Bandai Announces Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival & Tamagotchi Uni Monster Carnival

New Tamagotchi Uni’s are here! The two new Tamagotchi Uni’s are themed, and they’re so cute! Bandai has announced the Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival, and the Tamagotchi Uni Monster Carnival which feature themed shells and bands, along with the same programming as the Tamagotchi Uni, but with a Tamaverse ticket to either Angel Festival or Monster Carnival!

First is the Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival features a light pink shell, with light blue buttons and a light blue translucent back. The front faceplate is outlined in blue, and features some clouds and a rainbow. Cute! The band matches the shell with its light pink color and the buckle in the light blue. Included in the box is not only the Tamagotchi Uni, but also a Tamaverse Ticket to Angel Festival which unlocks the angel fun.

Starting on July 13th, 2024 JST you can visit Angel Festival, a new location available within the Tama Portal. Bandai will also be selling Tamaverse tickets to this new location on the Tamaverse Ticket Shop website. Six new characters will be added when you download the location, which include Mametchiel, Pegasupatchi, Flowerdite, Sebirecupit, Unimarcorn, and Yumemitie. They all look so angelic!

Then in the Tama Portal you can visit the square where you might be able to see angels playing, and you’ll see exclusive scenes at the Angel Festival.

Second is the Angel Festival exclusive mini game which  features Chestnut Angel from Tamagotchi Angel, how cute?

You’ll also be able to get exclusive items including foods, snacks, items, accessories, furniture, and rooms.

So angelic, now let's talk about the monsters!

So, I got this pair of comic pages from our old friend Laura who seems to have became a deviltchi. Maybe this is insight to how her group dissolved.

Apparently, from what I can tell, Laura threw her bat at Eggo and bit Rowa's ear, causing everything to go downhill. Eggo ran away, Laura did something rather hurtful, and Rowa had a heart attack upon seeing Laura's corpse. This might imply that Rowa is actually undead.

Also, there's 2 new introduced characters to the Eggocomic cast at the end of the second comic. I'm guessing the Marutchi with the pink scarf and flower is Aromi and the one with the spike markings is PowPow.

Limiting to YuuriVoice LisOcs bc we'd be here forever. Maisy (Casper) collects tamagotchi stuff. its their special interest. Their favorite is deviltchi. They are very very short but is absolutely convinced they could take anybody in a fight. They are my favored child because of their inability to keep their yap shut.

Mira (Rookie) really is a big sap for movies about family because the Vitale family is very close. She is also Maisy's cousin! MIra really likes dark fantasy novels.

Sammy (Faust's Listener) is my least fleshed out but he can actually sing! He does karaoke streams sometimes and has no fucking shame about what he will and won't sing. He is the golden retriever boy.

Jude (Angel) streams making art with a pngtuber and Luc sits inthe room mid-stream enough to the point that they made a tuber for him and the audience does not know that the devil "design" is not a "design". Jude is also Sammy's go to artist!

Nora (Finn's listener) has 3 variants and we dont have that kind of time :) :))) but im always thinking about them. Their animal-sona esque thing would be a deer and thats all you're getting till i finish their redesign. Chai (Boo / Sugar) has a "its cleaning weekend" playlist and its mostly heavy metal and emo classics. She's normally dressed very cute light colors but she wears like old band tees and cotton shorts on cleaning days. She also collects funny mugs and her favorite thing are some cat paw shaped shot glasses.

Tamagotchi Ps Setting up Sonictchi VDP

I was originally going to try for Pumpkin Deviltchi & then Sonictchi(along with random characters I liked if I had to wait for another boy) but decided to scrap the idea. I can try again at any time then get Sonictchi again if I feel like it but I think I'm also burnt out from the Pix. I'm not going to explain too much since it will make this long but the Pix makes it hard to be interested in stuff despite how much I like the features so it led to being nervous despite the fact I have way more control with the Ps, technically the Mix/Meet/On(at least on gen 1 & with certain characters for age stages) & Uni.

Anyway I decided to do Sonictchi not only cause of the Pix burn out but also cause I'm on a massive Sonic kick again. I could get Pumpkin Deviltchi later if I feel like it & I could just setup custom Halloween stuff if I want Halloween stuff while playing with Sonictchi.

Here's clips I decided to get of setting up the firmware patch to prevent the vdp from ejecting since without a physical pierce it'd eject itself in 12 hours. You can also see that I forgot I already had it installed but it's a good look into what you need to do.

I was a little hesitant at first cause I didn't know what to do & for some reason Mr.Blinky's site(especially with the page for vdp+ which was the page I needed) wasn't working(failed to load) for a while but it luckily came back up after some time though I did also find a video on his youtube channel. Setting everything was really easy after getting everything setup but because I didn't know what I was doing I had no idea what I was doing.

All you have to do is send the patch, go to the patch in the travel area(the door) & press "A" a few times to continue threw the process.

So yeah I set this up when I setup the English patch & forgot, on the bright side it's setup & you can see what the screens say

Here's setting up the Sonictchi vdp, I took a little too long to setup cause I forgot the tamagotchi needs to be a certain distance instead of really close to the inferred device

I forgot I needed to delete the vdp patch setup, I'll do that when my tamagotchi returns from daycare(ok after getting him fed & cared for but you know what I mean)

All I have to do is travel to the patch & everything will be prepared

And now I'm prepared for trying to get Sonictchi

I really like the menu layout for the Sonictchi patch, not only cause of the design but because of something else. I've rambled vaguely in the past & it's made no sense but I like when the layout for the menu has a design for each icon.

The default menu I used up until now was not only nice looking but had a spot for each icon, the Sonci based menu also has a spot for each icon whether that was intentional or not.(As you can see with the door icon in front of the ring between Knuckles & Tails) There's a starry based menu I like but the menu felt off to me without little designs behind the icons. I know it's stupid & I'm sorry about that.

I feel bad Knuckles is where the bathroom icon is but it's nice to see Cream is in the menu. Kind of interesting she's were the clover/med kit icon is.

Anyway I'm ready to get Sonictchi in the teen stage(need to feed him 3 chilidogs) so we'll see what happens in a few days.

A correction!

This is not the "death" screen. Rather, this is the "egg" screen for when the Tamagotchi Angel first begins!

The 1997 Japanese models depicted the tombstone with Obaketchi, which would "hatch" five minutes later into Obaketchi Angel. This screen is the death screen from the Japanese Gen 1 and 2 models.

For localization, the 1998 English model replaced this with a UFO, which would "hatch" into Obaketchi Angel in the same way. The UFO comes from the English Gen 2 model's death screen.

What this means is that these replica units are reproducing the English version of the Tamagotchi Angel, rather than the Japanese version.

Some other localization changes on the English model while we're here:

Cactus Angel (Sabotenshi) is replaced with a different secret character, Smiling Angel.

The bathroom icon, a butt with wings on the Japanese model, is replaced with a roll of toilet paper.

On the Japanese version, when the Angel takes a stroll, it will show a door on the screen. On the English version, it instead shows an empty screen. Both versions will have the attention icon lit when this happens.

The "Good End" screen depicts the Angel ascending back to heaven. The Japanese model then shows text reading "Thanks!", which the English version replaces with a full screen of twinkling stars.

The Japanese "Bad End" depicts the Angel turning into Deviltchi. The English version replaces this with the Angel becoming a black egg, followed by the words "Bye Bye!".

Aside from the above, the two function identically.

Tamagotchi Original Angel Series Features UFO Death Screen

The Tamagotchi Original Angel series is now on presale at the Tamagotchi 28th Birthday Celebration at the Harjuku OSHI BASE. Some lucky fans got their hands on these beautiful angels a month before their release, and they’re already observing the differences!

Looks like upon the death of your Tamagotchi Angel, you’ll see the UFO screen instead of the “Thanks!”, “Bye Bye!” Or Osutchi screen!

You can see the comparison picture above from an original Tamagotchi Angel.
