Happy Fan Joy July, Oma!!!

Oma, thank you so so much for making Fan Joy July and sharing it with us! Our fandom, our artists, writers, readers, etc have loved seeing or taking part in this crazy challenge.

This is our gift to thank you- from artists all around who were affected by, or got gifts from, or took part in Fan Joy July. We all love you so much- so we made letters/art for this (Zelda themed!). Many said that they had already wanted to make/write you something, and this gave an opportunity.

One of the things I've loved about this month is how community/interaction centered you made it. The challenge was for yourself to make art each day (you absolute maniac /affectionate)- but then others joined. This July we saw or made art or fics with recommendations. Every day you made art for a writer with a scene from one of their fics, and inspired others to do the same, and writers even wrote every day for an artist based off an art piece they made! This led to a month of gift giving- everyone interacting and getting love for creating.

You truly led to a month of Joy for a lot of loz/lu fans- making the name "Fan Joy July" quite accurate

I'm so grateful to all my artists who stepped up so we could do this when I asked- almost 36 hours and 19 artists. The art is like patchwork, with all these different styles, both traditional and digital put together. But that's exactly what happened- we all got drawn together, just like the other month-long challenges. It's so cool how art always connects people.

It's four in the morning, Keegan comes home after nearly ten months of deployment, his duffle bag placed on the floor. Steps soft to not wake you up, after all, he is meant to surprise you with his early arrival. As he was about to go and check on the dog, who slept by the sofa, he noticed a blanket, your blanket. He approaches you, his gaze softens the second he watches his beautiful sleeping. You look so peaceful, so calm and in this moment when things for months went so wrong, this view is all he can adore.

"My love, I'm home," Keegan whispers, in his arms, he carries you to bed. They say people have a certain amount of luck and you are proof of that. Maybe out there in the cruel world, he doesn't have much luck but in this place, a warm, cosy and safe place he calls home, he knows luck is there. No one can say they are lucky because they don't have you and he does. A million men can say your name, a million more can watch you but just one gets to come home to you. One man in a sea of billions gets to kiss you, to listen to your ramble about crazy theories, to listen to you hum a tune and to love you and be loved back.

That man is him and in this precise moment, he knows why he proudly waited day and night to hide that ring in his pocket. If he wasn't a romantic, he would propose to you right here right now but he wants that moment to be magical because his precious girl deserves it. "Keegan, it's you," your voice so soft. Fuck, why must you make his heart melt like this? Why must you- damn you! Why do you love him? Why do you see what others don't and why must you make him blush just from the sound of your voice? Couldn't you be any less cruel to his weakened heart? Oh but he loves it, he loves that voice, that touch and stare, he loves the kisses and the 'Did your job go well? Are you hurt? Did you miss me?' he loves it all.

"Of course, it's me, darling," he sets you down on the bed and covers you with the sheets. "I'll be back," his lips touched your soft skin before leaving to take a short shower. You lay in bed, not being able to sleep without him anymore, you wait for him. Once he snuggles to you, you can feel his fresh skin, how his embrace wraps you with love and with care. "Did everything go to plan?" you ask as you nuzzle your face on his chest, a low chuckle escapes his lips as he brushes your hair. "It did, which is surprising," he kisses the top of your head and drapes his leg over yours.

In a warm bed, you and he lie, legs intertwined like they are the perfect match. Your back to his chest, soft breathing filling the room. As you close your eyes, he finds himself admiring your beauty from his angle. His arm wrapped around your waist, keeping you close for the rest of the night as the other arm caresses your head. His fingers brush through the hair, and slowly, they make their way to your forehead, where he slowly catches himself falling asleep.

Until morning and maybe even after being awake, he keeps you in his hold and under those warm bed sheets. "I love you to the moon and back- no, let's keep going beyond the moon," he whispers as he keeps holding you close. If only he dared to propose already and make you his missus. But only the brave wait for the exact right moment.

Little hours

It was a long day for the the murder team/kinda family. Towards four in the afternoon everyone were so  exhausted, Loona had already texted her sister and step dad to just get them and bring her and her unhinged dad home. Of course not even 20 minutes later there's a portal opened right in the middle of the work place.

Stolas being well stolas he had literally picked up his husband while,  Octavia handed Loona a Starbucks drink all while leaning her sis back to the palace. Mille had declined the offer to tag along with them , already telling her boss's husband that her own husband is slipping. Which the prince definitely understand her and bid them goodbye.

Now that the smaller married couple had gotten home , Millie helped Moxxie with getting out of the work clothes and into a calming bath. After that both of them get into comfy clothes, Millie left her little pumpkin in the living room making sure he was all comfortable and having sensory safe toys to play. Once she knew he would be okay, the woman walked over to their kitchen to get started on supper. And since it was basically Fall season and it had gotten colder in hell , Millie being the amazing woman she was , decided to make chicken and dumplings(yes i know that's a country as hell food but it's still good regardless) , it had everything that her husband ate.

Sometimes he has problems with food and it's texture. And that's another reason why they don't buy certain foods like watermelon for example because it upsets Moxxie's senses of both touch and taste.  Anyway back the task at hand , Millie had just gotten done making dinner letting the food sit in the pot for a second. Now dusting off her hands on the apron around her waist, pulling her phone out of the pocket of the black knitted dressed Millie had put on after her shower this morning.

Seeing that it's only 5:07pm which isn't bad since she had hoped to get done with dinner early anyway, wanting to set up the promised marathon of watching all the episodes of " Garfield & Friends" with Millie's little peach who is still in the living room playing. And so she walks out of the kitchen and into the living room, finding her regressed husband laying on his tummy in a cute possum onesie. He's so focused on lining up his wooden car toys by color in a perfect circle. Mox did the same with the nemo themed stacking blocks but only stacking them in different piles , the blocks with dory on them have a pile , same with nemo , hank , marlin , destiny , becky and so on(it was gift from loona she painted a bunch of wooden blocks for " little moxxie" ). And so Millie kneels down next to other imp with a warm smile on her face , watching him make sure the piles and his toys are perfect the way he wants them.

" Pumpkin I'm sorry but I'ma need you to pick ya toys away "

Millie asks already feeling a little guilty especially when she watched her little peach organize his toys in a certain way. Said little peach looks up from his toys and turns his head to his mama and quickly shakes his head no. And picks up a nemo block that wasn't supposed to be in the hank pile , and responds to the woman sitting next to him.

"but i gotta finish my piles mama"

"i know sugar-snaps , i know "

"hmhp"

" hm how about this. I'll let you keep three of ya blocks at the table next to your bowl. That way you still have em and you can stack em in a pile. How does that sounds honey?"

Instead of answering he picks up six blocks instead and happily carries, them on the very very very short walk to the kitchen table. And puts said block neatly in two piles , now turning to face the other imp.

" two piles , six blocks are betters mama"

" alright honey I suppose so. Now would you like anything to drink ?"

" mhms! Grape juice please in the-"

" in the green froggy sippy cup. I know apple pie. "

Mille gets a small happy wiggle and warm smile from Moxxie, she walks over and kisses his head lightly, then getting their plates together and of course Moxxie's favorite sippy cups.

Hey, did you know that the reason that Anne doesn’t show emotion towards all the stuff that happened in true colors in season 3b is because Matt had to compartmentalize stuff like that all the time when he grew up in Thailand, and he wanted to show that in Anne? (feel free to correct me on any of this btw, these are only faint memories and I’m honestly just hoping you saw the post that talked about this stuff too)

Yeah I've heard of that. Don't think I've given my thoughts on it though, so I guess now is as good a time as any.

I'll be perfectly honest: this still doesn't change my opinion that Anne not showing any emotions over the events of True Colors is one of the worst parts of season 3A.

Even if she was repressing her emotions, they still needed to show us evidence that she was repressing because animation is a visual medium. What ever goes on inside of a character's head doesn't mean jack shit. What matters is what we as the audience are shown. Something like that works much better in a book, like say Marcy's Journal: in Anne's section we get to delve into her thoughts and see her turmoil over what happened because she's telling us directly. In just the show itself though none of that is present because aside from the end of Froggy Little Christmas, we don't see any indication that Anne is thinking about her friends at all.

Not to sound like a broken record, but if they wanted to show that Anne was repressing her feelings I think they could've shown that by sprinkling more moments like the end of FLC throughout 3A. We see background details that reference Sasha and Marcy, like their initials in Anne's bedpost and Sasha's graffiti tags. By simply showing Anne noticing these details and reacting to them, like looking sad and quickly turning away, that would've been a subtle but effective way of showing that Anne does miss and is worried about her friends, without having to go into detail about it or even reference the events of True Colors at all.

So yeah, even if Matt was trying to do a cultural thing it still doesn't absolve Amphibia season 3A of its poor storytelling, at least in my view.

Softest muse? That would probably be a tie between Emily and Vortex. Emily is an angel, despite everything she learned from the court trial, she still has a warm heart and can and will be easily fooled. She is very naïve and sees the best in people at all times which sometimes gets her in trouble. She'll only really lash out if she feels like she's not being heard. As for Vortex, he's not really mean or tough unless he's defending Verosika and has to be for his job. He doesn't like when people fight, especially if it involves his girlfriend. Toughest muse would have to be a tie between Blitzø and Striker. Neither of them take shit from anyone, they both have killed and will kill without remorse. Striker rarely likes anyone and Blitzø only really cares about his employees, his family, and Stolas.

2) Which Muse would blow through $1000 quickly?

If it's in the human world, Moxxie easily! Especially if he thinks his wife would enjoy it. If it's in Hell, probably Fizzie or Angel. Fizzie is reckless and would easily blow through that much without even thinking and Angel would splurge if he knew he had the money to spend.

3) Do any of them have nicknames? Is there a meaning behind them?

Apart from the obvious ones, no. Fizzie answers to Froggie, but only from Ozzie. Kitty for Husk, but only from Angel. Daddy for Val. Ozzie also found out recently he enjoys being called Good Boy and Daddy.

4) Are any of them up-to-speed on the latest trends? Anyone more old school?

Verosika, Fizzie, and Angel Dust all like to be in the known. Whether or not they follow them is another thing. Verosika definitely does, Fizzarolli definitely tries, but if he finds a style he likes, he will stick with it for a while, and Angel Dust would like to, but it's not like he has any choice on what he wears as long as Val is around. Husk and Alastor both could care less. Alastor for sure sticks to what he knows and Husk just could care less.

5) Who has the best relationship with their siblings?

Molly and Angel Dust for sure have the best relationship. With their other siblings, maybe not so much, but with each other? They are inseparable. They share their clothes with each other, tell each other almost all their secrets, and do just about everything together,

6) Karaoke night! Who is likely to grab the mic first and bust out a tune?

Angel Dust or Charlie for sure. Charlie loves to sing and is always breaking out into song, meanwhile Angel Dust has grown up on musicals. He looooves musicals and will gladly be right up there alongside Charlie easily.

7) Who is least likely to enter a beauty pageant/model?

Alastor, Husk, and Satan all don't really care when it comes to beauty pageants or anything. Alastor finds them dumb, Husk would rather go to support Angel Dust, and Satan just doesn't have time or care too much for all of that.

8) If your Muses visited a haunted house where actors scare you, who would panic and who would be unfazed? 

Most muses would go unfazed, having seen a bunch of shit in their lives. Moxxie, Emily, and Charlie would probably be the easiest to scare if caught off guard.

9) Are any of your Muses particular about taking certain modes of transportation?

Not all take transportation, some prefer other uncommon methods of getting around. Alastor uses shadows to get around, Ozzie prefers to be driven around, Fizzie likes to rollerblade or get driven around, Lilith prefers to swim, and Adam, Emily, and Lute prefer flying.

10) Share a little-known fact about any Muse.

Husk won't admit it, but he enjoys getting his wings preened, touched, and played with though only be a select few people that he can trust.

Chapter Five: Home Economics

No school has ever made Friday feel more like Friday than this one. You could feel the anxious energy in every room. Even the teachers had a childlike excitement for the end of the day. I met Bart after school at the pigpen, but I stopped at the stables afterward. A dark and white horse caught my eye, and I stopped to stare at him. The wild yellow-green eyes were what captured me, though. I wondered who the horse could've belonged to. He was the first horse I'd ever seen that close-up. Our English teacher assigned a personal essay that'd be due next Friday, and I broke away to go home and work on my homework. I figured there'd be tons of weekend activities, so it wouldn't be a big deal if I missed out on one Friday. I let myself in and sat at the coffee table in silence. The front door opened a few minutes after I started working, and I met eyes with a woman with dark hair and two small children. "You're Grant, right?" she asked as she set the little girl down.

"Uh-huh, does uhhh—." I cleared my throat. "Does Roy know you're here?" I asked. And yeah, she did make me nervous. She was gorgeous. The little girl joined me at the coffee table and opened the drawer to get a coloring book and crayons. "Mommy, is he a stranger?" the little girl questioned. "No, he's Grant. Grant, I'm Jade... And this is Roy and I's daughter Lian... And this is my son, Tommy. I usually don't sneak in like this, but it's Roy's birthday tomorrow... Can you watch the kids for two seconds while I run back to the car?" Jade asked. I nodded, and she passed Tommy to me. He didn't weigh much, but I'd never held a baby before. "Here, look. Support his head like this." She leaned over and fixed my arms. "I'll be a second. Lian, I'll be right back, sweetie." "Okay, Mommy," Lian whispered. When Jade left, Lian looked at me. "Are you friends with my daddy?" I nodded. "Kind of... I live here now," I replied. "Okay... Can we play a game when you're done?" Lian asked. I nodded. Tommy opened his eyes and stretched. He was so tiny that I didn't know what to do with him. It scared me. "Whatcha coloring?" I asked. "Kitties. Don't be scared of Tommy," Lian replied. I blinked hard. "Huh?" I asked. Roy came in, carrying a folded-up playpen and a duffel bag. "Why didn't you tell me you were going to D.C. a week early? I would've picked the kids—." "It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I forgot Lian's green boots. I can bring them by tomorrow before my flight," Jade offered. Roy glanced at me, and his eyes went wide. "You left him with the baby?" Roy asked. "Grant, I'm so sorry." He took Tommy from me, and I relaxed. "It's no problem," I replied. Lian climbed on the couch and pressed a kiss to Roy's cheek. I returned to my homework while Roy and Jade argued in soft voices in the background. Jade set up the playpen, and Roy made faces at the baby. "It isn't going to kill Lian to wear her plain rainboots instead of the froggy ones," Roy whispered to Jade. "Don't be difficult. I know Lian has the yellow rainboots, but the froggy ones have the handles, so she can put them on herself," Jade explained. Roy stopped in his tracks and nodded. "You're trying to make it easier for me... Now I feel like a jerk," Roy replied as he rubbed the back of his neck. The way Roy held Tommy looked so natural and comfortable. He even managed to scoop Lian up and hold her on his hip. "Thanks, Jade. You can bring 'em by in the morning." Jade smiled at him and nodded. "Don't worry about it," Jade replied. Roy let Jade kiss the kids and promised they'd be fine. I don't think Jade was worried about his ability to parent, though. "See you tomorrow, Lian and Tommy. I love you very much." Jade waved goodbye to me, and I waved back. "Thanks for watching our kids for me," Roy smiled awkwardly. I smiled back.

I finished my homework while he put the baby down for a nap, and Lian came back around. Lian had her stickers with her and asked me to lie back on the couch. I figured out what the sticker game was the hard way. She placed the stickers on my cheeks and forehead, and eyelids. I felt saturated with gluey taped pictures. "You okay?" Roy asked. He chuckled, but I couldn't open my eyes to see his face. "Mhm," I answered with closed lips so I wouldn't laugh and upset the sticker placements. They made me feel like I belonged, and for a little while, I forgot I didn't. It felt nice in an unfamiliar way. I must've fallen asleep on the couch because I woke up to Lian pulling stickers off my face. They didn't hurt as bad as I thought they would. "Hey, hey, be gentle, Lian," Roy warned. "It's what I get for being a man of my word," I joked. "Daddy, Grant's not hurt. See," Lian reassured him. "Did you ask Grant how he felt?" Roy asked gently. Lian gasped. "Does it hurt, Grant?" Lian asked. "Not bad," I replied, "Some of 'em just sting a little." Lian patted my cheek with her palm. "Here, let me help take some of them off." I took the ones off my eyelids to see what was going on. I was relieved she didn't put them over my eyelids. "Hey, Roy? Who owns that big grey and white horse in the stables?" I asked. Roy's lips curved up into a half-smile. "The dapple grey Andalusian's mine. His name's Moonshine. He's a rescue from an old farmer that died down the way. He was just a colt when the old man died," Roy replied, "Maybe I'll teach you how to ride someday." I grinned, and Lian pulled a sticker off my neck. That one took a little bit of my hair with it. "Ouch," I mumbled as I rubbed the back of my neck. "I'm sorry," Lian apologized. "It's okay... Are you gonna learn how to ride a horse when you get big?" I asked her.

"Magic's in the stables," Lian replied. I looked at Roy, and he nodded. "I've been teaching her since her last birthday," Roy replied. A toddler on a horse... That, I'd have to see.

I know this is magical girl blog, but i wanna ask, what's your opinion on pizza tower game?

You're only asking me this because of the The Noise Update that came out just recently, aren't you? Come on, be honest.

Anyways, I absolutely adore the aesthetics of that game. It's just so absolutely bonkers and it oozes lots and lots of passion. Those five years of hard work were worth it. I haven't played it yet, but once I get myself a potent and faster PC, I'll try it! So, I'll just talk about the aesthetics!

I like how Peppino is a Wario-expy, but not in personality. Sure, he is fat and ugly like that greedy garlic-munching goon, but his personality and life are totally different: He's a stressed middle-aged man, who struggles financially and constantly oscillates in anger or anxiety. Totally the opposite of Wario, who's absolutely confident in his brute strength and will take stuff without any awareness or care of the consequences that'll soon follow.

Also, did you know that "Peppino" is a legit real life name? It's a nickname of "Giuseppe" (an italian version of the name "Joseph"). And the person behind Funiculi, Funiculá (the funny pizza meme music) was named Peppino. Giuseppe "Peppino" Turco.

While the gameplay is obviously inspired by Wario Land 4, its visuals take cues from those Gross Out medias from the 90's/00's (Earthworm Jim, Cow & Chicken, Ren & Stimpy, etc.), which it really helps in the shaping of the game's identity. Not to mention how the game was projected to give major priority to speed mechanics, hence why the reason why it was firstly showcased at Sonic Amateur Games Expo.

Another interesting thing about it, is that this game almost became a Horror game! It almost became a FNaF copycat! But for some reason, Tour de Pizza felt the need to change the concept into a Wario-like midway, BUT! The Horror elements still remained with Don't Make a Sound and Fake Peppino (the game is one year old already; everyone already knows of Fake Peppino by now).

One interesting thing about FP, is back when the game has made its official debut, people made vows of not spoiling his Boss Fight, as TdP would keep him under the shadows in the development vlogging/lives. An addendum: This happened at the same time Hogwarts Legacy came out, and people were spoiling its ending on purpose! Meanwhile the froggy abomination (affectionate) was carefully kept a secret until the time was right.

...even though FP was already spoiled in WAR, but that's just me...

And the MUSIC. Oh my God, the music. It's so divine. Some of them feel severely out of place with the goofy aesthetics of the game, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The use of leitmotifs is clever and adds a lot of charm to the player character. They didn't have to go hard on the Ha Ha Funny Pizza Man Game, but they did it.

Also, the Final Boss has given me the adrenaline rush and catharsis that no modern-era Shounen has managed to do for me. No items, no power-ups, just pure, raw, and italian strength and blood-boiling rage (and the occasional tag-teaming of good ol' Gustavo).

As for The Noise Update, it's still pretty fresh, so I won't spoil anything major about it. However, I'll say that he is different than Peppino in every single way, not just in gameplay. While Peppino functions on Fight-or-Flight mode and is only concerned about getting things done and over with, The Noise does stuff for the shits 'n giggles, and WILL shamelessly gaslight you into getting the highest rank. And also with violence. Lots 'n lots of violence.

Also, The Noise's full name is "Theodore Noise" (yes the "The" in the name is not a definite article, it's short for his birth name). But I guess everyone already knows that, too. Just felt like remembering it, just in case.

Uh-oh, Banana, you’ve got a Frog™ at the door!

Just one familiar face, this time — a certain orange frog, who, unlike your past visitors, has no interest in barging into your house, destroying anything, or blasting Axel F by Crazy Frog.

“TRICKS AND TREATS!!”

Papeeno just wants candy. The frog’s just in the area, you see! It’s all a coincidence. Your neighbors ordered a pizza, Omino and Brick were sent out to deliver it, and Pap tagged along to go trick-or-treating! And it just so happens that good ol’ Pap is banging a pizza dough fist against your door, of all doors. Lucky you!

Granted, you’d probably have more candy on hand if this ask hadn’t been sent on November 2nd, but. Well. You know. People still go trick-or-treating in November, right? It’s probably not weird to bang on someone’s door and demand candy while everyone else is already booting up the Christmas playlists. You try telling the frog Halloween ended two days ago —

....Was it bad for the Banana to realize that he had missed this specific frog? Compared to what the others had done, he'll take Papeeno over any other frog clone.

. "Wow! Ain't that a face I haven't seen in a long time!" Honestly. He's not even going to argue that 1) he himself wasn't handing out candies, and 2) that it was past Halloween to begin with. Who knows what karma would do to him if he even tried to; less he's asking to get his home invaded by 24 frogs next time.

. "Here you go, my froggy pal! That should be enough for a while! And that's not all!" Papeeno asked for both a treat AND a trick, right? With a wave of his mic as a 'magic wand' and a flick of his spherical hand...

Surprise! It's a $10 bill!

. "Ta-da! Here you go! I, ahh, was able to earn some money. So here's your $10 back." Oh. He's actually handing the orange frog the $10. Definitely not for any inner-guilt he may have had from taking it the first time around.

Hala does not want a soulmate. She never has. All that sounded like to her was someone who had power over you, one way or another. She knew he was out there. Caught glimpses of him as she walked, but she did her best to keep herself hidden, covered so that should he catch a glimpse, there'd be no way to find her. She's not about to give up her life just because the universe decrees she's meant to be someone’s. Screw the universe. It's never helped her before. The world is filled with reflective surfaces. It is not uncommon to find people staring in mirrors, into window displays, as they try to figure out who their soulmate is. It’s extremely popular to search, hoping it’s a celebrity or someone well-known. Hala is not stupid. A soulmate does not promise fidelity. It does not promise safety. do you think it's kinda shady that tony paid for mark's surgery out of nowhere? bc ao regularly work for njpw and only went to aew several times , so Tony really being generous out of his pure heart? this happen when wwe starts showing interest in AO 🤔 if i was mark i'd totally pick aew for this ..also this is just like jay's case , suddenly out of nowhere he chose aew after it was strongly rumored he is going to wwe.....

So, I personally haven't seen any reputable sources report that TK paid for Mark's surgery. It's all been hearsay from random people on Twitter and then smaller dirtsheets just parroting that narrative, so. Until Cageside Seats or WrestleVotes or (eyeroll) Meltzer or SRS says it happened―or better yet, TK or Mark themselves―I'm going to take that "news" with a HUGE grain of salt.

But what has made me raise an eyebrow is the rapid-fire timing of it all. Like just look at the timeline:

Sunday: Kyle announces at Resurgence that AO have to vacate the titles because Mark is injured, but they don't yet know the extent of the injury or how long he'll be out.

Tuesday: It's reported that Mark underwent surgery for a torn meniscus and will only be out 6 weeks or less.

Wednesday: It's reported mere hours before Dynamite that AO have WWE and AEW interest... Kyle loses to Orange... AO are #AllElite

Like how fucking froggy does TK have to be to make it happen that quick???

But look. Aussie Open deserve to be signed somewhere, and NJPW 100% dropped the fucking ball by not signing them after World Tag League. And honestly, I don't blame them for jumping to sign with another promotion, especially because I don't believe they should have had to vacate the titles if Mark is only expected to be out 6 weeks. Meanwhile, other champions have sat on NJPW titles for longer than that without defending them (I'm looking directly at a certain member of The Elite).

But AO also deserves success. And I'd be lying if I said I'm not worried (and even assuming) that they're just going to be woefully underbooked and misused like Jay has been so far 🙃
