Disco Inferno
Alastor x Hippie! Reader
Summary: Your carefree soul learns how to navigate your friendships and a budding relationship in the Hazbin Hotel
Trigger Warnings: Drug use, mature themes, violence, party atmosphere, alcohol consumption
Word Count: 1699
Maybe the years of drugs, protests, and sexual acts were what did you in. After all, good people don't end up in Hell you suppose. You lived as a relative nobody in Hell, except for the people you raised hell with.
Your best friend Cherri Bomb, adorned with fiery hair and exuding leather-clad confidence, sported a rebellious flair. Her devil-may-care attitude made her the perfect partner in crime.
You were casually talking it up with some big shot when out of nowhere a pink bomb landed on the table in front of you. Quickly, you jumped out of the way, narrowly avoiding the blast. However, the shrapnel struck the Overlord you were engaged in conversation with, sealing Cherri Bomb's claim to his territory.
In addition, you encountered Angel Dust, revealing a shared passion for drugs that strengthened your connection. While you may not have the same drug of choice it doesn't mean getting high together was any less fun.
You navigated a niche between Angel's popularity and Cherri's intimidation, finding your place as their intriguing and adventurous companion.
This is how you ended up being the Happy Hotel's second patron.
~~~
Although smoking became off limits, in the hotel at least, you were still swaying around to music and dancing through the day.
You almost felt better when you weren't smoking but that wasn't something you wanted to admit to Angel or especially Charlie. You knew there would be a party thrown as soon as you said it.
The now Hazbin Hotel, was home to quite a few demons, not all there to rehabilitate but it made it feel more at home. The more people around the more you felt reminded of your friends topside, now they were almost certainly dead or "double dead" as Angel might say.
Charlie and Vaggie were stern but friendly towards you. They told you to stay sober if you wanted to stay at the hotel and you happily obliged. Although sometimes you still snuck a blunt, why did they have to know?
Husk was always able to talk you down and put a drink in your hand. He heard your troubles with Cherri and how she didn't want to talk to you anymore, and heard you talk about your worries with Angel. You and Husker, bonded by shared experiences and unspoken understanding, found solace in each other's company. Often, you sat around doing absolutely nothing, reveling in the comfort of a companion who needed no words.
Sir Pentious, Hazbin's third rehabilitant, was just the sweetest. Again you two often sat around talking, usually about his inventions and sometimes about Cherri. You gave him subtle hints about what she liked and how to win her over, but usually he got too nervous to act on these. This never stopped you from trying to help, and frequently having sleep-over with him and his sweet Egg Bois.
Alastor's enigmatic presence left you with a lingering curiosity, a puzzle you were determined to put together with every passing day. However, this didn't stop you from trying to become his friend. You listened to his radio show to try to find out things he liked and often accompanied him to Cannibal Town, not for its namesake but for amazing chats with Rosie. Alastor was the one piece of the puzzle you just couldn't figure out, and the more time you spent with him the more about him you wanted to know.
~~~
So when Charlie and Vaggie went on their trip to Heaven, you decided to invite Alastor out. You decided not to call it a date, but hoped the message would get across well to him. You and Alastor left shortly after everyone else when to a club nearby.
Wanting to bridge the gap between your worlds, you chose to bring him to your favorite disco joint, even if the music wasn't his usual taste. If you wanted him to like you, he did have to get to know you.
Studio 666, with pulsating neon lights casting an otherworldly glow and a bass so deep it reverberated through your very soul, stood as Hell's most renowned disco club. Though Alastor's smile didn't fade, a twitch betrayed his discomfort amidst the crowd and physical contact. The music was nothing like what he was used to and so far away from his favorite dance tunes.
Alastor was well aware of hippie culture as he had talked with many people who died and how they lived on his radio show. He had been to a club like this once with Rosie and he did not think that he would ever be back to one. Let alone with a beautiful dame like yourself.
He stood frozen for a moment and felt very out of place in his coat and slacks. You were dressed impeccably for the occasion wearing a halter top jumpsuit adorned with red rhinestones and sparkles. Platform boots make you just a hair taller than your usual height.
You had decided to match Alastor on your night out, trying to make others notice you were with him and maybe have them be more friendly. Well as friendly as some sinners were willing to be.
Gently you took his hand and led him to the bar.
"Yo, Y/n, where have you been? The Studio's been missin' you"
"Oh you know Flower, I've just been truckin' on"
"Wearin' some groovy threads"
"When am I not, ya goof"
Alastor noticed you fall into a rhythm with the bartender, Flower you called them. Again he felt sorely out of place, even though before this, you had always made him feel right at home.
"Anyways, what can I get you and Casanova here?"
A small chuckle escaped your lips.
"You know me," you grinned, "a tequila sunrise, and Alastor will have a-"
"I'll have a Greyhound"
With that, a playful grin graced your lips as you looked up at him. For you, he would try to embrace this night of loud disco festivities with a drink he normally would never try.
Once Flower had served the two drinks Alastor saw them whisper in your ear. Despite the attempt at secrecy he heard exactly what was said.
"I got primo grass and mushrooms if you're interested, foxy"
Alastor saw the glance you gave him and quirked his eyebrow. You moved away from Flower.
"Nah, we best keep on steppin', peace, Flower"
With a smile and a nod of their head they went to serve the next customer.
~~~
You were able to find a table a little ways away from the ruckus to talk with Alastor about anything and everything that came to your mind. The hotel and its apparent success, things Alastor spoke about on his last radio broadcast, and your favorite color.
However, the smooth flow of the night was interrupted when a small group of demons approached the table where you were chatting.
"My my, here's a brick house I'd never I'd see again"
Your smile instantly turned into a scowl. You turned toward the short stubby man who seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
"Psych, the bug I thought I squished a long time ago", you practically snarled at them.
"Hold up, Dollface, no need to freak out. We just wanna talk. Why don't you take a chill pill and come boogie with us. We sure do have lots to catch up on"
Alastor appeared between the two of them before Psych could make a move to grab her.
"Why gentlemen, that is no way to treat a lady, now scurry along, u̵̪̓n̶̲̋l̶̑͜e̷͉̊s̶̜̽š̸̙ ̷̞̑y̵̪̅ơ̵̞ṳ̴̕ ̶̪̓n̴͇͂o̷̮͑ ̵͎̆l̵̫͒o̶̥̕ň̵̗g̸̠̓e̶͍̊r̴͓̉ ̵̹̋ẅ̴̳ḭ̵͠s̸̮̅h̶̛̩ ̷͈̈t̴̬͒o̶̜̔ ̴͔̿u̴͍͝s̵̗͂ē̸͎ ̴͓͝y̴̻̕o̴̮͊u̵̟͒r̵̗̈ ̸̥͂h̵a̸n̴d̶s̴"
"Snaps man, were goin'"
They stalked off, and Alastor returned to his seat.
"So, Cher, do you wish to, how did they say it, boogie?"
"Al, we don't have to dance if it's not to your liking," you suggested tentatively, concerned about Alastor's comfort.
"Nonsense, I did not learn to disco for nothing." Alastor's response carried a hint of excitement. In an instant, you found yourself on the dance floor, the disco ball casting a dazzling display of lights above your heads.
The dance floor pulsed with neon lights, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the room. The infectious rhythm reverberated through the air, prompting everyone to move in synchronized harmony. Happily you take Alastor's hand and his overcoat disappears leaving him in his black button-up.
The bassline kicks in and you synchronize your movements, letting the music guide you.
The dance floor ignited with a playful series of twirls and spins. Your sequined jumpsuit scattered sparks across its surface, catching the neon lights in a dazzling display. Your bodies moving in harmony.
The tempo rises and soon a transition into sensual and intricate dance moves. Your fluidity contrasts Alastors strong and controlled movements. You playfully tease him with every step. The crowd soon had all of their eyes on the two of you.
A continued show of trust and chemistry flowed through every dip, lift, and spin. The disco lights danced in their eyes, mirroring the euphoria of the music that surrounded them showcasing laughter and glances, you were completely lost in the magic of the moment,
The music reaches its peak, and you lock eyes with Alastor. His usual smile was replaced with a lovesick grin.
As the song concluded, your heart still pounding with the rhythm, the world slowly came back into focus. The applause of the entertained crowd echoed, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and joy. Alastor's expression, a lovesick grin, reveals a side you hadn't seen before, deepening the connection between you two.
Leading the way, Alastor guided you from the dance floor to the exit. As you stepped outside, his coat materialized on your shoulders, a protective gesture in the crisp night air.
"Wow, Alastor, I didn't know you could dance like that" The revelation left you pleasantly surprised and craving more insights into this mysterious demon.
"Mon Cherie, next time we'll go to a jazz club and you'll see how well I can dance"
Still breathless from the dance, you sighed contentedly as you continued the walk back to the hotel, the night filled with the echoes of joy and music.
Hello ☺️ 1, 4, 8, 13, and 19 for the For the "20 Tav QOTDs"
hello!! this is such a lovely ask, thank you, so many questions! <3
I'm going to answer for Tirazel (Tav) & Ch'lakhou (Durge). Both romanced Astarion :)
what do they smell like at their freshest? (and/or after a tenday. your choice)
For Tirazel, the answer is soft lavender soap and the searing smell of fresh magic. After a tenday, it's corpses: she's a necromancer.
For Ch'lakhou, earthy scents and a dash of cinnamon. Also: they can never quite get the blood out of their fingernails so there'll be a hint of that on their hants. After a tenday, it's all blood and guts: they're the dark urge.
4. how do they sleep with their LI (what position, does one steal the blankets, is one too hot/cold, etc)?
Tirazel sleeps like a burrito with as many blankets and pillows as possible -- and they're all silk, if possible. She cannot be touched during sleep else she'll wake up, so often they both lie, vampire-like and completely flat on a king size bed, with Astarion caving and slipping in her arms during the morning for a cuddle just before she wakes. (They switch who is little/big spoon)
As for Ch'lakhou, they're an asshole in bed. A blanket thief who takes up half the bed. Astarion's hands are FAR TOO COLD for them, so they deal with this with a coal fire, enchanted blankets, and a creature who sleeps with them in bed to generate warmth because they also INSIST on cuddling if Astarion is going to share a bed (They are little spoon). See below:
8. if either, are they part of the astarion/gale book club (magic & literature) or the wyll/shadowheart book club (trashy romance novels)?
Both are in the first book club.
Tirazel overwhelmingly reads and collects books about magic. The remaining 10% is honestly a mix of satirical baldurian social comedy novels and deeply bougie 'tasteful' pornography. She would take offence to you calling her 'erotic fiction' trashy.
Ch'lakhou is a Hamlet fan. Extremely into gory revenge tragedies with fraught, violent heroes grappling with their role in society as expected by family/religion/society. They are extremely singular in their taste in reading and simply have not read anything else -- but would enjoy a trashy romance novel if you gave it to them.
13. what makes them laugh? what does their laugh sound like?
It's Astarion
Tirazel: Appreciates a good witty repartée and a sparkling intelligence in humour. HOWEVER despite appearances really not above a dumb, low brow joke or an extremely crude, dirty joke either. Astarion catches her off guard by doing both. Her laugh starts off as a practised, tinkling little thing, but if you really get her to laugh she will gigglesnort.
Ch'lakhou: Absurd humour. Antics. Gallows humour and deadpan humour about blood/guts/corpses/standard 'durge stuff'. Unfailing commitment to the bit. Being unflappable and taking the humour of a bizarre situation in one's stride. The funniest party members in their opinion are Minthara, Astarion, and Wyll for this reason. As for their laugh -- they scoff/chuckle a lot, a fair bit of wry laughter and half-smiles: to really get them to laugh is a challenge but if they do it's a terrible villainous cackle. They sound silly <3
19. do you have a playlist for your tav? if so, what’s the title + description?
I have an Astarion/Tirazel playlist called 'Bite Me' (very original; no description I'm lazy but the cover art is a fancy goblet full of a certain dark red liquid) which is a mix of 80s/90s goth, music inspired by 80s/90s goth, and a heavy amount of PJ harvey.
I don't have a Ch'lakhou playlist but I think it'd be either disco + dancy new wave (for the discordant vibes - imagine them murdering to 'disco inferno' or 'just can't get enough'), or 90s industrial. Closer by Nine Inch Nails is their theme song lmao.
Okay! I have a burning question for you, my dude. Music is my life, and I wanna know what kind of music the OPM casts listen to. Thanks, my guy!
I had a feeling this would be inevitable lol. I don’t really know a whole lot about music or genres or anything like that so I’m just gonna give you a rundown of each character individually and some song recs along with that just to smooth things out a little. Thanks for your ask, by the way! ❤️ Now my playlists will be put to good use.
A Brief Rundown of the Major OPM Characters’ Music Tastes:
Blast: hc that he doesn’t even have ears since he never fucking LISTENS
Terrible Tornado: Stuff that makes her feel powerful. Loud vocals and good instrumentals. Also, she’s a little angsty since she’s saltier than the gotdamn Pacific almost all of the time. (Recs: Florence and the Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, Susanne Sundfør - Delirious, Florence and the Machine - What Kind of Man, Kali Uchis - Dead to Me, Let’s Eat Grandma - Falling Into Me)
Fubuki: some of that real classy shit. Slow songs that are nice to just have a cup of tea with. Nothing too meaty or fast-paced, she enjoys taking a moment to breathe every once and a while since life gets pretty hectic when you’re managing a gang of some 30 hooligans. (Recs: Wes - Midnight Low, any song from Lana Del Rey’s entire discography lol, Florence and the Machine - Grace, The Marìas - I Don’t Know You, Yellow House - Ain’t Gonna Call, Feng Suave - Toking, Dozing)
Silverfang: Stuff from his time. I hc that he was a bit of a party animal back in his prime so he’s gotta have those grooves. Disco to the extremo. Also, another hc: Garou absolutely hates his music. He would play it during training and Garou would contemplate homicide. (Recs: Frankie Valli - Grease, The Edgar Winter Group - Free Ride, KC and the Sunshine Band - I’m Your Boogie Man, Matthew Wilder - Break My Stride, The Main Ingredient - Everybody Plays the Fool, Andrea True Connection - More, More, More)
Bomb: save as Silverfang, although I hc that Bomb was a little more of a nerd growing up. Still, he never missed out on a good party. (Additional Recs: KC and the Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight, The Trammps - Disco Inferno, Tierra - Together, Cornelius Bros and Sister Rose - Too Late to Turn Back Now)
Atomic Samurai: Old shit. Shit older than Silverfang. He’s really not that old, but his soul is fucking ancient and he’s got that classic “grrr music these days sucks” kind of shithead attitude. (Recs: Jim Croce - Time in a Bottle, Dion - Runaround Sue, The Carpenters - The End of the World, The Band - The Weight)
Child Emperor: Upbeat synth. Stuff to listen to while he’s working on his machines and whatnot. Probably has meaty beats to keep him in tune with what he’s doing, like working around a clock. Probably some groovy citypop in there too. (Recs: Taeko Ohnuki - 4:00 AM, Junko Ohashi - Telephone Number, Tatsuro Yamashita - Magic Ways, Hiroyuki Sawano - NEXUS, Superfly - Kakusei, Mariya Takeuchi - Plastic Love)
Metal Knight: Intrumentals that Disney villains listen to. Deep, dark shit that makes you feel sad. He probably feeds off of negative emotion. What a toolbag. (Recs: Lucas King - Sociopath, Abel Korzeniowski- Table for Two, Max Richter - Never Goodbye, Max Richter - She Remembers, Evelyn Stein - Quiet Resource, Mac Quayle - Adagio in G Minor)
King: video game soundtracks, obviously. Might be some electro funk in there too, as a treat. (Recs: Metal Gear Solid 3 OST - Snake Eater, Mick Gordon - Rip and Tear, Xenoblade Chronicles OST - Main Theme, Persona 5 OST - Last Surprise, Daft Punk - Verdis Quo, Toby Fox - Hopes and Dreams, Disasterpeace - Prologue, iamthekidyouknowwhatimean - Run, Darren Korb - Old Friends)
Zombieman: Dad Music. Old rock that makes you wanna rail some lines of white thunder and dance on top of a car. He’d be reluctant to try out new stuff but does so nevertheless. Just a little bit of weird alternative here and there. (Recs: Poison - Unskinny Bop, Mötley Crüe - Dr. Feelgood, Black Sabbath - War Pigs, Def Leppard - Animal, CRX - Walls, MGMT - Little Dark Age, Pink Floyd - Money, Queens of the Stone Age - Villains of Circumstance)
Drive Knight: Dark synth, obviously. Need I say more? (Recs: El Tigr3 - She Swallowed Burning Coals, Trevor Something - Enjoy the Silence, Greg Drombrowski - Devour, GUNSHIP - Woken Furies, GUNSHIP - Thrasher, Carpenter Brut - Invasion A.D., Kavinsky - Nightcall)
Pig God: this guy probably just listens to ASMR of people eating food lol.
Superalloy Darkshine: Upbeat stuff that’s good for exercise; loving those new jams along with some of the old. He’s got a pretty groovy style. (Diane Ross - Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Saint Motel - Puzzle Pieces, CRUISR - All Over, Barry White - Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up, Sade - Kiss of Life)
Watchdog Man: 10 hour loop of wolves howling on a summer night.
Flashy Flash: classical. Some nice instrumentals to listen to while training. Stuff that preferably doesn’t have any or very little lyrics so it’s not too busy on his ears while he’s fantasizing about killing someone. (Recs: Vaughn Williams - The Lark Ascending, Debussy - Rêverie, Grieg - Peace of the Woods, André Laplante - Une Barque sur L’Ocean)
Metal Bat: Modern alternative. A little bit harder than say, Mumen and Kama, but not as hard as Zombieman or Death Gatling. He’s that middle ground where he’s still got some real bangers, but Zenko can listen as well. He’ll play this stuff loudly as he’s doing chores and working out, no headphones ever. It gets pretty annoying. (Recs: Foals - Exits, The Blue Stones - Black Holes, Solid Ground, CRX - Broken Bones, Jungle - Happy Man, The Strokes - Reptilia, We Are Trees - Girlfriend)
Genos: synth. But not just any synth, some heavy, fast-paced synth that’s just like him: speedy, relentless, and powerful. He listens to shit that’ll make you wanna get up and start killing Terminators. Probably. There’s some other synths in the mix too because we love a three-dimensional king. (Recs: Carpenter Brut - Division Ruine, The Protomen - I Still Believe, Carpenter Brut - Leather Teeth, Gunship - Tech Noir, TWRP - Phantom Racer, Le Castle Vania - Red Circle)
Tanktop Master: Dad music but the type of dad music that makes you think your dad was a sappy nerd back in the day. Long tracks that are good for workouts. (Tears for Fears - Woman in Chains, Pink Floyd - Us and Them, Duran Duran - Ordinary World, Billy Idol - Eyes without a Face, A Flock of Seagulls - I Ran, The Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the Sky, Tears for Fears - Sowing the Seeds of Love)
Puri-Puri Prisoner: Pop. Dance music. He doesn’t really get to listen to a lot of music in prison, so he holds on to whatever he can and savors every second of it. (Coldplay - Talk, Bruno Mars - Runaway Baby, Lady Gaga - Bad Romance, Flo Milli - Beef Flomix, Doja Cat - Say So)
Mumen Rider: Hes a lighthearted, soft boy. Likes some fluffy indie tunes. It helps to motivate him when working out or doing hero stuff. He might need to cry every once in a while though, so there’s some sad songs in the mix too. (Recs: Varsity - The Dogs Only Listen to Him, The The - This is the Day, Amarante - Don’t Look Back, Alvvays - Saved by a Waif, The Monkees - As We Go Along, Acid Ghost - Hide my Face, Mogwai - Take Me Somewhere Nice)
Sonic: same as Flash. He’s a little more hip with the times however, so he’s got some more groovy, electronic instrumentals to listen to in addition to some elegant stuff and isn’t opposed to having a little bit of lyrics sprinkled in there as well. In fact, he’s not opposed to uppity pop either. He thinks dancing is frivolous but he secretly does it when he thinks nobody is looking. (Additional Recs: Odesza - Bloom, Pretty Lights - One Day They’ll Know [Odesza Remix], BØRNS - Electric Love, Hembree - Culture, The Cinematic Orchestra - Arrival of the Birds)
Garou: same as Metal Bat. Bang let him have a little MP3 player during his time at the dojo and has since collected a few songs on there. They’re very near and dear to his heart since it’s one of the few good things that came from his absolute disaster of a childhood. (Additional Recs: Foals - Inhaler, CRX - Slow Down, Deep Sea Arcade - Close to Me, Gorillaz - Empire Ants, The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger, Glass Animals - Take A Slice)
Death Gatling: Shit your old Vietnam-vet grandpa would blast on the back of his F150. He gives me self-righteous asshole vibes, if I’m honest. Like, don’t get me wrong, I like Death Gatling, but he seems like the type of trailer park-dwelling sewer rat to carry a revolver into a Walmart for “self defense” and that’s probably the type of music he listens to, too. (Recs: Megadeth - Trust, Megadeth - Angry Again, Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son, Glen Campbell - Southern Nights, Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart, Quiet Riot - Cum on Feel the Noize)
One-Shotter: I hard hc that he had an emo phase he never quite grew out of. He doesn’t quite listen to emo anymore but he’s still into that alternative shit. Homeboy also likes some slow tunes every once and a while because he’s an emotional dude who’s not afraid of a good cry. (Recs: Anything from Blink-182, Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?, MGMT - When You Die, Mazzy Star - Fade Into You, Cigarettes After Sex - Dreaming of You, Yon Ort - Other Matter)
Lightning Max: Same as Genos but without the terminator-killing. Fast-paced stuff because he’s a fast lightning dude. A little more upbeat because he’s not as much as an edgelord as Genos, however. (Additional Recs: Carpenter Brut - Hang’em All, The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize, Worn Tin - Sensitivity, B.E.R. - The Night Begins to Shine, Martin Hall - Different Kind of Love)
Stinger: he’s all about that FUNK! Stuff that gets him moving! Stuff that makes him wanna dance! (Recs: Daft Punk - Doin’ it Right, TWRP - Body Image, Wild Cherry - Play that Funky Music, Chemise - She Can’t Love You, Saga - Wind Him Up, Saga - On the Loose, TWRP - All Night Forever)
Okamaitachi: they give me electro vibes! New, modern shit that’s good to dance to or to just sit down and have a listen! Also, some shit that’ll probably play in a coming-of-age teen movie or something. They don’t really vibe with heavy music and that’s alright, babey! Keeping it light and bouncy. (Recs: Tei Shi - Bassically, Varsity - Must Be Nice, Class Actress - Weekend, CHVRCHES - Richard Pryor, Alvvays - Marry Me, Archie, Sobs - Telltale Signs, Goth Babe - Sometimes, ALASKALASKA - Meateater)
Iaian: Nice, low tunes that are good for meditation and to be used for background noise during training sessions. He never really sits down to listen to music, it’s always in the background of something else he’s doing so he prefers to have some soft beats that don’t really interfere with his senses. Tunes so quiet, he sometimes uses them as lullabies; especially since the trauma of losing his arm has since made it hard to sleep. (Recs: Boy Scouts - Saddest Boy, Susanne Sundfør - Mantra, Vashiti Bunyan - If I Were the Same but Different, Starman Jr. - Blue Fairy, Patrick Watson - Je te Laisserai des Mots, Sibylle Baier - I Lost Something in the Hills)
Bushidrill: same as Atomic Samurai just without the shitty attitude. He’s happy to listen to some newer stuff, he just doesn’t like it and that’s okay, baby! Probably some classy shit your wise old grandpa would listen to. (Recs: Dean Martin - Volare, Dion - The Wanderer, Peppino Gagliardi - Che Vuole Questra Musica Stasera, anything from Luis Miguel lol, Franco Micalizzi - Sadness Theme)
Amai Mask: probably just listens to his own music like a putz. If not, he’s listening to the sound equivalent of glittering diamonds. He’s probably got this shit playing at the end of a long day while he’s chilling in a hot bath or something. (Recs: Fergie - Glamorous, Rita Ora - Hot Right Now, Lana Del Rey - Freak, Lana Del Rey - Art Deco, Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards)
Saitama: He doesn’t listen to music much anymore, sadly. He did, however, have a killer motivational mix to get him through his vigorous training prior to becoming a hero. (Recs: Paul Engemann - Push it to the Limit, Journey - Don’t Stop Believin’, College & Electric Youth - A Real Hero, Joe Esposito - You’re the Best Around, Survivor - Eye of the Tiger, The Bee Gees - Nights on Broadway)
Here’s the playlist with all of these songs in order (mostly):
It’s on YouTube because I’m allergic to Spotify. I’ve got a doctor’s note. Also, all of my other playlists are on my little profile thingy so if you want to listen to my pile then go right ahead.
Thanks for your ask, my dude! ❤️ this took up ALL of my energy lol but it was fun.
Hey Famers!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on things! We have a TON of new events lined up! Remember that poll you all took a few months ago? We’re going to be incorporating all those events into our plots schedule within the next few days. It’s a pretty big project so just give us some time to figure out where all the events can fit in with things already in the plots schedule. Once it’s all in, we’ll make another notice and start rolling out all those other events! We’re excited to make sure all of your ideas get put into the group! Under the cut you can find a list of events that will be put into the plot schedule. These events will be placed in the plot schedule based by votes from the prior poll of what members wanted to do first. Please note, AU Week was already done :) We’re excited for all these upcoming events within the group!
SPEAK EASY (optional event where members have to solve clues in order to get the password. Once the password is identified they will have access to the blog where event details will be posted. Members must figure out the password to get to into the event)
HOUSE CHALLENGE (think harry potter houses, but each house will be represented by a different classic hollywood celebrity! All members will be categorized into houses and for one week the main will post different writing challenges, prompts, events, activities etc. If you choose to have your celeb participate in any of these events, they will get points. The house with the most points at the end of the week will win a prize!)
ESCAPE ROOM (Members will be assigned into sorted groups where they will have to answer ‘riddles’ to get out of the ‘escape room’ for a prize. )
CAMPING TRIP (One weekend. No amenities. A REAL camping trip with tents, stringing food away to keep from bears etc)
TRUTH OR DARE (the main would make a post asking truth or dare, and members can reblog the post saying what they choose (a truth or a dare) and the admins can give out different dares or juicy questions that celebs have to do or answer! It can be anything from writing prompts to having their celeb kiss one of their exes or kiss someone they may have chemistry with etc.)
AU WEEK (For an entire week players can try different ships, explore their characters past or future, play out different scenarios etc and once the week is over they can go back to normal and the ships etc that happened during AU week never happened)
MASK BALL (A masquerade ball where you have to figure out who your date is while wearing a mask)
MUSIC/FASHION EVENT (Think like a VS Fashion Show. A big fashion event where several designers showcase their work. A singer/band is singing live while the runway is happening)
ADULT PROM 60s: “Flower Power” Hippie themed party70s: Disco Inferno themes party80s: neon party/prom90s: “I love the 90s” (Guests can wear grunge, Clueless inspired plaid skirts, or even dress up as the Ninja Turtles)
Kentucky Derby inspired event (Sundresses and floppy hats for girls and Blazers and Khakis for the guys, horses etc)
SECRET ADMIRER WEEK (think like our secret santa event where celeb gets paired with another celeb. For an entire week they will send them anonymous gifts, notes etc. And on the last day they will reveal who they are to one another)
@thecorteztwins: Please accept this small offering that I hope will lift your spirits after that last issue of X-Men.
Sipping at the last of his margarita, admiring the way the sunlight sparkled on glistening white sand and turquoise waves, Shinobi Shaw reflected that the X-Men really were very, very stupid. And how fortunate that was for him. It had been ridiculously easy to fake his own death. He’d just solidified the parts of his hand outside his head, while keeping the rest of his hand safely phased through his brain. Collapse on the ground with a few convincing death spasms and a touch of fake blood, and the morons had wandered off without even checking for a pulse. The most difficult part had been keeping a straight face.
But that was done, and the X-Men would surely spread word of his death, which meant certain parties would cease to look for him. That took quite a bit of pressure off. The rest of the Upstarts would have to deal with the consequences of their failure; it was frankly their own faults if they were too stupid to follow his example and escape. Shinobi had made his way down to the Bahamas, to a very exclusive beach-side bar that catered specifically to people like him. One had to know the right people to even find the place, and Shinobi, of course, knew all the right people.
Of course, it was starting to seem like they were letting any kind of riff-raff in lately, Shinobi thought as he looked out at the crowd from his seat at the bar. One of the patrons was a wild-eyed man with disheveled black hair, and the tackiest outfit Shinobi had ever seen – a metallic silver shirt paired with booty shorts with a cosmic-themed print. He looked like an alien with gaudy tastes and a poor understanding of human fashion (or possibly a time-traveler from an eighties music video). He was talking loudly and passionately (ranting was perhaps a better word) to another dark haired man, this one tall and beautifully androgynous, who was clad in a loud Hawaiian shirt, socks with sandals, and a smug expression that indicated he was wearing all of this ironically. A pendant hung around his neck, with what appeared to be Norse runes, and a tiny pair of gold horns. From the snatches of conversation that he could hear, Shinobi gathered that the badly-dressed man was named Max, and he claimed to be royalty (didn’t they all), and hated his brother, while the beautiful hipster regarded all this with patient amusement. The hipster was almost pretty enough to peak Shinobi’s interest, but he couldn’t forgive that outfit.
Then again, there was a gorgeous Indian woman sitting out on the sand, with a dark waterfall of hair cascading down her back. She had an aura of sweetness and calm that seemed out of place among the rest of the patrons, as she gazed out at the sea. As if to complete the Disney-like picture, a bird fluttered down and landed on her outstretched fingers. Shinobi wondered if she’d maintain that supposed innocence between the sheets.
He finished his margarita, and signaled for another. The bartender was a solidly-built man with brown hair laced with grey, and a weather-beaten face that seemed to put him in his late forties or early fifties. Shinobi watched for a moment in fascination as the man poured ingredients into a silver shaker, then kept his hand perfectly still as the shaker seemed to vibrate of its own accord. There was something familiar about the man, but Shinobi couldn’t be bothered to remember. Shinobi was here to drink, fuck, and relax. Speaking of which….he let his gaze wander back to the Indian woman, wondering how to best approach her.
“I wouldn’t bother, mate,” came a voice from beside him. The man was slim and wiry, with a shock of curly blond hair, and a smoother face that seemed to indicate that he was a little younger than the bartender (or, at least, had a better understanding of moisturizer.) “She ain’t interested. She’s mostly here to try to get us all to change our ways and see the light.” The accent was Australian, not as elegant as British, Shinobi thought, but pleasant enough on the ear.
“She’s got no business acting like she’s better than any of us,” scoffed the bartender as he passed Shinobi his drink. “She’s here for a reason.”
“And I’m glad she is,” said Shinobi, taking a sip and nodding approvingly. “I like a challenge. People rarely say ‘no’ to me.”
The blond shrugged. “She’ll probably just start talking about compassion, and try to convince you to go feed the homeless with her, but go ahead. Your funeral, mate.” He winked at Shinobi, and the bartender suddenly scowled. Shinobi had seen that look many times before, in many bars, parties and high-end clubs. He just flashed the bartender a dazzling smile in return. It wasn’t his fault that he was so beautiful.
“Maybe you could do some actual work today, Johnny?”
“What? After I spent all morning working my fingers to the bone slicing limes? And this is the thanks I get?” The blond held his hand out to Shinobi, as if to show how he had toiled. The hands showed no signs of hard work, but there was scarring across the knuckles indicating that the blond, like the bartender, was no stranger to a fight.
“Oh, yes, I’m sure that was such hard work. However would I cope without you?” The bartender rolled his eyes, wiping down the bar.
“You’d be lost without me and you know it, Dom,” the blond grinned, now winking at him. “Besides, I am working. I’m socializing with the patrons, and making sure that everyone is happy.”
The blond was a potential prospect, Shinobi decided, if the Indian woman responded coldly. He was handsome, even with the faint pockmarks on his face that resembled old acne scars. And he seemed upbeat and fun, which fit Shinobi’s mood entirely. The blond had lit a match from one of the books stacked on the bar, and was letting the flame dance across his fingers in the shape of a butterfly.
“We’re co-owners,” he explained, nodding back towards the bartender.
“Partners, you could say,” the bartender emphasized.
“You could say that, indeed.”
Shinobi was moderately amused by the man’s little show. It was nothing special, but still, powers were better than no powers.
“Why ‘Elysium’?” he asked conversationally, glancing at the matchbook printed with the bar’s name.
“It’s that place in Hades for the good people, ain’t it?” responded the blond, still letting the fire flutter around his hands. “And this is a little slice of paradise for those of us who really ought to be in Hell. I thought it was fitting.”
“Too pretentious if you ask me,” grumbled the bartender. “I wanted to call the place Tremors.”
“Yeah, and I wanted to call it Disco Inferno, but those are both a bit too on the nose, right? This place only functions if we keep a low profile.”
“That works fine for me,“ said Shinobi. “Low profile is exactly what I need right now. I appreciate your discretion.”
“We aim to please,” said the blonde, leaning a little closer to Shinobi. The bartender gave a loud sigh.
“And now,” Shinobi decided, standing up from the bar, “I’m going to try my luck with that beauty.”
“Yeah, sure, enjoy the morality lecture,” said the bartender.
“I’ll just sit here and watch you fail,” smirked the blond, confiscating Shinobi’s unfinished margarita and taking a swig.
“Watch a master at work, then, perhaps you’ll learn something,” Shinobi said grandly, striding down the sand towards the Indian woman, mentally pulling up his best pick-up lines.
Notes:
Shinobi does not sleep with Haven, instead she teaches him meditation techniques, and he has a very calm and restful afternoon. The pockmarks on Pyro’s face are scars left from the Legacy Virus. He and Avalanche may or may not be partners in every sense of the word. Maybe Avalanche is just annoyed because Pyro is flirting instead of helping him, or maybe they’re together. Reader’s choice.
Big news for In Bed by Ten! Not only am I hosting the first ever Virtual Dance Party on Friday, March 27th from 6-9pm, but I also launched a Patreon today!
First, RSVP for the dance party on Friday; it's a suggested $5 donation to benefit the Sisters PGH LGBTQIA Emergency Relief Fund. And be ready to dance at home!
Second, the Patreon! IBBT started in 2015 as a silly idea with a friend and grew into something major; a monthly dance party from 6-9pm that also functions as a fundraiser for local charities. Since IBBT began at Spirit in Lawrenceville, together we've raised over $100,000 for local charities! 100% of the door cover goes directly to the charity of the month, along with a portion of Spirit's bar take for the night. That's right, I don't make any money. This year I was hoping to start being able to make a little money to recoup expenses and pay for my time. Spirit had generously arranged a sponsorship with the good folks at Straub beer for 2020. Obviously, that has been tabled for the time being. I'd like to keep doing these events but it's hard for me to keep at it on a regular basis without making any money.
So that's where this Patreon comes in! Back at the $5 level and you'll get a weekly playlist from me on Spotify, each with a different theme, all awesome. Sign up now at the link in my bio and you'll have immediate access to three new playlists (In Bed by Ten Classics, 80s Party, and Disco Inferno), with a new one coming out every Friday. Plus you'll get notifications about upcoming events and a special post where you can make song requests in advance. Thanks for helping keep this viable, and for being a part of In Bed by Ten! You can back it here!
Duke Reviews: Iron Man
Hi, Everyone, I'm Andrew Leduc And Welcome To Duke Reviews Where Today We Are Starting A New Franchise After Finishing The Fast And Furious Films In September And Doing Duke's Monsterween And Duke's Yultide Reviews In October, November And December. But Wait, Did I Say Franchise? I Meant, Cinematic Universe, Welcome My Friends, To The Marvel Cinematic Universe....
And What Better Way To Start Our Look At The MCU, By Looking At The Film That Started It All, Iron Man!
But Before We Begin, I Have A Slight Confession To Make, Until This Movie Came Out I Knew Absolutely Nothing About Iron Man, I Mean I Saw A Few Episodes Of The 1994 Iron Man Animated Series When I Was A Kid And I Knew A Few Names Like Tony And Rhodey But It Didn't Really Stick With Me Unlike The Fantastic Four Who's 94 Series I Also Watched And I Collected Few Of The Action Figures (Namely The 4 Themselves) But We're Not Talking About The Fantastic Four Who Don't Have A Movie In The MCU Yet (But I Hope It's Soon) We're Talking About Iron Man...
Directed By Jon Favreau, This Film Follows Billionaire Industrialist..,
(Start At 1:45, End At 1:51)
Who Gets Captured By A Terrorist Group Only To Escape With The Help Of A Mechanized Suit That He Created And Upon Returning Home, Tony Devotes All His Time To Perfecting The Suit So He Can Fight Crime...
So, What Are We Waiting For? Let's Watch Iron Man...
The Film Starts In Afghanistan As Tony Stark (Played By Robert Downey Jr.) Is Being Driven In A Convoy By Military Soliders Who Turn Guarding Mr. Stark Into A Q&A Session At Comic-Con...
But When They're Attacked By Terrorists Who End Up Killing Them, Tony Leaves The Safety Of The Convoy To Hide Behind A Rock To Call For Help On His Phone, Only To Be Damaged By One Of His Companies Missiles That Causes Tony To Bleed Out...
A Few Hours Later We See That Tony Has Been Kidnapped By The Terrorists As We Get A Title Card!
Rewinding To 36 Hours In Las Vegas, We Watch A Video On Stark Himself As He's About To Recieve The Apogee Award....
(Start At 0:08, End At 1:02)
Being Given The Award By His Best Friend, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes (Played In This By Empire's Terrence Howard) He Discovers That Tony Is Not There So, Instead He Gives The Award To Tony's Partner In Stark Industries, Obadiah Stane, (Played By Tron's Jeff Bridges) Who Simply Says That He's Always Working When Really He's Enjoying Vegas Like Any Other Guy!
Finding Tony At A Crap Table, Rhodey Gives Tony His Award And Tells Him To Not Be Late For Their Flight Tomorrow As Tony Walks Out Of Ceaser's But As His Bodyguard, Happy Hogan (Played By Director Jon Favreau) They're Confronted By A Reporter For Vanity Fair Named Christine Everhart (Played By Talladega Nights Leslie Bibb) Who Tony Talks With For A Moment Before Ending Up With Her
Waking Up The Next Morning In Tony's Bed, Christine Ends Up Being Scooted Out Faster Than One Of Charlie Sheen's Women On 2 And A Half Men As Tony Gets Ready To Fly To Afghanistan With The Help Of His Assistant, Pepper Potts (Played By Gwyneth Paltrow)
Racing Happy To The Airport, Tony Boards A Plane With Rhodey To Afghanistan Where He Will Do A Weapons Demonstration In Front Of The Military...
(End At 1:19)
Getting Inside Of The Convoy To Get Away From Lame Old No Fun Rhodey Tony Ends Up Right Back Where The Film Started With Him In The Hands Of A Group Of Terrorists...
Once Conscious, Tony Discovers That He Has A Metal Device In His Heart That Was Placed There By A Fellow Captive Named Yinsen Who Says That In The Blast Tony's Heart Took On A Lot Of Shrapnel, Removing What He Could, That Device Is What Is Keeping The Rest From Hitting Tony's Heart...
With Their Captors Coming In, Yinsen Translates For Them As He Says That They Want Him To Build A Jericho Missile Like The One He Demonstrated For The Military, Refusing, They Torture Tony For A Few Minutes Before Taking Him And Yinsen Outside Where He Continues Translating For Them, Saying That Once He Makes The Jericho For Them, They'll Set Him Free But Tony Knows Different...
Working On The Jericho With Yinsen, Tony Learns More About His Captors Discovering That They Are Called The Ten Rings And They Aparently Speak In A Lot Of Languages But None Of Them Know English, Breaking Down The Missiles, Tony And Yinsen Start Taking Palladium Out Of Them So Tony Can Build Himself A Small Arc Reactor Which Will Keep His Heart Running For 3 Lifetimes...
(Tony) I Wonder If It Could Stand Radiation From A Life Killing Glove?....
This Leads Stark To Show Yinsen What He's Actually Building Which Turns Out To Be The Mark 1 Iron Man Suit...
Placing The Arc Reactor In Tony's Chest, They Get A Little Down Time Where Tony Learns A Little About Yinsen Discovering That He's From A Town Named Gulmira Once They Escape He's Going To See His Family...
Continuing Work On The Mark 1, The Man In Charge Of This Group Of The Ten Rings, Raza Is Getting Tired Of Waiting For The Jericho Missile And Tells Yinsen And Tony That He Has Until Tomorrow To Get Them The Missile, Forcing Tony And Yinsen To Up Their Timetable On The Mark 1...
With Tony Suiting Up In The Mark 1, They Start To Power It Up While A Trap They Both Placed On The Door, Blows Up, Killing 2 Guards As They Try To Open It...
With Raza Telling His Men To Deal With It, The Mark 1 Program Needs More Time To Load, So, Yinsen Runs Out To Deal With Raza And His Guards...
(Yinsen) I Regret Nothing!!!!!
(Yinsen) Oh, Shit!
With The Suit At 100%, Tony's Ready To Take On Some Terrorists...
(End At 2:09)
Trying To Get Yinsen Up So He Can See His Family Again He Tells Tony The Truth That His Family Is Dead And He's Going To See Them Now, Dying In Tony's Arms...
Going Out To Face The Terrorists, Tony Basically Barbeques Them And The Weapons They Have...
Being Damaged By Bullets, Tony Decides The Only Way Out Is Up...And Down...
More Like A Propelled Leap Instead Of A Flight, But It's A Work In Progress...
Waking Through The Desert Like Lawrence Of Arabia...
Tony Is Eventually Found By Rupert And The Military Who Bring Him Back To The States So Once Back He Can Put On A Press Conference To Make An Announcement. But Before The Press Conference Begins, Pepper Is Confronted By Agent Phil Coulson (Played By Clark Gregg) Who Asks For Her To Set Up A Meeting Between Him And Stark To Ask Him About His Escape From The Ten Rings...
When The Meeting Starts, Tony Tells The Press That When He Was There In Afghanistan, He Had His Eyes Opened As He Came To Realize That He Can Do More For This World Than Just Make Things That Kill People So, With That Said Tony Decides To Shut Down The Weapons Division Of Stark Industries Until Further Notice...
And I Thought Seeing Jeff Bridges Country Accent In R.I.P.D. Was Bad But Jeff Bridges On A Segeway? Now That's Scary...
Talking With Tony After The Meeting, Obadiah Asks Tony If They Aren't Going To Make Weapons, What Are They Going To Make? Which Leads Tony To Suggest That Maybe They Should Look Into Arc Reactor Tech Which Makes Obadiah Scoff Until He Sees Tony's Arc Reactor In His Chest...
Returning Home, Tony Asks For Pepper's Help In Removing The Arc Reactor In His Chest So That He Can Place In A New Upgraded Version Of The Arc Reactor Instead, Asking What To Do With The Old One? Tony Tells Pepper To Destroy It Because If There's One Thing He Isn't, It's Nostalgic..
Meeting Rhodey At The Military Base, Tony Tells Him That He's Working On A New Project And He Wants Him To Be Involved In It But Discovering That It's Not For The Military, Rhodey Passes As Tony Returns To His House In Malibu, He Talks With His AI, J.A.R.V.I.S. About Placing A File On His Private Server Dubbed, Mark 2...
But As Tony Begins Work On The Mark 2 Iron Man Suit, Raza And The Ten Rings Find The Remains Of The Mark 1 Iron Man Suit In The Afganian Dessert...
After A Disastrous (Yet Funny) First Flight Test, Tony Decides To Create A Handheld Flight Stabilizer That'll Both Control The Rockets And Work As A Possible Weapon...
A Few Minutes Later, Tony Goes Upstairs To Have (Imatating Tim Curry In Home Alone 2) Pit-Za...With Pepper And Obadiah Who Tells Tony That He Just Came From A Board Of Directors Meeting Where They Decided That They're Filing An Injunction Against Him Because They Feel That Tony's New Direction Isn't What's Best For The Company...
Well, At Least They Didn't Kick Him Out Like Others Did With These Guys From Other Marvel Movies...
Wanting Tony To...
To Pitch To The Board, Obadiah Suggests Letting His Engineers Make Specs Of Tony's Arc Reactor But Tony Says No, It Stays With Him...
The Next Day, Tony Does A Second Flight Test Using The New Flight Stabilizers And (Imitating Bill Murray In Ghostbusters) It's A Successful Test...
With The Mark 2 Iron Man Suit Built, Tony Suits Up To Get Everything Online Before Powering The Shut Down But Tony Tells J.A.R.V.I.S. To Run A Weather And ATC Check And Start Listening In On Ground Control So He Can Do A Flight Test...
(Start At 1:10)
On His Way Back To His Work Station, Tony Discovers A Present From Pepper, Which Is The Mark 1 Arc Reactor Inside Of Engraving On The Outside Of It Which Says, "Proof That Tony Stark Has A Heart"
Returning To His Work Station, Tony Fixes All The Problems With The Mark 2 (Including The Icing Problem) And Starts Production On The Mark 3 Which Looks More Like The Iron Man We All Know And Love. But While Doing That Tony Sees On The News That Stark Industries Is Holding A Benefit For The Firefighters Family Fund At The Disney Concert Hall...
Little Hint To Disney Owning Marvel In The Future? (Note: At The Time Iron Man Came Out Disney Did Not Own Marvel)
And Tony Didn't Get An Invite!?! So, What Does He Do? Why Crash It Of Course!...
Stan Lee Cameo!
Running Into Obadiah At The Party, He Tells Tony To Take It Easy Because He Has The Board Right Where They Want Them With Tony Saying Fine, He Just Has Cabin Fever....
Running Into Coulson, He Books Him On The 24th At 7 Pm At Stark Industries Before Going Off To Talk And Dance With Pepper...
Going Out To Talk With Pepper, She Kind Of Regrets Dancing With Tony Because He's Her Boss And Everybody What Kind Of Person He Is But Sending Him Off To Get Drinks, Tony Runs Into Christine Everhart Who Shows Him Pictures Of His Weapons In Gulmira That Were Taken Yesterday...
But Knowing That He Didn't Approve Any Shipment, Tony Confronts Obadiah On It Who Tells Him That He Was The One Who Filed The Injunction Against Him Because It Was The Only Way To Protect Him...
Okay, I Know Obadiah's The Bad Guy, But Looking Back On This Scene It Has Me Wondering Who Was Obadiah Trying To Protect Tony From? H.Y.D.R.A.? The Ten Rings? Who?
Going Back To His Malibu Home, Tony Watches A News Report In Gulmira Before Deciding To Suit Up As Iron Man To Go Stop The Ten Rings...
(End At 3:17)
With Ground Control Spotting Tony, They Get Rhodey In To See What He Makes Of It...
(Watch Full Video)
With Obadiah Watching Rhodey's News Report On Tv, Pepper Discovers That Tony Is Iron Man As He Tried Taking Off The Suit, But Speaking Of Obadiah, He Visits Raza At His Camp For Him To Show Obadiah The Mark 1 Iron Man Suit Which Raza Will Give Him In Return For Suits Like This Which To Say...
And Basically Kill Him And His Men As He Takes The Mark 1 Back To Stark Industries....
Meanwhile At Tony's House, Tony Wants Pepper To Go To His Office To Hack Into The Mainframe To Retrieve All The Recent Shipping Manifests So That He Can Stop Them And Destroy Them, Believing This Is Crazy At First, Pepper Quits But After Hearing Him Talk About How He Shouldn't Be Alive And How He's Not Crazy But He Just Finally Knows What He Has To Do, Pepper Decides To Stand By Him...
(Pepper) But If You Call Me Felicity, Tony, I'm Leaving...
(Tony) Aww, Come On!
So, Going To Stark Industries, Pepper Hacks Tony's Computer, Finding Plans For The Iron Monger Suit And A Video Connecting Obadiah With The Ten Rings As She Copies It To Tony's Ghost Drive But Unfortunately She's Caught By Obadiah Who...Didn't See Her Do Anything Apparently But Talks With Her About Tony Before She Exits...
Running Quickly, Pepper Runs Into Coulson Who She Tells Everything To....
(Coulson) Do You Say That To All The People You Have Appointments With, Miss? Because If You're Coming Onto Me I Have A Girlfriend Who's A Violinist...
Going Down To The Arc Reactor Room, Obadiah Talks With His Lead Scientist, Who Is Having A Hard Time Shrinking Down An Arc Reactor...
But One Thing I Will Say Is That The Actor Who Plays The Lead Scientist Looks Strangely Familiar To Me Like I've Seen Him In One Of My Favorite Christmas Movies...
Yep, I'm Serious, Folks, That Lead Scientist Is Played By None Other Than Peter Billingsley Otherwise Known Around The Holidays As Ralphie Parker From A Christmas Story...
Oh, My God, I Have So Many Questions Now....Wait A Minute I Just Got This From The Duke Newsroom, An Unknown Source For The Marvel Cinematic Universe Has Confirmed To Us That This Character Billingsley Plays William Ginter Riva (Who Not Only Appears In This Movie But Spider-Man: Far From Home) Is Actually A Descendant Of Ralphie Parker Which Means That A Christmas Story Is Now Officially An MCU Film!
Of Course, A Christmas Story Is Not An MCU Film! Bob Clark Would Be Nuts To Say That Was An MCU Film!...
But Mad That Riva Is Unable To Shrink Down The Arc Reactor, He Decides To Take Matters Into His Own Hands By Stealing Tony's...
Using The Same Device He Used On Rasa, He Paralyzes Tony So He Can Get The Arc Reactor From Tony's Chest But While He Does He Admits That He Got The Ten Rings To Kidnap Him...
So, Without An Arc Reactor What Can Tony Do? But Go Downstairs And Get The Mark 1 Arc Reactor That Pepper Saved With The Help Of DUM-E!...
But With The Arc Reactor In Hand, Obadiah Activates The Iron Monger Suit As Rhodey Finds Tony On The Ground Of His Workshop...
With Pepper And Coulson Arriving At Sector 16, Obadiah Suits Up As Pepper, Coulson And The Other Agents Come In To Find The Mark 1 Armor But They Soon Discover More Than That...
Suiting Up, Tony Suits Up, Telling Rhodey To Keep The Skies Clear As He Goes To Save Pepper From Obadiah But Unfortunately The Mark 3 Is At 48% And Dropping Like Sony After They Took Spider-Man Out Of The MCU...
Eventually Arriving At Stark Industries, Tony Fights Obadiah On The Streets Of Miami Before Taking It To The Skies So Tony Can Ice His Suit Like The Mark 2 Did During It's First Flight...
Running Out Of Power, Tony Manages To Get Back To Stark Industries...
(Watch Full Video)
So, With Obadiah Dead, Rhodey Handles A Press Conference That'll Set Everything Straight, Coulson Tells Both Tony And Pepper That He Works For S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony And Pepper Are...A Work In Progress And Tony Takes Over The Press Conference Where He Admits To The World That He Is Iron Man...
In The First Ever MCU End Credits Scene, We See Tony Returning Home Only To Be Confronted By Col. Nick Fury, Director Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Who Is There To Talk To Him About Something Called The Avenger Initiative...
And That's Iron Man And What Can I Say About It?
For The First Film In The MCU, It Is Fantastic! The Story Is Great, The Characters Are Great, It Is Just A Jewel In The MCU And If You Have Not Seen This Yet Than, What Rock Have You Been Living Under? See It Now!
Till Next Time, This Is Duke, Signing Off...
