And by 'a rangier lens could open some non-dog photography doors' i mean specifically we had a breeding pair of cranes on the mountain lake last summer that are very likely to return

#did you know 2 common cranes make the exact type and amount of noise you would expect of roughly #sixty miniature elephants? because i do now #we used to only see cranes passing through here. we're righttt on the edge or outside of their usual breeding range #so having a pair in my parts is super exciting for me #that same lake has loons and i believe redshanks #im saying lake. its a pond #the alternative would be getting a 70-200mm and then try to find a way to crack together both an extender and an adapter #the fact that i cant get both in a single product is ffing insane to me but w/e
