Paul and Linda, a collection of PDAs: Part 3 - Holding Hands & Linking Arms âŠ
⊠and arms around shoulders, etc.
This was a first: a rock music marriage that was openly romantic and family oriented. So many photos of them close together and always touching that we just have to say, âAww.â
Jan. 1969 From the documentary Get Back. An arm around the shoulder and some hand holding at the same time (multitasking đ)
March 4, 1969. At the London premiere of the film Isadora.
Aug. 22, 1969, six days before daughter Maryâs birth.
1970 or 1971
June 1971 Scotland. Still from the video for the song âHeart of The Countryâ
Nov. 8, 1971 Launch party for the band Wings and their debut album Wild Life at Empire Ballroom in West London.
July 16, 1972 A walk in Paris, France. Photo by Alain Dejean.
1973 Backstage during The James Paul McCartney TV special
1973.
1973 An arm around Linda plus groovy footwear all in the same photo. đ đ
April 1974 at Beverly Hills Hotel, where Paul and Linda stayed with their children while in L.A. to attend the Academy Awards.
July 18, 1974 at Curly Putmanâs farm in Lebanon, Tennessee (near Nashville)
Also appears to be Nashville, June or July of 1974. Paul had that haircut while he was in Nashville, and Linda had worn that same halter top in other Nashville photos.
1975 Photo shoot for People magazine cover story April 21, 1975 issue. The article title was âThe McCartneys Paul & Linda,â followed by a quote from Paul: âMy family is my life, then my music.â Photo by Harry Benson.
Gotta love those special pics of Paulâs hand clasping Lindaâs (or vice versa), with the wedding ring(s) clearly in view.
Nov. 1, 1975 Perth, Australia press conference. Another one of those lovely pics where Paul touches Lindaâs hand, which happens to be touching him. đ đ
1976 during the Wings Over America Tour (May 3, 1976 to Oct. 21, 1976). This was the U.S. part of the Wings Over The World Tour (Sept. 9, 1975 to Oct. 21, 1976).
1976 Family vacation in Saint Tropez. Either Paul just woke up yawning after a nap, or heâs surprised to see a photographer nearby. Linda is looking sun-kissed with her arm draped over Paulâs shoulder. Photo by James Andanson/Sygma.
1977 With bagpipe band for appearance on Mike Yarwood Christmas Show to perform the Wings single âMull of Kintyre.â A shortage of chairs, so Paul gives Linda his knee to sit on. What a gentleman. đčđ
Late 1970s. Hmm, are his eyes on their guest, or on something else? đ đ
May 14, 1980 Cannes, France for Cannes Film Festival, where Linda and director Oscar Grillo won the Palme DâOr for best short film, Seaside Woman, a 5-minute animation based on the first song Linda wrote in 1973.
June 23, 1982 During filming of music video for the song âTake It Awayâ on stage 4 at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, U.K.
1984 đ¶ I wanna hold your hand ⊠close to my heart (aww). đ Photos by Terry OâNeill.

Liz Gets a Boyfriend (March 2010 - October 2010)
So itâs clear something was happening with TayLiz before this point due to all the cuddling and movie theater dates and sleeping in the same room and all that. However, as the Valentineâs Day shenanigans so clearly demonstrated for us, Taylor clearly didnât see whatever was happening as a âreal relationship.â Likely because of this lack of committment, and (according to L Chat rumors) Lizâs very conservative homophobic family, Liz starts pursuing a guy she likes.
Meet Jason. Currently heâs a photographer for touring acts in Nashville, but at one point, he, like Liz, was a struggling musician in Nashville, and Liz was INTO HIM. So letâs get into that:
4 March 2010 - Fearless in Tampa. Back on tour.
23 March 2010 - Liz starts flirting with Jason on Twitter:
1 April 2010 - Liz tweets about Taylor (note the TAY again):
3 April 2010 - Liz tweets at Taylor with an inside joke about a quick change room. Itâs possible that theyâre still hooking up/whatever while Liz is pursuing Jason, but clearly neither of them see it as a real relationship.
7 April 2010 - Taylor makes a joke about Liz on Twitter:
15 April 2010 - TayLiz and Caitlin are papped shopping together
16 April 2010 - TayLiz are papped shopping together in Beverley Hills
26 April 2010 -Â Taylor posts the âDemonstrating my fine athletic skills and moreâ vlog. She dedicates a portion of the vlog to Liz and the background music of that part is a song called She by the band Parachute (Liz loves the band and is close friends with one of the members). Taylor wears her IKYWT shirt again.
youtube
30 April 2010 - Jasonâs birthday. Liz tweets at him about it.
In the Journey to Fearless documentary for the Hub, Taylor and Liz bake a cake for a guy she likes and wants to be her boyfriend. Taylor seems generally supportive of it. I think itâs reasonable to assume this is referring to Jason:
youtube
4 May 2010 -Â Â Liz tweets a link to Poison and Wine by the Civil Wars.Â
The chorus of Poison and Wine goes âI donât love you, but I always will.â Years and years after this, Liz will release a song called âI Donât LV U Anymoreâ where the chorus goes âI donât love you anymore, but I donât love you any less.â This may be a reach, but to me this signals that Liz is moving on from Taylor.
Liz and Caitlin attend the Time 100 most influential people gala with Taylor.
17 May 2010 - Liz and Jason attend a show together -- they seem to be officially dating at this point.
27 May 2010 - Lizâs birthday. Taylor attends her party. We know this because a BUNCH of Lizâs friends tweet about it:
In a funny coincidence, Bryan ends up dating (and eventually engaged to) Liz WAY down the line from now.
Sometime in June 2010 - Taylor, her family, and her band all go to the Bahamas together on vacation:
16 June 2010 -Â Taylor diaries about writing an up-tempo song that sounds like itâs Story of Us
To me, this reads as Taylor writing about all the mess TayLiz has turned into in the wake of JH and Jason. There are lines in Story of Us that are really similar to those in the unreleased song Battle/Letâs Go and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together where Taylor talks about a very messy very public fight and breakup that all of their friends were around for, as well as the person sheâs singing about having another person theyâre dating. This fits for this moment in time. Theyâve just been on tour, and then together in the Bahamas, surrounded by coworkers, friends, and family, and Liz has started seeing someone else.
21 June 2010 - Liz tweets from the Bahamas.
4 July 2010 - TayLiz decorate each other with stars for the 4th.
Liz gets flowers from Jason.
6 July 2010 - Liz and Jason get teased by a friend for making out in public:
10 July 2010 -Â Â Fearless in Cavendish, Canada. Last stop on the Fearless tour. Taylor writes a letter to her band calling the Fearless tour a âgolden age.â
State of Grace has the lyric âThis is the golden age of something good and right and real.â And Cardigan has the original lyric âLiving in a gold age, sneak into my bird cage.â
July 2010 - Taylor moves into her Nashville apartment (based on Never Grow Up secret message being âI moved out in Julyâ). Apparently her two guest bedrooms were initially decorated for Liz and Caitlin. Keep in mind, this apartment reportedly has a life-sized bird cage in it.
1 September 2010 - Taylor makes a MySpace post from Nashville
18 September 2010 - TayLiz and Andrea go to a wedding and take photos in the photobooth:
29 September 2010 - Jason gives Liz a Pez machine and she tweets about how great he is:
October 2010 - US Weekly releases a special on Taylor that contains this interesting possible reference to the lyric âSo you were never a saint, and I loved in shades of wrongâ from Treacherous:
Taylor is also quoted saying her and Liz like to have romcom movie nights together:
5 October 2010 - Speak Now is released as a single. Liz tweets about it and calls Taylor âTayâ again:
That same day, Glamour releases an interview with Taylor where she says Liz and Caitlin have their own rooms in her Nashville apartment:
14 October 2010 - Jason sends Liz flowers while sheâs at Speak Now rehearsals:
21 October 2010 - Mean is released as a single. Liz tweets about it, calls Taylor âTayâ yet again:
CONCLUSION:Â Liz is moving on. Taylor may or may not be happy about it. Speak Now is coming. So it makes sense that, whether for PR reasons, romantic reasons, or both, Taylor steps out with Jake Gyllenhaal in late October. And oh boy, is Liz about to be jealous:

Sarah Miller is a wedding planner, and Nichole Holmes is a realtor. These women are the Hilary and David of Netflix, but they are much more cordial with each other than the Love It or List It hosts. Couples can either go with Sarah's plan and craft a fabulous wedding day, or they can go with Nichole's best option for a family home.
RELATED:Â Flip Or Flop & 9 Best HGTV Home Design Reality TV Shows, Ranked By IMDb
It's not easy to make such a big decision and either put a wedding or a house on hold. Some of the couples on Marriage or Mortgage make the best choices for where they are in life, but others should have reconsidered.
10 Married: Alex & Precious
Alex and Precious have a lot to think about, and Sarah and Nichole pull out all the stops to try to influence their decision. After learning that Precious has fertility issues but wants to be a mother, Nichole includes a nursery in one of the house choices. This makes Precious very emotional and was a bit much for Nichole to present to her. Sarah keeps it a little more lighthearted and fills the wedding plans with all of Alex and Precious's favorite things. Cigars in Alex's dad's name are a thoughtful memorial, and Precious gets her fountain of ranch dressing. The wedding was a good and satisfying choice for the couple, in this case.
9 Mortgaged: Nick & Denise
"It's opening the door to the next chapter, it's giving a gift to someone else." These are the words Denise says when she and Nick choose the dream house Nichole showed them. Sarah definitely pulled some strings to make Denise and Nick's Graceland/Elvis wedding a viable option. However, Nichole won by leaving family touches all over a beautiful home, including a bedroom decorated for Nick's daughter, Tatum. In the end, Nick and Denise get the best of both worlds by eloping and using their hard-earned $25,000 for the down payment on their house. They mortgaged, and that's exactly what they should have done.
8 Married: Alex & Hayley
Alex and Hayley specifically want to live in West Nashville, but the churchgoing couple's situation is unusual. They have made the decision to wait on physical intimacy until they get married, yet they are still sharing a living space. For Alex and Hayley, living together means that someone has to go away and "crash with a friend" every night!
RELATED:Â All Of The Say Yes To The Dress Spin-Off Shows Ranked By Series Premiere
When the two decide to continue with this arrangement after buying a house, viewers certainly wonder why they didn't just get married instead. Hayley and Alex want to have enough space to host their Bible studies, but it seems odd and uncomfortable that one of them is forced to exit their brand new house each night. The couple should have gotten married in the first place, so it's a good thing that they got married about seven months after moving in.
7 Mortgaged: Cindy & Karla
Cindy and Karla make the decision to pursue the wedding Sarah has planned for them. Their reasons are admirable as they seek to model the power of all love. Their wedding ceremony is touching and their reception is lively, but there's one big issue. Karla and Cindy were looking into a new home to be able to leave the house Karla and her ex-wife once shared. It's special to see Pastor Cindy sitting at a desk in what could be her new home office, and the fresh start of a new space seems so right for her and Karla. They should have gone with the perfect house for them, but instead, they continued to save for their dream home after the wedding.
6 Married: Whitney & Alex
It's adorable watching Whitney and Alex tote their cat, Georgie, around in every home they visit. Nichole promises that she'll supply the bathtub of Alex's dreams, but Sarah has some tricks up her sleeve, too. The wedding planner takes Alex and Whitney to a divine dress shop, and she sets them up with a new photographer after learning they've had a bad experience with one before.
The trial photoshoot is a blast, and it's clear that the women would have a ball at their wedding. Even though they want to have a family and a house, they also deserve a special wedding day, so it's awesome that they choose that in the end.
5 Mortgaged: Scott & Brittany
Scott is in the army and is preparing for deployment, so he and Brittany are looking for a home that is close to Brittany's family. Brittany sees the importance of having a safe and stable space to live in, but she also wants a Cinderella wedding. Sarah delivers on the princess vision with a dance lesson and a sample carriage (and a Rolls Royce), but Nichole makes even more of an impression. When she has trouble satisfying all of Brittany and Scott's wish list items, Nichole shows them a property where they could build their forever home. In Marriage or Mortgaged fashion, Nichole has placed a stone in the grass with Brittany's deceased granddaddy's saying about family written on it. By the end of the episode, Scott and Brittany are already in the house they built, and they made the right decision. However, fans might like to know that they decided to squeeze in a wedding, too.
4 Married: Braxton & Emily
Braxton and Emily are each living at their parents' homes. They are trying to decide whether to purchase a home together or tie the knot first. They have some particular requests, like a high-pressure shower for Braxton to spend long amounts of time in. Nichole rises to the occasion and shows the couple some great choices. Sarah goes all out, too, from diamond rings for the bride and groom to a doughnut wall for the wedding reception. Emily and Braxton decide on a wedding at the end of the day. With the amazing discounts Sarah got them, the couple made a sound decision, although it left them residing separately for a time. They did move into an apartment together shortly after filming Marriage or Mortgage.
3 Mortgaged: Eli & Sarah
When it looks like the dream house Nichole showed Sarah and Eli is going to fall through, they are more motivated to choose marriage. As great a job as Sarah, the wedding planner, does for the young couple with a moonshine tasting, Nashville barbecue, and a helicopter ride, the wedding is not the right choice in the end.
RELATED:Â HGTV: 10 Throwback Decorating Shows You Forgot You Loved
Nichole and Sarah surprise Eli and Sarah the day after the young couple's decision on a wedding. It turns out that the dream house came through, so Sarah and Eli make a wise choice by putting their money towards that. Unfortunately, it looks as though Eli and Sarah might not be together anymore.
2 Married: Evan & Liz
Sarah wraps up the Nashville lifestyle and presents it to Liz and Evan through every aspect of wedding planning--including a stop at a food truck serving up classic Southern fare. Nichole tries to persuade them to make a sound investment in a home, thrilling Liz with a walk-in closet but also introducing the reality of extra expenses, like redoing a fence for more privacy. Liz and Evan choose their dream wedding, which was a great choice, even though the day was altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The wedding was smart in the long term because it gave Evan and Liz more time to figure out what they want in a home.
1 Mortgaged: Antonio & Raven
Antonio and Raven fell in love in college and have two young sons. The family would like to branch out of their small apartment and find a home that meets their needs. Nichole delivers on extra space, even staging a beautiful room for Raven to call her own.
Sarah ultimately wins the show by helping Antonio and Raven envision their dream wedding, and after all those years together, they decide to get married. Viewers can understand that choice, but Raven and Antonio deserve a comfortable home for their family, too. They should have chosen to mortgage, especially since they ended up putting their wedding on hold due to COVID-19.

Hereâs the truth, I donât know the very best angle to put your left pinky in order to make the picture look perfect. And to me I really donât care about that. I want you to feel something when you look at your art that you get back. To me showing your truly enjoying the moment is so much more important than where your left pinky is angled.
So hereâs to embracing the candid moments and feeling emotions even through still images.
