Types of digital signage

Digital signage is trending nowadays as it is more attractive and has the potential to get a wide customer base. The business person approaches the digital signage companies for better results in promotions and marketing activities.

In India, everywhere businesses are started to use digital signboards for more visibility among the public audience. With the help of Signage companies in India to project themselves in a better way so that they can create a good image among the audience. Displaying the information on the digital boards may have the maximum possibility to convey the message to the targeted audience. so it is good to use the digital signboards.

There are types of digital. A few types of digital signage are as follows,

Digital poster

Freestanding display

Ceiling mounted digital signage

Outdoor Digital sigange

Indoor digital signage

Digital menu

Digital poster: digital posters can be installed most simply. Even the owner of the can alter the slightest changes as per the business need. The LCD is used for the signage for better display. This kind of poster saves the place. This is an advantage for most businesses are they prefer to limit the space allocation.

Freestanding display: Free-standing digital signage is placed on the floor. These kinds of displays are fixed in the place where more people are commonly visited. Because it gets the more attention of the people. It may also be used as touching the screen to change the slide or page.

Ceiling mounted digital signage: ceiling-mounted digital signage is placed in the ceiling. This kind of display may not get the attention of the people. If there no one is getting benefits from the digital display then there is no need for preferring ceiling-mounted digital signage. No one pays attention to the ceiling. If the information or direction signs are placed in the ceiling display people may not get to know about the information. Ceiling-mounted digital displays are not highly preferable for businesses.

Outdoor Digital signage: Outdoor digital signage is tough to install. As it is planned to play outside they need to be protected from water and weather. Outdoor digital signage creates the chance of increasing sales rate as it gets more attention from potential customers.

Indoor digital signage: In indoor digital signage, the business person can display it at their convenience, such as video, social media streams, etc. This signage is useful for businesses to convey their message about their products, services, and offers. apart from these reasons indoor signage has a few other advantages. so it is considered to be the most preferable digital signage.

Digital menu: digital signages are highly used for promotional purposes. Displaying the menu in digital form may help you give an impressive look for your business and also digital signage is most watchable in the current trend.

Digital signage is the most effective way for marketing and promotional purpose. All the above types of signages are seen everywhere nowadays. It is changing with the trend which is updating every single day.

Costa Rican Government Completes Purchase of Electric Trains from Chinese Company

The Costa Rican Train Institute (INCOFER) announced today that they have already approved the purchase of 8 new trains from the factory, CRRC Quingdao Sigang Co., Ltd. company that was awarded the bid. The awarding was carried out under the figure of successive direct negotiation, in accordance to Article 19 of the Special Regimen Regulation of Administrative Contracting, Law 9366. These trains, equipped with the latest technology, have two Diesel Multiple Units¨ (DMU) each, and will be manufactured according to the specif technical requirements incorporated by INCOFER in the process of contracting. Way finding research

“Wayfinding is a problem solving process. The basic problem is to find a way from one location to another” - Wayshowing wayfinding

“Good wayshowing design is user-led. It builds on a deep understanding of how we find our eay in built or natural enniroments” - Wayshowing Wayfinding

As navigation is fundamental in everyday life and Wayfinding is found within a variety of our environments to contribute to our navigation. It is classed as an “information systems” that guides a person to have a better understanding and experience of a space, most commonly these information systems are in the form of signage.

Information signs, directional signs, identification signs and warning signs are four of the most significant examples of signs used within wayfinding and as within these signs, sigange design should “Be consistent in typography, type height, icons, grid design, color and material choice. The signs needs to be straight forward designed and in a consistent order to wayfinding scheme, always use the same order of displaying the information.”

Wayfinding and their siganage systems are influenced by how we interpret our environment, we do this through Landmarks, orientation and navigation. effective wayfinding will help create a sense of saftey and security.

For my understanding: “Orientation [...] is an ordering concept of human consciousness which guides decision-making and actions” - p10 Signage spatial orientation

These wayfinding / signage systems follow three characteristics:

Do not make them think (comprehensive, clear, consistent, consise message)

Show only what is needed (relevant to space/ location)

Remove excessive information (unnecessary, clear)
