so it’s no secret that digimon tri has me pissed off and salty. i really wanted to give it a try (lol), and loved the first two movies pretty thoroughly. but the third movie has me wanting to throw up in rage, and just hoping that they can gather the pieces of this story and make it work in the last three movies. there’s good pieces there! such great potential! but i don’t fucking trust you, toei.

so i’m making cookies to celebrate. but after i watch it. why? because these cookies are going to suck asshole.

i’ll be using this recipe[x]. but for each thing that happens on my ‘bingo’ chart, i will be replacing ingredients. so here we go!

actually an interview with the tri cast said that there are no (romantic)relationships between them so far. so neither sorato, taiora or tayama are a thing. and sorato arn't acting really couply here while in 02 they were very open about their relationship. but each is free to read into the movie as they see fit, of course! XD and jyou also touched Sora's shoulder in shoushitsu and he and Mimi arrived together in movie 3 and we know he has a gf. yeah, tri. is rife with teasing, but 0 confirmed.

Yes the Jyoumi shipper in me kinda flipped when I noticed that while creating the post. But I left it out because disproving pairings wasn't the point of my post. Digimon, especially Tri, makes it pretty easy to both prove or refute any couple. Tri is full of shipping fuel for virtually every pairing, so yeah if I wanted to I could disprove Sorato, Meichi and Koumi pretty easily but let's say that there is just a gut feeling I have that is also coming into play. And the whole point of my post was more to say that if a creator intends to make something canon they should put a decent amount of effort into making us root for them. Also I never trust the words of the creators in interviews because they always have their own agenda and it often benefits them to lie to keep us guessing or hoping.

So first of all, Evil Ryo wouldn’t be too different from Good Ryo.

So besides all of that, which is what I consider the core of the Ryo character, here are a few of the major changes to Ryo when he’s not a Backup Savior/Token Soldier Boy of the Digital World

Mille would have him ditch the red sweater that he’s been wearing for literal years and just patching up as needed since he’s normally poor af in my canon, but Mille would refuse to have his beloved wear anything less than the best clothes

he’d insist he’d still the same good guy he’s always been, he just found out a new, a better way to save the Digital World that doesn’t involve him having to literally kill his partner, again

protecting his partner is on par with protecting bby ken in his mind, so he’ll never raise a hand against Mille unless it’s to protect the Ichijouji Brothers and vice versa

more willing to sacrifice other digimon for his goal

get on his bad side and those smiles turn dark and the Tzar will have arrived as he straightens his back and prepares a weapon

officially, he’s known as the Digimon Tzar, but he rarely likes to call himself that, never has felt good about being above others, but he’s getting more used to it since that’s what his partner insists on

remembers every tiny slight against him or against Mille, and will seek revenge for them

actually has a Dark Spore in him, close to his heart, it allows Mille to influence his desires and makes him stronger

besides that scarring on his right arm, there’s not a scratch on Ryo because Mille uses his powers over time a lot to ensure his human is in peak condition

he’s  d o n e  fighting someone else’s war for no profit, and will not be very happy if he even has to be in the vicinity of Gennai and the Four Harmonius Ones

TRI SHOUSHITSU SPOILER: tbh he’d happily cause that reboot if it meant he could get rid of the Harmonious Ones and have a happy little rookie of his partner, unhurt by everything that happened

Just three episodes into Digimon tri: Shoushitsu, and all I can think is “what the hell”? Not in a positive way. Rant below.

- Tbh I think that the fourth part is just a mess. When the pacing was already bad before, it is especially terrible in Soushitsu. It’s so slow! It always feel as if it takes forever for something to happen.

- It’s painful to be back at zero with the Digimon-partner relationships .-. I love Sora and Biyomon, but this was really dragged on forever...

- I really shipped Sora x Yamato (though Sora x Taichi is also okay for me), but the movies really don’t make me see why the guys even like her? When did Sora become such a drag? :/

- In addition to the previous point, my guess is that this show doesn’t want to favor one pairing or the other and when there is a potential moment with Sora, it is always BOTH guys with her. That is honestly annoying! At least make it switch or something - one moment for Sora x Yamato, the next one for Sora x Taichi. But this is just weird.

- I still can’t warm up to Mei and Meicoomon. They seem too Mary-Sueish to me... too perfect somehow q_q Or in Meicoomon’s case, also a bit too whiny for my tastes.

- Things don't make sense! The attack of a Digimon doesn’t kill them, but spreads them all over the island. Okay? Since when? And how is Salomon’s attack strong enough to stop a Digimon with a higher evolution? ???? ? ??

- Meicoomon’s distortions can’t help it find Mei, but HOW CONVENIENT that is brings everyone back together when necessary.

- I guess Takeru’s injury is gone again?

- What was the point of seperating everyone and bringing them to meaningful places when zero character development was planned anyway?

- THAT LICK. WAS. REALLY. UNNECESSARY. JUST NO

Digimon Adventure tri. 4: Shoushitsu se estrenó hoy 25 de febrero en cines de Japón. 

Digimon Adventure tri. 4: Shoushitsu (Desaparición), la cuarta entrega en la serie de películas de Digimon Adventure tri., fue estrenada en cines de Japón el sábado 25 de febrero. Durante su fina, fue revelado el póster y título para la siguiente película de la película de la serie. Digimon Adventure tri. 5: Kyousei (Simbiosis) [デジモンアドベンチャーtri.第5章 (共生)] se estrenará en algún momento del 2017 en cines de Japón. 

Ai Maeda, quien dio voz a Mimi Tachikawa en las dos series originales de Anime para televisión de Digimon Adventure en 1999 y 2000, canta el tema "keep on ~tri.Version~" como tema de ending para la cuarta película.

En la historia de la cuarta película: 

Tras alboroto de Meicoomon y el Reinicio, Tai (Taichi) y los otros dejan atrás a una angustiada Meiko y se dirigen al Mundo Digital. Pero sus compañeros Digimon que han reunido parecen haber perdido la memoria. Ellos una vez más tratan de forjar nuevos lazos de amistad con sus compañeros Digimon, pero sólo Biyomon es cauteloso, diciendo a su compañera Sora no sabe nada sobre el pasado. Mientras Sora piensa normalmente en los demás, incluso antes que en sí misma, ella ahora tiene desconfianza en su corazón. Como Sora se encuentra con el corazón roto, Tai y Matt (Yamato) no pueden encontrar las palabras para ayudarla.

Un lloroso Meicoomon aparece y desaparece de nuevo. Por alguna razón, ha conservado sus recuerdos, y está en busca de Meiko. Al ver a Meicoomon, los niños elegidos deciden viajar a través del mundo digital para salvarla, pero un hombre con los Amos Oscuros a su mando se interpone en su camino.

Mientras tanto, en el mundo real, Nishijima recibe un aviso de que Himekawa ha desaparecido. Cuando él investiga, se entera de que ella ha tenido un objetivo oculto detrás de todas sus acciones hasta el momento.

Digimon Adventure tri. 3: Kokuhaku (Confesión) se estrenó el pasado 24 de septiembre en cines de Japón. La película se puso á a la venta en físico el 2 de noviembre del 2016 en Japón por un costo de 8,000 yenes en su versión Blu-ray y 7,000 yenes en su versión DVD.

La segunda película de la serie, Digimon Adventure tri. 2: Ketsui (Determinación), se estrenó el pasado 12 de marzo en cines de Japón. La primera película, Digimon Adventure tri. 1: Saikai (Reunión), se estreno en cines de Japón el 21 de noviembre del 2015.
