my most “liberal” media take is that not only is “revolutionary oppressed person who chooses to commit war crimes” a real type of person, but an important type of person to explore in art. sometimes, people who are correct do heinous shit. it’s better to reconcile with that than to blindly defend individuals who enjoy finally being able to be the boot. there are ways to go about writing this that don’t both-sides or dismiss political violence entirely
