((Welp, our session just ended and we are almost TPKed again, had to end it mid battle, curu is surrounded and dashed ahead in order to disable the device that kind of reinforced the undead that are attacking us. Wizard is the only other one who is still up and hiding in her magic circle.
Wish us luck next session because if we don't have it this might be the end guys. xD))

Deep Dive on DnD Lore made me realizy that I accidentally made Ceres a princess and everything went down hill from there. Of course I had to give Ceres long hair on that one. Curume @deaddovesadventure

Big DnD Update, Guys
((TODAY WAS THE BEST SESSION EVER GUYS. Here is the recap:
Curumë Finally had a talk with our Cleric. He told him he was worried about him because he suspected him having sacrificed some of his life energy. Cleric at first did not want to talk about it, but said that if Curu told him what happened with his companions he would speak. So Curu opened up to him. Cleric didn't exactly say what happened in return, only that he didn't sacrifice his energy but someone else's. Then he left the room, however, Curumë noticed that he also left behind his Holy Symbol!!
During breakfast in the Inn Wizard had a giant mind Fuck reveal for Curumë, explaining to him that his daggers are somehow tormenting and wounding a creature on another plane of existence, which is bound in chains. Everytime he attacks, he adds another wound to it and onlookers start cheering. Those onlooker's cheers turn into the necromantic Energy he uses to fight. So wizard explained he is "fueling the darkness" Curumë of course was extremely frustrated that she told him this only now, and that he now got cursed daggers, after already having lost so much. But because he for once wanted to be a decent person and learn from his failure with his patron, he decided to make other daggers his pact weapon instead and put those cursed ones away for now.
The party had a giant argument while traveling. We came past a village tormented by bandits and our Fighter wanted to save them. Cleric disagreed and said we should focus on the main quest instead. Curumë of course was with Cleric. Because Curumë is Curumë he simply spurred his horse in the direction of the main quest. Fighter caught up to him and they had a argument, in which Curumë a) told her that this is a pointless endevear because there is so many cities with bandits and this is just a waste of time and won't make a difference. And b) when she disagreed, he snapped at her and told her that the party always ends up wasting time just because she has to feel like a Hero. :' ) That of course hurt her very much.... We did clear out the bandit camp
In the Final Act of this mind-bending session, we entered the temple ruins (not Curumë's temple, another one) and got attacked by shadows who ALMOST TPKed us. The battle was so intense. Curumë instantly regretted his choices about using different weapons and switched back to the cursed ones, and will now continue to use them because he cannot afford to lose another friend while he sits idly by or leads them to their death. It was also r revealed that Cleric is suddenly using Necromantic Energy to cast spells....
Bonus fuckery at the end of today's session: DM hinted that he is drawing certain party members to the side of the BBEG (the Dracolich . . . )
TLDR; BIG MIND FUCK BETRAYAL PARTY IS IN SHAMBLES TM, WHILE WE ALMOST DIED.
It was so damn GOOD. I can't wait until next week.))

((On a more positive note, and also to cheer myself up, I'll ramble into the void about our campaign. In the last two sessions, some interesting things happened:
For one, Curumë sneaked away from his party to hold a mock funeral for the friends that have forgotten about his existence, and nobody knows because this man never talks about anything.
Not to mention that his party has been kind of mean to him, because they don't understand why he is so upset, and he is in his own way here, but they are not making it better by their reactions.
Secondly, in the last session, the wizard told Curumë that the pair of daggers he has found and that are currently his pac weapon is fused with some kind of necromantic energy and he should be careful with using them, because they might be cursed.
Did he listen? Partly, but they have some really neat features he doesn't want to miss out on. Plus this fight was a very important one for our Dragonborn Cleric and Curumë needed all the advantages he could get. These are his pact weapons after all, if he doesn't use them he misses out on all the nice bonus Features. :' )
Suspicions and Theories: I wonder if DM wants to give me the option to turn him into a Hexblade, since he is patronless at the moment.))

((Also another thing I want to ramble about is a scene from our last session (before we all almost died again). We found out a lot more about Curumë’s daggers: They are apparently tied to another realm called the Shadow Realm (NOT THE YU GI OH ONE), which is the opposite of the Fey Realm and in the Lore of our DM’s world that is apparently where the Elves came from. And there are some Titans being held back in chains which were forged with the power that is in those weapons that the Daggers belong to… The problem is that the shadows that dwell in that realm hunt for those daggers to free the titans so they can unleash them, and that is why we got attacked by the shadows in the session before. We can appareantly stop this by performing a ritual in the shadow realm to hide the weapons again.
Either way the funny thing was Curu’s first reaction was a) Why do I care about some random titans?`b) Why carry these weapons around when they are so much trouble and almost kill my party members? He did not say the last part but that was his motivation. Anyway it was funy because fighter just said completely shocked. “Why would you throw away such power??”
I just laughed because it is so ironic. Curumë is going through such a shift in the campaign. He is really being tested though with our almost TPKes and especially the current fight. He only wants to stop his party from getting hurt if he can prevent it, because he can’t let another set of friends being taken from him and be (feel) responsible for their suffering.
So yeah… We will see where that leads him. But power? Super unappealing atm.))

I am so on the edge of my seat with what the heck our DM is plotting for Curumë's patron. I left him all the free space because I wanted to have a bit of mystery myself and also we are playing in his homebrew world so lore works different there.
But you know recently we learnt about the creation Myth of Rhym and it involves 3 sister goddesses and their towers and apparently one rumoured 4th sister they went to war against.
And I have suspicions that this might turn out to be my warlocks patron. And if it is I am still waiting for the big betrayal plotline because ... 🍿 We are talking about Curumë and he is questionable at best LOL
But we will see I really really want to find out what's going on. Hate waiting for the next session 😭

Full name: Curumë
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pansexual, Demiromantic
Pronouns: He/Him
O T H E R
Birthplace: (im still trying to figure that out)
Job: Adventurer (Class: Warlock), former Burglar (Class: Rogue)
Phobias: Curumë fears confined spaces as well as tight grips. He hates the feeling of being cornered and held tight in a spot. It makes him feel like choking. Curumë additionally finds deep bodies of water very unsettling, because he doesn't know what lies beneath and the thought of drowning terrifies him.
Guilty pleasures: Curumë has a weakspot for cute animals, such as bunnies or kittens. He'd never admit it though. Another one is his taste for expensive wines. It's a guilty pleasure for him, because he feels its somewhat snobbish, but he just can't help it.
Hobbies: He enjoys high-stake gambling. He also enjoy's doodling. Not that he has a talent for it. It's just something he finds fun to do and which gets his thoughts flowing. Another hobby he picked up after being forced into a pact with his patron is knife throwing. At first he just did it to practice his combat skills, but he actually enjoys it quite a bit, especially showing off with it.

OTP: I don't really have anyone I ship him with but I am also currently fleshing out his relationships and other people in his life. If I had to think about BG3 though and pick one of the companions... Either a hate-ship with Astarion, or a pretty functional one with Wyll because they can relate probably, though they would clash a lot about their ideals.
Acceptable Ships: What's that? I only know extremes!
OT3: None
Brotp: Astarion (but like Hate Brotp? LOL), Karlach maybe
Notp: Astarion (if you don't like hateships), but I also don't think that any of the other companions except for Wyll would even be compatible with him.

Before embracing his current life as a Warlock, Curume was an unremarkable street thug, a cog in the wheel of a criminal syndicate. Most of his endeavors involved low- to mid-level thefts, securing a life of comfort beyond the constraints of rules and regulations. Why labor within the confines of society when circumventing it could lead to a more lucrative existence?
Yet, Curume wasn't entirely without morals. He shared his ill-gotten gains with his gang members and friends from the criminal underworld when circumstances allowed. One of his daring heists led him to target a bizarre, reclusive wizard known for his obsession with ancient history, religions, cults, and arcane artifacts. While others deemed the wizard eccentric, it was an irresistible challenge for Curume.
The heist unfolded strangely, leading Curume into the heart of the wizard's library, a treasure trove of cryptic documents, enigmatic relics, and ancient tomes. His curiosity got the better of him, especially when he discovered an unusually adorned map. With a keen sense for opportunity, Curume handed over most of the loot to his client and gang, retaining the map and the cryptic notes strewn across the wizard's desk, hinting at even greater treasures.
Over the following months, Curume delved into deciphering the notes, many of which were written in an unfamiliar, archaic script. He indulged in countless daydreams about the potential rewards the map could lead to. Finally, he unraveled the truth: the language was abyssal, a fiendish tongue. The map pointed to an ancient temple that promised unimaginable riches from the depths of the hells.
Curume's thrill-seeking spirit couldn't resist the call. Alongside his most loyal comrades, he embarked on a journey to find this temple, hacking their way through dense undergrowth as they ventured deeper into the wilderness.
Upon entering the temple, things took a dark turn. Despite the tantalizing artifacts of immeasurable worth, it was a specific item that captivated Curume: an abyssal dagger, resting upon a sinister altar. The moment he laid hands on it, a fiend was summoned, locking the temple doors and rendering the party paralyzed, unable to flee, speak, or fight.
Horror washed over Curume as the fiend reveled in the idea of dragging them to the hells for their audacity. In a moment of desperation, Curume was allowed to speak and made an impulsive offer: he'd surrender his soul for their freedom.
But the fiend merely chuckled, explaining that Curume's soul alone wasn't enough to also save his companions. In a sinister twist, his companions were whisked away to the hells, leaving Curume to face a contract. Grinning, the fiend urged him to sign, adding a cryptic condition: "I'm not all malevolence. All I ask is that you occasionally deliver artifacts, knowledge, and fragments of wisdom to my temple. A small while, but a while nonetheless."
Yet, the most crucial line for Curume was this: "Perhaps offer the most precious thing you possess next time, and I'll release your companions as well." With that, the fiend vanished in a sulfurous haze, leaving behind only a note that encouraged Curume to explore his newfound Powers

Character Development I / ? - Curumë
First Question of this Character Development Excercise. What does your character tell everyone is their greatest fear? What is it actually? Is it the same? Why or why not? To most, Curumë would avoid talking about his fears in the first place, but around people he trusts, he often mentions that losing all the pleasures in life, like being able to do what he wants, when he wants or the loss of his collected wealth and influence is what he fears the most.
But that's only partly true. The things he really fears are being tied to obligations, taking responsibilities, and anything that would confine and restrict him. This is why he has a minor phobia of tight grips and closed spaces.
The pact with his patron triggers all of his fears, and for the first time, he has to deal with real responsibility because he owes his party that much. Performing a heist on an ancient temple without thinking it through shows his own recklessness and hubris, and Curumë knows this very well and thus is willing to take on the responsibility of saving his party.

((I'm so excited for DnD Tonight. :3c Last Session was a pretty emotionally important one for Curume because he held a "funeral" for his companions (they are not really dead, but they forgot about him by his own choices, its a longer story) and his past. Either way it is exciting to roleplay him now that his biggest motivator and all of his old bonds are destroyed.
Also, in the campaign story, we are on a very interesting mission right now! I love the cleric's plotline. :') ))

((I love how surprisingly sweet DnD!Curu can be while RP!Curu is just beyond saving xD" This is what happens when he has no good influences and I throw him into dire situations 24/7, but hey I am trying!! He just takes forever to consider anyone his acquaintance let alone friend. It took him roughly a year with his current party.))

[Haha, speak about Curumë being gentle. We're having our DnD session right now and Curumë and Wizard got a peak roleplay moment.
Wizard asked him what would happen if he broke his pact and if he'd still be able to use his magic, and of course in Game Curu doesn't know. So he told her that and Wizard asked if he was alright with losing his magic.
And Curumë just went "yeah, as long as I get my freedom and companions back." - though he quite enjoys the power he has now.
So he asked Wizard what she'd do but Wizard said she can't even imagine living without her magic. And she told him a little bit about a childhood prank.
And they just chilled together at the campfire before watch.
It was such a good moment. <3 <3 <3]
