Jewish and Israeli Tumblr, I just can't deal with the USA anymore. We're on our tenth consecutive forever-year of stochastic politics. I feel like 2020 was 20 years ago at this point.
I'm tired.
I'll put all the justifications below the cut, but let me get right to my question: Olim & Natural-Born Israeli citizens: What can I expect from Aliyah? Is there a place for me? I want out of the USA.
I currently work as in IT asset management and procurement. Basically I just keep track of my employer's IT-related inventory (think paper, toner, laptops, and tablets), spec and purchase new devices as part of our IT lifecycle, prepare old assets for disposal through our e-waste vendor, and manage/deploy our new inventory when it comes in.
I know Israel has a booming tech sector, but I'm worried I won't make the cut. I'm not an impressive candidate. I have experience in IT but I'm not credentialed or anything. My academic background (Bachelor's) is in business.
Before my current job, I worked in QA software testing (APIs mostly), healthcare technology, and helpdesk (Tier 2). It's gotten me pretty far in the "firm handshake" economy of small town Texas, but I'm not sure it will get me far in the "real" IT world.
Does anyone have any advice for a prospective oleh who's coming from low-paying IT / IT-adjacent work in a low cost of living mid-sized Texan city? What are some good cities / towns to look at besides Jerusalem and Tel Aviv? Are there jobs for someone like me outside of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv?
I guess what I'm asking is whether Aliyah is a good economic decision for someone who doesn't already have money? Any olim here that could give me insights?
The ugly truth is this: The US is sliding into authoritarianism really quickly and I'm on the losing side. Sure there are supposed to be laws in place that will slow this down or mostly stop it, but the law only works if there's someone willing to enforce it and well... Can you name one person who has show the moral fortitude and is still in a position to do something?
To put it in more utilitarian terms: I'd rather be someplace where I'm unlikely to be scooped up and interrogated for being politically and ideologically incompatible with MAGA or whatever. They're already detaining Native Americans and Black Americans and trying to deport them. Bad things are coming, and I'd rather get out now while I still can.
It's not flattering for me to say, it reflects poorly on me, but it's honest: I'm no hero. I'm a coward and I'm not afraid to say it.

Obviously Federation Force was made years after Super Metroid, but I like to HC that the Bion amplification beam is how the infant was mutated into the titular Super Metroid. We already see the beam used on other Metroids beforehand in Federation Force to enlarge them, although the sizes are different and they still retain a weakness to cold.
From an in-universe perspective, I like to think about it this way; After the loss of Phazon, the Space Pirates wanted to find another way to enhance Metroids, as they figured greater power would make up for their inability to control them after Mother Brain and Dark Samus’ deaths. They rediscover Bion and the amplification beam left behind by its inhabitants, which can induce gigantism in living organisms.
The beam is transferred to the Doomseye, and successfully enhances not just Metroids as intended, but also any other creature the pirates can get their hands on, including individual pirate troopers themselves! But then then Samus and the Federation Force destroy the Doomseye, and the amplification beam with it.
Luckily, the Space Pirates were able to scan and analyze the device, and the data they collected was sent to a rebuilt Mother Brain on Zebes. Using her supercomputer abilities, she managed to reverse-engineer her own take on the Bion device, and used it on the infant Metroid brought to her by Ridley. This resulted in it enlarging into the titular Super Metroid, and because of its rare Queen potential, it lost its weakness to cold.
What Mother Brain created was a flawed copy, however; It required enormous amounts of energy and a huge cooldown period. Because of this, she never had the chance to reuse the amplification beam on other Metroids, and when her demise caused Zebes to self-destruct, the Bion technology was eradicated for good.
Had the Space Pirates known about the additional stages in the Metroid lifecycle, they’d have undoubtedly combined them with the amplification beam to create colossal monstrosities. Thankfully, Samus destroyed all other Metroids save the infant by the time Ridley, the Space Pirates’ only visitor to SR388, had appeared. The Federation knew the true potential of the Metroids was a deadly secret, and managed to keep it hidden from the Space Pirates.
Perhaps Mother Brain would've approached the Alpha and subsequent stages with caution, upon learning metamorphosis led to larval Metroids turning on their Chozo creators. Given her own Chozo DNA played a role in her ability to command Metroids, she might've just relied on the amplification beam as her only method to enhance Metroids, and use it on the larvae exclusively. Of course, having Metroids hatched from eggs imprint on Mother Brain instead could be the solution, in this alternate timeline...

The Modern Irken Anatomy and Basic knowledge:
Irkens, a insect-like species native to the planet Irk, have undergone a remarkable transformation into primarily mechanical organisms. This transition is facilitated by a complex device known as a 'pak,' which intricately integrates with their physiology, assuming control over all organic functions. This development has led to a diminished role for the traditional brain organ, which has become largely redundant in the Pak Era, as the pak effectively manages cognitive functions.
As a consequence of this mechanical adaptation, Irkens retain certain vestigial organs, as physically altering their makeup is a complex and unnecessary endeavor. Notably, the paks substantially extend Irkens' lifespans, effectively halting the aging process during young adulthood or maturity. Additionally, many Irkens exhibit zipper-like teeth, although sharp teeth are also a possibility.
In terms of physical appearance, Irkens generally display a uniform appearance, marked by minor variations and occasional defects. While sex differences are present within the Irken species, their culture is characterized by a fluid understanding of gender and sexuality, neither of which has any bearing on an individual's social rank or position within Irken society. Irkens, ranging in height from 3 to 5 feet typically, emphasize these values in their unique and advanced society.
Sex Differences:
MALE TYPE A:
Within the Irken society, there exist two distinct categories of males, with "Male A" representing the typical male archetype. These individuals are characterized by relatively short and generally unstyled antennae, although some degree of variation is observed in this feature. Importantly, Male A Irkens possess the conventional male reproductive organ. However, it is noteworthy that this organ serves no practical function, as the Pak Era has rendered the organic birth of smeets (Irkens' offspring) impossible. Smeets are entirely dependent on paks for their survival, and organically born Irkens are fundamentally incompatible with this advanced technology.
The concept of hybridization is theoretically feasible, as Irken DNA and data are remarkably adaptable and harmonious with various other species. However, it is essential to emphasize that the Irken Empire strictly prohibits crossbreeding between Irkens and other species, maintaining a distinct and uncompromised genetic lineage. Irken society remains committed to these principles, ensuring the preservation of their unique genetic heritage.
Example of such sex: Tallest Red
MALE TYPE B:
Type B males, while sharing similarities with their Male Type A counterparts, exhibit a distinctive and noteworthy feature – they possess both male and female reproductive organs. This dual reproductive capability was naturally occurring and predates the Pak Era. Historically, the Irken species faced a challenge due to the prevalence of males and a relative shortage of females. To adapt to this demographic imbalance and prevent the risk of extinction, Type B males developed the capacity for both male and female reproductive functions.
It is important to underscore that the shortage of females is no longer a concern, as Irkens are now artificially engineered. This process involves the formation of unique DNA sequences through the incorporation of lines of code, resulting in individuality and uniqueness among Irkens. However, this artificial production also means that Irkens lack conventional family structures.
Notably, Type B males have exhibited a higher aptitude and proclivity for scientific and planning roles within the Irken society, although the exact reasons for this phenomenon remain unknown. This unique attribute contributes to their specialization in these fields, further diversifying the talents and contributions of the Irken population.
Examples of such sex: Tallest Purple, Zim (Error name redacted. Plausible cause: Irken has gone rogue and/or has been classified to speak about.)
FEMALE:
Females within the Irken species comprise a single type, characterized by distinct physical features. These features encompass longer antennae that can be styled for aesthetic or personal preferences. Their eye structures differ from those of males and exhibit a peculiar feature resembling eyelashes. These “eyelashes” were historically employed for mate attraction prior to the advent of the Pak Era. Female Irkens only posses a female reproductive organ.
Examples of such sex: Commander Tem
IRKEN ORGANS:
As previously mentioned, many organs within the Irken anatomy are considered superfluous, including the reproductive organs and the conventional brain. However, a pivotal organ known as the "squeedily spooch" assumes a central role in their physiology, working in tandem with the pak system. The spooch serves as a multifunctional powerhouse, responsible for several critical functions.
One of its primary functions involves the absorption of oxygen and nutrients from the intake of food. It subsequently processes these substances, converting them into pure energy, which is then channeled into the pak, ensuring its sustained operation. This synergy between the spooch and the pak enables the latter to function autonomously, without the need for additional external energy sources.
Nonetheless, in cases of extensive energy expenditure, Irkens may necessitate supplemental energy-conservation measures. Such measures can take the form of rest or recharging, demonstrating the interplay between the spooch and the pak in maintaining the Irken's overall functionality and well-being.
THE PAK:
The "pak" is a sophisticated and highly potent portable computer integrated into every Irken upon their artificial creation. In essence, the pak serves as the core of an Irken's existence, with the physical body merely functioning as a vessel for its survival. The pak transcends the conventional role of the brain, encapsulating all aspects of an Irken's sentience and genetic makeup, collectively referred to as "data."
Irken data holds immense power, encompassing not only the individual Irken but also defining every facet of their existence. This comprehensive data is responsible for regulating and managing various critical systems within the Irken society.
One such system is the emotional system, which exerts control over the range of emotions that normal Irkens can experience. In this society, expressions of feelings traditionally seen as weak, including but not limited to love, care, sadness, and joy, are explicitly prohibited for normal Irkens. However, this strict emotional regulation is relaxed for the highest-ranking individuals, namely "the Tallest" and the Irken Commander, who are granted the privilege of experiencing these emotions upon their coronation. Irkens found to deviate from this emotional norm are labeled as "defective" and are subjected to a process involving connection to the Control Brains, the most formidable computers in the universe, for reprogramming. This procedure effectively strips them of their rank or, in severe cases, results in their termination.
The paks are equipped with a storage and weapon system, leveraging molecular science to shrink and encase items, effectively cubing them for storage within the pak's confines. These items can be restored to their original form upon retrieval. This advanced feature enables the inclusion of integrated laser weapons and sophisticated appendages akin to spider-like walking mechanisms within the pak. Irkens have the flexibility to store a wide array of items, underscoring the versatility and functionality of their paks.
IRKEN SOCIETY:
The Irken societal structure is underpinned by a hierarchy rooted in a distinctive height system. This system dictates that an individual's potential rank within the society is significantly influenced by their physical stature. Specifically, the taller an Irken is, the greater their potential for ascending to higher positions of authority. Nevertheless, exceptions exist within this framework, wherein individuals of average height can rise through the ranks based on demonstrated exceptional skill and competence.
Irken society is fundamentally organized around principles of conquest and militarism. They have cultivated a culture that perceives uniqueness or deviation from the norm as a sign of weakness. Moreover, this mindset extends beyond their species, as Irkens consider all other races as inherently inferior. This prevailing attitude is characterized by snobbery and brutality, a perspective that is rooted in their perception of themselves as a dominant and formidable species.
The Irkens' self-assuredness is not without merit. They are, in fact, an exceptionally lethal and formidable race, holding the distinction of being the most powerful and potent among the various species in the realm of conquest. This dominance further reinforces their aggressive and assertive nature, which is reflected in their societal structure and interactions with other races.
IRKEN ABILITIES/WEAKNESSES:
Irkens are endowed with a range of innate abilities that contribute to their formidable nature:
1. Exceptional Eyesight: Their large, prominent eyes afford them expansive visual acuity, granting Irkens the capability to perceive a wide range of details.
2. Night Vision: Irkens possess inherent night vision, enabling them to navigate and see effectively in low-light conditions, naturally adapted to dark environments.
3. Acute Hearing: The sensitive antennae that crown their heads facilitate excellent auditory perception, endowing Irkens with keen hearing abilities.
4. Motion Detection: Irken antennae also function as exceptional motion detectors, capable of detecting vibrations. Many Irkens use this feature to determine if any unseen movement is occurring in their vicinity, often by pressing their antennae to a surface.
5. Exceptional Smell: Their antennae serve as olfactory sensors, enabling Irkens to detect a wide range of scents. Furthermore, each Irken possesses a unique and distinguishable scent, allowing them to be identified by their fellow Irkens through this olfactory signature.
6. Superhuman Strength: Irkens are naturally stronger than many other species, a testament to their physical prowess and adaptability.
7. Regeneration: The advanced technology within their pak systems enables rapid healing and regeneration, provided there is sufficient energy to support these processes. This remarkable regenerative capacity underscores the resilience of the Irken species.
In addition to their exceptional abilities, Irkens also naturally possess certain vulnerabilities:
1. Sensitive Skin: Irkens have sensitive skin, rendering them highly susceptible to burns, especially on planets with high pollution levels or elevated pH. In such environments, even water can become hazardous due to its pollution-absorbing properties.
2. Pride and Ego: Irkens are notably prideful, and damage to their ego or pride can significantly affect their performance, potentially causing them to falter.
3. Lack of Empathy: Irkens have difficulty understanding and expressing empathy or sympathy towards individuals from other races. Compassion is not a common trait among Irkens.
4. Electric Surges: Irkens are at risk of pak malfunction when exposed to significant electric shocks. Such malfunctions can be fatal to the Irken.
5. Pak Vulnerability: If an Irken remains physically unharmed but their pak sustains damage, it can be a critical situation. The pak is situated on their back, a vulnerable location, and damage to it can prove especially dangerous.
RANKING:
As previously emphasized, the social hierarchy within Irken society is predominantly structured around an individual's physical height, and in exceptional cases, skill-based considerations. Irkens are typically assigned specific roles and responsibilities from the moment of their artificial creation, and they undergo rigorous training to excel in those designated functions.
At the pinnacle of this hierarchy are "the Tallest," who represent the highest attainable rank. This status signifies the utmost competence and worthiness to govern. It is notable that the position of "the Tallest" is frequently shared by two Irkens of equal height, underscoring their presumed equal competence and authority.
Directly beneath "the Tallest" lies the role of "Commander," usually occupied by an individual predicted to ascend to the position of "the Tallest" in the future. Commanders work in close collaboration with "the Tallest," ensuring a seamless transition of leadership when the need arises.
Irken society encompasses a diverse array of roles and occupations, including but not limited to scientists, invaders, soldiers, technicians, engineers, medical personnel, and service drones. Each of these roles serves a distinct and crucial function, collectively contributing to the functionality and prosperity of the highly organized Irken society.
TYPICAL IRKEN LIFE CYCLE:
The conventional Irken life cycle commences with their artificial creation, taking place within the Smeetery. Here, upon activation, basic information, and their unique data are uploaded into their pak, rendering Irkens self-sufficient from the very outset of their existence, even within their earliest moments.
Subsequently, these newly created Irkens undergo assessments and examinations conducted by Smeet Nurse Irkens, which determine their designated roles within the society. Depending on their early performance and subsequent observation, a Smeet may undergo this evaluation process multiple times. Upon selecting their first occupation, Irkens receive specialized data pertaining to that role, setting the stage for their introduction into training and educational programs tailored to their chosen profession.
Smeets benefit from a structured six-year training period, providing ample opportunity to refine their skills and, if needed, make adjustments to their designated roles. At the conclusion of this training period, which marks the Irken's sixth year of life, they typically transition into the workforce. For those assigned to higher-ranking positions such as Commander, Tallest, Elite, Soldier, or Invader, further extensive training is undertaken, extending for an additional year. It is at the age of seven that all Irkens are considered mature, despite their rapid mental development they do not mature faster than other species by any means, which renders them essentially children by the standards of other species when they are considered mature in the Irken eyes. (Maturity in Irken eyes doesn’t mean physically mature. It means you have learned all you need to know to start your role in the empire.) Irkens are seen as unethical due to this, many races are against ‘child labor’.
Notably, Irkens do not experience aging beyond the young adult or adult stage. As a consequence, many Irkens meet their demise due to accidents, execution, or participation in various forms of warfare. This unique life cycle underscores the distinct nature of the Irken species.
LANGUAGE:
Irkens communicate using the universal language of English, making it their primary spoken language. However, when it comes to written communication, they typically use their native Irken language.
Irkens possess the capability to produce a range of sounds, including trills, chirps, purrs, and hisses, similar to various insects, birds, and felines. However, such vocalizations are generally frowned upon within Irken society, aligning with their culture that tends to view expressions of emotion or distinctiveness as signs of weakness.
Antennae play a crucial role in Irken communication. Irkens use antennal movements to complement their speech or reactions to various stimuli. While touching antennae is considered a taboo action, it also signifies a deep level of love and trust when it occurs. On the other hand, wiggling antennae serves as a customary greeting among Irkens, fostering social interactions within their culture.

PREHISTORIC IRKEN:
The prehistoric Irkens differed significantly from their modern counterparts in several ways. In those ancient times, their primary mode of communication consisted of trills, hisses, chirps, and purrs, accompanied by antenna-based signals, reflecting a more primal form of interaction.
Notably, prehistoric Irkens were entirely organic beings and lacked the sophisticated pak technology that characterizes the contemporary Irken society. Their physical anatomy included distinctive features, such as tails, which aided in maintaining balance, and sharp claws, which served for climbing and traversing trees and cliffs.
Their diet was largely centered around honey and nectar, a preference that corresponded with the presence of their distinctive worm-like tongue. Although equipped with sharp teeth, these early Irkens predominantly relied on these dietary choices rather than aggressive hunting.
This log is open and subject to change or adjustments.

Ain't got no use for AI.
Look, I get it. I work in IT (if indirectly), but I think we need to kill this AI thing in its crib before it results in a majority of the US workforce doing back-breaking non-automatable jobs for pittance.
My job is 70% procurement and 30% e-waste disposal.
My job exists because:
Our procurement software has a UI that I would describe charitably as "openly hostile".
Far too many employees have access to the procurement software.
The finance department does not hold regular trainings on how to use the software and there's no process to notify finance of new employees who have been granted procurement access so the new employees can be trained.
Until recently, there was nothing built into the software to stop people from buying things with money they don't have or that is allocated to other projects. (A janitor could buy a high-spec Mac Studio using another department's money or simply not pay for it after it arrives.) Technically "not paying" is still very much an issue I have to solve.
Until recently, there was nothing built into the software to stop people from buying things without approval. After a few high-profile issues, we finally broke down and bought a plugin to correct this issue.
There is nothing built into the software to prevent people from buying devices that do not comply with our standards or are wildly inappropriate for their work tasks. (Secretaries getting high-spec gaming PCs just because they had the money in their budgets.)
Until I pointed it out, there was no policy in place to divert newly-delivered IT equipment to the IT department for set up and endpoint management. Until I pushed for a policy change, IT equipment could (and often would) be purchased and delivered directly to the department unmanaged or in a few cases a less-scrupulous employee's home address for personal use.
Our inventory system is arcane and there are a sum total of three people with access to it. And that's the system we primarily use for IT lifecycle management!
All of these things could be fixed by just buying better procurement software, let alone procurement software enhanced by AI. The only reason my employers haven't liquidated me is because right now the annual cost of having a human clean up all the human errors caused by the cheap lousy software they bought is still lower than the annual cost of software that would prevent the human errors from happening in the first place. But for how long?
What about all the jobs AI is already taking? All the writing and editing and media production jobs that simply won't exist because it was easier to let a machine do it? (Ignore that all the CGI people have four thumbs and 12 toes, human. Watch our slop content and enjoy it! You aren't worth real art.)
All the marketing jobs that will be liquidated because the algorithm knows us better than we know ourselves. Where are they supposed to go?
What about all the programmers and developers being laid off because ChatGPT does a decent enough job and if you lower our expectations enough, people will just accept a lousy app to purchase their burritos and yell at the human driver when the burrito is wrong?
Where are these people (and many, many more) supposed to work?
We closed the factories. We didn't find new high-quality jobs for the factory workers, did we?
All the factory workers went to work in low-paying retail and service economy jobs. Oh wait, they've been laid off from those jobs too because we had to have self-checkout and self-service kiosks and now entire Dollar Generals are staffed by one employee.
Drive a taxi? Sorry that was replaced by sharing your car with strangers (Uber). Oh no wait sorry, the self-driving cars are taking that too.
Call centers? We shipped those overseas and then shuttered them because a phone tree with a realistic human voice and intentionally vexatious wait times will take care of the pesky callers.
Gig work? If AI hasn't taken them already, they will soon.
Agricultural work? Slaves Prison labor will replace that soon enough (and frankly prison laborers will likely also take many other menial tasks like package delivery or fulfillment warehouse jobs soon)
Again, what are the vast majority of people on this earth supposed to do? Because if you think we're getting UBI in the US, you are deluded.
When the car replaced the horse as the primary means of transportation and other machines took the place of horse labor, the population of equines declined. They weren't needed anymore.
Between 1915 and 2006/7 the horse and mule population declined 63.07% in the United States. The US equine population in 1915 was 26,493,000 (horses and mules). In 2006, the United States had around 9,500,000 horses (1), and the United States Census of Agriculture for 2007 (table 31) counted 283,806 mules and burros (2).
And while the horse population has rebounded in the years since, it's because of enthusiasts wanting to breed more horses for entertainment and luxury purposes.
No one found the horses new jobs when the horse jobs disappeared. We simply stopped breeding horses. (And that's assuming, charitably, that we didn't juice the decline by culling the horse population.)
When our jobs disappear, do you think our overlords will just keep us around? I mean sure we're taking care of the population problem for them (a little too well actually, thus the anti-abortion laws), so they likely won't turn us into glue.
They'll still need people to fix the machines when they break and to continue building and creating better and better AI and machines to take care of their every whim.
And they'll need some people to do all the work the AI and robots cannot do yet.
And they'll want people for entertainment and luxury: Actors, singers, athletes, and playthings they can use as they please.
But ultimately what all these "tech-bros", "technocrats", "effective altruists", and "techno-progressivists" really really want is world that caters exclusively to their needs and all the inconvenient people who have needs of their own are swept into the recycle bin and discarded without a second thought. All problems are easily solved when you eliminate all the people:
Littering? No people, no litter. You, glorious techno-overlord, would never litter.
Climate Change? Less people, less carbon. You'll still be here, though, don't worry my liege!
Economy? The robots do all the work you used to have to pay people to do. And all the profits go to you, sire!
Taxes? LOL you don't have to pay taxes. Taxes are for the peasants.
You get my point.
The techno-overlords are tired of negotiating with us because they don't believe they should have to. We aren't their equals, if they even consider us human. They need some of us to do their bidding and some of us to keep around to torture and dominate to make them feel like gods. Beyond that, the rest of us are just excess people breathing up all the air.
AI has to go, not because the AI itself is dangerous, but because the people whom the AI ultimately serves have told us time and time again who they really are. It's time for us to believe them. We know their vision for the world, and it's a world without us. 1. This figure comes from a report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and is often cited in writings about horse population decline, but I could not locate the actual report on their website.

To combat laser weapons, USAF improves pilots' eye protection
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 12/02/2023 - 13:00 in Military
The Human Systems Division of the U.S. Air Force Lifecycle Management Center is in the process of updating goggles for crews operating several USAF aircraft around the world.
Composed of eight different devices and known as the Block 3 product family, the glasses will provide protection against laser threats and introduce for the first time a combined capacity of ballistic and laser protection. Eyewear devices include separate day and night glasses, ballistic glasses and visors designed for integration with night vision glasses. The devices will be available to all crews, except those operating U-2 and F-35 Lightning II aircraft. The type of eye protection the crew will receive will depend on the mission.
“If you are flying low and slow or hovering like a helicopter or CV-22 Osprey, the crew would prefer to have ballistic protection, as well as laser protection. However, if you are on a fighter or flying a bomber at high altitude, the chances of needing ballistic protection are not so high. We also worked with the U.S. intelligence community, which provided an assessment of the threats faced by air crew members,” Beer said. “We used this information to determine what we needed to protect ourselves against and what eye protection technologies we needed to adopt,” said Mark Beer, deputy manager of the Air Crew Laser Eye Protection Program program.
Cases of "lazing" - laser pointers pointed at aircraft pilots - have increased in recent years, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. In 2022 alone, there were 9,500 incidents throughout the country.
"Eye health is very important for our pilots. The consequences of being hit by a laser without adequate protection can not only prevent the pilot from flying and landing an aircraft safely, but can also cost them their career. Therefore, our goal is to ensure that the right glasses are available to everyone. We work closely with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in this effort. AFRL researchers were instrumental in the pre-engineering phase of manufacturing and development and in experiments with dye and filter technologies," said Captain Pete Coats, chief manager of the laser eye protection program for crews of the Human Systems Division.
Along with improved protection, night glasses will allow more natural light through the lenses, increasing the visibility of crew members. A key part of the development of glasses has been partnerships with stakeholders. More than 42,000 devices will be fielded for Air Force units by 2027.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), based at Wright-Patterson Air Base, is designed to provide a single face and voice to customers, manage weapon systems throughout their life cycles, and simplify and consolidate personnel functions and processes to reduce redundancy and increase efficiency. In addition, the operational structure of the AFLCMC provides a framework for decision-making and process optimization throughout the life cycle of the weapons system.
