This was one of the hardest sequences for my Animatic!

I had a hard time figuring out what exactly happened during the ritual and who was there (and the order of the seats) but with the help of a friend i managed to understand so I made it like this!

I was gonna make a meta post about how the characters’ corresponding patron arcana are in the same sprite pose as them but then actually looked and realized that’s only true for Julian lmao so I guess just have these comparisons

This was the most complicated edit I had done up until that point. Remains one of the more complicated edits I have done.

I've tried some new techniques and I'm torn as to whether I like them or not (it took me ages). I was a bit addicted to posting every day, so it was good to take a break.

I thought about doing this because of Muriel's route, I don't think Sabel could have a relationship other than friendship with him (maybe I'll make another MC for Muriel, Portia and Asra's route), she would certainly help Lucio or help Muriel so she could be close to Nadia.

･ั Alright so good evening! I had been thinking about Lucio since last Monday and I knew I had to make a very short brainrot about him. pls kill me.

I think he's super duper overly affectionate. I mean, the way he just acts in his route tells everything and I can see that he's very clingy with the m/c and it's definitely for three things—

Number one, for their attention.

Number two, affection.

Number three, number one and two 😭

No, but seriously. He gives off the like "where you are is where i wanna be" and "ilysm. are you listening?" kinda thing and it's so cute! And given that they were the first to accept who he really was and trust him.

When he's literally harsh and mean to everyone else but gets very vulnerable and soft towards the love of their life is so endearing. Talking about being vulnerable, he'll always be honest to them and like instantly cry after admitting another "oopsie."

It's a weird (or not?) habit of his to press his face against the m/c's chest and talk but the words come out as muffled. He'd go flustered when they'd ask what he was saying.

"N-Nothing. I said I love you "

Then they'd both start laughing softly. AAAAAA—

He'd smell like a London boy istg. Simply luxurious with a tinge of cheerfulness and peace. Adventure? Vintage? Oh yes. He'd literally spill the whole bottle of perfume/cologne on himself and think that he's getting a lot of attention when in truth, some people are backing away from the very strong scent. Not the m/c though lmao.

Was there even a way to balance it???

Those who would back off includes: Asra, Nadia, and Muriel.

Those who don't seem to mind: M/C, Portia, and Julian (being the good boy who doesn't seem to care)

But I guess the m/c sincerely likes it.

the full monty- when i heard the premise I wanted to call social services but it was actually HILARIOUS so sweet and talked about serious topics like body insecurity, sexuality, depression, divorce, unemployment, and suicide in a very comfortable/almost realistic way? without it feeling forced in and unnatural. TOTALLY get it if someone didn’t agree that was just my take??❤️🧡💛💜

Anatomy of a Fall- SO WELL DONE sad and poignant and fresh and french and kept me on my toes ❤️💚💙🖤

the unbearable weight of massive talent- ridiculous comedy u gotta know about nic cage first probably, give it a chance it gets sillier and there’s pedro pascal which makes me happy🧡💛

Love and Death- funny but niche, if you like russian literature or woody allen that’s the only time i’ll reccomend💛💜🤍

Aftersun- wow. No typical “plot” but I loved it and was captured by the beauty and realistic representation of how memory works❤️💚💙

I like to imagine that while Courage is trying to face off against Makima and stop her from the things she do, Makima’s army of devils is just chilling at Muriel’s place because she thought they were drifters who needed a place to stay and decided to cook dinner for them.

Eustace tried to kick them out and he got exploded for it.

Courage could absolutely defeat Makima but only if she has somehow put Muriel in danger, and entirely through what is, technically speaking, slapstick, but in execution it traumatizes every people ages 16 and under for the rest of their lives while simultaneously inspiring a few of those people to become, years later, pioneers in horror art and writing.
