For seven days celebrate the festival to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.

Remember Passover (Deuteronomy 16:1-8)
Perhaps we ought to stop trying to always have takeaways for everything – as if the Bible can be boiled down to some neat personal application for my life.
Exodus, by Yoram Raanan Observe the month of Aviv and celebrate the Passover of the Lord your God, because in the month of Aviv he brought you out of Egypt by night. Sacrifice as the Passover to the Lord your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the Lord will choose as a dwelling for his Name. Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the…

The Morning Devotional: Deuteronomy 16
The Morning Devotional for December 28, 2023 Deuteronomy 16 “Observe the month of Abib and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night. 2 And you shall offer the Passover sacrifice to the Lord your God, from the flock or the herd, at the place that the Lord will choose, to make his name dwell there. 3 You shall eat no…

DEUTERONOMY S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 16
Tuesday, 4/18/23
SCRIPTURE:
Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.
 ~ Deuteronomy 16:17
OBSERVATION:
Well, I guess in my case that would have to be, you know, something like, oh, I dunno... 100% of everything I am...
...because without His blessings - and especially His blessing of Jesus - I'd have and be nada - zip - nothing...
...and yet, how often do I forget that?...take it ALL for granted?
He doesn't - Jesus didn't -
APPLICATION:
"Revisit" my blessings... beginning with His grace and forgiveness...
Bring Him my "gift" - my 100%...
PRAYER:
Blessing Father God - I confess my failure to return in full the gift of a life for You that You have given me through Your Son Jesus - I ask for forgiveness for those times I knowingly go my own way, and for Your Holy Spirit's continued presence in guiding me to seek You and return to Your will... In Jesus's Name, Father, that You will be glorified and praised for any and everything I do...
Yours, gratefully and humbly, in Him...

Matthew 7:15 (NIV). “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”
Matthew 10:16 (NIV). “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
Proverbs 28:1 (NLT). “The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 (CEB). “Be strong! Be fearless! Don’t be afraid and don’t be scared by your enemies, because the LORD your God is the one who marches with you. He won’t let you down, and he won’t abandon you.”
“The enemy likes to hide wolves inside sheep's clothing but that's okay, Jehovah hides lions inside of lambs.” Amen! 🙏🕊🙌

Scriptures for when you're going through a rough time
~Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
~John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
~Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."
~John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
~Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither life not death, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
~Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
God loves you no matter what circumstances you're going through. He loves you so much and wants to be your source of help during your times of trouble. ❤️

lemme just scoot on in here—
“I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalm 34:4-8)
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” (Psalm 46:1-3)
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day.” (Psalm 91:1-5)
if anyone finds out when this permanent feeling of fear goes away please let me know

The Four Dimensions of God's Love: How God Loves You Completely
Paul spent more than two years in Ephesus, so it stands to reason that he knew people there pretty well. He preached and taught in that crossroads city so effectively that Luke says “all of the Jews and Greeks who lived in the Province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.” (Acts 19:10) When he wrote to them in Ephesians, Paul mentions the four dimensions of God’s love as if everyone knew about…

What Does a Bribe Look Like
Once, two men were to appear before an older judge over a matter concerning a lot of money. One of the men came the day before his appearance and asked the judge to help him. As he spoke, he laid five hundred silver coins on the table. The judge took the money and told the man to come back the next day. That evening the old judge asked that a big dinner be served, and he called together his sons,…
