Puppy Love in the Desert by PR Shelb

Summary: 

After giving Grogu and the little Ralts to the Jedi and his Pokémon companion, Din tries to figure out where he and his team can go now. The Tribe is no more, his mission is finished, but he remembers someone telling him he has a home on Tatooine.Cobb notices his Lycanroc moping around a lot more than usual. But then again, he has been feeling the same way ever since Mando left. Maybe he and his four-legged partner aren’t so different after all.

(or Din and Cobb crossing paths again and reminiscing on the state of their relationship and how it even started before finally getting together.)

It has been just over a decade since Cobb Vanth was last in the little Montana town of Mos Pelgo. But with an abrupt retirement from the National Hockey League, he finds himself back home and starting all over again. Most importantly with the love of his life he had left behind.

Cobb Vanth was born with a gift. He could see things people couldn't. He dreamt of things that have yet to happen.

One rainy night he finds a man that he's been dreaming of and a baby soaking wet at his front door. When Cobb invites them in he unknowingly invites a new form of strangeness into his life that night.

This was seriously one of the most fun pieces of art I've ever made: blending Lovecraftian horror and Star Wars into a 1940s period setting. Made with markers (alcohol and oil).

Hexedmaiden wove a WONDERFULLY dark story that is perfect for Halloween weekend, complete with creeping dread, eldrich horror, great fusion between Lovecraft and The Mandalorian, and--of course--delicious Din/Cobb romance.

I got to work with the amazing @intricatecakes, who wrote Devil at the Crossroads for it

I, on the other hand, got to illustrate for this piece! Originally I only wanted to do a single art piece but I really couldn’t pick a favorite scene so I did three.

Read the fic and you’ll understand why, it’s glorious.

Cobb owns a 24-hour diner. Din has a 24-hour schedule.

Cobb's not sure how to reconcile the hard-eyed regular with the grubby mechanic who dotes on his kid. Din doesn't know how to take being offered free coffee and being bullied into first aid. They work it out - eventually.

Summary: The sheets are still body warm when Din lifts them and slides in between them, pressing himself against Cobb’s side. Cobb lifts an arm without thinking, giving Din space to press in close without even stirring from sleep. As natural as breathing. Din feels like he might shatter into a million pieces.
