Fellas, does anyone mind factchecking these tags? I'm no expert so I'll leave tis one for y'all to educate me. Please no hate, I just want to try my best to ubderstand the full situation.

If you’re just as displeased about the organization that runs AO3 kicking someone for being pro-Palestine (source 1) (source 2) as I am, here are some things you can do…

Use the OTW contact form and the AO3 feedback form to voice your displeasure. Additionally, inform them exactly how you will be withdrawing support until this issue is resolved.

Stop donating to AO3. This is an obvious one, but important. If you have previously donated, but will no longer be doing so, be sure to say it in your feedback form submission!

Switch fanfiction sites. Both for reading, AND for uploading. Alternatives include WattPad, Fanfiction.net, tumblr itself, or even hosting your fanfiction on a site of your own, via Neocities. Don’t want to stop using AO3’s tagging system? Check out SquidgeWorld, which uses AO3’s open-source code. It even has a rule against CSEM! While AO3 doesn’t get money from ad revenue, seeing the number of visitors drop will certainly get the message across.

Encourage others to do the same, and spread the word!

I wanna disclose something, i have no intention to get vcacinated against covid very soon. This is purely for personal reasons and not because i believe the vaccine should not be out there (i don't). I am not getting it soon because my body is always very sensitive to everything. Side effects that doctors tell me can't happen this way end up happening anyway and no one is ever sure why. I get vaccinated against things often, this is exclusive to the covid vaccines. They obviously didn't have to go through as much testing (long term testing) as other things, which is ubderstandable. But that still means there is a personal risk involved and someone like me is rather careful when it comes to that. Of course i care about not spreading the virus, wear masks and get tested when needed. Which is more than a lot of people who ARE currently vaccinated do. This is a problem.

The vaccine does not stop you spreading the virus.

Like it or not, you STILL have to be careful. You STILL have to wear masks. You STILL should get tested before events. I would like the vaccine to be a magical cure-all as much as anyone, but it simply isn't. It does work as well with newer variants and it does not prevent spreading the virus as much as you think it does.

I am not avoiding the vaccine at the moment because i don't care about the pandemic. I do care, but i also care about my own health and the "good" that getting vaccinated does for anyone else is so small that it is simply not a risk worth taking at the moment. This is my decision to make and not anyone else's. If you disagree with this feel free to unfollow me.
