@diveintovortex has just made the remarkable observation that there is a background music in Beyond Evil that isn't part of the official OST album.
I have yet to check the accuracy of this in rewatching the whole show (and isn't it insane to rewatch a whole series just to check the OST, my god Beyond Evil drives us all insane) but so far, this one special soundtrack plays in only two key moments:
1. The moment when Han Kihwan was in his car with Lee Changjin, telling him about how Han Joowon takes after his mother, Lee Suyeon, in that they're both pathetic and weak people because they don't know how to reach out to others for help. 2. The moment when Han Joowon arrests Lee Dongsik.
Again, I'm not sure if there are other moments in which this specific soundtrack is played, but with these key moments as the only ones the music is used so far, it's safe to say that this music is something akin to "Han Joowon's Theme".
It's—a heartrending juxtaposition of loss and abandonment: the loss of human connection, the fear of losing someone you love.
It's—a heartbreaking juxtaposition between Han Joowon's mother, and Han Jowoon's partner.
Lee Suyeon, the mother who abandoned him, and made Joowon into the kind of person who believes that everyone he ever allows himself to love will leave him in the end—therefore there's no use for human attachment.
And then, to juxtapose that with him arresting Lee Dongsik, heartbreakingly reinforcing the fact that in the end, he has to let go of everyone he has ever allowed himself to love.
And in both cases—it's because of him.
“If I leave Joowon here, will you let me go?”
"If you don't arrest me, I won't ever turn myself in. Please arrest me now."
This is the young boy who had never forgotten that the only reason his mother felt trapped in a loveless, abusive marriage is because of him.
This is the young man who had never forgotten that his partner had promised to turn himself to him, for him to arrest himself.
This is the young boy who stepped back when his mother reached out to him, refusing when she asked him to come to her.
This is the young man whose partner had to be the one to reach out to take his hand, for him to make the final arrest.
This is—the music of Han Joowon's heart breaking over and over again as he is forced to let go of the person he loves.
Because this is what they believe is the right choice they should make for their own life. Even if it meant breaking Joowon's heart.
Even if it meant breaking Joowon.
It makes the coda in the end so much more meaningful now, to juxtapose the scene of Joowon finally visiting the grave of the mother who abandoned him—and reuniting with the partner he himself had handcuffed, once upon a time.
His mother had never—and will never—come back to him, ever.
His partner—did.

7 REASONS WHY MILVERTON CAN STILL BE ALIVE
Reading @diveintovortex 's recent post, I again, got inspired to make an analysis why Milverton can still be alive. I already did one like this before, related to the main antagonist of the James Bond universe, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, but today's post will rely heavily on the manga. Here, I will raise seven points why Milverton might not gone yet and we can suspect to see him again.
1, CHARACTER DESIGN
Milverton is one of the most detailed, most bothersome to draw characters of Yuumori (especially with that hair). If we look more deeply into the manga, we can see that the characters who only appeared for a few chapters - like Whiteley - are always designed in a more simple way. Milverton's character design has too much work in it, it wouldn't worth it if this was all the storytime he got. Milverton's distinct look suggests that he was meant to be much more than just a plot-device overall, he is a character on his own who still has hella lot of potential in him.
2, EYE COLOUR
Yes, I can list it under the point above as well - but I wanna focus on this a little more. Only three characters has unnatural, symbolic eye colours in the series: William, the main character, his brother, Louis - who gets important later on - and Milverton. Considering this tendency, his eye colour - beside it referencing snakes - also implies that Milverton is an important character - again: a character, not a plot-device - but Milverton was mostly just a plot-device yet, whose role was getting Sherlock and William face each other. Maybe, just like Louis, he gets important later on.
3, THE LITTLE TRIVIAS
Milverton has some, for the plot, seemingly irrelevant trivia the manga just casually drops at us - like his branch firm in New York. This New York connection gets interesting since Sherliam also ended up in New York. Was this just a coincidence? Or we will come back to this in Part 2?
4, THE RUSKIN SCENE
Ruskin, unlike Milverton was never meant to be an important character - his character design got re-used from The Adventure of One Student and we didn't even get to know his first name - but the manga still gave him a little focus at the end of Two Criminals, where we can see him searching for Milverton instead of saving himself from the burning house. He most likely survived and I'm sure there was a reason his love for Milverton got some attention in that chapter. I used to speculate that it was to forecast that he will get back to get revenge for his boss later - but again, his character design doesn't suggest he is an important character. On the other hand, that scene could be also to hint that Ruskin will save Milverton. Ruskin is not stupid - he could suspect what happened from the open door where Milverton jumped out - and that door could also provide the fastest way for Ruskin to leave the about-to-crash house. Not much time passed since Milverton got shot who could survive if Ruskin gets him out of the water in time. If he jumped into the water to escape, he might've found Milverton as well.
5, THE WATER PARALLEL
This point was suggested by @shreddedleopard during one of our talks whom I fully credit the idea to. Milverton keeps paralelling William in poses, methods - and even in "death": William "died" by falling into the water, too. If this was meant to be yet another parallel between the two, that also suggests that Milverton as well, might turn out to be alive.
6, SHERLOCK AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS MURDER
Milverton's body was never found what let Sherlock escape from the consequences of the murder. However, this might not be the true reason why his body never got found - Milverton's death was actually too bothersome if it was meant to be only for this. It would've been simplier if he just got shot, dying inmediately and his body getting burned with the house and Sherlock could've get away with the murder in this case, too. Milverton also didn't got shot in the heart, but suffered injuries what he could survive if he gets treated in time. If the writer truly wanted us to fully believe that Milverton is dead, it could've been done easily with a heartshot.
7, YUUMORI IS A SHERLOCK HOLMES ADAPTATION
Despite that Moriarty the Patriot gets inspiration from other places than Sherlock Holmes stories - like the James Bond universe or The Dark Knight movie - it's still a story focusing on Sherlock Holmes characters - and the most iconic Sherlock villain beside Moriarty, Irene Adler or Moran is Charles Augustus Milverton... who still has lot of potential. And beside him, who could be the next antagonist in Part 2? The other Sherlock villains who didn't get used yet aren't as much of a big names. That's another point what can suggest that Milverton's arc is still unfinished.
Milverton not getting enough attention in Part 1 despite he clearly implied to be an important character was due to putting too much focus on him could complicate or even get the attention away from the Moriarty Plan what was the main theme of the series in Part 1. Maybe what we saw about Milverton yet was just an introduction and now, that we already know how dangerous and evil he can be, we can see more of his evil in Part 2. Because I'm sure if he is alive, he is ready to commit even bigger atrocities what we could imagine.

William and Albert have such a fake smile
(Alberts hair look so bad here lol)
Anyway this is the smile they most of the time carry around, it never reached there eyes because they don't smile they just put on a grimace, a mask to hide whatever must be hidden and they look really awkward + fake with it.
Louis dosen't smile often too but when he does It's a genuine smile but there was once this time skip chapter were he faked it.
Guys it really lookes like Albert has a Mole near his jaw on the neck or something please tell me you see it too and I never saw it before!!!!
This picture is a very great example, there smiles look more happier I'd say. Specially the first one, after all the sadness there finally togehter again. And also the first one is when they did business as lord of crimes.
However the anime did bring more effort in some ways to make there smiles look more geniuen more times.
There smiles look less awkward and less forced.
(Here maybe It's because there also alone and not doing Business)
I have to give the anime credits for making Alberts hair look better they look wayyyy more in place but they looked chaotic only when he had his hat on. Acually they looks chaotic all the time sometimes in the anime too.
However they sometimes made Williams hair look wayyy too big, for examples when we see his side Profil his hair looks so damn big on the back like what.
Louis honestly has the best hair from all of the characters there.
James and Sebastians hair looks too chaotic sometimes, freds hair sometimes reminded me of a hedgehog (I still love there hair and this is no hate)
But I also really liked Von herders hair and patterson his hair.
Anyways lets go back to there smiles again-
Here we can see him looking at william and his smile looks so fake again plus he is quit angry and he destroyed a little from the glass, It's likely he did that out of his own Anger and it mustn't have anything to do with the picture.
But maybe, maybe, mabye he saw trough that smile and saw the pain he hide, all the crimes and sadness and was so angry that they and most Importenly his little brother had to do that too.
He wanted to change the World but at what cost? At the cost of there happiness.
Or he was angry that it wasn't already changed?
Or he just didn't like the pic who knows ?
Also In that one chapter where Louis was on a Mission he had the Name "Lucas J. Morgans" as if no one could tell that the names could be connected somehow.
But Louis is really over looked even now after everything and he became in Charge of everything.
I think ppl see him as the cute boy and he is cute just like fred but lets not forget what they're capebale of.
He looks so matured and good in here like wow, he is so Handsome.
(Ig those old clichy movies are right, change your hair just a little and remove the glasses and your a whole new person)
Thankyou all for reading
❤️

@diveintovortex has made another fascinating discovery about the music that plays during Joowon's arrest of Dongsik, and when Han Kihwan compares Joowon to his mother as he stands in the rain.
There's apparently a 3rd scene in which it plays:
When Dongsik told Jihwa that he can't let Joowon go to hell alone.
I reiterate my theory that this music can somewhat be referred to as "Joowon's Theme", because in all 3 scenes, Joowon is the central topic.
I have a twofold interpretation of what this music means for this specific scene, but before that, let me share a tangential but related theory:
If there really is no other scene that this specific music is played in earlier episodes, then this must mean it's been composed late, just for the final two episodes of the show (Episodes 15-16).
Take note that albums are prepared much earlier for release, so if this music was only composed towards the end of the production for the actual show, then it makes sense that the music did not make it to the official Beyond Evil OST album, for the simple reason that the schedule of the music's final composition didn't make it in time to be part of the album's official release and distribution.
That being said, given the trio of scenes centering around the theme of reaching out, these are my twofold interpretations:
Han Joowon
In my previous post I talked about how the music seems to evoke the central theme of loss, longing, reaching out, and letting go, particularly when it pertains to the twofold relationship Joowon has with his mother, and with Dongsik.
@diveintovortex took it a step further and juxtaposed this as well with Joowon's relationship with his father.
What's fascinating to juxtapose now is the way the music is used in succession in three specific scenes:
When Han Kihwan talks about Joowon as weak because he's incapable of accepting other people's offered hand when they reach out to him.
When Dongsik tells Jihwa that he can't let Joowon go down for his father's sins alone.
When Dongsik surrenders himself to Joowon in the end, fulfiling his promise that even in this, they will go down together.
What the music is meant to center on, therefore, is this beautiful, heartrending journey of Joowon finally having someone reach out to him, and Joowon finally, finally accepting that offered hand in return.
It's why everything about the story is written in a way that is meant to come back full circle, because with the arrest scene in the end, it's not only figurative, but literal: Dongsik truly does offer his hands for Joowon to take, for Joowon to latch handcuffs on—and forever lock their relationship together in a way that will always be inescapable.
Inseperable.
A willing surrender—to each other.
Oh Jihwa
And while I know this is meant to center Joowon's journey of finally letting someone in—that he's finally, finally not alone anymore—I can't help but relate this central theme of reaching out to Jihwa, too. That there's a reason this music played between her and Dongsik, too.
Because I realize that all this time—she must have been feeling left out, too. And this is her aching to reach out, especially to Dongsik, to let her in, too.
She's expressed this frustration several times over the course of the show, when she can't help but feel left out especially within the small circle of friendship she shares with both Dongsik and Jeongje—both of whom she grew up with, has been friends with for 31 years, and whom she regards as her dearest friends.
And yet many times, both Dongsik and Jeongje have shunned her: Dongsik in wanting to protect her, and Jeongje—in many ways, in wanting to protect himself.
Dongsik didn't want to let Jihwa in too close to the situation, not just so that she won't get hurt, as Dongsik knows Jihwa is more than capable of protecting herself, but more importantly—so that Jihwa doesn't have to compromise her values and her job in helping Dongsik out.
Dongsik has already resigned himself to being branded as a criminal; he can't let Jihwa become one, too.
With Jeongje—I think there's a part of him that has always been afraid that letting Jihwa in too close would eventually also make him face the truths about himself that he's been running away from, for 21 years. Unlike Dongsik, who leaves Jeongje well enough alone because Dongsik trusts him far too much, Jeongje knows that—with her intellect, tenaciousness, and unshakeable principles—Jihwa won't.
Jihwa has consistently been the one between the three of them who's stubborn and persistent in finding out the truth—and it's precisely why Jeongje can't let her get too close, either.
Jihwa, however, doesn't know either of these things about Dongsik and Jeongje. And you can clearly tell that she isn't just frustrated about it—she's also deeply hurt.
Kim Shinrok's brilliant acting comes beautifully, heartbreakingly into play when Jihwa finally bursts into angry tears in front of Dongsik.
Essentially, what she's saying to Dongsik is parallel to what Dongsik has been saying all along to Joowon, too:
"I'm your friend. Please, let me in.
Don't I deserve your trust, too?"

THE WHITE KNIGHT ARC AND ITS CONNECTIONS TO THE DARK KNIGHT MOVIE
Since it came up in my last analysis, I got the urge to rewatch the Dark Knight movie so it's finally my time to make an in-depth comparison between this and the White Knight arc which is heavily inspired by the movie.
I will list all similarities I could find by comparing the Yuumori characters to their Dark Knight movie counterparts. I will mention the differences when it is interesting, but I didn't want to turn this into a movie review, so The Dark Knight is still worth watching. However, even with that, warning: there will be spoilers regarding the movie.
(And since you've mentioned you would be interested, @diveintovortex , I ping you.)
But before I switch to the character comparison, here's these two covers where the manga actually referenced the movie with using one of its most popular quotes (said in a crucial moment by Harvey Dent).
"The night is the darkest just before the dawn. And the dawn is coming."
The three main characters of the arc and the Dark Knight movie roles they have: the Lord of Crime/Batman, Adam Whiteley/Harvey Dent and Milverton/Joker.
THE LORD OF CRIME / BATMAN
Let's talk about the similarities between the Lord of Crime (here, I will mean the role, so not just William, but all three Moriarties) and Batman.
First, they have some similar tools - the Lord of Crime shown to use something similar to Batman's equipment he can get onto buildings with, he also wears a coat.
Both of them hides their identity from the public and both of them have a well-respected public persona - the Moriarties are nobles and Batman is a wealthy businessman, Bruce Wayne. Both of them also donate a lot.
Both of them has an agent/informant in the police - for the Lord of Crime, it is Patterson, for Batman, it is James Gordon (and both Patterson and James Gordon wear glasses).
Both Batman and the Lord of Crime are someone the common people looked up to first and saw as their hope - then their views changed when Whiteley and Harvey Dent arrived to the scene.
Both Batman and the Lord of Crime fight for a good cause, to make a better society with means outside of the law (but unlike the LoC, Batman doesn't kill). Batman wants to clean Gotham from the mobs and the Lord of Crime England from the evil nobles. Gotham and England are also shown to have similar curses what makes the people on the low's life a hell - Gotham has corruption what makes the city unable to thrive and England has the class system.
They both got refered to with the name "Dark Knight. For Batman, it occurs at the end of the movie and for the Lord of Crime, it's the title of the next chapter (which, despite that the Lord of Crime doesn't appear in it, is all about the Lord of Crime in talks between Milverton and Ruskin and Sherlock and Mycroft).
Getting more into the plot-wise similarities - at the start of the White Knight arc, someone complains that kids nowadays play that they are the Lord of Crime and even injuring each other during that. At the start of the movie, people dressing up as Batman show up and fight criminals in even more violent ways (like using guns what Batman never used) which also lead to complaining from the ordinary people.
In the movie, Batman catches the Chinese mob leader and gives him to Harvey Dent, so through the information he can get from him, Dent can catch the other mob leaders - while in Yuumori, Albert gives information to Whiteley about the corruption in the House of Lords and their connections to the mafia. These informations can be used to Dent and Whiteley solve the problems.
As Harvey Dent becames the hero Gotham needs and seems to be able to solve the problems, Bruce Wayne thinks he can quit being Batman - just like the Moriarties think they don't need to continue with the Moriarty plan because Whiteley can bring the equality they wanted.
After Harvey Dent turns into the villain Two-face and murders people, then dies (but not by Batman's hands), Batman tooks the blame for his crimes, so Gotham can still have the hope what Dent gave to the people. The Lord of Crime similarly takes the blame for Whiteley's crime, so people can still believe in his equality movement.
This way, Batman becomes a villain in the eyes of the society - just like the Lord of Crime. And they both getting chased by the police at the end of the movie/arc led by their police agents, James Gordon and Patterson (in the anime) who both know the truth, but for the bigger good, they decided to play along.
ADAM WHITELEY / HARVEY DENT
Let's move onto Whiteley and Harvey Dent.
Both Whiteley and Harvey have blond hair, really idealistic personalities and a well-respected public position - Harvey is district attorney and Whiteley is a parliament member.
Harvey Dent fights for the same issue as Batman just like Whiteley fights for the same cause like the Lord of Crime, but they are with the means of the law. They also get threats for their activities.
Both of them called as White Knight by the people who view them as their heroes.
Whiteley uses his hunch (intuition regarding people) and puts his most trust into getting by with this, similarly Harvey Dent believes in his ability to make his chance and use a coin (even if it's a tricky one first) to make decisions. Both of these will lead to their ends.
Both of them survives an assassination in public, but Harvey Dent notices the gun in time, while Whiteley smells the smoke. They defeat their assassins by themselves.
For Harvey, his moral support is his girlfriend, Rachel while for Whiteley, his brother Sam. After they lose them, both of them fall apart and commit crimes.
They both end up using a not lawful method to achieve their goal - Harvey, despite being against Batman's ways, ends up siding with him and Whiteley tries to blackmail. Both of them fails.
Bruce Wayne supports Harvey Dent's activities with money and the Moriarties support Whiteley with information - and neither Harvey or Whiteley knows that they are supported by Batman or the Lord of Crime.
Both of them get betrayed by the police they put their trust into and lose their loved ones thanks to them what makes them commit crimes. (But since Harvey was more mentally unstable even before that, he actually starts murdering people while Whiteley only commits one murder).
In the anime, after Whiteley commits the murder, the blood on his face makes him similar to Harvey Dent after he became Two-face.
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Harvey and Whiteley died and remained as heroes in the people's eyes while Batman the Lord of Crime who lived and took the blame, became villains in the eye of the public.
MILVERTON / THE JOKER
The biggest deviations from the Dark Knight movie is between Milverton and Joker's character so I want to start with the two biggest differences: Milverton has a public persona outside his villain activities (but what he also use for those villain activities) while Joker doesn't. Joker also acts more impulsively and hates control while Milverton is a control freak. But beside these two, there are lot of similarities between them as well, even if sometimes with a twist.
The Milverton cover to the White Knight arc is really similar to one of the Dark Knight movie posters.
Milverton wearing a purple suit in the anime similarly to Joker (while the missing green from Joker's outfit is found at Ruskin). Both of them have overly messy hair.
They both use the media to scare/manipulate the public and kills those henchmen they have no more use of (but unlike Joker, Milverton has Ruskin as his constant partner in crime, also his bodyguards while the Joker is completely alone).
"Some men just wants to watch the world burn." Both Joker and Milverton's only goal is to cause as much suffer as they can. Neither of them can get negotiated with - Milverton doesn't blackmail for money just for torture and Joker even burns the money what he got as a payment.
Joker keeps telling to people how he ended up like that, how he got his scars, but the story is always different. We never learn the truth about his background. Milverton is the same - he gives some explanation why he is evil but that story exlains nothing and most likely a just a good-sounding excuse. We never learn how he turned into a villain either.
Joker wants to cause chaos what turns the civilians into monsters. Milverton's Jack the Ripper plan was the same and he also mentions that his media power is just to tempt people to sin.
After the mob is unable to catch Batman, Joker visits them and offers that he will deal with him, making them to hire him with showing his power by killing one of the mob leaders first. Similarly, Milverton kills the failed assassin to make the House of Lords to hire him, but in his case, to deal with Whiteley.
However, similarly to Joker's obsession with Batman's defeat, Milverton is also obsessed with defeating the Lord of Crime.
Joker looks down on the mob leaders like Milverton looks down on the House of Lords. Both thinks that they are the only worthy criminals because they don't do evil for personal gain.
Joker wants to make Batman to break his one rule (no killing) by murdering one of Batman's loved ones first. Milverton uses a similar method to tempt Whiteley to sin.
"I took Gotham's White Knight and brought him down to our level." Joker wanted and caused the good-hearted Harvey to fall to make him someone like him similarly to Milverton who also wanted and made Whiteley to sin.
****
It ended up to be quite a long post but that's just shows again how much the movie inspired the arc. I really love both and anyone who didn't watch The Dark Knight yet, I can only recommend!

Mtp the remains ending was beautiful
I'm really exited for part 2 of the story
It makes me so emotional that these 2 had another child after all the suffering and I liked how it is Shows and proved that Williams Actions weren't just spilling blood but also acually being abel to help the people who he helped.
I also liked how they insisted that they have to make another family picture with everbody in it this time.
Plus I'm sooo happy for my girl Helena I love her so much !!! And that she and her father are back togehter made me so happy!!!! But I wonder if she will show up again just like the other Helena.
I loved remains alot but I thought it was way to short but it makes sense, it was only meant to be a small series on a few events that happend but were Importend thats why I'm really exited for part 2 of mtp.
I hope we get to see more of the characters themselfs as individualls and there feelings, views and more specially the ones that didn't had alot of screentime or we don't know alot about.
