Where Is Our Nation Heading?
In the aftermath of yet another heinous crime, one is compelled to ask: where is our nation truly headed? What will be the solace for the parents who lost their child? What justice can they find in a system that seems to perpetually delay, if not outright deny, it? Those students who pour their hearts and souls into exams like NEET, hoping for a fair chance—were they served justice? What became of that case? Is it now a closed chapter, forgotten and dismissed? Has the judiciary done enough, or anything at all, to restore faith in the system?
We witness a recurring cycle: students gathering courage, giving their best in exams, only to be scammed and left with wasted years. This isn’t just about one incident—it's a reflection of a deeper, systemic failure. And for those who somehow make it through, what awaits them? This? A future where even their basic safety is not assured?
Why does our judiciary remain silent, dragging its feet while victims and their families suffer in agony? What became of the promises made after the candlelight marches of 2012? Justice served after seven long years and three months—what does that signify when we find ourselves back at square one? What is the value of justice delayed to the point of irrelevance?
Why do we, as a nation, wait so long? Do we need to witness something even more horrific before we demand change? Where is the government, so quick to agitate over issues of religion, politics, and caste, yet so conspicuously silent on matters of humanity? Where is the public outcry now, the same public that jammed entire cities in celebration when our team won the World Cup or when our athletes brought home medals?
Why is the nation silent now? Does our sense of nationality only emerge in moments of triumph? Where are those who are quick to criticize the government over every bill, yet remain silent on issues of profound human consequence? Is it because this is “just another rape case”? Because she wasn’t our sister, our daughter, or someone we knew personally?
Are we waiting for this horror to strike closer to home before we take a stand? Have we really descended to such a level of apathy? No government, no citizen, no political leader seems willing to speak out because it’s easier to fight over religion, to engage in political drama, than to confront the harsh reality of our social decay.
Is this how our nation will progress? By kicking aside those who suffer the most? The time for silence is over. The time for action is now. We cannot continue to be a nation that waits for tragedy after tragedy before awakening from its slumber. We must demand justice—not just for one, but for all. Only then can we hope to truly move forward.

Saw this online and holy shit I cannot even comprehend how one cay say stuff like this. According to this person eating beef is worse than rape or as he says "surprise sex". It's horrifying how they think that a person who they assumed ate beef because of their appearance or religion deserved to be mob lynched but someone who brutally raped and killed a girl deserves less punishment. There is no comparison between the two situations... it's crazy how anonymity gives people the idea that they can get away with saying or doing anything.
Tumblr media
And I'm not saying that you should go ahead and kill animals for no reason, everybody have their own eating preferences and you can't shame one for theirs. But if you really think that eating beef is a bigger sin that rape then you're a danger to society.

This is a cry for help. (from all of India, all women and all victims)
This is not like anything I have ever written before but this is something I just had to talk about. If you have an audience, no matter how big or small, please reblog or talk about this issue. I want this to be talked about internationally as well because I know my country, no matter how hard people try, the government will only be able to sweep this under the rug and there won't be a safer work environment. It is a cry of justice from all of India because of the rape and brutal murder of a medical student.
tw: the next part includes talk about SA and violent descriptions of the crime (i have marked where the descriptions end but please please please spread this news.)
why i need you to reach out- The last case that sparked this big of an online and community outrage was the Nirbhaya case in 2012. Out of the 6 guilty, 4 were hanged, 1 died in jail and 1 who was underage... spent time in juvenile and was let go with all traces of his identity unknown. His name was changed, his face never disclosed, for all I know, he could be roaming around anywhere in India or even outside. That story died down after a few months and now no one in our media talks about it, but an average of 90 rapes a day were reported to CBI (Central Beuro of Investigation) in 2022. I won't go into detail about it but that is a similar horror true story but I will link the resources if you want to read about it. Again, tw: it contains details about SA and violence. The link is there at the end of this post.
what happened- It was around 2 am. After a long, hard 36 hour shift, a 31 year old doctor went to a seminar room to lay down and take a short break after telling her mother that she was fine. In those hours of the night when almost the entire country was sleeping, that girl was brutally beat up, raped and murdered. I will be talking about what happened to her in the next paragraph because what happened to her was truly inhuman and the bastards who did this should be hanged publically so everyone can see the punishment for something as cruel and i lack the words to describe how disgusting this is. The hospital informed the parents that it was a suicide. The parents were made to wait 3 hours before finally being able to see the body of their daughter. And the worst part is, just to make the protests die down, within 24 hours the police announced that they had arrested a man who admitted to being guilty when it was evident that this was not a one-man job. the airpods found on the scene were found in the bluetooth settings of that mans phone and that is it. That is all the "investigation" has told us. I will be updating with any updates on this case but so far, only candle marches and protests have happened and that too by the students.
tw: talks in detail about the injuries.
details of the crime- the girl's legs were at 90 degree angles, her pelvic girdle fractured. her eyes were bleeding due to the glass from her glasses being smashed inside her eye. She was bleeding from every part of her body that was littered with scars, her vagina and her mouth. Her head sustaining head injuries as if it was bashed against a wall. The police suspect she was murdered before she was raped.
Here is why I said it was evident that it was not a one-man job. The amount of semen found inside her vagina was 150 grams. One ejaculation releases 15 grams keep that in mind.
the injury description ends here
how they have tried to cover it up- The hospital began renovating a room very close to the crime scene and gangs were made to trash the crime scene as well to compromise the evidence. The principal of the collage where this happened resigned but got a job just within 12 hours at another prestigious university. THE SAME PRINCIPAL WHO BLAMED THIS HORRIFIC INCIDENT ON THE VICTIM.
resources to help victims of violence and rape- Please reblog, please talk about this story so that it becomes an incident not repeated ever again. So that our mothers, our sisters, our daughters don't have to go through this ever again.
This is a cry for help.
As a medical aspirant myself, I'm scared for my future and the future of all other passionate girls who are trying their level best to work for their career.
the nirbhaya case- What is Nirbhaya case? | What is Nirbhaya case full story? | India News - Times of India (indiatimes.com) details about this case- What happened in the Kolkata rape case that triggered doctors’ protests? | Sexual Assault News | Al Jazeera rainn website and helpline- (for rape, abuse and incest)- RAINN | The nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization helpline- 800.656.HOPE (4673) other helpline numbers- Sexual abuse helplines in India (findahelpline.com)

Our country is burning. 13 heinous rape cases in the span of a week. A doctor working in a top medical college in the country was brutally raped and murdered. There are widespread protests in the country and amid the protests goons broke into the hospital and thrashed everything to destroy evidence. We don't feel safe in this country. We dont trust our government. Law enforcement is a joke. Please we need international help. Women of india need your help. Please spread this message as much as you can. It's a shame! It's a shame! It's a shame!
Even the one who saves lives is not safe in my country?
WHAT WAS HER FAULT?! that she wanted to rest??! That she went in there alone??!!
OR that she was a woman?

I survived an acid attack They told me not to worry; I can always get a plastic surgery,
I got cornered and harassed They told me I was not appropriately dressed,
I was brutally raped and murdered They debated that I was not pretty enough,
I worked overtime into the night They asked me what kind of 'work' I do,
I was in primary school They told me my skirt was not long enough,
I covered myself head to toe, and when someone tore me apart They told me not to step out in the world,
I was born, and the burried in minutes, They whispered, 'its a GIRL',
I was terrorised, traumatised, and victimised But in the end, it was all my fault.

are we really safe? did we really have achieved independence? it was supposed to be a day well spent and be proud of being an Indian but why should we? why was an innocent doctor who saves other people's lives was killed so brutally? why can't we all just live with peace as humans? did the “monsters” ever thought about any of these? if a doctor at her workspace wasn't free then who are we? if even one of us isn't free then we also aren't as a whole. Lady Justice is blind for justice to be served well. Praying that she won't be blind in the literal sense.

I'm so tired, i feel so exhausted, Is there any point in fighting for justice at all?? because as far as i can remember, we have never gotten it. All the protests, candle marches, nothing has ever worked. The dead has been dead, no one cares about the affected, no one gives a shit about the parents who lost daughter because of strangers' wrongdoings and ugly intentions and all we're left with is the feeling, is the fear, of "am i next?"
I'm so sick of the whole world. There's no humanity left in anyone. Even comparing these ugly creatures who call themselves 'human beings' to animals is an insult to them because animals infact would never even think of doing the shit that goes through these disgusting humans' minds.

tldr: girl please revisit the definition of consent
its like, a sex worker can still get traumatically raped or get violently coerced into an act just like an office worker can get stuck forcibly working unpaid overtime due to pressure or get raped by their boss in a Normal Work Office environment. and it doesn't eve have to be a woman!!
The act of simply watching people have sex is itself morally neutral. That's all porn is.
