i understand there are serious issues with access to academia and there are major issues WITHIN academia wrt elitism/classism/etc, however some of you seem to take those issues as a full pass to completely disregard any benefits or usage of academia at all. like at a certain point it just starts to look like anti-intellectualism

#'its fine to learn absolutely nothing in your college classes because they're only teaching you elitist nonsense' WHY ARE YOU AT UNIVERSITY.#like...... first of all. your professors trying to teach you proper paper formatting are not the ones driving the elitism of peopl #disregarding non-traditional research. they are trying to give you the tools you need to succeed in the world we live in #second the assertion that you don't need to learn how to research or write a paper at all because formatting standards are elitist is like.#absolutely insane. can you just say with your chest you don't want to be here #like if you want chat gpt to do your research and write papers for you...... okay you don't want to learn to research or write papers.#can you say that instead of pretending youre Fighting The Man #im sorry you have chosen to live on the Research and Write Papers island when you don't want to do either of those things. why though
