HARK!!! I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT the idiotic statement of “isha was a plot device who only served to prove jinx’s humanity and empathy”

People love to say that isha turned into jinx. people love to say that she had no personality of her own. BUT. Isha didn’t “turn into jinx” any more than jinx “turned into isha.” Everything from her little fake jinx tattoos to her naivete and her desperation to “help” Isha is another side to jinx’s coin. They MATCH. Isha dressing like jinx and acting like jinx isnt her “becoming” jinx, its her MATCHING with jinx. Without her, jinx as a character, at least without silco, is just a symbol. Shes a husk. With isha, they are two irreplaceable sides of a coin and fit so perfectly, that match with one another. They cannot exist without eachother. We see this with jinx and her clear self destructive tendencies in the beginning of s2. and we see it again when IMMEDIATELY after ishas death jinx LITERALLY TRIES TO KILL HERSELF. because without isha there is no jinx and the show literally proves that to us time and time again. and it didnt “have” to be isha. jinx just needed something to make her whole and isha happened to stumble across at the perfect time in the perfect place.

all this to say, Isha didn’t slowly take parts of jinx’s personality. Jinx GAVE isha parts of herself. she gave her the drive and the will and the desperation to help people and save zaun and be a symbol. And in turn Isha gave Jinx her innocence and her love back. They are soul bound in almost the same way as jayce and viktor. which is why when she dies, Jinx quite literally is the not the same. she gets rid of her BRAIDS for christs sake, the one biggest symbol of who she is. she dyes her hair, the bright blue hair that everyone associated with jinx the symbol. she gets rid of everything that once connected her to jinx because jinx is no more. without isha there is no jinx. not in the way there once was.

anyway im done yapping i just HATE when people act like isha didnt have personality or character of her own i love isha so much isha for president chat

dean should’ve been allowed a lot of things but he only got the things that made him worst, the difference between dean and anyone from any show is that the environment dean’s in fosters and encouraged this type of behavior whereas anywhere else, in any other situation, it would contradict it in a way— perhaps try to tell the viewers a sweet story where the rugged, broken man overcomes and opens up through the power of friendship and love!!! but bc dean was made where he is and written the way he is, he will never escape his fate. his fate being the cycle of abuse. and by being the cycle of abuse i mean the victim and the perpetrator. lol.

i hope in the arcane void dimension, jayce had to live thru like a hundred time cycles where he was tasked with killing viktor (for the greater good bc viktor caused machine alien arcane ppl dystopia or caused the space-time continuum to deteriorate or something), but kept failing and having to go back in time/to another timeline to try again, until he was so mentally crazed and broken that he was acting purely on fear adrenaline rage confusion etc. when he finally did blast him in e6... mostly just bc i'm a masochist and want to watch jayce go thru every stage of grief realizing he has to kill viktor... although i'm 95% certain viktor will come back as a robot powered fully by ~the arcane~ thus having completed his evolution, and perhaps all traces of the man he once was will be gone, forever replaced by cosmic power manifest 😍

25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing

genuinely, hearing people aggressively complain about how much they DESPISED season 5 and how ladynoir is DEAD and adrienette are HORRIBLE TERRIBLE etc etc. like yeah even i felt a bit disappointed by s5 and i still complain to my best friend about how much i miss ladynoir but at the end of the day. is it that serious.

when i say im sick of hearing it it's more that im sick of people coming to talk to ME about it ajeked which im lucky doesnt happen anymore bc i just stopped spending time w people like that. i once was on a vc with some friends and was streaming myself drawing adrienette and they all went on a 20 minute tirade about how AWFUL they were and i was just like oh my god. what is happening right now. do you even like the show.

maybe im just very used to being in fandoms where you get fed SCRAPS from canon. like. imagine being a yoosung stan in 2016 and fighting for your life. imagine being a MIKAYUU stan in 2018. a MIKAYUUNOA stan. to me i feel like the whole point of fandom is to just take canon and roll with it. like i feel like the whole point of creating fan work is that you are in some way or another at least a LITTLE BIT frustrated by canon (why dont my blorbos kiss. i will make them kiss) but it's nbd because that's? normal?

Maybe five months ago, I was talking this over with… you… and I’m ever so sorry that I cannot remember exactly who you are, but I can attest that there was much discussion around the elusive charm of Shirley Blythe, and that I’d casually mentioned my singular favourite rendering of his in all fanfiction (involving spilled pencils and a first kiss and sprouting plane interest…), and yet I couldn’t produce a link. hello!!! it is very kind of you to ask in the first place 🖤 i don't mind if my gifs From Gifsets are used in posts that like... build on them in a collaborative way, like meta/analysis posts. but i'd rather they not be reposted [even with credit, whether a link or via the gif search thing] in stuff like faceclaim/gifhunt posts, fic posts, rp threads, moodboards, stuff like that. when i make gifsets it's usually with some overarching concept in mind—so the gifset itself is kind of the Creation, you know? and using component parts of a Creation to make something ELSE decontextualizes it from the whole thing, which i'd rather not happen to my stuff 😔

this being the internet, anyone can of course Do Whatever You Want Forever, but that's my personal take on it. i might not get to everything [life is a ♫ niiightmare ♫] but i'm also very open to requests for stuff, whether it's individual gifs or full sets or headers or whatever!

i’d sell my soul to know how angels experience music. like i know they taste things differently, the molecules of it all. and in my head i just always assumed that was the case for other senses, in one way or another. but with music i wonder if the emotion of the song, not the purposefully written one, but the performed one, the one put in almost unintentionally, the feeling in the room and mind at the time of recording, change the song for them. i hope they hear it like they’re standing right in the middle of the song itself, because god, i wish i could do that.

Thinking about fame!au wolfstar!daughter and her French album once again. Despite how many people thought it would flop internationally, it sold millions worldwide. I think her singing in French is a completely different feel. Especially since the album is made up of slower songs because it’s a chance to show off another, deeper part of her voice.
