i hate new york with its stupid little buildings and stupid little billboards and stupid little celebrities. i hate the boigers and the walkin 'ere. i hate seinfield. we as a society don’t need new york and we never have. i think people in new york should keep walking into each other forever and create a massive collision and then hopefully maybe new york explodes. maybe it doesn’t but it’s a risk i’m willing to take . i like the new york rats though they can stay :) and tomorrow we blow up disneyland together

Ok, face it.   It can be HOT at Disneyland!  As I write this, I hear Disneyland will hit triple digit weather.  Eeek!   It got me to thinking of what I would do if I was at Disneyland today, and how I would beat the heat.   What would I do if my kids were younger and what could those with families do.   So, in no particular order there some helpful tips to keep a bit cooler on those extra hot…

Disney doing away with smoking areas, and new stroller limitations..

Disney announced Thursday that it will be removing all smoking areas from theme parks and banning oversized strollers.

On May 1, Disney is going smoke-free. Smoking will be prohibited in all parks, but designated smoking areas will be available outside the entrances of the parks, and in designated areas at Disney Springs and at Disney resort hotels.

Special Treats for Mother’s Day at Disneyland Resort

Mother’s Day is around the corner on Sunday, May 10. Of course, taking mom to Disneyland Resort is a treat in itself, but if you want to make it a little sweeter, check out all our specialty offerings, available only on May 10.

At Carnation Cafe, look for a delicious (and healthful) Teriyaki Honey Grilled Salmon with Spinach Orzo. Bengal Barbecue has a Jambalaya Skewer, sure to spice up mom’s day. Over in Disney California Adventure park,Carthay Circle Restaurant will be serving up the “Carthay Benedict” for lunch. Their spin on this classic brunch dish is two poached eggs served on grilled petit filet medallions, country corn bread and ranchero black beans, with poblano chili hollandaise.

Blue Bayou Restaurant will be serving up a special just for the day: crayfish and herb-crusted roasted sea bass on top of angel hair pasta, tossed with vine-ripened tomato fennel sauce, asparagus spears and herb tomatoes. Over in Frontierland, try the lemon blueberry funnel cake from Stage Door Café.

A specialty red velvet cupcake will also be available at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Caféand Pacific Wharf Café. With white chocolate mousse frosting, white chocolate flower, heart and square garnish, and strawberry chocolate curls, it’s sure to make mom’s day extra special.

If you are looking for a more traditional way to celebrate mom, try the Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch available at Storyteller’s Café, Disney’s PCH Grill and Goofy’s Kitchen.
