Coquette Summer
Bucket List: ☀️🧺🌸
Some ideas for your summer 2023 bucket list. Coquette activities, trips, days out and things you can do with friends or alone. Write these ideas in your journal and make your own bucket list if you like! <3
Go on a picnic ~ You can do this with friends or on your own! Take an aesthetic picnic blanket and basket, pack fruit, sandwiches, salad, cookies, cupcakes (whatever you like!) and have a Coquette picnic. Dress cute for the occasion and make sure to take lots of pictures <3
Host a Tea Party ~ Invite friends over and decorate your dining table with a pretty tablecloth. Grab fancy cups and saucers (you can find these in antique stores, or better yet a whole tea set complete with a tea pot!) and have a tea party. Drink rose or jasmine tea, have scones, bread & jam, miniature sandwiches, cookies/biscuits, cake. You could even do it Marie Antoinette, high-tea inspired. Dress all regency and cute and make it the fanciest, coquette, tea party ever! <3
Beach day ~ Grab your heart shaped sunnies and have a beach day! Bring a pink towel with you, a large pretty sun-hat, and make sure you pack all the pretty-girl beach essentials. Tanning lotion, a romance novel, fresh fruit, a blanket to sit on (if you don’t have a deck chair) sun cream (spf) lipgloss, a hair brush, and your camera to snap some cute beach shots! Walk down the boardwalk, listen to Lana and grab an ice cream, wear pink flip flops and a cute pink and white gingham bikini <3
Berry picking ~ Wear the most dreamy, float cottage-core, princess dress, a large sun hat and take a wicker basket with you to go berry picking. You can book a slot online and go into a local field. Take pictures and pick ripe berries to take home with you, ready to use for baking later on in the week <3
Baking day ~ Wear a cute little apron, put Lana on your record player in the kitchen and have a baking day! Bake cherry pie, heart-shaped cookies, jam cookies, chocolate-chip cookies, scones, cupcakes, an actual cake… anything and everything! Take cute photos when you bake, it can be great to make memories with friends. Once you’ve baked all your sweet treats, package them up and choose some to give to friends and family, some for later occasions (picnics & tea-parties) and most importantly… some for you! <3
Go to a market ~ If you live in the country there are loads of cute farmers markets on in summer. Keep some money back with you, wear a long, flowing style skirt and a bow in your hair and take a cute tote-bag to keep everything you buy in. Look for small Coquette trinkets on some of the handmade stalls, buy fresh fruit and lemonade for lunch and have a slow, relaxing day at the market <3
Antique shopping ~ Go antique shipping. For your room or house. You can find so many beautiful, Coquette homeware items, clothes, trinkets, jewelry and much more in antique shops. Google the best ones in your area, set aside a day, and go <3
Try out new café’s in your area - Google fancy café’s or even café’s that do afternoon tea. You could go with friends or have a solo cafe trip. Bring a book with you if you go on your own, to read. Or a sketchbook to sketch the world around you. Try something new on the menu! <3
Coquette movie day ~ Plump out your bedroom or living room with pink pillows, fairy lights, candles and lavender room spray. Put on the comfiest pair of pajamas you have Grab snacks, popcorn, anything you baked earlier in the week, fresh fruit (anything you like!) And have a whole day of watching JUST coquette movies. Disney princess films, any period drama’s, any mystical and magical movies, romance movies. Movies that are super light-hearted and make you feel like the princess you are inside. This is really fun to do with friends too! <3
Jewelry making ~ Learn how to make prettt, coquette jewelry. I always see such cute jewelry online and want to know if I can make it myself. The kits might be a bit pricy to buy, but once you’ve built up a jewelry making collection your all set! Make some summer earrings, necklaces, and bracelets <3
Learn to Crochet ~ Something I have wanted to learn for ages! There are tons of tutorials on YouTube and you can pick up pretty colored yarn from the market. If you are really good you can crochet things for the summer like tank tops, bikini sets and headbands! <3
Start a summer journal ~ Or just start journaling in general. I’m making a summer journal full of scrapbook pages I can add all of my coquette summer pictures too when summer is over. Decorate it with coquette stickers and really make it your own. Get creative <3
Have a self care day ~ It’s not sunny everyday in Summer (usually) so set aside one of the cloudier or cooler days for a movie day, or self care day! Wake up early and have an everything shower, and take care of YOU! Do a face mask, manicure, pedicure, do every step to your skincare routine, wash and remake your bed, tidy your room. By the end of the day you will feel like a new person and trust me it’S WORTH IT! <3
Have a sleepover ~ You kinda need friends for this one. I’m sure everyone knows how to have one but do really coquette activities! Paint each others nails, style each others hair, Watch coquette movies, talk about boys. All the classic things you see in the girly movies that you feel never actually get done at sleepovers… do them! Order pizza, do face masks, bake things, and stay up as late as possible for a… midnight feast! <3
-HERE ARE SOME MORE IDEAS! <3 -
Re-decorate your room for summer <3
Go on vacation <3
Go bowling <3
Cute cinema trip (watch a romantic movie) <3
Go to a fancy restaurant <3
Make a summer scrapbook <3
Plan cute summer outfits for the weeks ahead <3
Try out new summer hairstyles <3
Go to a milkshake-bar/diner <3
Go roller-skating <3
Go to the arcade
Find some pretty summer walks in your area, take pictures of wildlife you spot etc <3
Go to a farm (farmers daughter vibes iykyk) <3
Go to the theatre and watch the ballet <3

Tokyo DisneySea's "Frozen Kingdom," part of the "Fantasy Springs" expansion, continues Disney's initiative of creating lands inspired by the Frozen franchise. Following the debut of "World of Frozen" at Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023, "Frozen Kingdom" opened in June 2024, featuring additional sub-lands based on Tangled and Peter Pan. The highlight of "Frozen Kingdom" is the "Frozen Ever After" attraction, known here as "Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey," which first premiered at Epcot in 2016 as a retheme of Norway's "Maelstrom" attraction. Beyond the additional themed dining and entertainment, this land features area-specific trash cans. These cans start with a black base and are adorned with a faux wood panel texture. Unlike the more extensive wood-like patterns found in Disneyland's Frontierland, Magic Kingdom's Storybook Circus, or the American Waterfront (also in Tokyo DisneySea), the texture here is less encompassing, focused only on the side panels. Front panel design features a striking gold crocus bulb, symbolizing the royal family of Arendelle from the Frozen films, set within a symmetrical floral motif with white, green, and purple accents. While the design is impressive, a full graphic wrap extending beyond the side panels could have further enhanced the thematic experience. Nevertheless, the attention to detail reflects the Tokyo parks' commitment to immersive land theming - especially given that there is also an overall "Fantasy Springs" can design, as well as designs for the other sub-lands. Well done. // Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo DisneySea, Fantasy Springs, Frozen Kingdom, 2024 [Source: maple_photogram. Used by Permission.]

Disney Television Animation X Walt Disney Imagineering Collaboration "San Fransokyo Square" Sets Opening Date, Confirms Big Hero 6 The Series Easter Eggs
After being promised at the recent D23 Expo, we are now getting an update from Walt Disney Imagineering, revealing that San Fransokyo Square is arriving at Disney California Adventure, August 31, 2023 as part of the 100 Years of Wonder at the Disneyland Resort.
The area will have some elements debuting in the month and a half as a lead-up.
During a PR Preview provided by Laughing Place, it was confirmed that the area will be featured with easter eggs from the various iterations of the Big Hero 6 story, including the Disney Television Animation's Big Hero 6 : The Series and Walt Disney Animation Studios Baymax! provided by both studios.
Starting in mid-July, you’ll be able to sample new San Fransokyo selections at Lucky Fortune Cookery, and the Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería will officially open. In the weeks following, additional dining options, unique shopping and more will be introduced as the transformation of this thriving seaside plaza continues through its official debut on August 31st.
When the transformation is completed, locations across the area – from the Cappuccino Cart outside the San Fransokyo Gate Bridge to The Bakery Tour – will be decked out in street art and colorful banners celebrating the Big Hero 6 team after their victory over Yokai.
The diverse array of flavorful fare in San Fransokyo Square will include current favorites and new creations inspired by Asian cuisine, as well as the Big Hero 6 themselves. Aunt Cass Café, the second bakery café operated by Hiro’s loving aunt, will serve dishes, soups in freshly-baked Boudin sourdough bread bowls and more inspired by Japanese cuisine. On the outside of this quick service restaurant, you’ll find a mural of Aunt Cass’ lucky pet cat, Mochi.
An old fishing net tannery across from the café is being converted to Rita’s Turbine Blenders, a giant drink dispenser offering delicious margaritas and icy beverages. This refreshment stand is owned and named after the repair technician who maintains the floating wind turbine, resembling a giant koi fish, that sits atop the structure.
Guests will also be able to meet with Baymax, who will talk for the very first time!
"San Fransokyo Square" is the lastest Disney Television Animation X Walt Disney Imagineering collaboration between "Mickey And Minnie's Runaway Railway" at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Toontown, "Aqua-Mouse" at Disney Wish from Disney Cruise Line, Passholder Magnets for Disney Springs and Disneyland with animations from "The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse", redesings from Paul Rudish and Asia Ellington for "Orange Bird","Dumbo" and "Figment", "DuckTales World Showcase Adventure" and providing redesings and decoring for the "Toontown" refreshment with "Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard","Donald's Boat",Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster,"The EngineEar Souvenirs Shop" featuring various Disney Afternoon characters and locations.

Wednesday 21st June 2023
As the record books will one day show, a milestone was passed with two nice sunny days in a row in Alaska. 7.30 dawned and the captain felt compelled to broadcast to the ship and anyone else who might be listening that we might consider getting up on deck fairly pronto to take a close inspection of the sort of scenery we've paid a lot of money to see. Well whilst I understand the sentiments, I do need a bit of time to fully endorse an idea like that in terms of action at that time of the morning. However, the thought persisted and sooner or later we were there on top deck in person to form our own opinion. Overnight we had travelled from Sitka and were now ploughing along at 6.7 knots along Stephen's Passage in the Juneau direction. Juneau is the capital city of Alaska and owns the title of the only US state capital that cannot be accessed by road. It can only be reached by air or sea. Originally the home of the Tlingit People, Juneau's claim to fame was that between 1882 and 1917 it operated the largest gold mine in the world. Perversely it was a Tlingit leader who led Joe Juneau to the gold deposits in 1880 and everything took off from there. Well at least for Joe Juneau it did. Not sure how well the Tlingit People did on the deal. The town today has something of a frontiers appearance which would be quite charming were it not for the suspicion that its Disney looks are there to beguile you into parting big time with your hard earned. The opportunity was there in spades for the good people of Juneau since today there were 4 cruise ships in town. Us, two Princess ships and our old friends on the Holland America. Jewellery shops abound which offer cruise ship passengers a free gift to pass their portals. The crab restaurant was able to offer crab claws at 70 dollars a pound! Whale watching tours being touted like banana sellers in the marketplace. Frankly, it was horrible and we were grateful that late afternoon was booked for a ship's excursion. We had booked to go to a dog sled and musher's camp. Now we did have doubts I confess. The possibility to score high on the naff spectrum was there in droves so it was with some trepidation that we boarded the bus to travel up the tree lined mountain. We pulled off the road and down a long gravel track and into a courtyard of open pine barns. The sound of huskies hit us immediately. This was a big operation. In all about 5 or 6 sleds were being prepared. Since the snow had gone they were wheeled platforms but each to be pulled by teams of 14 or 16 huskies. Each sled took 6 passengers plus musher and we all climbed aboard. On the command from the musher off went the dogs. 0-15 miles an hour or so instantly! Such traction! And these dogs love it. After a run around a circuit we were given a talk on dog sledding and specifically the annual race these guys get involved in; the Iditarod race which is 1000 miles through deep Alaskan snow during early March. The record time to complete is just over 8 days! After the talk we were presented with several husky puppies to admire, stroke, cuddle and thankfully hand back. The trip I think redeemed the visit to Juneau. An Asian theme to our dining experience followed. Thanks in part to Joe Juneau without whose original scam with the Tlingit people our enjoyment may not have been possible.
Tomorrow we have a day at sea to look forward to.

Top Travel Destinations in the South
In January 2023, Travel + Leisure and CNN Travel compiled their annual list of top travel destinations for the year. Unsurprisingly, a number of US cities made the list of top destinations. Of the chosen cities, six were in the American South.
Two of the cities named were in the Carolinas. The January 2023 issue of CNN Travel reported that one vacation destination well worth visiting was Charleston, South Carolina. Noteworthy destinations include the Spoleto Festival and the International African American Museum, expected to open in June 2023.
Held in March, the Spoleto Festival hosts theatrical, dance, opera, and musical acts at a range of venues. The International African American Museum offers visitors the chance to tour places where Africans arrived during the slave trade. Visitors can also tour exhibitions that describe the lives of enslaved people and their descendants.
Charleston also has something for those who enjoy dining out. Food lovers can hang out at the Charles Wine and Food Festival in March. Alternatively, visitors can experience the upscale establishment Magnolia's. For a less formal night out there is Bertha's Kitchen, where visitors can try its famous red rice with sausage, fried chicken, and lima beans.
Asheville, North Carolina, is the other city that made the top destination list in the Carolinas. Travel + Leisure reports the town offers a well-rounded vacation destination. Here, tourists can partake in year-round outdoor activities, explore the city's historic sites, and enjoy sophisticated dining spots.
For example, those who like white water rafting can visit Wrong Way River Lodge, where they can stay in A-frame cabins sitting along the French Broad River. Those who want to camp comfortably can stay at AutoCamp Asheville, which will open in mid-2023. The Glamping Collective is another newly opened establishment on a 160-acre site, where visitors can stay in glass cabins and domed pods.
Essential dining establishments include the S&W Market, a food hall offering a wide array of cuisines. French Broad Chocolates and Battery Park Book Exchange are old favorites, the former offering confections and the latter a chance to sip Champagne while enjoying a good read.
Just north of these two states, Alexandria, Virginia, provides tourists with easy access to vineyards in the northern part of the state and the chance to learn more about its history. The city was home to the country's largest domestic slave trade during much of the 1800s.
Sites such as the Freedom House Museum tell the narrative of Africans forced to work as enslaved people. Furthermore, the African American Heritage Trail, which opened in 2020, features 11 historical sites narrating 200 years of African American experiences, including stops at the Torpedo Factory, where Black people worked during WWII, and Waterfront Park, a point known for it slave trafficking. Jones Park is another significant landmark where visitors can learn about Benjamin Banneker, a notable mathematician, inventor, and free man who was instrumental in surveying the new U.S. capital.
Another American favorite, Nashville, Tennessee, is in the middle of a renaissance. The Conrad, 1 Hotel, Soho House, and redesigned Hermitage House are a few of the hotels fueling this rebirth. Regarding good places to dine, visitors can head to Fifth + Broadway Complex, where they can enjoy Southern staples such as fried chicken at Hattie B's or the Assembly Food Hall, which offers varied eating establishments and bars.
In terms of nightlife, travelers can get their fill of honky-tonk bars until the wee hours of the morning. They can also head to Justin Timberlake's Twelve Thirty Club or live events, such as CMA Fest (Country Music Association Festival), which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
For travelers looking to entertain the entire family, Central Florida offers various theme parks, such as Disney World, Epcot, and Universal City Walk, the latter offering adults a sampling of Orlando nightlife. Travelers to Disney this year can eat, breathe, and sleep Star Wars at its newly opened Star Wars: Galactic Star Cruiser, a two-night adventure. Another option is to travel southeast to Tampa and spend the day at Busch Gardens, an amusement park experience with a tropical theme.

Orlando, Florida is the Perfect Vacation Destination for Everyone
March 3, 2023
While Orlando, Florida is known as the world's theme park capital, it is far from a one-trick pony. This location receives approximately 233 days of sunshine per year. It is the most visited city in the United States for reasons other than roller coasters and thrilling theme park experiences. That's because it has something for everyone, young and old, adventurous and laid-back, nature and big city.
Come to Orlando, Florida, and you'll discover even more reasons why it's the ideal vacation destination!
Additional Attractions Away from Theme Parks You do want to visit Disney and Universal, after all. But keep an eye out for additional hidden jewels in Orlando's attraction scene. There is Gatorland, where you can get up close and personal with enormous gators and other animals, and ICON Park, which is home to the renowned Wheel, formerly known as the Orlando Eye. The rides and activities of Congo River Golf and Fun Spot America have a nostalgic boardwalk ambiance. And that's just the shortlist!
There's Always Something New Happening Theme parks often introduce brand-new activities, entertainment, and dining options for visitors to enjoy. It's the reason why locals eagerly anticipate stopping by on a day off and why visitors return year after year. New roller coasters are opening at Sea World and Universal Studios (Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal and Ice Breaker at SeaWorld). Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at Disney World lets you shrink to Remy's size in Gusteau's kitchen for a more kid-friendly new experience.
It Has a Unique Kind of Nature Florida has a distinctive ecology and is one of the most beautiful states. Even if you are unable to travel all the way to the south to view the Everglades, Orlando has an incredible selection of breathtaking natural sights that you shouldn't miss. When you're surrounded by theme parks, it can be difficult to remember that Florida was once home to the Timucuan Indians. There are locations like Wekiwa Springs State Park where you may swim in crystal-clear water that is always 72 degrees.
Want to observe the wild side of nature? Don't forget to take an airboat ride. It is the quickest method to go across Florida's swampy, natural scenery in order to view alligators, turtles, snakes, a variety of magnificent birds, and other elements that contribute to the state's uniqueness. You can go sightseeing on a leisurely boat ride with one of the tour companies and enjoy anything from gawking at the opulent real estate to a more natural setting.
You'll Satisfy All Your Wants Don't allow missing Epcot's Food and Wine Festival deter you from experiencing international cuisine in Orlando. You can find meals from different cultures right on International Drive, which is close to the theme parks. Here, you can eat anything you want, from Greek to Ethiopian cuisine, as well as simple family favorites and elegant fine dining. Orlando is undoubtedly a gourmet city!
Give In to Your Cultural Side Orlando is a great destination if you enjoy live music, Broadway plays, symphonies, ballets, and other performing arts. You can immerse yourself in culture in a variety of ways at Dr. Phippip's Center for the Performing Arts. There are several of museums as well, including the Orlando Museum of Art and Ripley's Believe It Or Not. You'll find so many fascinating new things there that you'll never get bored.
Get In The Game Sports are available in Orlando as well as the excellent arts and culture that Orlando has to offer. Catch an Orlando Magic basketball game, an Orlando City or Orlando Pride soccer match, or even a hockey game with the Orlando Solar Bears. Over 170 golf courses and the USTA national training site for tennis are available for anyone who would rather participate in the activity than only watch it.
Recharge Your Spirit Most people are unaware that Orlando is one of the best places to live an active lifestyle. Look beyond the theme parks for ways to recharge your mind, body, and soul, such as paddleboarding in nature, walking trails in the city at Lake Eola Park, biking the West Orange Trail, and luxury spa treatments at top resorts.
Dance and Groove to the Music of the Night Whether you want to go club hopping and dancing until dawn or prefer a more intimate evening in a cozy wine bar, Orlando has your nightlife needs covered. Splitsville, a luxury bowling alley, is available at family-friendly locations such as Disney Springs. On International, ICEBAR is a great place to grab a drink and escape the notorious Florida heat. Furthermore, there are numerous additional options all around International Drive, the Mills 50 District, CityWalk at Universal, and Disney Springs, making it simple to find nightlife near your Orlando hotel.
Excellent Value Orlando truly satisfies all of your senses, with so much to see, do, taste, and feel. Whether you're traveling alone or with the entire family, from kids to grandkids, it's easier than ever to plan an epic vacation here. The best part is that package pricing from hotels, theme parks, area attractions, and restaurants offers excellent value. There are also free activities such as visiting nature parks and outdoor markets, walking around Lake Eola, and even visiting Disney Springs, which has free parking.
When you visit Orlando, you will have so much to do that you will have to return the following time you visit. Or, even better, stay even longer.

Disney wants wrongful death suit thrown out because widower bought an Epcot ticket and had Disney+
By Jordan Valinsky, CNN
3 minute read
Updated 8:09 PM EDT, Wed August 14, 2024
"A man suing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts for the wrongful death of his wife is facing a new legal hurdle: Disney is trying to get it thrown out of court and sent to arbitration — because he signed up for Disney+ years earlier.
Court documents show that the company is trying to get the $50,000 lawsuit tossed because the plaintiff, Jeffrey Piccolo, signed up for a one-month trial of the streaming service Disney+ in 2019, which requires trial users to arbitrate all disputes with the company.
Company lawyers also claim that because Piccolo used the Walt Disney Parks’ website to buy Epcot Center tickets, Disney is shielded from a lawsuit from the estate of Piccolo’s deceased wife, Kanokporn Tangsuan, who died of a reaction to severe food allergies.
In a legal filing responding to Disney’s claims, Piccolo’s lawyer Brian Denney called Disney’s argument “preposterous” and said that the notion that signing up for a Disney+ free trial would bar a customer’s right to a jury trial “with any Disney affiliate or subsidiary, is so outrageously unreasonable and unfair as to shock the judicial conscience.”
Walt Disney Parks and Resort is “explicitly seeking to bar its 150 million Disney+ subscribers from ever prosecuting a wrongful death case against it in front of a jury even if the case facts have nothing to with Disney+,” Denney wrote in court papers as a response.
Piccolo is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 pursuant to Florida’s Wrongful Death Act, as well as damages for mental pain and suffering, loss of companionship and protection, loss of income and medical and funeral expenses.
“We are deeply saddened by the family’s loss and understand their grief,” a Disney spokesperson said Wednesday. “Given that this restaurant is neither owned nor operated by Disney, we are merely defending ourselves against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant.”
In October 2023, Kanokporn Tangsuan, her husband Jeffrey Piccolo and Piccolo’s mother dined at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney Springs, which is part of the Walt Disney World resort in Florida. They chose to eat at the restaurant, the lawsuit states, because they believed it would have proper safeguards against serving dairy and nuts to Tangsuan due to her allergies.
Signing up for Disney+ should shield the company from court trials, Disney said.

The waiter guaranteed the couple that certain foods could be made allergen-free, which the two confirmed “several more times,” according to the lawsuit. She also ordered a vegan fritter, scallops, onion rings and a vegan shepherd’s pie.
Although some of the food delivered lacked allergen-free flags, the waiter again assured them it was allergen free, but after dinner, Tangsuan, 42, went shopping in the Disney Springs area and began “suffering from a severe acute allergic reaction,” according to the lawsuit.
Despite self-administering an Epi-Pen, Tangsuan died from “anaphylaxis due to elevated levels of dairy and nut in her system,” the lawsuit said, attributing the information to a medical examiner’s investigation."
— CNN’s Ramishah Maruf and Maria Sole Campinoti contributed to this report.

Tiana's Palace Disneyland Review
Step into a world of Southern charm and mouthwatering Creole cuisine at Tiana's Palace, the newest dining sensation at Disneyland Park. This quick-service restaurant, inspired by Disney's beloved animated film "The Princess and the Frog," has quickly become a must-visit destination for park-goers seeking a taste of New Orleans right in the heart of Anaheim!
The Story Behind Disneyland Tiana's Palace
Tiana's Palace opened its doors on September 7, 2023, replacing the former French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square. This transformation was part of a larger initiative to bring more of Princess Tiana's story to life within the park, coinciding with the upcoming Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction set to debut in 2024 or early 2025. The restaurant's concept draws inspiration directly from Tiana's dream in "The Princess and the Frog." Disney Imagineers and culinary experts went to great lengths to ensure authenticity, even traveling to New Orleans to sample local cuisine and meet with renowned chefs. This dedication to detail is evident in every aspect of Tiana's Palace, from its charming decor to its flavor-packed menu.
Location and Atmosphere
Situated in the heart of New Orleans Square, Tiana's Palace offers a seamless blend of Disney magic and genuine New Orleans charm. The exterior features the iconic riverboat smokestacks from the movie, while the interior boasts a color palette of warm yellows and greens, adorned with Mardi Gras-inspired decorations! As you approach the restaurant, you'll be greeted by the sounds of jazz music, specially curated by Walt Disney Imagineering to create an authentic and energetic atmosphere. The outdoor seating area, now fully shaded, provides a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal while taking in the sights and sounds of New Orleans Square!

my sandwich story as shared originally in my friends' group chat among those who were there in summer 2023:
last year at shedd aquarium I was really hoping I could get some staples like between portillos or like the Italian beef since I recently watched the bear and I had to have an Italian beef
I know a lot of people are reluctant for like food at attractions since it's a lot more expensive but I'm a complete weirdo trained to be into attraction and airport food. I think it's Disney adult bleed from my sister and my youth going to places like Epcot and enthusiastically wining and dining there then later becoming capable of feeding myself in places like that
but I won't settle. so fortunately running around the food court I was relieved there was a place with a big ass Chicago flag type logo that had Italian beefs.
I think something that stuff like the cheese steaks and other stuff lack is the juice so when they got the ladle in the pot with that big rich bunch of meat. stuff like that makes me feel like a beast then having it soak into the roll and then also being so hungry and so tired and so far from home BUT with all my friends felt really good.
had a view by the window of the water and the city
feeling whole, as like part of our group, all the people in shedd, all the people in the city, all the people along lake michigan, all the people in the Midwest, all the people in the country, all the people of the world
that view out of the window being an experience not unlike Pale Blue Dot while also being a part of it
anyway sandwiches
this is so real and never leaves me

Mr Piccolo alleges that the restaurant at Disney World - in Orlando, Florida - that he and his wife dined at did not take enough care over her severe allergies to dairy and nuts, despite being repeatedly told about them. Dr Kanokporn Tangsuan died in hospital later that day, 5 October 2023. According to the legal filing, her death was confirmed by a medical examiner "as a result of anaphylaxis due to elevated levels of dairy and nut in her system." He is suing Disney for a sum in excess of $50,000 plus legal costs. Disney wants the case in the courts to be halted, and for the dispute to be resolved out of court, in a process called arbitration. The entertainment company argues it cannot be taken to court because, in its terms of use, it says users agree to settle any disputes with the company via arbitration. It says Mr Piccolo agreed to these terms of use when he signed up to a one month free trial of its streaming service, Disney+, in 2019. Disney adds that Mr Piccolo accepted these terms again when using his Disney account to buy tickets for the theme park in 2023.
Disney would rather settle it through arbitration to avoid publicity. I believe what they deserve is a proper Streisand Effect 😏
#disney#disney+#always been an incredibly cynical and douchey company#so this comes as no surprise really#fuck them
