Hello everybody, I've come to give you all this absurd reference guide for drawing Fresh. yep. I decided to spend hours slapping this together.

If I got anything wrong or should add anything PLEEEASE lemme know! All ideas welcome!

If you want to see my "research" on this character, let me know in the replies, because there's so much to talk about with him and I'd love to do a character analysis or two, I couldn't put much about his personality or source posts in this because it's just a drawing guide!

this design for Fresh is Tall, we dunno how tall but taller than CQ's Sans characters (or just Geno since he's literally sans undertale with some added steps). But his height is just his host's height sooo it can vary.

Glasses Off:

The host's soul shows up in their left eyesocket

- The soul tends to look unstable (cracks & a sortve stroboscopic effect.. i couldn't think of a better word.) but not in some cases...

It doesn't have to be a white upside-down heart, that's just a reference to an undertale monster soul.

He has a purple substance full of little RADs that emanate from his eyesockets (when his sunglasses are off)

"The soul in Fresh's eyes CAN be cracked. That soul isn't his. it belongs to his host. And.... after a while.... things go bad for the host, and he needs a new one." -CQ

(example of soul with unstable effect with no cracks) (example of soul with cracks but lacking the effect)

The purple aura(?) can glow and emanate from the eyes when his glasses are on too

i miss this one design specifically. the colors and the SK8 OR B SK8 shirt were peak

I miss the SWAG necklace...

Fresh leaves a rainbow cloud of smoke when he "poofs". Either teleporting him and his host body somewhere or leaving his host behind.

Human Designs:

Fresh can possess humans too.

They all look physically different because they're different people that he's possessing.

Fresh can possess pretty much any body, but I thought I'd show the varied examples of humans anyway

Don't forget the orange jacket flaps! or his hat propeller!

I dunno what's up with the multicolor tongue thing. I think it was extra parasites in the host's mouth? I feel like it was scrapped at some point... but I could be wrong

FURBIES!:

The REAL Parasite:

Fresh is actually this little parasite controlling a host body. (if you didn't know that why are you reading this post rn!?! but nah I love new Fresh fans, welcome!)

The main parasite is this purple one with the eyemouth and four(?) tendrils, the other colored tentacles are prrrobably Fresh's offspring (freshmageddon moment?) (I'm not actually sure, I'm just pretty sure they're not part of the main parasite but are parasite tentacles)

MY ASSESSMENT OF EP 1 OF MEGAMIND RULES! - MEGAMIND VS DUDE MONKEY

I'm going to be going through each episode of MEGAMIND RULES! to review them! Basically state my opinions and talk about how much I love Megamind and the things he does and stuff

Starting with episode 1, obviously.

S1 E1: Megamind vs Dude Monkey

I love the Megamind DreamWorks intro. I'm so happy we have one that was made specifically for him, at long last. It's perfect, too -- Megamind is the man (kid) on the moon, fishing for Chum. Brilliant! And the fact Megamind gets pulled down pahahaa

The theme is incredible, everyone knows it. I particularly love when Megamind throws the bags of money, we do a little spin around him, and then he kisses us. If I'd never seen him before, this would be the moment that I succumbed to his handsome-ry.

"You've met your match, Evildoer! For I, Megamind, am the hero of Metrocity! And you will feel my… steely justice with the force of a… an angrly llama!" -- Megamind working on his new act. He's used to spouting villainy, this is hard! "I think you're improving, sir! That's way better than attacking their mothers personally!"

"Villains, beware! For I am the White Knight of --" I assume he was going to say 'Metrocity'. I love the Batman references (The Dark Knight of Gotham). I am a huge Batman fan so to have Batman peppered throughout Megamind content is truly delighful.

Dude Monkey reminds me of Ron from Kim Possible. Except horrible. HAHA the subtitles when Dude Monkey says "shall we stop another crime?" are actually "shall we SCHTOP--" which is exactly how he pronounces it, HAHA! That's hilarious.

Megamind: What IS that thing?! (I love that he doesn't realize Dude Monkey is a person.)

Dude Monkey is so annoyingly obnoxious! Megamind: What in Hades' hamper just happened?! (That's such a good exclamation.)

Roxanne saying "I don't have actual control over the sun" feels like a Mr. Burns reference. Would that make Christina Christo Smithers? You know, I can see it.

Megamind breaking through the window and innocently Ollo-ing only to get a monitor thrown at his face is pure gold. Roxanne really has a thing for throwing things at people, doesn't she? She did it to Music Man in the original film too HAHA! She calls it "muscle memory", I wonder if she means "back when you were Evil and I had to defend myself". But DID she really even defend herself physically from Megamind back then? Hmm… we really need more content from the old Evil days.

Megamind likes tacos! Important! He also likes toquitos, chocolate milk, coffee, kombucha, and donuts, as I recall! Perhaps I missed something. If so, I'll find out soon enough (since I'm going to be going through the entire series again with Notice-Things Goggles on).

Megamind @ Nighty-Knight: "If he pops his Halloween head up again, I have just the treat for his tricks!" These lines are TOO good.

Megamind using the word "bombastic", PFFT! It fits right in with the others words often tied to him. "Mega", for example, and "Swag" (promotional items). "Uber" was also a popular word in the live-action script. I feel like all these words are a part of the same package. Also -- Bombastic apparently doesn't mean what it SOUNDS like it means. I was thinking "bomb" as in "amazing" and "tastic" as in "fantastic" but it's actually more of a negative term. I have a feeling Megamind didn't realize that either.

"Why hire a second-rate wanna-be when you can have a first-rate is-a-be?" Oh my God, Brent and Alan, I know they're the ones coming up with these lines, they're hilarious. This episode is super funny, every one of Megamind's lines are pure gold. You can really tell how much effort they put into writing the characters, especially his.

I love when Megamind nee-nah nee-nah nee-nah's Christina, maahahaha!

"What about that icèd cream you promised?" It's interesting, in the subtitles it has a little dash over the e (è) to convey the pronounciation. "Primarily used in languages like French, Italian, Catalan, and others to represent a slightly open 'e' sound." Fascinating! Megamind truly fears people laughing at him! He really doesn't want to come off as a "bafoon" in any way. He prides himself on his Mega-Mindery, for a while that's all he felt he had going for him -- plus, I mean, his very NAME is based on how intelligent he is. He expresses fear at being laughed at in the original film, too -- being in his jammies in front of Roxanne terrifies him! Running away from the pieces of Metroman's statue after he blew it up "I hope no one's seeing this!" Also there was concept art of Megamind as a kid being laughed at by all the students at school because he dressed up as a superhero and wore a wig. MEAN! I think it's part of why he doesn't like being laughed at and does what he can to ensure he isn't. Trauma!

This whole episode ties in really well with the original film, with Megamind wanting to be something he's not. He always has trouble with that; he wants to be perceived in a very specific way -- and that way is whatever gets him the most positive attention. My boy has trauma and he needs hugs (from Roxanne. Also kisses).

It's kinda funny, but what Nighty-Knight's up to is obvious if you pay attention to HIM during his scenes earlier in the episode. I… was not paying attention to him, at all. Had no idea what he was doing. Too busy looking at Megamind. (I think that's why sometimes in movies, in one scene the CGI will be fantastic and in the next scene it'll be sub-par, more of the money went toward one scene than the other.)

WOAH, I just realized Megamind said "Metro City" instead of "Metrocity" for the first time this ep! Ha! We do know he's capable of saying words correctly, he just tends not to, or forgets to. But when on camera, or when he knows he shouldn't, he changes it (such as right now, where he is on camera for his channel)! That happened in the original movie, too, where he's about to say "shool" to Roxanne as Bernaard, but quickly changes it to "school". It also happens in a later episode, when Megamind and Roxanne swap bodies. I think he categorizes things in his brain, and when one folder is open, the other is closed, so he is on and off with things depending on which folder is open. Kind of like he goes into modes. THIS Mega-mode doesn't say that, but the OTHER Mega-mode does.

See sero is an interesting case cause to me he is one of the funniest and most entertaining characters, he literally is just spider man without Spidey sense and y'all did NOTHING with him, my hero ended so this man didn't really even get much, but I like him he's funny, cool, his friendship with Kiri, denki and Mina are awesome, he's wasted potential

She was most surely looking up to him during her trainee days, watching his fancams and performances to assimilate/adopt some of his tricks for herself. Also, she thinks he's a bit (a bit MUCH) of a shyyy boy >.< Their first encounter for the Magnetic Tiktok Challenge was so cute; despite being both introverts, they quickly caught each other's vibe. Iroha was particularly enthusiastic about meeting him in person and somehow tried to keep it inside her so it wouldn't show too much. Deep inside, she would really like to get to know him better as a person and be friends, but she's afraid for some reason? :с Most likely, she is not yet very familiar with the industry and how connections are made, since some things in it do not imply friendship but only advancement that can bring mutual benefit. If someday they get the opportunity to do something together, it will be a great joy and experience for Iroha! Like a potential dance duet or something close to this? It would give her a chance to show off her skills next to one of the best dancers of the 4th generation, and thus people would be able to discern her uniqueness. She also likes his style, the way he's holding himself, and the fact that he doesn’t try to be something he’s not and show those emotions that he never correlated to just to impress someone, and that's not being blunt in her opinion. That's SO mysterious of him, as if he knows something about Iroha or ILLIT in particular that can negatively impact their career. Nevertheless, if she practices and improves constantly, she would be able to build a decent legacy that would last for a long time.

“Might wanna clean it again.” He doesn’t look from his phone as he rapid fires texts back and forth in the guys’ group chat.

Your head tilts slightly at his tone. It’s not harsh but there’s definitely no room for argument.

“I will, just not right now though.”

“I don’t know. You wouldn’t want it to get infected hun. Piercer said 2-3 times a day yeah?”

“Mhm and I already cleaned it once.”

“M’kay, just make sure you get it again before you fall asleep with it in.”

“What about you?” You cross your arms over your chest loosely.

“What about me?”

“How many times have you cleaned your piercings?”

He looks up from his phone, his eyes so innocently wide it’s almost comical.

Green eyes roll up to the ceiling as he thinks. “Mmh… 3 times I think? Once when I woke up, again after work and I just did it before coming to bed.”

“You’re so cautious it’s cute.”

“Well I have to be. Open wounds are no joke. And keloids are real. Just because there’s no leakage doesn’t mean they’re not there.”

You can’t help but to smile softly as he continues to list off all his knowledge and precautions towards both of your piercings.

“I’ll be sure to consult with you when I pierce my ears myself.”

His head whips to you, eyes even wider than before.

“Please don’t.” His face is set in a neutrally mortified expression, tone even.

“And why not?”

“I mean this in the least offensive way possible but you have no license, no training. What if you hit a nerve? Or a blood vessel? I just think having a professional to do it for you is the best decision safety-wise.”

“I promise I’m not gonna go into cardiac arrest from self-piercing my upper lobes babe.”

“I know you’re gonna go through with it regardless of what I say, but make me a promise? Please?” His body is completely turned to you now, phone abandoned in the sheets of the bed.

“Sure thing.”

“Promise you’ll do proper research. And be as cleanly as possible when you do it. The last thing I want for you is you accidentally injuring yourself.”

You walk over to where he’s sitting on the bed and cup his face in your hands. You scratch lightly at the curls behind his ears, careful to avoid his fresh lobe piercings.

“I promise that I’ll be very very careful and to keep everything properly sanitized. Because I’d hate to disappoint you.” You say, placing a soft peck on the tip of his nose.

“You look really good with these by the way.” You use your pointer finger to trace his earlobe, the small stud shining brightly against the reddened skin. His eyes lock with yours and a small smile graces his lips.

“You think so? It was hard choosing the placement at the shop. I didn’t wanna choose anything too gaudy.”

“Nah they look really good Izuku. Like, really good. They suit your face so well. I’m jealous.” In reality, you couldn’t help staring at him after he got his ears done. It matched up too well with his current look.

His wild afro-esk hair, the thin gold serpentine chain peeking from under his t-shirt and the black Wrangler cargos he sported made your head spin. Not to mention his freckle-kissed skin.

Izuku was already a fairly attractive man, but now? It’s like someone sprinkled diamonds on a bar of gold. The shiny new studs in his ears just made him impossibly more attractive and it was dizzying. Sitting here and staring at him, you wonder why you’d even fought him on cleaning your piercings again in the first place. Should’ve answered ‘yes’ from the get-go.

“Hun?” You’re brought back to reality at the sound of his voice. You take your hands off his face and run a single hand through his hair.

“Yeah?”

“You were staring at me for a bit. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, sorry. It’s hard not to honestly.”

“You’re flattering me.” A lopsided smile finds its home on his lips as he shakes his head.

“I’m so serious. Sometimes I’ll feel the need to just take in your features. It’s insane.” His eyes find yours in a mix of embarrassment and gratitude.

“My fault. Too much?”

“No, no! You’re fine, honest. I’m just not the best at taking compliments still but thank you, really.” The sudden need to reassure him ticks at your brain.

“Izuku, you are an incredibly attractive guy. You’re kind, witty, intelligent, and not to mention fine as hell. You should get used to compliments. You’ve got a lot going for you.”

A slight blush creeps onto his cheeks, tinting the skin under his freckles.

“I don’t think I’d be very successful with anyone else. It just… feels weird taking compliments that aren’t from you.”

“And you say you’re not a smooth talker.”

“______, please. I’m already embarrassed.” But it’s too late. You were already coming up with a freestyle in your head.

“Izuku too smoove, hot boy too smoove.” You chant in a sing-song tone, much to the man’s dismay. His face rests in the palm of his hands as you continue your antics.

“Hot boy too smoove~”

“Oh my god.”

Such a good episode! Not plot-heavy, just a silly episode. I'll gladly take it as my late birthday present. And it's great to have Swag back, kinda was half-expecting Chris to just pop out.

I've said this once and I'll say it again: I wouldn't mind if the rest of the year is just filled with goofy episodes. After all, we just came from WOTFI and we do need a bit of a break so the Team could work on the next arc. (From the looks of things, we might get goop!4 *cough cough*)

Loved the bits of animation and Mario's expressions as always.

Now, I know there is some talk about the SMG4 Crew/Mario Does Things being on hiatus and merging with the Saturday videos. If you can even call it that. Personally, I don't mind it. I completely understand if doing 2 episodes per week is a lot for the Team to handle, though I do wish they would give an explanation for it. I think the best solution would be for the Team making an announcement of the change, the reasons behind it, and how it may be different from the regular Saturday episodes. Also make it clear that "hey, the title says this so it doesn't impact the main storyline".

Anyway, it has been overall a pretty funny episode and I quite enjoyed it! Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna cry my eyes out watching the rest of Arcane Act 3 and bring that angst to the next episode concept :)
