The Russian Tiara in 'Anastasia'

The tiara that Maria Feodorovna gives to Anastasia actually existed and was called the “Russian tiara”.

According to legend, the “Russian tiara” was part of the jewelry collection that Maria Feodorovna (left) did not want to give to the new empress Alexandra Feodorovna (right), who was Anastasia's mother, despite tradition.

This, however, did not prevent Alexandra Feodorovna from having a “Russian tiara” specially made for her.

The fate of the two tiaras belonging to the last empresses of the Russian Empire is unknown.
