The Lovers Arcana 💟
I had an amazing time stopping by the Shin Megami Tensei photoshoot at Anime NYC last weekend. I was so excited to see someone cosplaying as Ame no Uzume! It was a pleasure meeting you, DiceKey, and I hope we run into each other at other events in the future!

Why is Epoch still using the Dice Angels and Devils after vowing not to cheat? The only reason the dungeonless dice monsters were able to stand up to the rest of the decks was because Epoch could directly influence the result of the roll and get the best results possible without getting disqualified as a direct result, and while the show tries to say that cheating will make you do worse during a duel, the fact is that the negative outcomes that arise from duels where she cheated are either because she didn’t cheat good enough(her duels against Yuhi and Manabu) or have factors outside of her control that wouldn’t be fixed by not cheating. If she doesn’t cheat, then it’s very likely that her results in duels will only plummet on average unless she decides to ditch the dice deck and switch to something with more consistency(say a series of WIND Warriors that have plenty of support after SEVENS ended and are getting support in an upcoming pack). She can’t have that much attachment to the deck, either, considering the timeframe upon which she got it is incredibly recent.
Doylist:
Shueisha and Konami want to sell Dice Key cards.
Watsonian:
She is that attached and she trusts in the relative heart of the cards as a Duelist. She likes taking risks, and she's not her descendant, Tiger.

Ep 105 was fine. (at least the first impression) Once again I had expected the worst... and it didn't happen.
Ngl, when the ep started with some Epoch flashback, I was worried that might lead to her winning the duel. (because backstory and later her finally dropping the box) But THANK GOD, the writers still let Manabu win. I can't even believe that I saw Yudias and Yuhi smiling at Manabu's turns and not just give him annoyed looks like they did in season 2. Idk if I can already take this as Manabu's gonna get treated better in season 3 or not.
But despite winning, Manabu still lets Epoch be the Captain. I had a feeling he won't get the job but him giving it up on his own will without comedy involved... I like this. It also shows that Manabu is a nice person. (no matter how many people in the fandom seem to forget/ignore that)
Something I don't really like tho is that Epoch's "real self" is too similar to Tiger now. Suddenly, her hair is as long as Tiger's with the same color (how the heck is this possible when she was shown with darker hair before) and then she even does that breathing voice thing that Tiger usually did to throw people (mostly Luke) around? Also not a fan of her outfit. It feels like it only looks the way it does so she now matches with her Dicekey girls. The Captain jacket and hat makes it a little better but still...
Btw: Epoch always had some snacks in her box and didn't think of sharing with the others??? Why? The whole drama in ep 103 could've been avoided (including the creation of CPT) if she had just shared.
Next ep gives us a new Darkmen and tbh, I thought it's gonna be Red Girl and not Green Dude. But well, Nyandestar should be able to beat him.

Modern cybersecurity, done with properly paranoid best practices, requires meeting some tough demands: Carry a physical two-factor key to plug in and authenticate yourself on a new computer, but if you lose or break that tiny piece of plastic you could be locked out of your accounts. Use different, totally unguessable passwords for every website, without repeating them or writing them down. And even if you opt for a password manager—as you should—you'll need to remember a long master password for years, or risk losing access to the rest of them.
Or you could reduce all of that complexity to a single roll of 25 dice into a plastic box. This week Stuart Schechter, a computer scientist at the University of California, Berkeley, is launching DiceKeys, a simple kit for physically generating a single super-secure key that can serve as the basis for creating all the most important passwords in your life for years or even decades to come. With little more than a plastic contraption that looks a bit like a Boggle set and an accompanying web app to scan the resulting dice roll, DiceKeys creates a highly random, mathematically unguessable key. You can then use that key to derive master passwords for password managers, as the seed to create a U2F key for two-factor authentication, or even as the secret key for cryptocurrency wallets. Perhaps most importantly, the box of dice is designed to serve as a permanent, offline key to regenerate that master password, crypto key, or U2F token if it gets lost, forgotten, or broken.
