Paradise: a place where wonderful humans get together and share their love of music in a place so beautiful that one has to shed all the stress of life and just be in a state of happy bliss. This place is called the Doe Bay Music Festival on Orcas island. My seventh straight @DoeBayFest was incredible. What a privilege to experience. While the music was amazing as always this year was all about connecting with wonderful people. I had some amazing conversations and experiences with people I've known for years. When you open yourself up to truly connecting with people really special things can happen. (at Doe Bay Fest)

I'm still blown away by all that we got to experience at @doebayfest this weekend. No, this photo isn't from that trip, but that's kinda the point. It was so freeing to experience the music and hear the stories that the artists were sharing without trying to make my own thing or "get the shot." I love just sitting and experiencing the art that someone else has cried over without striving to document or share it. All art forms have a place where you should just stop and enjoy the moment. Doe Bay Resort hold a really special place in my heart. Those who know me know I spend and inordinate amount of my travels at this place. It is the spot on this planet where I can constantly go to find myself. And what makes this place even better is that once a year for the last 8 years, it has played host to a fantastic little music festival. There just ins’t a better place to go, let go of all the things Im holding onto too tightly and be.
