#i stand by my cancelled wife its not his fault for being too nuanced for you#genuinely so heated about it#like he spends all of s2 finding dirk/helping dirk/comforting dirk/inspiring dirk/getting fucking dismissed by dirk#he makes one (1) tasteless comment in his frustration about it and hes suddenly this irredeemable monster like aaarrgghh#like yeah no shit he didnt coddle dirk- dirk wouldve hated that anyway- he flinches from touch/uses objects to put up distance with people-#- he straight up leaves the room when hes upset like he clearly wasnt gonna listen to comforting words at this point either#dirk basically denounced their friendship in his face too#like i understand why dirks like this it makes sense and the whole thing is shitty and miserable no shit hes given up#but wish people would do it without like vilifying todd#most frustrating of all is todd never blames dirk for any of it because it /isnt/ dirks fault#people act like he is. like yeah in s1 he did but he doesnt in s2#OK IM COOL NOW IM NOT BUT WHATEVS#dghda rewatch
