Also, job seekers, I thought we all agreed back in like 2016 that cold-emailing hiring managers and randomly messaging employees at a company on LinkedIn immediately after you applied was a no-no? I thought it was super annoying and everyone hated when you did that? Why is that now the advice in every "how to get hired in 2025" post I see now?
