To him he feels as if no one would want to learn about a Sniper who has studied combat to a degree, but the fact that Esmeray is interested in him.. tells him how much he can trust her....

I am grateful that he does not think ill of my ignorance, that he is my corner... That he feels I will be a competent ruler when the time comes fills me with a warmth that is hard to describe.

"If I can become someone he can be proud of knowing, by merit of my actions, then I will want nothing more." He will not talk of his feelings, knowing that it is a moot point. His affection toward the other has not changed and perhaps comes to the forefront too easily when he worries for the man's safety.

Smiling softly to himself as he took in the sweet smell of the simmering pot of congee before him , he was careful to stir it slowly . Not wanting it to rest for even a moment in order to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot and char . Moving his wooden ladle around in a circular , then a counter clockwise motion to keep all of it’s contents moving around , he spared a glance out towards the light of the morning sun as it began it’s climb up into the early morning skies . Rays of light just starting to peak over the mountains .

He still had some time left to take care of a few things before he needed to head out for the day , but on this day in particular he’d roused himself out of bed earlier than he normally would . Not because he had some special plants he needed to tend to , or because he'd made arrangements to receive deliveries in harbor by either the Adventure's Guild or the Cruz Fleet . No , not everyone was as much of an early morning bird as he tended to be but only on this day , did everyone tend to become one .

Today marked the beginning of one of the busiest seasons in Liyue for it’s merchants . It was akin to substantial review of one’s paid taxes , income , the hygiene of one’s place of business , and the quality of service provided to ensure all was up to the standards of the Liyue Qixing . It was the time of year where everyone needed to have their business licenses renewed in order to ensure that they could keep conducting business in the harbor .

Failure to renew on time meant that one could potentially be denied the chance to do business in the harbor going forwards , even worse so , losing one’s place of business altogether as spaces in the harbor were highly coveted . He’d seen businesses close up in one day , and then another take it’s place the very next .

The only recourse one would have in that situation is to hire legal experts to file appeals on their behalf , a rather costly , and time consuming process that not all could afford .

Pouring out the congee into bowls , he’d leave them covered for when his parents awoke , along with side dishes to compliment the main dish . His mother tended to favor sweet congee , so honey , and some fruits we’re left for her . His father on the other hand tended to favor more savory congee , so meats , and boiled eggs we’re left for him .

With his own breakfast quickly downed , and his papers , receipts , and records neatly bound together into one packet with dividers to separate each category along with a pouch of mora to cover the renewal fee . He slipped all of his belongings into a basket , covering it with a cloth to ensure it’s contents wouldn’t go flying after having brought in their laundry that had been left to hand outside and doing some light sweeping .  

Donning a hand woven conical hat , he began his descent down from the mountains towards the harbor . Stopping on his journey once to quickly visit his practice to ensure that all was in order for the pending inspections . He’d made sure to clean it thoroughly the night before , and had put up a sign stating that he’d be away until at least the early afternoon if all went well .

With everything still in place , he’d close his door once more , and make his way towards the ministry of civil affairs building where a line was already forming in hopes of their documents being processed quickly . Becoming longer by the minute .

The ministry had yet to officially open it’s doors but as one might imagine being early in hopes of being one of the first to be reviewed was appealing to all . A few familiar faces greeting him as he took his place behind them . Passing around a few breakfast sandwiches he’d made for them as they began to chat . All awaiting the moment in which the doors to the ministry would open , and the line would begin to move forwards ....

There was a moment of silence, and then the princess broke into a bright smile, hands in front of him and he bowed. "Hanagawa Sakura... of Makoto... my goodness I am glad to meet you!! I have heard much from Ivy about you... all good things I assure you!!" He scampered just a little closer, looking up. "I would also like to be friends... thank you for greeting me... for taking the time I know you are still on the mend, as it were..."

“Hey Witchy- what are ya doing now?” The strange blonde haired boy would ask as he peaked over Mona’s shoulder. She was already busy studying the stars at the moment when this seemingly random stranger wandered up to her and tried to strike up a conversation.

She most likely tried to avoid him, but Scribe was not one to stop and so he would annoyingly follow her throughout the day, trying to strike up a conversation!

This place…strangely it reminded him of Wutai with a few differences here and there. “This place..” He couldn’t really tell anyone how he'd even gotten here..Cloud remembered getting shot..but then after that he awoke in this rather strange place. “Inazuma..” Was what the man at the entrance called it, there were still secrets hidden beneath the shadows, secrets Cloud did not know about but was going to be a part of his life.
