DODO ANON MY LOVE honestly you are so right. i genuinely believe nowadays loads of words are getting thrown around without people truly understanding the actual meaning of those words. i've definitely experienced ACTUAL instances of toxicity (don't know if new readers know this but wifey's ex in maybe i do is actually based on my own ex!!) or have seen friends deal with it, but conflicts don't always equal toxicity either. not accusing the other anon of doing this but YOU ARE RIGHT DODO ANON! Ofc as an author i can't write a completely perfect character because people are not perfect. they do dumb things, make mistakes, act irrational when they're scared or sad or panicked or overall can exhibit unpleasant or unappealing behaviour.
