Happy Sunday! Let’s start this week off on the right foot! I spend my Sundays preparing for the week ahead. I fill out my daily calendar and double check all the events and activities the kids have planned for the upcoming week. I review emails to make sure that I have written things down in my planner. I created this calendar when quarantine started forever ago because things were getting lost in the shuffle with the chaos of things. It is a daily calendar that is grouped into sections. It does not go hourly. I have tried an hourly daily calendar and then when things did not happen at that exact hour, my mind went crazy. So, I created this one to be an overview of the day. It has worked out so much better. I added this calendar to “The Dope Parent Kit” over at my store @thedopekidfest !! I also make sure the kids rooms are tidied up and clothes are ready for the school week. I try to add vacuuming and other household chores to this list to add a level of fitness because Sunday is my “rest day” for exercise. In order to close my ring, I do a little yoga but that is my daily exercise. This is my self-care. I cannot operate under chaos. The Unknown Land of Postpartum.

Ive been trying to think of different ways to express what I've been feeling lately, but I really can't piece it all together. As I approach my due date,  I'm starting to become more nervous than excited. My nerves aren't because of the birth process itself , even though I am nervous about that. I am more nervous about postpartum and everything that surrounds it. This pregnancy has brought me a lot of joy, but it has also brought a lot of , emotions , reality checks , loss of friendships, feeling alone and things I just never wanted to open my eyes too. Ive been doing everything that I can to make sure that Postpartum depression is something that I will not endure , but sometimes I can feel it all creeping on me , and that's a scary thing. I am a emotional, sensitive and sympathetic person , I will never deny that because sometimes these very things give me strength in a lot of situations especially when it comes to dealing with others and helping them . But my fear is that the things that I've been working so hard to let go of and heal from and those very things that I feel like gives me strength,  could bring me down postpartum. I will always do what I can to keep my head up . I won't let postpartum get the best of me. I just can't .

Gratitude! My brother told @wittenfitness once told me that spoiling your kids is okay as long as you teach them GRATITUDE! This little lady right here has really developed her gratitude attitude over the past year! Quarantine has bothered her the most out of my trill trio but she has worked really hard to stay positive! She has worked even harder to stay engaged in virtual learning and for the most part, she has been doing well. But this week her teacher added 2 digit SUBTRACTION! My lil fircracker was very perplexed with moving a ten to the ones position etc... so I spent some time between her Zooms and when over the material until she got it. Once her aha moment happened, she said “Mommy, one thing I will miss about going back to school is you not being there to help me when I need it because the teacher doesn’t always have time for us one on one” !!! I was blown away by her gratitude attitude and recognition of the importance of being able to have one on one learning time. Virtual learning has its bonuses. Our newest book to the Claros yellow bookshelf is TWINS by @mrvarianjohnson and illustrated by @shannondrewthis !!! My little firecracker is trying to make her best angry face to match the cover. How did she do? She is really turning the corner from reading picture book to graphic novels. We just got this today and she is almost done. Now I will be hearing about twins Maureen and Francine Carter for the next couple of weeks. Because she will read this over and over and over again. And I am here for it.
