Do you have more headcanons for the bachelor in paradise AU?

damn we really dredging up old posts of mine i love this!! and absolutely!! i am so sorry if any hardcore bachelor in paradise fans see this bc i am sure i’ll get details of the show wrong BUT since you asked ;)

percy is, of course, instantly a fan favourite, and i’m talking like twitter stans, LOTS of gifs, speculation posts etc...

him and rachel have a chaotic friendship that is full of teasing, like sibling-level kind of? but they also have lots of late-night chats caught by the cameras and that’s what make people go nuts over them

they kiss once (1) bc the producers are nudging them towards it and you know they’re both single, attractive people who are good friends so why not? and it’s a nice kiss! but they both agree there was practically nothing behind it even if audiences still go feral over their interactions (until someone else shows up but i’ll get to that later)

after the show rachel becomes really popular on instagram bc of how genuine and funny she is & she definitely rubs it in percy’s face that she has more followers than he does

so: clarisse and percy go on a date, and you may be wondering, grace, what was the date? of all the cruel things, the producers sent them on a walk on the beach! followered by candelit dinner! and light night stargazing! and no, they were not allowed to bow out so they tried to grit their teeth and bare it but holy shit percy can you chew any louder??? versus oh i’m sorry, i didn’t realize i was trying to impress anybody!! so yeah. obviously nothing comes of it but its probably one of the funniest moments on the show and they do become closer afterwards even if they would Literally Never admit to it

piper n jason come on around the same time midway through and IMMEDIATELY the producers are like ok now go on a date!! and bc of the ambiance and atmosphere, they kinda get lost in that? so like, lots of making out and not really actually getting to know each other but they have a blast taking advantage of the suites

near the end, piper has a long talk with annabeth n she realizes.. she doesn’t actually know jason? like sure, he’s a hot piece of ass but what’s beneath that ass of gold? she has no clue really, so she breaks it off

(at a cast reunion, they catch up and bond after finding out they both had a crush on reyna, and jason asks her out on a real, no camera date) (they get married two years later) 

now!! when annabeth shows up... the whole vibe changes

like yeah, grover n juniper were clearly going to get engaged at the end, and clarisse n percy were fun, and percy and rachel was interesting, but it was still all very.. reality tv show kind of gimmicky if you know what i mean?

when annabeth arrives, it grounds the show

there’s clearly something serious and real between her and percy and that gets more fans hooked than any dramatic twist the producers could cook up

they both kind of fight it in the beginning because a) it’s a reality tv show b) they are very much attracted to each other and scared the emotional part won’t live up to it and c) neither of them wants to get actually hurt especially not when everyone is watching their every move

so they dance around it but as episodes go by they become better and better friends (i mean i guess everyone does really but esp these two)

they do go on multiple dates bc that’s what the audience wants and they’re a bit shy n sweet at first but quickly (im talking first ten minutes) use it to just ROAST the other person n have a lot of laughs

on the last episode before annabeth leaves, percy sneaks them both out to the pool, and his intentions are honestly just to talk because he knows he really likes her and wants to try things without cameras and without all of that crap but she looks so fucking pretty in the moonlight and her green bathing suit that whoops- now they’re kissing

annabeth is the first one to notice the cameras who have finally caught up to them and they share one last kiss underwater before parting ways with a promise: to make their way back to each other after it’s all done

spoiler: they keep that promise

and yes, if you were wondering, the emotional part absolutely lives up to the physical

(and audiences finally get a clear picture of them together after annabeth sees a creepy paparazzi following them on their third date and kisses percy senseless in a crowded street out of spite) (he definitely does not mind i mean... annabeth is Hot when she takes charge)
