I need to start making a collection of my own personal "piss on the poor" lack of reading comprehension moments in Death Note, because I know I have at least a handful of them where I suddenly realized I've read it wrong / posted about it wrong all this time

Here are 2 I can think of off the top of my head:

1) I always read this scene of Light's pep talk at Soichiro's bedside as L going "jfc this can't be real, this is corny af" when IN ACTUALITY I think he's saying the opposite.... "this is just so corny that it's hard to believe that it's fake:"

2) I always thought it was Beyond who says the iconic emo line "being dead is not unnatural" in the Another Note novel, when as my pal @rikiishi pointed out one time it is actually Naomi who says that!

If I can think of any more I'll add 'em on....
