Is a revolution or a peaceful ending better in a post-canon perspective?

I read somewhere that the demonstration is the worst post-canon conclusion after the nuclear one for the androids, but wouldn't the androids theoretically have public opinion on their side? The support of the people after Markus and the androids has in a way demonstrated that they "have" emotions, that they are "human" unlike the revolution of the type, with Connor's army there would be negotiations I think, but would they still be seen in a positive light by the public? I don't know, it's a question more than a statement because I honestly admit that I know nothing about Dbh, so if I seem ignorant you know why.

This is getting ridiculous.

I have this "he really liked you, Lieutenant" vid that is clearly a shipping vid and I got this comment today

"he likes hank as a father figure right…? isn't that what you mean-?"

and I am pretty tired of such comments already because never in the entire game both characters are called father and son and I won't buy "oh but canon doesn't have to say things like that out loud, it's obvious the way it is" thing.

No, it does, if the creators wanted it that particular way, because that's what the source material did with Kara&Alice and with Carl&Markus relationships, but the game never said/showed anything like that about Hank and Connor.

And believe me, I love the family trope, but family isn't just about the parent&child roles, because your husband/wife, your friend or lover are also your family, but I got the impression that people have become obsessed with the specific roles of this trope, reducing it to only parent/child/siblings relationships and so on and hating on everything else. Which is kinda disturbing, considering how much hate the ships get nowdays.

I see this even in the Arcane fandom. It is even more tiring and this obsession with "oh they are brothers you cannot ship them, oh they are father and son, shipping them is morally wrong" is starting to irritate me.

I see "but they're brothers! The co-creator etc. said so…" on almost each Jayce/Victor and Vander/Silco vids too (I recently came across a comment on a Jayce/Victor vid that people have to stop shipping them because the co-writer said they were brothers).

And here's what I'll tell you: no one should care about that, because there weren't just a few specific people working on the show/game, everyone involved had their own vision of the characters' relationships. And no one should care about what they say after the show/game is released, because in the end people ship consenting adults anyway and those ships do not hurt anyone. And it doesn't matter who we are talking about: Hank and Connor, Jayce and Victor or Vander and Silco. The last two couples get less hate, tho, than Hank and Connor, but even there there are people who are obsessed with family relationships and think they have a moral right to shame the shippers.

And no, I don't think that seeing them as a family is bad, I think that it's wrong to shame or hate on people who want to see them as lovers. It doesn't hurt anyone, after all, and there's nothing wrong with people wanting to perceive the characters' relationship that particular way.
