Some old art of my DnD character June! She's an Astral Self monk!

Story and trivia below

Abby Juniper Kellimaris felt crushed under the weight of her prestigious family title, being reared up by her mother to succeed her as ambassador of Harengon in Silverstrad. Sick of her coddling and restrictive upbringing, she ran away in impulsive teenage rebelion. Walking around late at night in fancy clothing went about as well as expected, as she was quickly targeted by a crime gang. After being rescued by a passing monk and invited to his monastery, June took on its teachings. Now an adult, she trained hard to never let herself be controled or rendered helpless ever again

Harengon naturally stand by fully planting their feet, but many, like in June's family, stand on their toes to appear taller. This can bring them foot and back problems over time, so fancier harengon shoes are tailored to hold the toe's position, like a heel.

The monastery that took June in practice the art of maniphesting one's soul as an ephemeral force, through extensive honing of the body. Although her previous pampered lifestyle made the daily physical excerption a nightmare to deal with at first, June's disciplined upbringing gave her the resolve needed to keep trudging on. Through this path, she hoped to hone her soul into a form of strength that would terrify any who dared underestimate her.

June is currently 24 years old, and hasn't seen her parents since her escape. She refuses to return as a way to prove her own independence, but a part of her also does so out of a deep seated shame.

This is Venwynn, or Wynne ("Winnie")!! Beloved harengon fey wanderer ranger <3

Still ironing out their backstory (what else is new lol) but I think Wynne's family, perhaps their grandparents or great grandparents? are feywild natives who relocated to the prime for reasons i haven't yet decided. Wynne spent their entire childhood hearing stories about life in the feywild, and the awesome and wonderous tales or their elders and ancestors. I think they really took an interest, and just on the brink of adolescence they began looking for ways to travel to the feywild themselves.

I kinda think they got there by accident, despite putting a lot of time and effort into getting there, stepping through a fairy circle by pure happenstance and finding themselves stuck in the feywild, unable to find a way home. Life in the feywild was NOT as fantastic as they had always dreamed, it turned out, and over the years they spent there they had to learn to survive and fend for themselves, quickly becoming quite an adept hunter and survivalist. In their young adulthood, they happened upon the archfey Cerunnos, who, impressed not just by their survival but their ability to thrive, offered to return them home, asking for nothing in return.

They easily took up the offer and were immediately transported back to the prime material plane, now sporting a large set of antlers as a mark of the Horned Lord. To their horror, however, it turns out that time flows differently in the feywild than it does in the material plane, and what was perhaps only a decade for Wynne ended up being perhaps almost a century in the mortal realm. Their home had been destroyed, their parents and siblings now all long dead, and they find themselves struggling to adjust to a world so much different from where they'd grown up.

I think their story arc would be about trying to find a place to belong, not quite suited for life in the prime but not quite wanting to return to the feywild. HOPEFULLY, it'll end up as a sort of found family sitch with the party they end up with, a bunch of misfits finding home and purpose with each other when there's no where else for them to go yknow?

Wynne means the world to me I love them so much <3

zombie au!!! featuring jack in his summer coat!

the way that this is like,,, barely an au though. wick is technically undead and his condition has been getting worse the last few sessions. but don't worry, we're definitely going to fix him and make him unundead (?) in tonight's session 🥰

jack is illiterate in canon, but in this au i decided he does get to read. but now instead of being regular words that he can't read, wick's journal is in some sort of cipher that jack has to crack. perhaps it'll have a zombie cure in it who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

and wick did have an episode a couple sessions ago where his corruption got triggered and he stabbed his hand into a guy and cast eldritch blast inside the dude, so there's a precedent for him going feral.

this guy doesn't know you from adam but he's really nice to you and puts himself in danger to help you and then your past catches up to you and leads to his death and if you stop blaming him for being weak for a moment you'll end up blaming yourself for it instead and you can't handle that. but now uh-oh he's alive and back (sort of) and now things are complicated. and i just think it's neat no matter the universe :3c

Birthday art!

Drew a birthday present for co player in another campaign! It was supposed to be a quick drawing but offff it took much longer than I expected

The one on the left is my character! His name is Araliss Galanodel‘ (everyone calls him Liss/Araliss) and he is an eladrin and my first (!!) ever dnd character. In the middle is a friend‘s harengon character. Her name is Vinka (we have a flower called Barvinok (it’s also her full name) in my native language). And on the left is character by my most precious person ; ; He is tabaxi and his name is Nimraakh (Nimra for short)

I also have a fully rendered suggestive art with the three of them that I drew for the previous birthday, but I think it wasn’t received well and … I’m still sad about it because I poured my soul and skill into it. I’ll show it tomorrow
