Further in Depth with the Dancer AU 1/2

I'm going to try to take the asks I've got so far from people and what I originally came up w//for this Dancer AU (I honestly didn't think this would gain anyone's interest just like the Azushin Merman AU but yk)

This is just what I CAME UP with and there's NO limits really for how this will go, so you're free to reblog this or add//expand on this post below >>>

Portraying this out of DL's normal timeline, for the Mukamis, safe to say from the orphanage to now (In the AU)- Karlheinz's purpose to make them vampires WASN'T for the Adam Project. Changing the history of the Demon World forming just a bit, I'm going to say that the Vampire AND Vibora tribe were the BIGGEST in the Demon World, meaning they're both competing with each other (I know these clans have an agreement and are very cordial as it seems to be the case in Dark Fate, but we're just going to get rid of that for now)

The reason Karlheinz takes the Mukamis in is because he believes that new faces mean new lives, a new future will come and replace an old one. In one ask, Karlheinz takes in abandonded children and provides the proper care they need until sending off, he's the MAIN decider for who will work for him OR go to Zweig. That's the deal Zweig and Karlheinz have, and both strongly agree with it. Ruki, Kou, Yuma, and Azusa are taken in like they were in More Blood, eventually when they grew older and mature they're then decided for their role as immortal.

Of course, from the start, Karlheinz knew Yuma out of the bunch would be perfect for Zweig, the person who runs the manufacture of the Demon Worlds' soldiers. Even though Ruki has the intellgence to read a battlefield, he wouldn't go with Yuma to the vibora tribe because Zweig believes ONLY in barks, NO bites.

Even if that wasn't the case, the system goes off strength and body type, so if you're someone that's under 6'0, you're not very likely to work for Zweig. If you don't have much weight or packing pounds on your bones, you're also not likely to work for Zweig. The way Karlheinz wants his world to work is difficult to maintain, that's why he was willing to start this deal with a tribe member (Even if Zweig is under him to some degree)

Kou clearly was firstly pick to be a dancer, not because of his abilities, but his natrual charming look- (Because he was able to attract more people to shows) He even was considered a cash cow at a young age BEFORE becoming a vampire. Azusa was also picked a dancer but that wasn't decided till later on, it was mainly because of his height and skinny self, but the kid has good form from the stomach down. Ruki was a different story, he did actually have a choice for what he wanted to do. He stayed behind with Kou and Azusa because the sense of something going wrong overwhelmed him (Also the fact that when they're older, Kou still is immature to a degree and Azusa doesn't know much about his purpose working for Karlheinz, so he could be taken advantage of)

Working for Karlheinz means:

If you want to pay the dancers, you're really paying him directly through the bosses running the club (In this case, it's either Carla or Reiji, who soon get their split pay after Karlheinz)

As a dancer, you're point is to serve Karlheinz indirectly, whether that is through shows to gain money for future advancements or not

The 1/3 Rule >>> For every one dancer that has three shows within a day, you're free to opt out, BUT you have to give the boss a private show and they have their way with you (So a dancer isn't gaining anything outside of a break away from a show)

If you dare go against Karlheinz, you're killed. He brings you into his arms and nurtures you, therefore you have no meaning if betraying him.

Working for Zweig means:

You're hard working, put in the effort all day every day

Working 40 hours in TOTAL >>> 8 hours per day for five weeks roughly

You're willing to die for the sake of others, and this is something that's hard to take to heart in the Demon World, life is so precious once you take your first breath

You'll respect the Commanders (In this case, Shu and Shin) like you'll respect your parents, otherwise you'll get killed

If you're creative in skills to perform better in combat, then you know Karlheinz put you with Zweig without making error Really, overall, if you can satisfy these two, then there's no issue in the long run

Working for Zweig is HARDER than working for Karlheinz, of course there's more rules and meanins behind the way they run things, but the stuff I listed are the obvious ones to note

You'll get more MENTALLY drained working for Karlheinz THAN working for Zweig, dancers don't get much of a saying as "the customer is always right" is said a lot. What a customer wants, they'll get it.

A lot of dancers have gained ptsd from the sexual assaults they've got because people know they cannot oppose what they want, which is why many end up committing suicide. Azusa almost was a victim of it wasn’t for Kou, neither enjoying bringing it up. There's only so much a single individual can provide for others before they reach a limit, it sucks

Ruki is the only dancer who works for Reiji and KNOWS what he’s doing. The way he’s been treated by Reiji has been nothing more than a stripper, possibly leading to why Ruki wants power to serve his own form of dominance. Kou and Azusa work for Carla and seriously can’t determine if he’s worse than Carla or not.

Carla doesn’t like to answer questions for why he’s his own boss and leader under Karlheinz, and certainly doesn’t bring up Shin either in a conversation

Working under Reiji results in:

Less pay received

More likely to gain sexual trauma

More hours worked

Weekends you have to perform for Reiji, since it’s a sign of his hardwork making money for Karlheinz and gratitude

Gaining things such as suicidal thoughts and insecurities about your body

Working under Carla results in:

Less pay received

More hours worked (Yes, you're working MORE than if you are w//Reiji actually)

HUGE gain of sexual harassment (Or least a decent percentage, but you're likely going to get some ptsd or trauma either way)

Physically beaten if making the same mistake over and over

Stress. A lot of it

Becuase the Demon World in this au isn't fully invested and developed where it is canonally, being a dancer or soldier are the TOP jobs to try and get because it's directly from the government//leaders of a community. What does the Mukamis do with the money they get? They don't do anything other than save, save, save. Yuma is isn't getting paid at all, and it's because he's paying with his life and nothing else can be offered in return of that. Yuma is LUCKY enough that everything from food//water is provided and paid for him

Reiji knows how good Ruki is because he was the one who further taught him after he got older. He taught the ropes to just get Ruki surviving in the dancing industry, even though Kou is much better than him under such an activity. Ruki's relation with Reiji can be called cordial, but he doesn't have a strong liking towards him (Of course there is respect since he's working under Reiji's//Karlheinz's demands, but not truly as a person outside of that)

Because Kou and Azusa work under Carla, they can't say for themselves where they lie in relation with Reiji, likely loyalty and respect the give their own boss would transfer to him either way.

Azusa probably got the most beatings from Carla due to his clumsiness he natrually can't help, so he has to take a lot of breaks in and out of shows, otherwise he'll likely not survive without fainting on stage (His body can't keep up with how dehydrated he gets doing physical labor) He know he isn't good but that's why he was kept with Kou from the very beginning.

Kou doesn't get the heavy lashes like his younger brother, but more of the touching sexually. He's been groped by viewers without consent and Carla seriously doesn't have time on his own hands to make sure his workers are okay. Not even once is Kou really able to express himself with being rubbed up against, one time it got back when a costumer even cornered him backstage in attempt of making him to oral performance on a man. DON'T even get this kid started with the vulgar//explicit comments he gets DURING a show, he'll breakdown at the thought of it.

One dancer, who has worked under Reiji AND Carla, said being part of the industry was like being a slave put to work in the fields. The death rate in the Demon World (Including those under Zweig) Has increased by 37%, which is quite a lot. Suicide rates have gone to 48% whereas numbers of rape under the vampire clan keeps steady at a solid 62%

So pretty much, NOTHING is stable when looking at everything through a clear lense, but who can really start a rebellion against it? Literally nobody, not even God himself if everyone were to say a pray and hope for a mircale in song to be heard...
