Chang'e 's adopted daughter, a former Queen of a Siberian monarchy

Has weird magical abilities that are vaguely similar to technology...

Basically she has telekinesis, barrier shields, uses giant mechanical gauntlets to move around (optional), can do finger guns like Makima (wow), can portal around, can eat anything that has "Chi" in it...

Though the downside is that she has all these powers that it kills her gradually, which is why she subconsciously almost anything she can get her sights on.

(Especially doors)

Well not that severe anymore thanks to the Celestial Realm chucking suppression shackles on her arms! (Though at the cost of her mobility and emotions)

Season 5-esque spoilers... She's actually an alien hybrid thanks to the "Divine intervention" that happened to her great great great 6x great grandfather long ago...

she lives in megapolis with her dads and her two best friends.

they run an online news blog together but he's the main passion behind it.

they all run around the city interviewing people for news about the magic drama to give the people * knowledge *.

they once spent a week chasing macaque down and failing only to bet swk he couldn't catch the guy without using his powers by monday.

he's interviewed yin and jin in different costumes 8 times now and have not noticed.

their dads play dnd with her and have for years so she's got a great evil laugh and acting/improv yes anding skills.

his cat is named sally.

MK, after being blessed with all of the many, and funny, mythos references thanks to OSP:

"Just don't pull an Actaeon and we'll be good."

"I thought I told you to take the sky back, why do I still have it?" (Talking about some object he got asked to hold onto but was never actually retrieved despite MK asking them to finally retrieve it)

*Playing DND* "I smack him in the head with my stick thing."

"I SWEAR TO TARTARUS AND BACK-"

"I blame Zeus."

"Did Loki put you up to this?"

I def hc MK in both canon and au being a big mythology nerd in general, not just for SWK.

He'd be the kid running around the library with a bunch of mythology books too mature for him to check out without an adult (Tang said no cus they'd both get in trouble with Pigsy). Has different phases of interest throughout his childhood - the parents probably can gauge how old MK is in some photos based on what mythology he was currently obsessed with.

SWK, pointing to a photo in an album: "Was MK seven or eight in this one?" Tang: "Just turned seven. See the little wooden sword on his belt?" Mac: "Ah. The King Arthur phase. He had a cake shaped like a rock that year." Pigsy: "Easiest to design really. He just wanted a fake sword coming out the top." Sandy: "Also the year he figured out how to turn himself into a squirrel cus of the disney movie." SWK: "He cried so much for that girl squirrel." MK, overhearing and getting emotional: "She didn't understand! She was in love but couldn't understand why Wart couldn't be with her! It was heartbreaking!"

I'm projecting because I was that kid who knew all the greek gods names, and by proxy all the planets and their moons.

MK would make obscure mythology jokes that no one gets except Mac (theatre and mythology nerd intertwine often), and a certain demon.

MK, very tired after eating a bunch of mooncakes: "Feeling like I ate the wrong kinda lotus rn." Everyone else in the room: ??? Red Son, suddenly starts laughing: "Oh because of the lotus-eaters! Sorry, it took me a moment. Very clever noodle-boy." MK: ( ♥ ͜ʖ ♥)

But yeah MK is 100% still a Monkey King nerd, but he also nerds about other mythological heroes. Has all the OSP mythos videos saved into his memory. Frequently blames his magic/divine problems on completely unrelated gods aka "Damn you Zeus!"

Ideas I have had for Season 4 (brought over from Twitter)! Gonna be full episode premises and just random tidbits, updated as I go!

- Since Mei is a streamer, it would be cool to have an episode from the perspective of her live stream!

- MK finds Jin and Yin a job so they LEAVE HIM ALONE.

- Tabletop RPG episode. It doesn't have to be DND inspired, but I want ROLEPLAY WEIRDNESS.

- Red Son gets a part time job at Pigsy’s. Please. This would be so funny and potentially wholesome.

- DBK and SWK have any kind of competition. Literally anything, I want INTERACTION.

- Tang and SWK try to out father figure each other to MK. They lose to Pigsy.

- Baseball episode, and you all know why! (Unless you don't know about the entire saga of Twitter making a baseball episode together.)

- But actually, basketball is the most popular spectator sport in China. CAN WE GET ONE OF THIS TOO?

- Sandy opens a cat cafe. I need this so much.

i think in my dnd au swk made his character a monk just bc he thought it was funny to have a monkey monk. and then he accidentally made it an unkillable god
