More on Kamala Program
September 9/27, 2020 Other than the WWF wrestler with the same name who passed this year and supported her presidential run, we have Ms. Marvel AKA Kamala. The first Pakistani Muslima inhuman turned superhero, Kamala Khan. She is to appear on Disney + Captain Marvel series.
Pakistan borders India, which is Kamala Harris’ mother’s motherland. The Muslims were sifted out of the country during and after colonization, even til now. In 1964 was another split, the Communist Party faction which is news to me. I never heard of a Soviet India before recently. Perhaps it’s the reason KK dons a red scarf around her neck and not on her head, like a good Muslim girl of marriageable age should.
Marvel shines the light on comic book diversity, it’s progressive to see Islam included in Marvel Universe fighting alongside Dr. Strange who received his mystical arts training from Asia. East meets West in the Marvel Cosmos. Is there any magic going to make it so Kamala Harris becomes the FIRST Caribbean, Black, Asian, woman Vice President of the United States? I guess we’ll have to see...
Pakistan has already broken the ice and had “female” Prime Ministers and political leaders, such as Prime Minister Bhutto who was noted for “having a ‘chameleon-like’ quality to blend into her environment.” Kamala Khan’s superpower is shapeshifting which will have a similar effect.
President Donald Trump is portrayed as a super hero in his presidential campaign comic book.
