The fun part is, I don't think the Faligon would hurt her. None of the casualties in that fight were people Falin knew. She even went out of her way to scoop Kabru away from Laios before crushing him, instead of going for the kill where Laios would take collatoral damage. Falin is still in there.

Sorry if something like this has already been asked but I'm curious. I can barely remember what I had for dinner a week ago, how do you remember all the details for Fools Gold from a campaign you did years ago? Does Felix still have his DM notes that you can use to cross reference?

I weirdly have a pretty good memory for campaigns. Sometimes things are missed. But I remember the over all story and beats we hit. I also have expanded on what we had. The dialog is not exactly what was said at the table simply cause I can't remember that detailed. HOWEVER There are some lines and jokes that are straight from the campaign simply because they were so good I couldn't forget them. Examples of this would be: Ep. 6 = hitting Sneeze's dead body onto the big crystal. Ep. 17= Vicky asking what Sips name was and him saying "NOPE TOO PERSONAL" Ep. 31 = Elowen saying "Ok now take this sledge hammer and give him a good smash!" I could name so many more but these are just a few. Fool's Gold is a retelling so it's not 100% accurate. I tried my best but a lot I've had to change or expand on, simply cause at the time we weren't thinking "Ok how does Sips curse work again???" We just kinda went with whatever Felix threw at us. If I ever change something I talk to Felix and make sure he's cool with it. This was how the other side of the portal was created. As the original version was just a bigger and more dangerous jungle. But I wanted to make it unique and special to reflect the story. There is sometimes I have to ask Felix about a characters name ect. He does have his notes from the campaign still but they are REAL sparse. He wasn't thinking about taking detailed notes at the beginning. His notes have gotten better now. Maybe one day we'll do a live stream and read through them haha Anyway, that's my long winded answer lol

day off in kyoto (2023) is march shim’s second ep, released on november 23, 2024. the ep consists of four songs she wrote and recorded during her two-week vacation in kyoto. the last track of the ep was a song written for two friends of hers from the industry, who would then create a series with the same title, with shim as one of the principal cast.

she started a music career only in 2021, releasing her debut ep, and then a full album in 2023. people say she the potential to become the next "pop princess" but she says she has no plans in doing music full-time since she prefers acting more and music is just a side hobby.

has been pit against march shim since they both rose to fame at the same time, but she doesn’t really care about the supposed rivalry and respects march as an artist.

sue me (2021) is karina yu's debut ep, released on september 8, 2021. her debut single off the ep was the title track, written after her former manager had tried to sue her the year prior.

new romantics (2023) is karina yu's first album, released on november 14, 2023. the album had been critically acclaimed, with all songs debuting at the billboard hot 100 during its first week. while people assumed she'd be focusing on her music career after this album, she had quickly clarified that music was just her hobby and that she intends to still focus on her acting career.

it's the genloss ep 2 anniversary! which means I'm gonna share my thoughts as I rewatch it for the first time in, uh, a few months. enjoy!

1. the Dread I felt at the beginning of this episode watching it live Oh Boy

4. I love Jerma's speaking cadence as the Puzzler it's so good, especially in the first room

5. it's really interesting to me how the majority of people instinctually pick the middle key

7. THE FLIP BETWEEN THE FILTER AND REALITY IS SO GOOD RAHH

I think it's cool how each episode becomes more real. like, ep 1 was treated like a sitcom (the characters didn't know they were on a show at all, cameras were treated as if they weren't there), ep 2 they know the cameras are there, but it doesn't really click until the very end, ep 3 they're all Aware. just a neat progression

I've been wondering why Sneeg's hat breaks the filter in this ep when he always wears it in the first, but it finally clicked (maybe I'm just a little silly, oops). it's a break of character. this Sneeg "isn't really a hat guy" bc he's a Different Character. the hat crosses wires in a way, and that discrepancy causes the filter to break. I think anyway

OOO in the wardrobe room Ranboo says "where should I look?" in the Same Tone they used in ep 1 when we actually helped them search. when they got "reset" (aka scruffed by an employee while walking through the door), they definitely got some memories messed up/some heavy controlling considering they're not nearly as worried about things as they were before. maybe that's why he reverts to ep 1 mannerisms. fresh reset = fresh mannerisms and speaking patterns (I definitely noticed this before but I'm appreciating it again shh)

25. also Sneeg trying to spell something = ep 1 reference

26. the wardrobe room gives DND party that took the puzzle in the completely wrong direction but it's funny so the DM doesn't wanna say anything

I'm seeing a lot of people afraid that Kabru is going to make fun of Laios, bully Laios, or turn around to mock Laios behind his back, and that's understandable. Especially since he did lie to Laios by pretending to like his omlette right after the Toshiro nightmare scenario of pent-up resentment.

But guys. Kabru hasn't actually done any of that yet. The bullying or mocking? It isn't there. Kabru has done some wild stuff. He contemplated killing Laios to get out of an awkward social situation. He thinks Laios' interest in monsters might make him dangerous in the future. But at the point we're at in the anime, he has never once secretly mocked Laios, undermined Laios to someone else, or thought of Laios as a person he can't respect. If that's how Kabru is secretly thinking about Laios, he hasn't shown his hand yet.

It does seem like that's where he might be going, with his fake ass bitch encouragement about eating monsters and inscrutable motivations. I totally get feeling anxious or defensive about the potential, but if you let that anxiety fill in the gaps of what we don't yet know about Kabru's feelings and intentions, you might end up missing a lot.

Or you might be right, and I just want people to wait until he actually does the thing to condemn him for it. I'm not gonna tell you where this is going.*

MY II THEORIES? OH BOY

both of these i have sent to another blog (their in my reposts, check out harris/knicklelover) but these are my two biggests theories atm:

theory 1:

in ep 18, right before the big concert scene with the song (ive been looping listening to

'I, I' btw. its a BANGER), it shows the prime shimmer/PS (thats what its called right?) and one of the shimmer guards/SG with this glowy tube box thing(i can send a pic in dms if needed. i think the dialogue was this(i havent rewatched in a hot minute:

SG: Are you sure about this?

PS: Yes. they are going to need it.

ITS SO CLEARLY IMPORTANT AND IVE

BEEN HAVING ISSUES WORDING IT. my suspicion is its another regeneration thing. all of mephones creation/regenerative powers came FROM that shimmer core within him, and i dont think it was sentient as we see with prime or baby shimmer. that glowy light stuff inside the tube has really only been affiliated WITH the shimmers. i think the box IS that shimmer core. if its no longer sentient and an ENTIRE RACE OF OBJECTS relys/relied ON its power to exist regularly, then its plausable the gaurd said 'are you sure' BECAUSE it was their kid (well, whats left of it).

theory 2:

so, here it is: each character’s “code” amplifies their gimmick/quirk (ex: tissues’ condishawn or oj’s ego) when they are on camera or in competition. i have one form of proof for this, that being the one and only

okay, so off the bat, trophy doesn’t have a whole lot of screentime. he’s an EARLY early boot, being eliminated in S2 Ep 4, but if you need to check my theory, heres where he appears:

-S2 EPs 1-4

-his fan's fantastical features episode

-Inanimate Comics!: he appears in half of the comics, those being “Complaints”, “Art Class.”, and “Butterflies.”

-Inanimate Insanity Shorts: Though not too major, he appears in “Waffling about.”

-S2 EP14 Opening Scene: Specifically after Fan runs off, you can hear him in the background.

-The II Movie

Okay, how does Trophy relate to your theory, Ozzy? LISTEN. Trophy, on show is a jerk. sorry knife, a jock. He’s competitive, temperamental, and rude. it’s his trait. This stands for the four episodes he competes, his FFF episode, and ep 16. these are the only times, at least to my understanding, he is filmed/a competitor. 

now, out of show. in the comic “Butterflies”, “Waffling about.”, the opening of ep 14, and eps 17 and 18(i cant remember if he DOES much in ep 17, but ill include it anyways), hes a lot tamer. no, i’m not saying hes angelic compared to himself on show, but its noticible. hes more composed, photographs instead of his jocky stuff, and overall seems more socially refined.

not to say these traits CANT be present. we see them in PRESENT in the comics “Complaints.” and “Art Class.” Hes, again, tempermental and a bit aggressive.

if this can apply to him, i think it could apply to EVERYONE. i’m not implying a complete absense of these, but i do think its to a greater degree in II.

I always knew Shawn being a lowkey d-bag would come to light one day. He still has the emotional maturity of a 17-year-old boy when it comes to relationships. He screwed over his high school sweetheart by blatantly lying and backtracking to say that every song he’s ever written since the beginning of his career is about Camila and fans called him out for like that like “umm no we literally have you on video saying it’s about this person, plus some songs on SM3 are about Hailey.” Yeah, let’s not forget when he was hooking up with Hailey Bieber (when she was Baldwin) but then pictures of him and Camila at a pizza place with his manager were posted, they were seen holding hands, and supposedly Hailey was upset because she was confused by what’s going on, which is how she started talking to Justin again because Shawn didn’t know how to define their “relationship”. But of course nothing happened between Shawn and Camilla at that point because she was dating that dude Matthew and then that’s when Shawn went on tour and was seen getting super close and cozy with his opening act, Alessia Cara and there was tons of rumors that they were hooking up on tour…. then he went and filmed Señorita with Camila weird things happen between them. Suddenly Camila is breaking up with Matthew (Let’s not forget Shawn was also hooking up with a Hailey look-alike around that time…she posted flowers he got her lol) and then he starts paying alessia cara dust and straight up Ignores her, and she releases a whole EP about that situation while still being on tour with Shawn.

Camila was also being weird because she knew what was going on between Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes and the girl was liking and stalking Alessia’s Instagram account….Shawn and Camila of course date for 2 years and then they break up and Camila gets a new boyfriend almost a year later and dates him for like seven months. It was that Austin guy. Then there’s rumors circling that Shawn and Sabrina are supposedly hooking up and that’s when Camila starts stalking Sabrina’s account and people thought it was a stretch, but obviously it wasn’t. On Shawn birthday Camila decides to do a pap walk with her boyfriend Austin for the first time and is found stalking Shawn’s fan accounts on Instagram and then not too long after we get pictures of Shawn and Sabrina publicly out together for the first time…In the midst of all this at the beginning of 2023, DM post that Shawn was supposedly seen outside of Camilla’s apartment with flowers, there was never any proof or pictures though…. And the last time Sabrina and Shawn are seen together in public is around March and then a few weeks later he pops up at Coachella with Camila. That influencer Tana talks about it on her podcast and mentions that she was shocked to see Shawn with Camila because the a week or two before Coachella she had just seen him with Sabrina at a party. Then of course Shawn and Camila date for like 6 to 3 weeks and they break it off and in somewhere between that the reality TV star Charlie Travers fits in (kind of irrelevant). Then rumors are flying that Sabrina is supposedly dating Barry which they make it official at the Vanity Fair party and Sabrina post pictures of herself from that night and then Shawn, who hasn’t been active on social media takes it upon himself to like her post after months of no interaction.

Camilla literally confirms a lot of this on her album. She confirms that she was texting Shawn and sending him stuff even goes as far as to say “does she get this wet for you baby?”. This is then confirmed on Sabrina‘s upcoming album. She says that she was talking to somebody that who was texting his ex-girlfriend. She found pictures of his ex on his phone and he kept playing mind games of going back-and-forth and didn’t know what he wanted. There’s a lot more stuff on Sabrina‘s album, so we’re just gonna have to wait for tonight.

they really made some baffling sartorial decisions in this ep like what's the in-universe reason that li rui and qf are the only ones wearing ee team uniform but then when they go take the challenge qf literally changes out of his uniform to do so. i know narratively it's gonna be so that he can go look for yx at happy cafe but then why not just have him not wearing the uniform here.

also i'm sorry but what even is this tshirt sweater collared shirt qf would never. it's not even red.

tbh i miss clear plastic jacket qf.

anyway. the flashbacks! his expressions! wahhhhh

despite all the other animation complaints, i think i like the fight animation in s3 more than in s2—they're more creative with the choreography which i really enjoy, that's something that you can only really get in this medium, that creative license with the game mechanics. in s2 i noticed they took a lot of shortcuts with like impact backgrounds and face closeups etc

i like this portrayal of the coaching match! obviously in the novel they can be much more subtle with it, vs here where yx has to point out things explicitly—but i like getting to know these specific details!
