heard: 'Rusalka' by The Decemberists, which is a delightfully spooky song and also goddamn funny to me, because the first half of the song is "I wish I had a mermaid gf... but GOTH :|a" and the second half is "Welp, I did my thinking with my dick and now I am dead, which really just goes to show" Last Film I Watched: Does the Steven Universe movie count? If not, then hmm, I think Avengers: Endgame, which I finally got around to watching once it came out on DVD and I was able to borrow a copy from a friend. It was alright. Inspiration for my muse(s): I never understand this question. I don't really compartmentalize my creation process into muses, if that makes sense? In terms of writing style, probably the author I most admire and emulate overall is Lois McMaster Bujold. Sometimes I need story elements for a specific type of story, but I usually go looking for those on a case by case basis -- reading noir stories to get into the right mindset for writing a noir story, or watching horror to get in the right headspace to write a horror film. Dream Job: For a while, it was screenwriter. I've kind of given up on that dream, and nothing else has really replaced it, so I guess a dream job is whatever will pay enough to get by and still allow enough time to live an actual life outside of it. ‾\_(ツ)_/‾ Meaning Behind the URL: Back when I was in my Japan phase (i.e., living in Japan) I was growing out a couple of dye jobs and had tri-colored hair -- blond growing out red and black. I happened to be looking for a screenname at the time so I picked 'mikeneko,' which is Japanese for three-color-cat or calico cat. I added the extra K to make the pronunciation more intuitive to non-japanese speakers (mickey vs. mike) and over time mikkeneko got shortened to mikke.

Not great at tagging other people with these things because usually they've either already done it or don't like to do these things, but perhaps @sapphireswimming or @queenschadenfreude would want to?

"Alright, Lav. You can do this, he's right there. Just go up to him and ask him out! Can't be that hard... right?"

Lavender was nervous beyond belief, she's never done anything like this before. But she's read enough books to know that to move the plot along, you've gotta go for it or you'll be screaming in frustration later.

Mason Adalbert. The one boy who could send her heart a flutter and turn her whole being to mush with a smile. He didn't seem like the kind of boy "girls like her" would go for; but she didn't give any fucks about that. He was cute as a button, smart, was super kind, and drank his respect women juice. Did she mention he was absolutely adorable?

She fixed her collar, adjusted her romper, and tousled her hair a bit. Here goes nothing.

"Mason."

He looked up from cleaning his glasses. "Yeah?"

fUCk he's cute, "Um. I was, um, hoping that. Um.", 'God I'm going nowhere, just cut to the chase.' she thought to herself. "Would you go out with me? Uh, please?"

He looked at her with a blank stare as he adjusted his glasses, "Me? Are. Are you sure?" 'Of course it's you!', she hastily thought.

"Yes, you. I'm sure of it. I um.. would really like to go out with you."

His cheeks flushed red and he gave a shy smile. "Yes. I'd love to. Where.... were ya thinking of going?"

Time for her plan! "Well, I was thinking of going to the roller rink tomorrow because it's Half Price Thursday. Plus, I've never been and I just thought it'd be fun... and yeah." God, she hoped she didn't look or sound too awkward.

"Ooh that does sound like fun, Lavender! What time were you thinking of-"

Ah, shit, Sheila's coming...

"Well, well, well, look at what we've got here! A goth wannabe prude asking out a boring little prude nerd. What a perfect pair, I'll bet-"

Lavender bared her claws, "Sheila Anderson get the fuck out of my face before I slice your damn neck off."she growled.

"Jeez bitch, calm down, I was just leaving", replied Sheila, annoyance and fear in her voice.

"Good." And with that, Lav went back to her business. "I'm so sorry Mason, I HATE when she talks to people like that, especially people I... like. Um, i was thinking around 5:30. Will that work for you?"

"Uhh yeah, that sounds good! Let me just, um, write it down really quick in my Little Tiny Journal for Various Things. ((Authors note, I actually have a notebook that says that on me at all times. XD))"

"Alrighty! It's a date! See ya then, bye! One of my dads should be here by now to, uh, pick me up haha."

He pulled her into a quick hug, "Bye Lav!"

She shouldn't have said a single thing. Lav had just come home to a small swarm of deadbeats, and not quite thinking, she spilled the beans about her upcoming date with Mason to them. But the thing about them is, they're like little kids; they'll repeat what they hear to anyone who'll listen. Excited about the news, they roamed around telling everyone in HQ that 'Lavender has a date with a boy tomorrow!' over and over again.

"Dang it, now I'll probably have to deal with- oh no he's pounding on my door."

"LAVENDER DEARIE, PLEASE LET ME IN, I HAVE TO KNOW ALL THE BITS AND DETAILS ABOUT YOUR DATE!! OH MY GODS, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO WEAR-"

"Calm down Decan, you're going to break down my door!! Come in, we'll talk, I promise."

She let him in and he immediately started asking his burning questions, "Who is it!? Who's the lucky lad!? I'm all ears!!" With a sigh, she prepared herself to answer his 300 questions. "Well, it's Mason,-"

"HAH!! I KNEW IT!! LEWIS, YOU OWE ME 20 DOLLARS!!" he exclaimed.

"Um. Alright then. Mason and I are going to the roller rink tomorrow at 5:30 for Half Price Thursday."

"Ooh! I have a couple of outfit ideas that will make him fall head over heels for you~" he replied, ready to plan.

"Fine. But I get to choose the shoes."

"Deal! Let's see what they are so I can plan accordingly!"

She phased through her walk in closet and pulled out her choice of shoes, recieving a slight grimace from Decan. "These ones. I insist."

Decan took a large inhale, "Darling, I  L O V E  you, but I'm starting to regret that deal... I just... can't quite DEAL with those shoes... but! I like a challenge, so let's see what I can do!"

The shoes in question were knee high tye dye Converse in the demi romantic and asexual flag colors, but the green and purple colors were neon; not the easiest thing to match, that's for sure.

What felt like AGES later, Decan found an outfit consisting of a shin length black dress with lavender lace trim on the bottom, completed with sheer tights. He looked as if he was in the nth dimension, proud to have accomplished an impossible seeming task. "I DID IT!!! FINALLY!!!"

"Yes you did! I feel cute uwu."

"Well, you ARE cute!" he replied, stating his facts.

"....fine. I'll let you have it this ONE time." she replied, a small blush on her face.

"Alrighty then! Let's go downstairs, everyone is a buzz with excitement about your first date~"

So downstairs they went, and about four seconds later E V E R Y O N E was shooting the same rapid fire question,

"LAV WHO ARE YOU GOING ON A DATE WITH?!?!"

With a sharp inhale, she spilled the tea, "I'm going on a date with Mason, he's the cutie I'm always talking about." 

"And YOU, LEWIS PEPPER, OWE ME TWENTY BUCKAROOS!! FORK IT OVER!!" bellowed Decan, thrilled to have predicted correctly for once.

A slight grumble was heard from the back of the living room, and an annoyed deadbeat swarmed over with a twenty dollar bill and put it in Decan's waiting hands, "thank you!!~"

Everyone shared their excitement for the girl, along with a bit of worry about what could happen, but Lavender assured them that Mason is a very kind person. Plus, if anything happens, she always has a way to get out of a situation; magic and her amazing combat skills.

The day had come, and Lav had just been dropped off at the roller rink. She began looking for Mason until she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Hey! Looking for me?~" he announced, playful smirk on his face.

"Actually, yes. Sorry to keep you waiting, one of my dads took a bit longer than I thought doing my makeup... but hey! I'm not technically late, it's only 5:19." she replied.

"Oh please, you're worth the wait."

"What?"

"What?"

Both teens had a dusting of red on their faces, standing in an awkward silence.

"Umm, you look very nice! Love the shoes, must've taken ages to match haha." Mason chimed, nervously laughing.

"Aww, thank you. My Papa Decan almost gave in trying to find something, twas funny." she replied.

"Lav?"

"Yeah?"

"How. How many dads do you have, um, exactly? Are they polyamorous or, uh, something to that extent?" he asked, curious.

"Oh, that! No, they're not all poly, I'm adopted and a bunch of people have shared custody over me, so I basically have like, a dozen parents at this point pretty much. And all but two are men, so that's why I have a bunch of dads. Funny thing is, they're all in their mid-to-late twenties, so they're not quite on that 'dad age level' but I don't care. They all make bad jokes and are very caring so... yeah, haha. Don't tell anyone, but I'd totally do anything for them, all my caretakers. I love them a lot, and they all love me a lot, and I don't deserve them most of the time." she warmly replied, softly smiling to herself. Mason felt his cheeks warm up and his eyes were likely shining.

"Awww, that's so sweet! Also, you SO deserve each other! I like to think that things usually happen for some reason one way or another, and I think it's wonderful that they found you and that you all care for each other so much! Wh-why are you crying? Are you alright?"

She touched her face and realized 'yep those are mascara tears alright.'

"Oh, um, I'm okay. Sorry, I didn't even see I was crying. Um, let's, um, go inside, it's getting dark... or something. Haha." Lav replied, trying to move the date along.

"Oh, um, ok. Do you... want a hug?" he asked, trying to make her feel better.

"Yes please, I'd love that."

And with that, he pulled her into a warm hug, taking in each others warmth with a smile. 'She smells like warm apple pie... no wonder she's so wonderful...'

After what felt like An eternity, they departed and both were blushing messes.

"Um-"

"I am NOT blushing, it's just warm in here." snapped Lav, not sure what to do with these... warm,,, happy static feelings.

"Wait, you're  B L U S H I N G?? You look so cute though!" he replied back, smile in his eyes.

"Wha, uh, I-I do NOT!!",she sputtered, blushing deeper, "YOU'RE the cutie here! With your beautiful silver eyes, your soft caramel hair, and your breathtaking smile that I like so much! Not to mention, you're SUPER smart and nice and, and, GENUINE!! Do you know how many times literal DIRTBAGS have tried to flirt with me? They're always weird and gross and I do NOT like it, and I don't like how it's easily accepted for them to be all... X rated all the time!! Like, it may be cause I'm ace and repulsed by s*xual stuff, but still! Don't be gross, people!" she outburst, recieving some strange glances.

"*sigh*, I'm sorry Mason, let's go inside now, people are staring and I don't want them to do anything to you." she softly spoke, gently holding his back for him to follow her.

"...thank you. For, um, everything. It means a lot to me, stuff like that. Again, thank you so much.", he whispered, not sure what to say or do. "...am I making this, uh, awkward for you, Lavender? I'm really sorry if I am-"

"No, you're fine it's, uh, all good. Let's go get skates and such already, haha." she nervously replied, finally walking inside.

They were having a surprisingly good time, despite the shaky beginning. Both were doing laps around the rink, holding onto the perimeter every ten seconds due to fear of falling. But they got the hang of it, carefully skating around. They kept tapping hands, unsure of whether or not it was appropriate to join them together. Finally, Mason went in for the kill and took ahold of her hand. She felt a smile creep up her face, and held his hand back.

"Your hand fits nicely into mine, ya know." he smiled.

"Yeah. It does." she replied back, pressing a soft kiss to his knuckles, and him in return blushing like crazy. "Aww, you're so cute when you're blushing, Mason."

WELL THAT TOOK FOREVER LMAO. Sorry for the excessive length, it turned into a full on fic lol. Hope you enjoyed it anyway!!

Hi. I feel the need to explain myself so here it goes: I deleted my post that included MOGAI don’t interact at the bottom and the ask I got (if you don’t know I posted a picture about a flag I made for myself and asking people if they wanted one but I included a banner at the bottom saying “MOGAI Don’t Interact” and I got an ask about it saying me stating this is a safe place but being anti MOGAI is controversial). Why? I really don’t want discourse or to invite more discourse on my blog but I realize I have no choice. I am not trying to cover shit up and in return I feel I should respond to the ask again and explain myself more clearly:

@ Anon, I am not sorry about my beliefs offending you. Though I am not completely against MOGAI I do have a lot of problems with it. It just feels like they sit there and make a fool out the LGBTQ+ community a lot of the time. Do I care if you use neopronouns? No. Go ahead! Do I care if you can’t find an identity that truly encompasses how you feel so you make one up? No. Go ahead! Do I think you always need to have dysphoria to be trans? No. You can just feel more comfortable in another gender and that’s totally okay and valid! Go ahead! But do I care when people who aren’t trans at all identify as a gender that is just their personality traits? Yes. And honestly why does the MOGAI community have to exist? The LGBTQ+ is growing everyday to add more identities for everyone. I know some people try to just call it the LGBT but it’s not just that anymore. It’s so much more than that. If you don’t see your identity under the LGBTQ you are the +! And you are valid regardless of what anyone says as long as you’re not using your “identity” to be cool. Aros are valid! Aces are valid! Mspecs are valid! Gays are valid! Enbys are valid! Transgender men and women are valid! And they all belong in the community. Intersex/intersexual people also deserve a place in the community as they experience a lot of gender identity issues themselves and should not be left out! But softgenders (a gender that feels soft and sensitive) and recugenders ([believe that is the name for it] someone who identities with the gender assigned to their sex but refuses to be cis) and everything like them are just not valid at all. I shouldn’t have to tell you this. Gender is how you feel between female, male and gender neutral/genderless. Nothing else. There can be combos but that’s it. You’re not softgender, you’re just a soft and sensitive person, that has nothing to do with your gender. Anyone can be soft and sensitive. And regardless if you like it or not “recugenders”, you’re cis. I know you want to be special but being trans doesn’t make you special. It’s who you are as a person that makes you special. You don’t need a fancy label to be a good product.

Your personality traits are not a gender. Gender is who you are not what you choose. It’s not dress up. It’s a serious thing that needs to be respected as such. I know the MOGAI community is just trying to be more inclusive for people and that’s wonderful but it’s been taken too far. Now you are just doing more harm than good. Because of people like you I have to endure hearing those stupid “I identify as a [random object]” and “DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY GENDER?????” “jokes.” They are not in any way funny and actually just degrades a community that is already looked down upon. I know some people are just trying to have a laugh and I get that but it’s spreading the idea being trans is weird. And it’s not. And MOGAI is just contributing to the problem by spreading nonexistent genders and romantic/sexual orientations that are just personality traits, personality preferences in a partner or someone refusing to admit they’re cishet cause they want to feel special. And you’re also spreading this message to young, impressionable, naïve people that don’t know any better and that’s just plain wrong. Your personality preferences in a partner is not a romantic/sexual orientation. A romantic/sexual orientation has to do with how much romantic/sexual interest you have and/or the gender(s) you are romantically/sexually attracted to. Liking goth people is not a romantic/sexual orientation. Again, I shouldn’t have to tell you this. And just fyi people are always going to misgender you, it’s a normal human reaction to call someone who looks male a he and someone who looks female a she. They are not transphobic, they are just unaware. Everybody assumes people’s gender based on looks. Just correct them politely. They’ll never know how to refer to you if you don’t tell them and you’d be surprised the response you might get. So yes I have a problem with a good bit of the MOGAI community besides neopronouns and the actual real identities that help people. I said don’t interact with my blog if you are a terrible person and going around acting like being queer is a fashion statement rather than a legitimate thing makes you a terrible person. I’m not going to accept your toxicity and harmful behavior into my safe space. And that’s that on that.

P.S. Do I know if all the MOGAI communities are like this? No. There could very well be a chance there are some MOGAI communities that do more good than harm. And I am willing to give the community a second chance as I only know the bad people in it. I am also willing to give the community the benefit of the doubt that there are good things about it. Cause like I said earlier, there is. Having an accepting community to help you find a term that is more tailored to how you feel is a great thing. It really does help a lot of people and I’m glad it does. But regardless of the good it does, we can’t ignore the bad it does. Which is all I’m saying.

Make sure you’re safe to come out, and make sure you have support if you’re worried. Don’t worry too much, labels can change and nothings concrete. Have safe, consensual sex if having sex is your thing and just like…have a great time and be yourself. Wear sunscreen, drink water and be decent. Don’t neglect your physical and mental health and accept mistakes happen just learn from it.
