do you have any advice for someone with gender identity ocd? :(
i can’t trust myself anymore to know what pronouns i like or what clothes i like or what i want for my body… the dissociation is getting bad :(
Hey anon,
OCD can be very stressful. It's important to recognize that Gender Identity OCD is, at its foundation, OCD. It doesn't revolve around your gender, but your cognitive inability to deal with uncertainty. Thus, it can and should be helped with OCD support, as opposed to gender identity support. Focusing so much on the questioning aspect of your gender is what your OCD is fixating on. I would encourage you to directly challenge that. Here are some different support resources for OCD that might help you.
This is a site called OCD Challenge. It is one of my favorite resources for OCD.
This here is a list of OCD Related books and workbooks you might find helpful. Particularly the Self Help category.
The NOCD has many resources and blog posts with information, as well as tips for managing OCD.
Not Alone Notes is an organization that connects people with OCD and aims to bring support and end stigma. There is also a list of resources on their website you may find helpful.
OCD Gamechangers is an organization that helps provide professional help, resources, and other support to people with OCD.
OCD UK has some resources that go over different kinds of professional help and things that could reduce the weight of OCD.
If you haven't, I would highly suggest ERP therapy, which is a type of CBT especially for OCD. It could help you immensely.
I hope some of these help, anon.

aita for making a thread on twt against an ex online teammate?
cw: suicide baiting, mentions of grooming, possible sexting, transphobia, mentions of NSFW but no outright specifics
i (15 f) had this friend, who well call aj (fake name) (18-19 ftm i believe) back in october of last year. for context we met in a quick match when i was 14 and he was 17-18 in a video game where i also met another friend, moto (fake alias) (14 f at the time, now 15). after a few matches where we would be randomly matched together he sent me the invite to his discord server and i joined. eventually as more people joined the server (at most there were 20 or more people in the server before its deletion, most of which were minors and we were around her 'adult' friends who were anywhere from 18-30)
we would talk alot (and aj would insert herself into any conversation possible) but we would eventually have our disagreements which would end with aj threatening to kill himself, eventually this became the norm and we stopped giving a shit when he would threaten to kill himself because of how frequently he threatened it (kind of like a cry wolf situation)
around the time we stopped caring about his suicide baiting he switched tatics and tried to guilt trip us into apologizing to him for questioning her behavior (e.x. using the fact that he was neurodivergent, to elaborate someone would say "hey stop saying your going to kill yourself" and he would go "its something called a brain problem" or "i dont have pills to help me", basically blamed all of his actions on his alleged 'brain problem'). we still proceeded to not care because of how frequently he lied
on top of this, he had this streak of calling asian characters within the game feminine? a specific case (and the straw that broke the camels back for alot of my teammates) was when she called a well-loved chinese character from the game something along the lines of a femboy because they wore a traditional chinese outfit that was not "manly" (basically, didnt stop where a normal shirt stopped. im not sure what it was called and google didnt really help...) during the same time, aj identified as transgender (i believe he still does, but i no longer interact with him) and said trans women werent women because they dont get periods???
on top of this, he would also publicly do nsfw things with the adults of the server (none of the chats were role restricted. this wasnt a thing until i became a server admin and then shut it down not even 3 weeks later) and would also share nsfw/18+ topics in the server. even after the "nsfw" chat was there (we were still figuring out how to restrict it [i was coming back from a 2 year internet hiatus]) the other adults still did things along the lines of erp. aj encouraged this behavior and eventually in his new server and was talking about these things with minors (aj is about 19-20)
so after a few months of off-and-on gathering evidence (what you have just read + plus screenshots) from numerous people from his server i post the thread, and almost instantly it got posted to his server. i have a friend in that server who ended up voice chatting with him and moto (who is under a different alias in the server) and aj is literally sobbing, threatening to kill himself, and has his entire family in his room who are all looking at the thread as well. they all basically say that he doesnt look too good in the screenshots and "what were you thinking talking to these people" type of situation. aj ends up deleting the server a few days later, messages undercover-moto that he isnt making anymore servers.
im wondering if i went too far? aita?
What are these acronyms?

Hello friends, I know this post is different from what I normally post but I think it is very important to set some boundaries for this blog. I will be speaking as myself, the creator of the blog, and not as DogDay Says.
First things first, I want to make it very clear that this blog isn't meant to be for roleplay. My goal for this blog is just to spread some positive messages to anyone who comes across them. I have been seeing a lot of people in my inbox saying things such as "Rubs DogDay's belly" or things similar and I want to say, I am NOT comfortable with any of that. I am not the actual character and I am not comfortable with people treating me like I'm an actual dog. I do not mind if people call me DogDay, but please do not act like I am a dog. Thank you.
Another thing I'd like to mention is I do not allow NSFW of any kind in this blog. I have had people in my inbox send me inappropriate messages alluding to NSFW acts and ERP. This blog is meant to be sort of a family friendly blog, it is meant to be for everyone. This blog is NOT meant for NSFW or ERP in anyway.
This does not mean I don't want people interacting with this blog but my only request is that everyone respects my boundaries moving forward. If stuff like this continues I will no longer accept inbox messages. Thank you all for your time.

Hello, I am going to discuss my thoughts on content/trigger warnings as someone living with OCD. I am absolutely open to good faith engagement and discussion on this topic.
Having some thoughts on the idea that adding trigger warnings somehow ultimately harms the person with the trigger. They absolutely can create an easy tool to obsessively control your access to the topics/to avoid them, but I’ve always felt it should be the potentially triggered person’s decision on what they were ready to do about it. Uncontrolled exposure is just as capable of causing obsession as is avoidance, in my opinion.
I think of the (terrible telephone retelling of a) case I heard about while discovering recounts of actual lived experiences with OCD.
—The following example discusses intrusive thoughts about domestic violence.—
A woman had an obsession with being was afraid of hitting her boyfriend. Her compulsion was that she would have to hold her arms stiffly by her side. She recognized this as OCD and sought exposure response prevention. Her therapist told her to try and ignore the compulsion, or potentially do the opposite. The woman became so obsessed with healing she forced herself to keep her hands away from her sides (almost obsessively) and constantly checked whether or not she “still wanted to hit him.” In the end, the ERP just became entangled with her obsessions.
It takes so much strength to face these types of problems and practice the mindfulness and grace with yourself to recognize it. It’s something you really need to be ready for because it’s going to take a lot of effort to do the hard thing when the easy thing is right there.
How can we claim it’s best to “force” exposure on someone else? How can we go around vigilante therapising people we have deemed too ill to do it on their own (or just be left alone)?
This is not to say that anyone is bad if they can’t or don’t want to tag things. More just my thoughts about how pushback against that idea can swing too hard into trying to prove not tagging was morality correct.
Some articles that articulate so much of my experience with OCD:
Having No Cure for OCD Is the Cure
Help! I Have OCD About What’s OCD
In the spirit of bodily autonomy, I think we all deserve agency in our lives no matter how “incompetent” other people may think we are. When you’re ready, you’re ready. There’s no healing to be had sitting around thinking you’re broken or lazy or whatever for not being ready to change. We all owe each other the kindness to do what we can in good faith, too.
I started doing too much table setting in the tags, so I’ll put it under a read more, lol.
I recognize that this isn’t very radically (in the abolition vs reform sense) anti-psychiatry, and I do have a complicated relationship with that idea. I recognize that I have a good deal of privilege (particularly among people with more stigmatized/less understood “disorders”) but this framework is the only one I’ve ever been able to access that gives me any insight into myself at all. That isn’t something everyone can afford to do in several senses.
As a physically disabled person, I just connect my experiences with chronic illness and mental illness (which I think can fall under the umbrella of chronic on its own) more and more these days. What truly was the difference between not being able to do something out of pain versus anxiety? Our brains are organs, too. Our thoughts are chemical and hormonal, too.
One of the fondest memories I have of coming to terms with disability was explaining my experience with an autoimmune condition to a bipolar friend, and he replied that we were “chronic illness buddies.” And I felt so understood as someone who has suffered with various types of anxieties for their entire waking life.

Thanks @celinou & @momochizoey for tagging me 🤍
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
I've got 4 works total.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
73,030 words.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Seeing as how I only have 4 works, I'll just mention the fic with the most kudos - my Wenclair fic "At the End of One's Woe" with 760 kudos.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! I love it when writers respond to my comments (as inane as they are), so I thought I should do the same.
Not only that, but sometimes I'll reply to a comment when there's a new chapter of that work just to kind of nudge them to read it.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
"To Know Yourself."
It's a Chasefield fic and it's the first thing I started writing when I got back into the fanfic space. It's currently sitting at 6 chapters unfinished, but where I left it off is probably the angstiest thing I've explored publicly on my account.
32,000 words, and the poor girls don't even like each other yet.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Either the aforementioned Wenclair fic or my Chasefield smutfic "One and Then the Other." I mean, what's a happier ending then getting to bang the girl you like?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've not.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes!
I was very nervous to publish that first smutfic, but I wasn't a stranger to writing things of an explicit nature.
I used to ERP on Gaia ALL THE TIME when I was younger, but it definitely was a different thing to write stuff like that and know it would be going out for everyone to see.
But I had a blast writing it and I don't see myself straying away from smut anytime soon. The only thing I don't like is how I find it very difficult to write smut without tons of preamble beforehand, so that's kind of the one thing holding me back.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written?
I've not.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I've not, though I wouldn't be against it.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've not, just the casual headcanon talks with friends and mutuals.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
I love all the Life is Strange ships, but Chasefield holds a very special place in my heart for getting me back into fandom/fanfic as a whole.
Wenclair is also up there - it was very fun to write for an active/ongoing fandom and it was kind of crazy to see how different the response was in that.
For ships that I love, but haven't written for, I'm enamored with Ava/Beatrice from Warrior Nun and Kara/Lena from CW's Supergirl.
I do think a lot of that is that those characters and stories are closer to where I am in age/place in life, while Life is Strange/Wednesday occupies a place where I reminisce on highschool didn'ts and wish-I-would'ves.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
There's a part of me where I see myself never finishing "To Know Yourself." I had originally planned it to be this 30+ chapter thing that takes place over the entire school year, and though I do have an outline of that, it's a huge prospect - especially seeing as how I do have other stories outlined in the LiS world that are significantly shorter.
I do think about it and go back to it, but it's a reality that's possible for sure.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
It's cool if it works. It's all relative on the perspective of the story and whether we are supposed to know what's being said and stuff.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
My first fandom was Inu-yasha and I was writing Sesshomaru/Miroku slashfics on fanfiction.net.
So yeah. I'm old.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
"A Common Cold."
I wrote this fic for a mutual who was sick at the time and it was because of this that we became friends. She's actually one of the people that tagged me to do this, so here's to you Zoey!!
I'll tag @dmmeeble, @fazedlight, and @daisychainsandbowties for this, but if you're scrolling down, see this, and hankering to do this as well, go for it!

Why are we obsessed with others? I'm not talking about pedoshire or THAT kind of stuff. I'm talking about people who just approach RP differently? WHO CARES if xyz person is known for ERP? How does it affect you? WHO CARES if the Horde likes to RP this way and the Alliance likes to RP that way? WHO THE HELL CARES? Let people pay their 15 dollars, spend it how they want, and play how they want. RPers are just as bad as hardcore raiders trying to tell people how to run their online lives.

10 Ways ChatGPT Can Improve Your Productivity
Tumblr media
An innovative artificial intelligence application called ChatGPT was created to increase workplace productivity. It can revolutionize various activities and obstacles thanks to its vast training in diversified information and human-like communication abilities.
You may automate monotonous processes with ChatGPT, saving you time and alleviating tension. Its context comprehension allows it to produce intelligent responses that seem natural, simplifying communication and improving data analysis and decision-making procedures. It can expedite project management, enhance customer service, personalize training and development, and encourage innovation and brainstorming sessions. ChatGPT is helpful for coding, content creation, document creation, and editing. It is an essential tool for streamlining processes and increasing general productivity because of its flexibility and adaptability.
To get the most out of ChatGPT, broaden your knowledge and experience in conversational agents and chatbots. You can become more knowledgeable and adept with ChatGPT by gaining knowledge in ChatGPT certification, chatbot training, certified chatbot expert status, AI chatbot competence, or chatbot engineer abilities. It may present fresh chances for you to perform more productively.
Given the increasing prevalence of chatbots and conversational agents in various businesses and areas, these abilities are highly valued in today's labor market. Using ChatGPT to its full potential and gaining these applicable credentials will help you become more productive at work. Your efficiency and knowledge can also make an impression on clients and coworkers.
This post will go over ten ways ChatGPT can significantly increase your productivity, regardless of your job: data analyst, creative marketer, or busy executive. You'll be able to demonstrate your efficacy and proficiency while achieving more in less time by putting these recommendations into practice.
1.Automate Routine Operations
The load of tedious, repeated duties that take up significant time and energy is among the most common obstacles to productivity. These duties include answering often-asked inquiries, scheduling meetings, filling out paperwork, keeping track of documents, and reminding people to do things.
Thankfully, ChatGPT provides an answer by making it possible to automate these kinds of jobs by building intelligent chatbots. Chatbots are computer programs that converse with users by text or voice, providing help information or taking actions in response to input from the user.
You can easily create chatbots with ChatGPT for various platforms and uses. For example, you can make a chatbot to respond to customer inquiries on your website or social media pages. You may build a chatbot that can effectively set up email or calendar appointments. You can set up a chatbot to automatically fill out forms or update data in your ERP or CRM system.
2. Simplify Interaction
An essential component of any successful business is effective communication. Conversely, it can cause confusion and distraction if not managed appropriately. Coordinating many lines of communication—like emails, phone conversations, instant messages, and video chats—can be difficult while corresponding with different people, including partners, suppliers, clients, and coworkers.
Various useful communication tools are available from ChatGPT to help you be more productive and efficient. It may condense multiple documents, including emails, reports, meeting notes, and articles, highlighting essential ideas and takeaways for simple reading. You can trust ChatGPT to write emails according to your templates or prompts, ensuring correct language, spelling, tone, and clarity. ChatGPT can quickly translate written materials into other languages, transcribe audio or video files, and more. It can also convert speech to text or generate speech based on input. Additionally, ChatGPT can assist you in creating expert presentations using data or outlines, and it can even improve them with animations and voice-overs. ChatGPT revolutionizes your conversation experience with these clever features.
 3. Improve Your Ability to Analyze and Make Decisions
Since data is the lifeblood of any organization, businesses must analyze their data and make decisions based on it. However, this work can become challenging when dealing with large amounts of data from many sources and formats. Complex issues frequently develop that necessitate considering several variables and standards.
ChatGPT makes it simple to ask questions about data and get responses in plain English, facilitating conversation. It also helps with data visualization by creating aesthetically pleasing tables, charts, graphs, and maps using your supply data. Regarding data analysis, ChatGPT is excellent at finding patterns, trends, outliers, correlations, or anomalies. This allows it to provide insightful analysis and recommendations. With ChatGPT, you can compare data according to many criteria, which makes it easier to evaluate possibilities and create well-informed lists of pros and disadvantages. ChatGPT's predictive features enable it to develop and test hypotheses and predict outcomes and scenarios based on your data.
4. Customize Education and Training
Any organization that wants to increase its performance, productivity, knowledge, and skills must prioritize training and development. However, if these procedures are carried out correctly, their efficacy may be protected, leading to expensive and time-consuming outcomes. The problem of coping with cliched or out-of-date courses, resources, or approaches that might not suit each student's interests or preferences must be addressed.
Bright, individualized learning solutions are available from ChatGPT and cater to your unique requirements. It offers progress tracking and insightful feedback in addition to helping create personalized learning paths that align with your objectives, interests, abilities, and competence level. Interactive tests, quizzes, exercises, and assignments tailored to your learning goals and subject matter can be created with ChatGPT. It goes one step further by verifying your responses and providing thorough justifications.
ChatGPT generates summaries, notes, flashcards, or cheat sheets based on your learning materials or sources to help you retain the information you've learned. It can even produce mnemonics, acronyms, or analogies to improve memory retention. Additionally, ChatGPT facilitates comprehension and application by creating scenarios, stories, case studies, and examples. It also provides challenging questions or tasks to evaluate your understanding and practical abilities.
5. Boost Client Support
Any firm must be able to draw in, keep, and please consumers while building its brand and income. It draws attention to how vital customer service is. Providing excellent customer service may be easy, but if not done correctly, it is manageable. Handling consumer requests, complaints, and comments across multiple channels and platforms can take a lot of work. It's frequently essential to handle delicate or complicated circumstances that demand tact and sensitivity.
ChatGPT provides witty and approachable customer service solutions. It makes it possible to develop chatbots that can effectively handle customer requests, complaints, and comments via various platforms and channels. Customers can receive customized information, advice, recommendations, or solutions from these chatbots according to their needs and preferences. Additionally, ChatGPT improves customer relations by producing replies that correspond with users' messages or emotions. It also guarantees that accuracy, clarity, tone, and politeness are maintained. Creating scripts or templates for various scenarios or situations and providing advice and best practices for efficient communication make customer service discussions more seamless.
ChatGPT enables companies to obtain insightful data by creating surveys or reviews based on their customers' experiences or input. Creating incentives or awards based on loyalty or general contentment even helps promote customer involvement and satisfaction.
6. Simplify the Management of Projects
Any firm must successfully plan, carry out, oversee, manage, and close down projects, emphasizing project management's significance. Project management mistakes can result in excessive demands and complexity. Managing various activities, resources, stakeholders, risks, problems, adjustments, and deadlines is frequently necessary.
Project management becomes streamlined effortlessly because of ChatGPT's sophisticated features. Creating project plans based on your goals, scope, budget, timetable, and quality streamlines the procedure and guarantees a thorough and well-organized method. It makes effective progress tracking possible by giving reports and real-time updates on the project's state. Task and role delegation is streamlined thanks to ChatGPT, which helps allocate team members according to their availability and skill sets.
It also keeps track of each member's performance and provides insightful feedback. Because ChatGPT facilitates accessible communication with team members and stakeholders across several channels and platforms, effective communication is also improved. It makes meetings and conversations run more smoothly while capturing minutes and action items for comprehensive documentation.
The risk and problem management features of ChatGPT enable the early detection and effective remediation of possible project roadblocks. It also helps with conflict resolution and change implementation that may come up during the project.
7. Boost Originality and Idea Generation
Any business must be able to come up with new ideas, solve problems, innovate, and improve its offerings, which emphasizes the value of creativity and brainstorming. Nevertheless, difficulties and annoyances may arise from these methods' poor use. Successful creativity and brainstorming sessions require addressing typical challenges, including breaking through mental hurdles, finding inspiration, and avoiding groupthink.
ChatGPT offers clever and entertaining ways to spark your imagination, which can help you improve creativity and brainstorming. It is excellent at producing ideas in response to your prompts or keywords, assisting you in exploring novel avenues, or honing already-existing notions. Producing striking illustrations, scenarios, case studies, or narratives sparked by your thoughts or concepts facilitates the creative process. To evaluate the viability and potential of your ideas, it might also produce challenging or thought-provoking questions. ChatGPT inspires creativity by creating catchy headlines, slogans, names, titles, or logos that complement your ideas. Moreover, ChatGPT can produce code for you based on your conceptions or ideas.
8. Boost the Creation and Editing of Documents
Any organization must be able to communicate messages, information, or data effectively and professionally, which highlights the significance of creating and updating documents. These chores must be carried out correctly to avoid becoming tiresome and time-consuming. Successful document development and editing processes often require addressing formatting issues, fixing grammatical and spelling faults, and preventing plagiarism.
By giving you clever and straightforward ways to generate and edit documents, ChatGPT can help you enhance document creation and editing. It is excellent at creating documents using templates or prompts, providing an easy place to start when developing material. It acts as a competent editor, quickly adding your comments or recommendations to improve your writing.
Verifying grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, clarity, and accuracy guarantees the caliber of your work. Furthermore, ChatGPT recommends enhancements or modifications to polish your texts further. By giving you document summaries specific to your needs or target audience, it also helps to condense material. ChatGPT can rewrite or paraphrase your texts to conform to your desired style and tone. It helps with precise source citation generation according to your chosen format or style and helps with proper citation formatting. ChatGPT can examine your documents for plagiarism, guaranteeing their uniqueness and integrity.
9. Produce Code and Content
Any organization needs to create value, engage customers, foster trust, and spur growth; these are just a few reasons that content and code are essential. However, creating content and code can be demanding and complex if done incorrectly. Significant hurdles that must be overcome to create text and code successfully include writer's block, gaining sufficient information, and fixing coding errors.
ChatGPT can assist you in producing code and content by giving you quick and easy methods. It helps you quickly generate optimized SEO, readability, or engagement content while adhering to your preferred topic, keyword, or structure. ChatGPT does best by customizing code snippets to your favorite language, framework, or function. It can also help with debugging and rewriting already-written code. Producing code and content based on your input or data ensures smooth integration and increases productivity. It also makes data or input to support your code or content.
10. Enhance Your Process
Increasing productivity, increasing efficiency, and streamlining procedures are critical for any firm, which emphasizes the significance of workflow optimization. However, workflow optimization can be difficult and time-consuming if done incorrectly. Successful process optimization requires addressing common obstacles such as bottlenecks, delays, errors, and waste.
By giving you clever and easy methods to handle your work, ChatGPT can help you maximize your workflow. It helps create workflows specific to your objectives, assignments, and resource availability. Additionally, ChatGPT facilitates workflow automation by creating automated procedures triggered by the rules or triggers you designate. It helps with task identification and organization according to impact, priority, or urgency. It also makes delegating easier by recommending team members who are qualified and available for particular tasks.
ChatGPT also makes tracking work based on predefined metrics or indicators easy, facilitating progress monitoring. It facilitates assessing work about predetermined benchmarks or standards. ChatGPT provides insightful analysis and recommendations to enhance the quality of your work by utilizing your feedback and suggestions. To improve performance in the future, it also makes continuous learning easier by evaluating results and outcomes.
Utilize ChatGPT More Effectively and Efficiently by Acquiring New Certifications and Skills
ChatGPT is a highly adaptable tool with great potential to increase efficiency at work. Nevertheless, it can be helpful to obtain extra knowledge and certifications about chatbots and conversational agents to utilize their potential and optimize productivity fully.
Competence in chatGPT certification, chatbot engineering, certified chatbot knowledge, chatbot training, and AI chatbot knowledge are highly valued in today's industry. These abilities are in great demand due to chatbots' growing popularity and usefulness across a wide range of companies and domains.
There are lots of internet tools accessible to help you get these certifications and abilities. yeah i have ocd too and ive been reading your posts + the ask you answered and man i really really feel it. i was in erp for about two years steady, and i was genuinely able to overcome a few of my less severe obsessions that way, to a large amount of relief. but for my most severe thing, a (very visible, facially) brfb obsession/compulsion that has caused me so much strife and social anxiety for years, i got next to nowhere. even when i would manage to go a handful of days without doing it, i would inevitably lapse - and then feel like absolute shit about it, because i felt like i wasn’t strong enough to win this battle i’d been told i’m fighting. since i have some overlapping perfectionism issues, this cycle was just brutal for my self esteem. then my regular erp therapist retired, and ive been meaning to get back into it but the thought just.. exhausts me. but then i also keep brfb-ing myself and still need help with that. but then erp wasn’t really working on it anyway… it’s really left me feeling like i don’t know what to do. so on the one hand i fully agree with what youre saying about how erp is not necessarily the answer to every o/c and that reassurance is not the Worst Imaginable Thing to offer a person with ocd, but unlike some other compulsions that im sure could be lived with, the thought of going through my whole life doing what i do is… hard lol. socially, mentally, physically hard. anyway i dont mean to just vent at you.. i guess my point is that yeah its just so so so frustrating that erp and fighter mentality is treated as kind of the be all end all solution for ocd right now.
like not to sound like a baby but. im not looking for a fight, im looking for help!! and yeah “only i can save me” or whatever but it feels like ocd is kind of underrepresented in the world of mental illnesses that are/can be utterly debilitating. because its nuts that there is kind of no other treatment suggestion for who are really suffering and simply arent - for whatever reason, temporarily or otherwise - the vigilant mentally tough fighters erp recovery models want us to be. and i dont even mean that in a defeatist or deprecating way, i mean like.. sometimes your ocd makes you depressed! and then, what with the depression and all, you just don’t have it in you for what erp demands. im not a psychologist or anything but man there’s gotta be a better a way
I really relate to and empathize with what you’re saying. I also struggle with a BFRB where I pick at my face and other very visible spots on my body, which increases my already-substantial social anxiety. It is an absolutely brutal cycle for self-esteem, including how you feel “defeated” by not being “strong enough” to be a “OCD fighter.” This is another reason why I don’t like the fight(er) framing around OCD; it makes those who don’t respond to ERP in the prescribed way feel like they have failed, rather than there being a morally-neutral mismatch between the treatment and the individual.
I do want to ensure we don’t fall into the misconception that critiquing ERP or other “gold standard” treatments for OCD means that the only other option is to learn to live with OCD without attempting to alleviate our suffering or cut back on our compulsive rituals. I have tried, as I’m sure you have, a great many things to try and stop myself from picking (badly) at my face: countless fidget toys, thick press-on nails, NAC pills, pimple patches and hydrocolloid band-aids, reducing my anxiety levels, avoiding mirrors, etc. I doubt I will ever completely eliminate my urge to pick, but I can pick and choose (ha) from what treatments, therapies, and means of harm reduction I find most effective in combination with each other. I can try lots of different things and see what works for me and what doesn’t. And this approach — going in with the assumption that many things won’t work for me, and some will, and neither of those results is a moral reflection of how hard I’m “fighting OCD” — allows me to have a more compassionate and forgiving relationship to myself and my picking.
You really nail my own feelings when you say “I’m not looking for a fight, I’m looking for help.” This framing of requiring mad/mentally ill people to be “fighters” in order to receive help/treatment is extremely counterintuitive for those of us too depressed to muster up the energy to “fight.” One of the reasons I stopped structured ERP was because I was too depressed to get out of bed, let alone go out into the world and do daily exposures. Like most of the mental health treatment industry, this treatment is not structured for people seriously struggling in more than one area, despite the fact that most people do.
I agree that there has to be a better way to treat/heal from/live with OCD than the limited options we’re given now, and I believe that creating these “better ways” starts with conversations like this one: talking, sharing, and brainstorming with other mad people and forging new ways of relating to each other and ourselves. I sincerely hope that you’re able to hold compassion for yourself, regardless of whether you “lapse” in picking, and that you’re able to access means of treatment that work best for you as an individual. This is an extremely difficult thing to live with, but thankfully, we don’t have to live with it alone — there is a community ready to commiserate and create with you, regardless of how “successful” you are at “fighting” OCD.

Are your current requests full?, also another question, why don't you like x reader? (I personally don't like it myself too). (Also yeah screw yandere Dev)
Uhh nope, I have 4 atm, I just got a stomach bug and have been too tired to work on requests. I’ll get back to them soon.
As for why I don’t like x reader, it’s just personally not for me. Thing is, while I have nothing against self shipping, for me they tend to feel more like unrelated sexual or romantic fantasies put awkwardly onto the characters because we by definition do not fit into their world and would all act differently in those situations. It’s like.. I see it as coming off way too streamlined to feel like proper fanfic, with the intention of portraying a pre-created sexual or romantic fantasy intended for any reader’s projection. And the idea of writing that kind of scenario for another person makes me very uncomfortable for reasons I can’t really articulate (best I can give is it feels like. Flirting? Like erp? Even when it’s not erotic)
(Also yeah screw yanderedev)

The Break's Over, and So's My Vibrator? 😣
Hey, y'all! I'm officially back from my vacay, my break, my rest and rejuvenation~ It was a good one, I enjoyed being untethered for a bit, and it's something I might try again in the future 👀
Some Updates:
🌲 Later This Month, I'll be officially putting up commissions and rates! "But for what?" you ask. Well, I have a few ideas, and I'll be starting out slow at first, but you'll be able to commission me for:
-Erotica/smut stories
-Mantras or a new kinky tumblr post
-Personalized real-time sexting/text roleplay scenarios
-Exclusive audios of my reaction to a Spiral sent to me (averaging 7-10 min)
-Reserved sessions to play with my mind
And others! If you have an idea for something you'd like to commission, go ahead and send it to me! ^-^
🌲So I got home from my break, only to discover that my vibrator isn't charging how it used to 🥺 My beloved vibrator that I'm low-key addicted to, that I clean and take care of so well, might be on its way out and I'm so fucking sad 😣 If anyone has suggestions for what kind I should get next, lemme know 😭
🌲My Birthday is this month! I'm not going to give more details than that, but I might be a little intermittent at points during the month as I celebrate IRL with different people. I'm the kind of guy who grew up with birthdays that always went poorly, so I'm excited that this time around, it's going to actually be fun!
Anyway, I think that's it for my updates. I missed all of you, and I'm glad to be back! 💚

can minors be groomers. idk. i said i didn’t know anything abt sex and he said he’d teach me and was my first boyfriend ever. i was 12 i told him i wasn’t feeling anything when we’d erp over text and that i was uncomfortable and he told me i don’t have to feel anything and just have to go along with it for him? i feel like it was ok because he wasn’t that much older than me and because i dated him again after and knew him for such a long time all my friends still know him as my ex. the second time we dated he yelled at me for responding to him saying he’s horny with a joke instead of reciprocating. i was just kind of his doll. i feel like this is all just me making a huge deal out of just an unhealthy teenage relationship. he told me it wasn’t a big deal. some people ended their friendship with me and harassed me for dating him while nobody harassed him. i feel so weird. and i’m scared he’ll read this and know it’s about him. i just feel so weird sorry i don’t talk about this a lot
Yes one can be groomed by another minor and that goes under Child-on-Child-Sexual-Abuse (COCSA). We were also groomed by another minor. You are not alone and you are valid. We were also 12 when we were groomed and he was 16. I don’t know what the age difference was for you but that doesn’t really matter actually.
