As far as I can tell, the cosmology of Disgaea is: one Heaven (Celestia) for the whole universe, separate Hells (Netherworlds) for every inhabited planet. And Laharl is Overlord of Earth's Netherworld.

More specifically, Earth several hundred years in the future.

Which leads me to wonder, what's Mongo's Netherworld like? And is there a Prinny Ming somewhere, still serving his time, plotting sardine-laced revenge on the descendant of his old nemesis?
