Expose is much better than I thought it'd be!
(Spoilers below)
I was kinda concerned at how simple it started out in part 1, but it picked up really fast, and now it's lowkey one of my favorites! I'm getting a lot of Estero Harbor vibes from it, and I think that's what the devs are trying to do with Tangton.
But unlike Estero Harbor.....the story's actually a lot better and interesting.
Part 3 is hands-down the best part, and we got some....VERY yummy Ikki moments 🍽 JUST LOOK AT THESE! He's so pookie, but he's a sad pookie....wants to avenge his dad so bad.
And Su Jue jumpscared me, but it was a much appreciated jumpscare
It was so nice to see everybody from Farewell Fireworks again! Really makes the espers in Tangton feel like one family trying to work together against all the esper-racism conspiracies going on
So, here's my theory as to what's gonna happen next:
-Fu Shi is coming next. Leaks point to it, and the devs pretty much confirmed it. He's gonna be real important player in the story. Idk what he's gonna do exactly, but I have a gut feeling it's gonna be huge.
-Floating hottie with the spheres is most likely gonna be the final piece of the puzzle here. Again, idk what he's gonna do, but I hope it's important. All I hope is that they actually use him as a character (I don't want my bbg to be useless in the lore!)
-This whole "Tangton-being-the-next-Estero-Harbor" will definitely end when celestial anomaly ends for 2 reasons:
1-the estero harbor stuff ended at event story #4 (Farrah's)
2-it'll be 2nd anniversary time, and the CN server will no longer be newbies in terms of how long they've been in Dislyte
I'm really excited for the upcoming stories, along with pulling for characters. I'm currently saving for floating sphere babygirl, but if I get lucky and get enough wishstones in time, I MIGHT splurge for Fu Shi too...
oh and these are my inferno record savings watch me NOT get a legendary from them, like what happened with my flow records💀
Anyways, sorry for this giant essay of a post. This is probably the longest post I've ever made, but tbh....that's what happens when you're excited about your interest. You type, and then realize you've written a book.
Imma end it here. Check my account on March 19th for Jiang Man's and mine's bday art!

Dislyte OCs!? Old AND New???
You may remember Fable from an old post of mine where I they had almost the same design, but now that I’m 2 years older and have more of an understanding of what Dislyte is like, I kinda got carried away hehe-
Short descriptions under the cut!
Fable is still a bounty hunter of rogue Espers, meaning they get into many a conflict with powerful entities. They sympathize with a lot of them, but ultimately must stop them.
Shinju is a member of the Twilight Order, less direct than Yamato or Moroyama, and not as separated as Yuuhime, and more of a trusted independent. Being apart of a dangerous society, they are never spared of a hostile enemy.
Kaviir was previously untainted by the Miracles, a researcher studying how it could shift people to Espers, and what relationship they have with Miramon. Unfortunately, he tapped in too deep and explored where he shouldn’t… something in him changed alongside his exterior.
Santiago was more thrilled to become an Esper than most people. His physical strength was multiplied, he gained an affinity to fire, and his wrestling abilities became immortalized by Xiuhtecuhtli. He uses them for entertainment, now, while having to fight for real sometimes.
Makena left her home after being exposed to the Miracles, at fear of becoming a monster to them, and instead settling down somewhere else. At first wanting to hide, once she discovered the healing affinity she was granted now, she decided to become a wandering medic for Espers and Humans alike.
Dandapani is a respected Esper despite being a self proclaimed protector of Humans. Unfortunately, with this title, he’s considered a traitor to Espers, especially since he has to take some of them out to help protect those who can’t protect themselves. His ego, though, has left Humans to also distance from him.
Lucia is one of three sisters who became Espers, she herself being gifted with premonitions of death and defeat. More of a trickster than anything, she loves to just observe as bad things happen, all while a little too excited about them.
Adonis was a product of war and conflict, truly never having down time, especially when he became an Esper. He’s been with the Esper Union for a long time now, and despite his combat focused drive, he does long for affection and the idea of settling down.
Kekoa is your standard guardian Esper, helping people at sea but also the Union, with food, good vibes, and muscle! He’s always been a… not too bright guy, but at least now he’s focused on helping!
Yuriko became an Esper with her sister after a Miracle ascended near their home town, losing her humanity in the process as well as her sister. She’s extremely nice and a valuable asset to have, but she’s so focused on saving her sister that sometimes she can lose track.
I’ve made so many Espers now and I’m having so much fun!! I have ideas for more but I’m trying to slow down now~

Hi I have a question. I want to make new OCs, and I have a couple that are black men and I’ve been thinking of what hairstyles to give them. I often hear how in video games they have the same hairstyles: fade, Afro and the killmonger hair. Where I live, I don’t see many black people, and when I do, they usually have fades or just short hair. I’ve been doing research, though I get confused about curls, twists, dreads and locs, and they all look similar to me, though maybe it’s because I am not exposed to it much. I would like to know the differences between them and your opinion on cool black men hairstyles that aren’t stereotypical. 🙏
imma be real i don't have many male ocs (literally i have only drawn for one and he's not black) cause they're hair is so hard to draw, HOWEVER! i save a lot of stuff on pintrest to refer to if i ever build the courage
(bagels_donuts on twitter made these) this tweet should help you at least start somewhere, these are freaking amazing
these too (made by artxroyalty on twitter)
this is the pintrest link to the pic i found off pintrest, perhaps you could find an even wider variety based off of what pintrest shows you when you scroll!
pintrest is your best friend, also check out dislyte and fortnite black characters too for references, they have some BOMB looking characters. hope this helped!
btw, the hairstyles you listed don't really look the same, it could be the way you draw them because there's soo many ways to draw those alone, unique or not <3

Well since my last post on the Dislyte sexualization discourse, some ignorant jackass insists on arguing with bad faith assumptions. So I did a little research into because I was curious and who knows. Maybe I was wrong about my own understanding.
First, they liken being horny on main to "sexual harassment," which it's not. Yes, it makes some people uncomfortable, but it's not harassment to witness a sexual conversation that has nothing to do with you outside of a workplace. People are allowed to talk about their sexual fantasies openly and in public areas outside of work. There is nothing inherently wrong with that. If you're out with your friends and you want to talk horny topics among yourselves, that's not harassment even if others overhear.
Second, in online spaces, everyone is responsible for their own experience. So crying "sexual harassment" and "what about the children????" is not only disingenuous, it echoes the same conservative talking points being wielded in places like Florida and Texas. It's gross, insidious, and ultimately not about the children, but about that person not wanting to take proper responsibility and curate their online experience so they can be more comfortable. Nobody is forcing them to continue exposing themselves to the unwanted content, and the main difference between seeing horny on main content and "sexual harassment" is that online you have the power to immediately cut it out of your perception, full stop.
Also, speaking of "what about the children," you don't get to lump "young adults" into that. Either something is appropriate for adults or it's not. Young adults are not children. They're adults. Don't pull people in their late teens/early 20s into this mess.
The other thing that was thrown at me was a "common sense" assumption that the majority of gacha players are "extremely likely" to be teens. Source: trust me, bro, it's "common sense" because nobody with a full time job and money is going to be playing a gacha. Which...okay, that's a take.
Anyway, here's where I was really curious and did some quick research. This took all of like 5 minutes to compile. This post is already getting long so I'll put the rest under a cut but the TL;DR is the average gacha player is most likely in their 30s.
According to Google Play demographics, the average age of mobile game players is 36.
According to this 2023 study, here is the breakdown by generation:
79% of Gen Z
Millennials are second with an unstated percentage
68% of Gen X We know that somewhere between 68% and 79% of millennials play mobile games, so for the sake of this discussion, we'll assume 74% of millennials play mobile games, putting them squarely in the middle between Gen X and Gen Z.
Estimated population by generation:
Gen Z: 2.56 billion (69.58 million in the US)
Millennials: 1.8 billion (72.24 million in the US)
Gen X: 1.025 billion (65.37 in the US)
Estimated number of players by generation:
Gen Z: 2.02 billion (55 million in the US)
Millennials: 1.33 billion (53 million in the US)
Gen X: 697 million (44 million in the US)
If you look at the totals worldwide, Gen Z only makes up about half of the estimated number of players. And currently about half of Gen Z is adults, so we can assume about 1 billion of this number is not children. That means of the about 4 billion number of players, about 75% of them are adults. In the US alone, millennials and Gen X make up nearly double the number of Gen Z players, and that's even before we cut the Gen Z number in half to account for adult Gen Z-ers.
So yeah, the average gacha player is not "extremely likely" to be a child. The average gacha player is, in fact, far more likely to be an adult.
But hey, I'm sure the "for the children!!!!" people are gonna find some way to explain why this is wrong and/or you still shouldn't be horny on main because they're running out of pearls to clutch with their weird conservative talking points. So whatever.
Bottom line is if you are seeing something you don't like, just fucking block it or mute it or unfollow it or whatever. Grow up.

Tagged by @nullians , thank you so much!
Rules: Answer the questions and tag 9 people you want to know better/catch up with! (I’m sorry, it’s probably not gonna be 9 for me, I don’t know that many people yet xD)
Last Song:
-Bad Blood by Creature Feature. I’ve known this song for years, but it only came up to me again recently, probably because I found Five Thousand Foot Krutch again and I always listen to both bands simultaniously for whatever reason... Also I’m currently trying to figure out my storyboard for my first ever animated video, and One Foot in the Grave by Creature Feature is gonna be the song for it, that’s a reason I got back to it. I’m not expecting much though xD
Three Ships:
-Hmmm... Alright, first, I wanna add, that I really don’t like it if I have to explain why I ship certain characters with each other, because for me shipping is just part of the whole fictional thing and I don’t like it if people come after others for liking certain ships. So... yeah, that being said, I’m just gonna explain a little xD
First ship is Marlon x Brody. I personally don’t see it after their secret is exposed, and as I played it out in my own story for Marlon, I don’t think they would go further than just having a crush on each other. But I like their dynamic as a leader pair, you know, her being his second-in-command, even though she has her anxiety issues (and we all know what happens when he has his, ehem, little outbursts, so...) and in general, I can see them as partners, working together, while slightly blushing sometimes, you know what I’m saying? XD
Second ship is gonna be Arthur Morgan and Mary. First of all, yes, they were a pair at some point, but... I still wanted to list them, I like their story together and how they like to tease the other. And to be honest, their relationship reflects perfectly what I have with someone, so... yeah, only natural I think that relationship is well written and pretty accurate, eh?
Last but not least, Li Ling and Tang Xuan. I gotta admit, I haven’t played Dislyte for a longer time now, I dunno, it’s one of these games, that I get bored of from time to time, then I get really hyped again and the cycle continues, BUT I will never get rid of it, for that I love it too much. Back to the ship, Li Ling is my favorite by a length and I like how him and Tang Xuan are very casual with each other. You know, I really love it when relationships are portrayed as the normalest thing ever and it’s not a big deal, because yes, to the people involved it may be, but not to everybody else. I love it when they do normal stuff together, like best friends would do, because that’s what a relationship is all about, right? Being able to let loose with the other person, be yourself and act as normal as ever, just with very strong feelings for the person next to you xD And I can totally see that with these two.
Currently Reading:
-Sherlock Holmes. I have a list of some older books I want to read to get more writing skills. If that works, well, we’ll see, but it’s fun, especially since Sherlock Holmes books are really interesting and funny in some weird way. I’m reading them in german though, not sure if my english is good enough to read the originals.
Last Movie:
-Last one I watched in cinema was Avatar 2 and I gotta admit... the visuals were astonishingly great, there’s no doubt. But... three hours is too much and I don’t like it if too many characters are involved. I like character depth, maybe that’s why I can’t focus on Dislyte as well, too many characters being developed too fast, my brain can’t compete...
And last one I watched at home was Top Gun: Maverick, with I thought was a wayyy better experience. Shorter, good character development, nice story, good addition to the first movie... and I like jets xD
Craving:
-Time.... I need time, that’s all. I want to continue writing the next chapter for my Marlon story, and I’m currently on it, but my goal for writing at least 10.000 words per chapter is a big one xD So far it worked though...
Thanks for tagging me, again, really enjoyed answering these questions!

Lilith and the Meatriders
Dislyte put out the newest patch with changes to Desolate Lane and a pain of a grind esper and the meat riding for Lilith is insane. Let’s discuss.
Everett is permanent. What’s the problem with grinding for him?
You’re right. He is permanent. Lovely observation. The issue is not about how time accessible he is. No one is thinking he is limited time. People are not rushing him because time sensitivity. The problem is how many resources he consumes to get that need to be obtained consistently if you want to get him in a reasonable amount of time.
Keep in mind that on top of Everett, there’s always events going on in Dislyte. ESPERADO requires grinding as well to get the LIMITED TIME rewards. So, that means you have to take energy and time away from the Everett grind to secure those rewards that do expire. Everett already takes a lot of resources and time to get, and having to deal with these other grinding events just prolongs the esper people are grinding for.
Are the gears turning now? Having to prioritise something else solely because it is time sensitive and not because you care about it more is frustrating. Especially when every second spent not grinding for the thing you do care about is a second longer you are away from your actual goal.
Just get good.
I don’t even entertain stupid shit like this because you said three words to invalidate players who want to play and enjoy the game all for the sake of meat riding.
Desolate Lands is not a mode you can “get gud” at. It is a mode that is only accessible after investing energy and time to previous modes.
Desolate Land Crystals require you to get a minimum score. That means that even if you are good at strategising, if the rng in gacha doesn’t favour you, you may not have access to A+ scores. “Get gud” can only go so far until you are gated by the game itself.
And this goes back to the insane amount of time it takes to grind. More than it’s justifiable. Getting the minimum score makes it last longer. Why people who get EX+ are comparing their gains with anyone under is basically “I did it ez, so why can’t you?” This is why I don’t engage with this type of response usually. It’s just arguing with people while defending shitty practices.
It’s a long-term goal. You’ll get him eventually.
No, babes. No, stinks. Dislyte is constantly upsetting the community, and giving different groups of players different reasons to quit. Making an esper take so long to grind for means that the player will be exposed to more instances of disappointment on top of the constant disappointment that is grinding for him. This shit will start stacking up, and this shit will have a booster seat as long as it takes to get Everett. You are actually supporting Dislyte’s downfall. Not to mention, more things will continue to be added until it becomes overwhelming how much you have to grind and how little time and energy there is.
Okay, but why do you want to rush him?
Simple question, simple answer. He is pretty.
And I’m sure that doesn’t matter to some of you. That’s great. We all play games for different reasons, but when a company is constantly attacking a certain group of player, you’re enabling their shitty behaviours.
The aesthetic is a core selling point of the game. It’s naturally going to attract players who play games for aesthetic reasons. We saw that they’re going to make skins stupidly expensive. Okay, fine. We can survive with that. We saw that they drop pretty characters back to back and are often gated through harsh rng. Okay… Fine. You need to make money somehow. We saw you were releasing a pretty F2P Shimmer legendary. But in order to get him within a reasonable amount of time, you’re going to have to start considering paying. The esper being marketed as 100% F2P is locked to a game mode that requires either copious amounts of grinding, or paywalls. Are the gears turning?
So you want him to be free.
So you have the thought process of a literal 5yo. No one that is developed in the head leaps from “this esper is too much grind” to “i want to open the game and find a L60R6 Everett in my inventory”.
No one is saying they want Everett to be free; no one is saying they want Everett to be accessible in the early game.
What people are saying is that IT TAKES A LOT TO GET HIM MORE THAN WHAT PEOPLE CAN NORMALLY JUSTIFY. I can understand if it could take a month of on and off grinding, maybe 2 weeks if you are literally glued to the screen for 12 hours straight. But to the average player, Everett will take months. And before the glizzy goblins say anything along the lines of “well, not everything has to be accessible to everyone”. He is a 100% F2P esper, and their whole marketing for him has been that. What. Is. Not. Clicking?
100% F2P instances are already rare in Dislyte. And as the game continues to add new Epic and Legendary espers, the few batch of Rares and accessible Epic/Legendary espers we have are going to be quickly outclassed. Some of you are so caught up on garbling glizzy that you’re not even thinking about the health of the game. If this is how they release their first F2P Shimmer, what hope is there to have when it comes to wanting to be treated with respect by this studio?
Again, a lot of people play for the aesthetic. That’s one of its core marketing points. On top of that, constantly, they release modes that are fun but hard gated by intense investment into parts of the game people don’t care for. I love Desolate Lands, Sentinel Hunt, some arena modes, but a lot of these modes are very difficult to achieve decent scores in without having to invest into espers and relics that I have no real interest in. But fine, I’ll do it. But I’m a minority. A lot of people will sooner just quit and find a better game. Why? Because when a game’s core selling point is the aesthetic, and then you force players to have to invest into things they don’t exactly care for, it makes the experience very unpleasant.
Players are not asking to make every esper viable in every mode. Players are asking to be able to play most modes and not feel forced to have to waste resources on espers that have no other value to them. No one is asking for free Top 10% in club modes. But it’s really hard to want to play these modes that requires you to move countless relics around, that require you to build espers you don’t care for just to reach a minimum score. These are little grievances that stack up for players over time. And with new modes already planned, and entirely new metas, and set ups, and relic changes, it becomes overwhelming.
I don’t want to stop playing this game with some of the most immaculate music, character design, and creative community; but the devs themselves make it really hard to keep justifying these changes to the game. This experience is made worse when players try to communicate these grievances—that may not be deal breakers on their own, but stack up—and we are met by sweats who have no friends and hobbies outside of gachas and tone deaf individuals pushing against players who want to keep playing, but constantly feel like the game is trying to push them away.
I know a lot of you feel comfortable with the “F2P players don’t uphold gachas”, but babycakes, whales don’t exactly stick around either if all they have access to is the same 100 people. Games need a healthy balance of F2P and whales to keep growing. As far as I know, this game is losing or stagnant in player count. As new ones join, a lot are leaving. That is not a healthy thing for a mobile game. Having a player count like this as new games come out with better rewards systems, better design, better anything leaves Dislyte vulnerable to losing a lot of players. There’s only so much damage control Zox can do before players just get tired of these constant disappointments.
Why are y’all obsessed with arguing with people who want to keep the game alive?
