SO, KISS ME âĄ
pairing: logan howlett x fem!reader
summary: to celebrate six months of being together, you and logan head off to a secret spot. and it wouldn't be a celebration without a few drinks, right?
cw: nsfw (18+), smut, p in v, fingering, light dubcon, intox kink, alcohol + intoxication
kinktober slot: day 2 - intox kink
Being the guidance counselor at Charles Xavier's school, you take your work seriously. You dedicate all that you have to the students. Helping them blossom into healthy, well-adjusted adults means everything to you in both a professional and personal sense. But because of your fierce ambition, you never really get the chance to let loose. Your nights consist of reviewing your cases. When you do have free time during the evening, you often spend it alone or with your boyfriend, just relaxing.
Tonight is different though.
It's your six month anniversary with Logan - which he makes sure to remind you multiple times, is not a real anniversary since it's not annual. But regardless, he indulges your desire to celebrate.
Holding hands, he walks you through the overgrown grass down to the neglected boat house that stands a few hundred yards South of the school's main building. The buttery blades of the field brush against your knees as your steps trail his larger strides. He glances back at you every now and again, a subtle way of making sure you aren't having any trouble.
The path the two of you take winds down to the old wooden structure. A collection of trees secludes it and the dock coming off of it. He leads you up the creaky steps and through the small musty corridor, smirking at your complaints about the possibility of bugs or other small creatures.
At the end of this trip, you finally reach the destination he wanted to take you. The small area that comes off the boat house and sits a few feet above the moderate-sized lake on this corner of the estate.
"Wow, this is kinda pretty," you say, peering around at the secret spot he'd found for the two of you.
"Kinda? That's all you'll give me?" he teases.
He pulls you the few remaining paces to the edge of the pine slats. You smile up at him, tucking yourself underneath his muscular arm as the two of you overlook the turquoise water.
"Ok, ok. It's super pretty. I never thought you'd be the type to do something so romantic," you correct.
"Yeah, well... I can be when I want to. And for you... I guess you're worth it," he says, keeping a cocky look on his face. He could never have you taking his words too seriously. Couldn't clue you in to the depth of what he feels for you in the short span of time you've officially been his.
He sits down first, and you follow in suit. His legs dangle, hanging inches above the murky liquid. Yours stay tucked up on the wood, crossed over one another. You take a few more moments to enjoy the scenery around you. It's nice and quiet out here. Pretty and green. Maybe it would feel creepy if not for Logan, but his presence prevents any eerie feelings from tainting your fun.
The hand that hadn't been used to guide you down here holds a six pack of Logan's beverage of choice. He sets the perspiring cans next to his thigh and hooks his elbow over your shoulders, pulling you close to his side again. His lips land against your temple, silent affection you'd grown accustomed to from him.
You tilt your head upward to brush your nose against him and look into the pair of eyes you found yourself getting lost in more and more often these days.
"You could've picked a more romantic drink though," you joke.
He scoffs playfully. "I'm celebrating too, aren't I?" he says.
Reaching over, he pulls one of the cans from the plastic wrapped around the top. He watches how your eyes follow his hand.
"You want one?" he asks.
You glance up at him and nod. Sure, you didn't care for the taste of beer. You weren't too fond of alcohol in general. But tonight was a special occasion. You figured it wouldn't hurt. It'd probably be fun trying out a new change of pace.
He rolls his eyes and frees another can from the pack, sliding it into your hands.
"All that complaining, but you're still gonna drink anyways," he mocks.
"Shut up," you say and give his arm a little shove.
The lid spurts as you pop it open. You bring the container to your lips and take a drink, scrunching your nose at the flavor. He grins at your exaggerated show of displeasure.
"No one's forcing you," he chuckles.
"I know," you say after swallowing.
You scoot a little closer to him and lean against his side. He doesn't need anymore words to understand what you're trying to communicate.
The two of you drink and talk for an amount of time that fades into irrelevancy in favor of enjoying each other. You sip your drink while he pops open another. The once-serene quiet of the lake becomes filled with the sounds of your combined voices and laughter. You swap stories in between lazy kisses, vent about nagging problems of your lives now as your hands roam each other's bodies.
You end up finishing two drinks. Your head is spinning by the time the second can leaves your fingers. He can see from the look on your face how you're feeling. Even if he didn't have his advanced olfactory, he would be able to smell the smooth scent oozing off of you.
After laughing a little too hard at a joke that wasn't that funny, you go for another one. He grabs your wrist and then cups your jaw, tilting your head upward so that your glassy eyes are on him.
"Think you've had enough, baby," he smirks.
You give him a goofy smile and shake your head. "Have not."
"Hmmm, I think you have. You're a total lightweight," he teases. His arm snakes around your back and scoops you up, pulling you to sit on his lap.
You don't protest the adjustment and instead snuggle into his chest.
"But today's special," you pout.
"That's true, but tomorrow isn't. And you're not gonna feel very special if you give yourself a killer headache."
You scoff despite the truth of that statement.
"You're no fun," you say and flick at his face.
He swats your hand away gently and shifts you on his thighs to make sure you're supported and won't go toppling into the water below. You still try to reach for another drink, but he stops you again.
"That last one's for me," he says. He knows that won't be enough to sate you though, so he tries an offer, "If you really want some more, I'll give you a sip of mine. Deal?"
You pause like you're thinking about it. In truth, that's just the delay needed for the words to register in your mind.
"Deal," you agree and smack a kiss against the corner of his mouth.
He smiles, and the two of you stay like that for a while. You continue talking, but it's a bit closer to rambling now. He doesn't mind though. The sound of your voice in either form is always enough to entertain him.
Every so often, you pull at his thick forearm, indicating you want a little gulp. Most of the time, he obliges you, raising the drink to your mouth and letting you have some.
He's not sure what it is about seeing you like this that gets his blood pumping, but sure enough, after watching your eyes flutter and your mouth swallow a few times, he feels the familiar sensation of heat pooling in his gut. Like a slow whirlpool, it lingers, teasing the idea of sinking.
His fingertips glide along your jawline as you drink, keeping your head at a suitable angle. He notices how glossy your eyes have become - similar to that of a doll's. When you pull back after a few moments, your lips shine with traces of beer. His dick throbs at the way your lids droop slightly when you give him a big, sweet smile.
"Why're you staring at me?" you ask playfully.
"I'm not... Now I know you've had too much - you're seeing things," he says, voice lowering as he leans in to kiss at your neck.
You hiccup a small laugh and shake your head. "I am not," you respond.
He smiles against your skin, but his lips don't deviate from their task. They continue moving along your neck, laying hot pecks along the column of your throat. The wet sensation makes you squirm a bit, soft whimpers spilling from your lips. He can feel his cock filling out in response.
Pulling back a little, he glances at your face. His own eyes are becoming a bit hooded by lust now. He brings the can back to your mouth.
"Take another drink for me, honey," he directs, "Want you to finish it off."
"Mkay," you hum and accept the liquid being poured into your mouth.
His eyes fixate on you as you swallow it down. He can hear the small clicks of your throat with each mouthful you take. His thumb rises to the corner of your mouth to swipe away the bit of excess that drips from there.
"That's my girl," he praises, "Nice and slow."
The low and smooth cadence of his voice brings a shudder up your spine. You keep accepting the liquid down your throat until no more oozes from the can at your lips. He pulls it away and looks into your eyes.
"Such a good girl for me," he says in that same tone, "Did you like that?"
You nod, a small, helpless giggle trickling from your lips. It's involuntary, a natural reaction to the man holding you right now when you can't think to stifle it. You lean back into the warmth of his chest. Your thighs press against one another and rub, trying to create some friction for the blooming ache between your legs.
He feels the subtle movements, the little back and forths on his lap. One of his palms lands on your leg. His fingers grip the squishy flesh, adding to the heat at your center.
"What're you doing, sweetheart?" he asks teasingly.
"Nothing," you say with a little smile.
"It doesn't feel like nothing to me," he says, digging his digits into you with a slight increase in pressure.
Your breath hitches, and your legs spread apart a few inches out of instinct. You craved his touch a few inches upward, ached for him to ease the tingling that resided at your center. He grins when he sees how your limbs move for him.
"You feeling a little restless, baby?" he breathes. His hands slide up to the hem of your shorts, teasing the fabric that rests against your leg. "You're getting all squirmy. Think the beer is making you feel funny, huh?"
"Little bit," you agree with a lazy nod. Your hand grabs his and drags it up to slot it against your covered pussy. You gently rock your hips to signal what you want.
He laughs at your bold display, letting you hump his palm but not doing anything to add to your pleasure yet.
"That's where you need attention?" he teases.
"Yeah," you whimper. You try to buck your hips more, but it's hard to get real stimulation with how he has you situated on his lap.
His smirk doesn't let up as he watches your desperation.
"Tell me what you want. Exactly what you want."
"You," you whine, "Need you to touch me. Rub my pussy. Gimme your cock. Allll of it."
His eyes blaze with desire at your words. Under usual circumstances, that took much longer to coax out of you. He'd have to really work you up to being so explicit about what you needed. But with the liquid courage in your veins, it all came much easier.
He rewards you by sliding his hand up and then tucking it beneath the waistband of your bottoms. His fingers venture down, cupping the expanse of your cunt before parting your lips and gently swirling his fingertip around your poor little clit.
A sharp whimper comes from you. Your legs writhe with delight while the rest of your body melts back into his.
"Those drinks just washed all the thoughts out of that pretty little head, didn't they?" he whispers, "Drained all that need down here. Now the only thing you're thinking about is getting this little pussy filled up."
You bite your lip. Heat floods your cheeks. But you still nod.
"Mhm. I can see it all over your face. Poor thing," he mocks.
He boosts you closer on his lap as his fingers continue to tease and flick at your sensitive bundle of nerves. His fingertips are rough, blunt contrast to the velvet softness of your folds. They swipe through your arousal. He gets you to whine a few more times before they coast down and poke into your entrance.
You mewl and arch your back. It was just the two of you, so you took no care to be quiet or subtle.
One slides in first and then a second. They're just fingers, but they're so fucking thick and lengthy. The stretch feels like the perfect warm up to what you really want.
He pumps them back and forth a few times. Your walls clench around him with each motion. He doesn't go too fast just yet.
Your head still spins from the booze, but the feeling is amplified with the waves of ecstasy washing over you. His hand that isn't knuckle-deep in your cunt holds you upright, occasionally groping your breast to give that extra burst of heat.
His cock hardens to the point of pain beneath your ass. He can't help it with how enticing you look, whimpering and fidgeting in his lap like this, completely lost in the pleasure he's providing.
"So sweet for me. So easy to get you all wound up," he murmurs. He grinds the heel of his palm over your clit, pulling more erotic noises from your throat.
"L-Logan. Need more," you stammer.
"You do? Already?" he teases.
A petulant whine erupts from you as your feet kick with desire.
"Pleaseeeee," you pout, "Need it in me. Need your big, fuckin' cock in me."
He chuckles against the side of your head. The words sound like your attempt at imitating dialogue from a porno.
"Yeah? Need me to ruin that tight little pussy?" he responds, mimicking the same style of speech.
Ordinarily, you probably would've laughed at the obnoxious nature of the words, but in this moment, you moan and nod eagerly.
He decides you've had enough teasing and indulges you. It is supposed to be a celebration after all. He slips his fingers out of you and frees his hand from the confines of your shorts. With you still on top of him, he scoots back on the wooden dock. The last thing he needed was for you to fall in the water mid-riding him.
The thought makes him decide to flip the two of you over entirely so that you're on your back against the planks. He could only imagine the other's reaction to you both trudging back in the mansion soaking wet, the scent of alcohol coming off you in waves.
You giggle when your head clunks against the hard surface, already squirming to get your clothes off. He helps you out with that and shoves your shorts and underwear halfway down your thighs. It would be enough for right now. The two of you could do this properly later tonight in the comfort of your bed.
He kneels above you and unzips his pants before pulling his length out. It's rock solid, yearning to slide inside you. He doesn't waste any time. His body hovers above yours, his bulky arms on either side of your head. He nudges his hips forward until his tip meets your dripping cunt.
You whine as he splits you open on the thick shaft. Your eyes roll to the back of your head. You don't feel anything else in the moment, not the rough wood against your arms or the cool breeze blowing over the both of you. Right now, everything is about you and him.
He pushes his cock all the way in and then drags it back just as slowly. Your slick coats him down to the base, making the swath of dark hair there shimmer with evidence of your connection. He grunts at how tight your pussy grips him. The wordless plea for him to never leave.
His hands stay planted against the wood as he begins to rock back and forth. Your legs stay bent up, pressing against his sides as he works.
You babble out words of praise, but they slur together and end up incoherent.
"What's that?" he asks with a playful smile.
"Said it feels s'fuckin' good," you choke out again. Your words fizzle away in an instant though when a hard thrust rips a squeal from you.
He chuckles and only pumps his hips harder.
"That right, baby?" he taunts.
Your head bobs in agreement, more mumbled enjoyment coming from you. You try to boost your own hips to reciprocate a bit, but you're too out of it. All you can do is lie there and let him make you feel good.
He doesn't mind. He likes the control over you, the duty to provide your pleasure.
"Taking it so well for me," he grunts, "Can't think or talk, but your body still knows what it's doing."
"Mhm," you whimper.
He smiles at the weak noise.
Your legs quiver in their folded position, the muscles in your thighs spasming as the feelings in your belly become harder to deal with. The blooming sensation of euphoria makes your brows furrow and your jaw clench.
"Oh, I know that face," he coos, "You getting ready to cum?"
"Y-yeah," you force out around whines.
You look so fucking cute like this, he's about ready to finish too. Everything about you is just so precious in this moment. The needy look in your eyes, the faint pout on your lips. All of it makes him throb.
Seconds later your hips buck and your back arches off the wooden dock. Your arms fly up and wrap around him. The sound of his name comes out garbled among other expletives and cries.
Every syllable is drenched with satisfaction, and it's enough to drive him over the edge as well. He's not as loud as you when he cums. His pleasure comes out in a muted groan, made even softer by burying his face against the skin of your neck.
You barely register the feeling of his release. Most of the time, it was your favorite part, but in your blissed-out, intoxicated state, it's harder to focus on.
The feeling that stands out to you most is when he slides out and peels himself off of you.
You whimper and grab at him. "Don't leave." you pout.
He laughs at your little display, shaking his head. "When have I ever left you, hm?" he asks and leans over to kiss your forehead.
You suppose it's true, so you don't protest further. He takes on the responsibility of putting himself and you back together. His zipper slides back into place before he tenderly pulls your panties and shorts up over your ass again. In a lazy attempt to help, you scoop up the used beer cans in front of you.
"We can't litter," you say before laughing a little more.
He decides to gather you up into his arms, carrying you back in the direction of the school. He didn't want you to trip and fall while inebriated. Plus, this would probably be faster anyway.Â
You hold the lot of cans in your arms like some sort of makeshift aluminum baby. Your eyes stay on his face though, gleaming with adoration. He notices the look and raises his eyebrows.
"What are you staring at me for?" he asks, mocking your earlier question.
"You're seeing things, old man. Think you had too much to drink too," you answer before letting your head dangle back over his arm, another laugh echoing across the open expanse of the field.

Somewhere only we know
~ Azriel X Fem!Reader
Summary: Azriel comes to visit you for the first time in a while.
Warnings: Angsty goodness
He could hear it now; your call beckoning him closer.
The dulcet tones of your laughter echoing amongst the evening birdsong as Azriel approached.
It was a path the shadowsinger had walked a hundred times before. The bowing oak trees and the familiar tune of the flowing beck all working to guide Azriel towards his final destination.
Towards you.
Yet even the forest wasn't safe from the golden hands of time. The gnarled roots and overgrown canopy a glaring sign that it had been far too long since Azriel had last come to see you.
Where he was once able to run freely alongside you, Azriel now found himself uncomfortably squeezing through the wild underbrush. Wings tightly curling into his back out of fear of catching them on the thicket of brambles which now lined the once clear path.
Perhaps a year was too long to wait.
Perhaps Azriel should have visited you sooner.
Your voice continued to grow louder with each step taken, the wind beginning to carry the recognizable scent of your sweet perfume.
Azriel inhaled deeply, allowing the delicate aroma of honeysuckle and jasmine to wash away his worries. A calming peace, that only ever makes itself known when in the presence of your company, began to warmly settle in his chest.
"Hello my love"
Azriel called softly into the air, the gentle twinkling of a wind chime greeting him in response as the evening sun broke through the canopy above to lay a welcoming kiss onto his cheek.
"I've missed you," the shadowsinger continued, moving towards the fallen trunk of a tree in order to take a seat, "I'm sorry I've been gone so long."
Another melodic chime answered, assuring Azriel that his absence needed no excuse.
"But I couldn't miss spending my birthday with you, I don't think you would have let me"
The wind laughed in reply, a soothing breeze coming to caress his smiling cheek as Azriel lifted a shaky hand to meet the ghost of your own.
Eyes beginning to water at your phantom touch, the male cleared his throat before reaching into the pocket of his leathers. "I've brought you a letter," Azriel started to explain, pulling out the carefully folded piece of paper, "of all the things you've missed since I was last here. I wrote it all down just so I didn't forget to tell you anything."
The orange sun glowed a little brighter, so as to provide Azriel with enough light to read his letter. The forest falling into a peaceful silence in order to ensure that you heard every word the shadowsinger had to say.
"Feyre is pregnant again, I think Rhys would kill me if I didn't tell you that first," Azriel grinned at the smile of excitement he could picture you wearing at the news, taking the time to burn the image into his mind before continuing, "Nyx is convinced it's a girl, and if it is her wants her to be named after you of course. He always talks about his favourite auntie."
Azriel allows himself to pause, needing a moment to calm his wavering breath before he could say any more, the harsh lines of a frown beginning to cross his face.
"Cas says hello. He'd come here if he could, you know that. But I don't think I'm quite ready to share this place with anyone else yet. He's fine, Nesta too. They're kept busy by little Sofia most of the time, ever since she learnt how to fly she's been wreaking havoc all over Velaris."
A robin flittered down from the trees, perching by where Azriel was sat, its small head tilted in silent understanding. Appreciating the company, a slight smile flickered across Azriel's lips as he turned his watery eyes back to the letter grasped between his trembling hands.
"Elain and Lucien are finally back from their trip around Prythian. They went to Spring - to that meadow I took you to for our anniversary. She . . . she brought me back some flowers, said they reminded her of you."
Azriel's tears finally began to fall as he carefully folded the letter once more, tucking it away into the safety of his leathers, placing it into the pocket right above his heart.
"And me . . ." Azriel started, voice cracking as he tried to recall what he had done since he was last here, his surroundings taking him back to a time when you had once been sat here with him, "Well I've not really done anything at all."
The male's hands move to clasp onto the two rings resting on a chain around his neck, thumb working to brush the cool metal in the hope of receiving some comfort, "Some days it feels like time has scarcely moved at all . . . On those days I like to close my eyes and picture you - us - here in the forest. Running through the trees like we used to do, hiding from our responsibilities for as long as we could."
Azriel deeply exhaled as he watched the robin fly away, tears still falling as he continued to speak, "And then I open my eyes . . . and remember you're gone" Azriel's words are interrupted by a harrowing sob falling from his lips, "I don't know how much longer I can do this. I'm getting old my love, sometimes I worry that one day I'll come back here and you won't recognize me anymore. That our love will fall victim to the hands of time just as the forest has."
The chimes twinkle once more, a gentle reminder that you are never truly gone, the ever-changing wind whispering promises that your love was one to last for eternity.
"I know" Azriel sadly smiles, letting go of the rings in order to brush away his tears, the thought of your heartbroken expression enough to dry his eyes, "I just miss you, that's all. Not a day goes by where I don't think of you."
The trees lightly rustle in response.
Azriel stayed to talk to you long into the night. The conversation never fading, nor growing dull, even when the moon had said its goodbyes and the sun had risen once more.
If time was all Azriel could offer you these days, then his time was what you would receive. For each hour spent in your special spot, was another hour of keeping your memory alive.
Another hour Azriel got to spend with you.
When the time came for Azriel to reluctantly leave the forest, his responsibilities too pressing to ignore for much longer, the shadowsinger whispered a promise into the wind that he would return once more. Swearing that you would not have to wait so long to see him again.
With each step he took, the scent of rosemary and sweet pea grew stronger, your calming aroma fading as Azriel walked further and further away.
And as Azriel turned to look at you once more, he could have sworn he heard you calling after him. Words unintelligible as your voice became lost amongst the birdsong.
But he could feel it, the assurance that he wasn't alone.
The piece of you that had been trapped here, now safely tucked within the confines of his heart.
So carry you home he would.

Paige Bueckers HEADCANONS:
Anniversary Ver.
Hello, so I know I've been pretty MIA, and I'm sorry. But life isn't gonna stop for anyone, especially not me. But im back, so that's what matters. im gonna go ahead and answer a few questions.
Yes. Three's A Crowd. Is returning for the final installment. Aka the smut, so many people have mesaged me for.
No. I don't write for Emily, I thought about it, and then she signed with an Israeli team. So that's a firm NO.
Yes. This is very corny, and I projected just a little. With a sprinkle of all over the place but with the drama arising in the paige Hashtags. I thought we could use a cleanse and something light-hearted.
1. Surprise Anniversary Trip âĄ
Paige would spend weeks planning a surprise weekend getaway to a cozy cabin in the mountains. She would make sure to secretly pack your favorite clothes, snacks, and a few sentimental items. As you guys drove along the scenic route, Paige would keep the destination a secret, enjoying the look of curiosity and excitement on your face. When you guys finally arrived, the cabin was perfectânestled among tall trees with a breathtaking view of the valley below. Paige would arrange for a private chef to prepare a romantic dinner for you on the first night, complete with candles, soft music, and a crackling fireplace.
2. Custom Jewelry âĄ
On the morning of your anniversary, Paige would present you with a small, beautifully wrapped box. Inside would be a delicate silver bracelet with your anniversary date engraved on the inside. The bracelet would also feature a small charm shaped like a basketball, symbolizing the sport that she loves and a small lockette as a symbol of you guys being together forever. Paige would spend hours choosing the design, wanting it to be something you could wear every day, close to your heart.
3. Personalized Love Letters âĄ
Paige handed you a beautifully wrapped box tied with a satin ribbon. Inside were twelve letters, one for each month you guys had been together. Each envelope was decorated with little doodles and stickers, and the letters themselves were filled with Paigeâs heartfelt thoughts and memories. She recounted you guy's first date, the moment she realized she was in love, and all the little moments that made their relationship special. Reading through the letters showed a beautiful testament to you guys' love and admiration for each other.
4. Home-Cooked Dinner âĄ
Despite her busy schedule, Paige took a day off to prepare a gourmet dinner for your anniversary. She spent the entire day shopping for ingredients, following recipes, and setting up the dining area. She decorated the table with candles, flowers, and their best dinnerware. When you finally arrived, you were greeted with the mouth-watering aroma of your favorite dishes. Paige served a three-course meal, finishing with a simple but delicious dessert she had made from scratch. You both spent the evening talking, laughing, and reminiscing about your years together and the ones to come.
5. Memory Scrapbook âĄ
Paige created a scrapbook filled with photos, mementos, and little notes from you guys first year together. She included ticket stubs from concerts and movies, pressed flowers from dates, and candid snapshots of spontaneous moments. Each page was carefully crafted, with handwritten notes detailing the memories behind each item. The scrapbook was a journey through your relationship, and a tangible reminder of all the love and joy the both of you shared.
6. Midnight Stargazing âĄ
After the romantic dinner, Paige drove you both to a quiet spot away from the city lights. She set up a cozy spot in the back of her car with blankets and pillows, creating a little nest where they could lie down and stargaze. Both of you spent hours under the stars, sharing your dreams and hopes for the future. Paige pointed out constellations and told stories about them,*with you constantly reminding her she googled them* making you feel special and cherished. The night was filled with soft whispers and gentle kisses, a perfect end to your anniversary.
7. Special Song âĄ
Paige had secretly learned to play a special song on the guitar, one that held significance for your relationship. After dinner, she brought out the guitar and, with a shy smile, began to play. You recognized the song immediately, your eyes filling with tears as Paigeâs beautiful but nervous voice filled the room. It is a beautiful, intimate moment showcasing Paigeâs love and effort to make the night memorable.
8. Custom Illustration âĄ
Knowing your artistic side, Paige commissioned a custom illustration of both of you together. The artwork depicted a scene from your favorite dateâsitting together on a park bench, holding hands and watching the sunset. The artist had captured everything perfectly, and the colors were vibrant and full of life. Paige had the illustration framed and presented it as a gift, a beautiful token of the relationship that would hang in your apartment.
9. Midnight Dance âĄ
After dinner, Paige took you to a secluded garden or a rooftop overlooking the city. She had brought a portable speaker and played your "couples" song on her phone. Under the moonlight, you guys danced together, lost in each otherâs arms. The world seemed to fade away as you both swayed to the music, your love palpable in every touch and glance. It was a perfect, magical moment, one that Paige and you would both remember for years to come.
If you made it this far, thank you! If you have any critiques or requests. My inbox and ask are very open, so feel free. đ¤

Today marks yours and you husbands wedding anniversary. This morning you were blessed with no screaming children jumping on your bed you share with Kenji. In fact, you were also blessed with breakfast in bed.
Ken had told you once you are done with your food, to get ready for something he has planned this afternoon. You had looked at him kinda surprised, âWhat have you got planned?â You had asked. Kenji winked at you, âItâs a surprise.â He replied before leaving you in your room with breakfast.
Once you were finished and ready, Kenji got the kids ready, packing a bag each for them for their grandpas, Kenjiâs father. After many kisses goodbyes from you two mini you and Kenji, you and Kenji had finally started your journey.
The ride was 30 minutes long, your husband told you to relax for a while until you guys get there. And you did that, window down, your favourite music playing. You hum along to the music as Ken puts his hand on your leg, tapping a finger to the beat and grabbing your hand to peck it.
Half an hour later, you arrive at your destination. A wooded area? You have Kenji a confused look. âItâs about a 10 minute walk from here to where we actually need to be.â He tells you, pecking your lips. The walk wasnât long, but you could feel you legs growing tired. No matter how much you chase around the children, you still can cope a ten minute walk.
Kenji stops in front of you, holding out a blind fold, âGunna need you to wear this, baby.â He tells you. You eyebrows raise, âWhatâs this?â You hum. He shrugs and puts the blindfold over your eyes, âGotta wait and see.â
He puts an arm around your waist, guiding you- and to make sure your dopey ass doesnât trip and fall.
You stop and you feel your husband taking off the blindfold. You were greeted with a beautiful view of the landscape. âWow.â You managed to say, only in a barely whisper. You were stunned and in awe.
You turn to Kenji and smile sheepishly, âWhatâs this?â You question. He kisses you, âPicnic.â He grins. Out of happiness and excitement you pull him in a bear hug, squeezing him tightly. âI love it.â You kiss his lips.
Both of you make your way over to where the blanket with a basket is laid out. You help him set everything out. Plates, wine glasses, food and the wine.
You notice itâs all of your favourite foods and snacks.
You both dig into the food almost immediately, âOh my gosh Iâm so hungry,â you moan as you stuff your mouth with a sandwich. âYou had breakfast not even two hours ago.â
You glare at him, âYeah, and?â He laughs at your reaction. You continue to eat the food, drinking wine on the side. It then comes to dessert; ice cream, a small chocolate cake with strawberries on top.
After you finish eating, you and Kenji chill out a bit, talking about your next vacation as the sun starts to set.
Kenji suddenly perks up, âoh, I almost forgot.â He says as he digs into the basket, âI got you a present.â You look at him with wide eyes, you didnât even get him anything. âI didnât get you anything.â You say almost boldly.
He chuckles lowly, âThatâs fine, baby. But I got you something, here open it.â He hands the small box over to you. You shyly open the box to reveal a beautiful necklace. âAre those your initials?â You laugh out. He nods. âYouâre so adorable,â you say before kissing him.
âI love it, thank you.â You take it out of the box, itâs white gold, since you hate gold with a passion. He helps you put it on and you admire it.
âThank you, Ken. Seriously today has been perfect.â You hug him.
He looks at you with a smudged look, âWhat?â You question. âDid I tell you that the kids are staying at my dadâs for the night?â He grins.
I shake my head until I realise what he means, âWe havenât finished yet, letâs go home and finish this perfect day off with the most perfect sex.â He smirks.
âYou know you can just tell me if you want another kid.â You say jokingly.

Until Dawn- By Your Side: Chapter Two, Promise
(Joshua Washington X Reader)
[One] [Two] [Three]
âI hope this was the right thing to do.â Sam quietly says, it seemed like it was supposed to be to herself. Chris and I give her a confused expression. âWhat?â He questions.
âYou know, getting everyone together on the anniversary.â She explains further. âI mean Josh seemed really pumped about us all doing something didnât he.â She starts but it was more of a question in the back of her mind. I just look at her with the same expression Iâve held. âYeah, no, he definitely did.â Chris assures her. âI havenât seen him so excited about something in⌠forever.â He continues, Sam looks at me to see if thatâs true and I nod my head. âGood, good.â
âItâs hard to tell with him, and Iâve kinda been worried. Only hearing updates through [Name] or you.â Sam tells the blond as I notice her avoiding eye contact with me. I mean she has every right to feel worried about him but why is she acting sort of weird with me right now. âNo, no, it was a good idea.â He tells her.
âI hope everybody else feels the same way.â She whispers. âweâre here arenât we?â I add in, leaning back. âWell thanks bros, good talk.â She playfully punches both of us. âYou know what? Letâs just stop talking about what happened and enjoy the trip.â Chris suddenly tells us. âYou know what? Youâre right.â Sam sighs.
âYou know how Josh and I met?â He switches the subject and I smile, remembering itâs because of me that we all met. âNoâŚ?â
âOk, [Name] became my friend in second grade. Neither of us remember how or when that happened but suddenly we were just friends. In third grade Josh sat in the back of the room, I sat in the front and [Name] was also in the back with Josh. She instantly talked with him and they became friends but somehow Josh and I never knew each other existed. But the kid sitting on the other side of him started strap snapping the training bra on the girl in front of him so the teacher made him move to the front- where I was sitting.â He smiles, and I lean back, listening even though I lived through it. Itâs nice to hear. âOkay, so?â Sam asks.
âSo I got moved to the back!â He exclaims. âAnd?â
âAnd next to Josh, thatâs how we met! And us three became friends. To this day. Well [Name] and Josh a bit more than friends now.â He chuckles, pushing me closer to Sam and I roll my eyes, shoving him back. âA match made in heaven.â Sam smirks, âJosh and Chris definitely are.â I say, laughing. Chris scoffs.
âIf it werenât for the fact that Jeanie Simmonds hit puberty like three years early and on that day decided to wear a low cut shirt that showed off her training bra. I mean who knows? You could be riding in this cable car alone or with just [Name].â He pulls out a hypothetical and I shake my head. âRight now. Or talking to some other person or persons entirely. Boom: Butterfly effect.â He does a mic drop motion with his hand. âYouâre so dramatic, Chris.â I sigh.
The cable car gets to our destination and we climb out. We try to open the door but it doesnât budge. It had been a couple minutes of trying to get the stupid thing to open. âJessica, over here!â Sam suddenly calls and I stay in the back after hearing my sisterâs name. We were supposed to come here together but after I found out sheâs going after Mike, we had a huge argument and I want nothing to do with her. âUh⌠are you guys having a really weird stroke?â Jess asks them.
âWeâre stuck in this stupid thing.â Chris answers her. âCan you please let us out? Pretty please?â Sam asks.
âJess, donât play a dumb prank either, just hurry up.â I tell her, annoyed. She ignores me and presses the button, letting us out. âOh, my God. I thought we were goners. Another ten minutes in there and I would have chewed off my own leg.â Chris exasperates. âAw, sick, Chris.â Sam mutters. âLike I said before, youâre dramatic.â I fold my arms over my chest. âLook I got a lot of meat on my bones. This is all muscle down here.â He explains and I just walk away from them. I hear them talk about Jessica having a crush on Mike. Jessica telling them about how sheâs with him.
I take my phone out and text my boyfriend. Wondering if heâs got everything set up. I donât get a response though.
I walk behind everyone as we make our way up to the lodge until I find my way back to Chris and Sam whoâs weirdly being quiet. âChugger gonna make her big come back this weekend?â He asks me and I glare up at him. âAgain with this?â I groan, both of us stop walking and I place my hands on my hips as I stand in front of him. âIâm just saying Josh found her pretty hot.â He puts his hands up defensively.
âChris, weâre 20 years old now, Chugger no longer exists. Plus Josh still finds me hot. Obviously because weâre dating.â I scrunch my nose, irritated on this being a conversation once again. He goes to say something but has a smirk tied to his lips, I glance to Sam who was looking behind me.
Suddenly arms wrap around my waist and Iâm lifted up into the air. I let out a squeal, kicking my feet. âWoah!â I get placed back on the ground and then spun around.
âHello, my beautiful darling.â It was Josh, he pulls me into his arms and I hear him sniff my hair. I let out a laugh. âHi, my love.â I look up and he kiss my lips. âWhere have you been?â I ask him.
âOh you know, around. Setting everything up. Or at least trying to.â He frowns. âHm, I tried texting you.â I pull away from him.
âSorry, havenât really been on it much with all the running around.â He rubs the back of his head. I stare at him, my face scrunched with confusion. Heâs acting weird. He gives me a wink and I roll my eyes.
We get to the stairs of the lodge.
âMan I feel like this mountain gets bigger every time I climb it.â Chris complains, he keeps walking behind me and kicking the heel of my shoe. âOh yeah? Feels the same to me.â Josh says, grabbing my hand. âOh come on, you grew up here. It probably feels like itâs shrinking.â Chris huffs.
âI guess thatâs true.â Josh smiles, squeezing my hand. âWhen are you gonna install some cell towers up here? Iâm getting withdrawals already.â The blond criticizes the mountain, lifting his phone in the air to try to get some sort of service.
âYou got a spare million lying around and Iâll fix you right up.â Josh jokes, chuckling to himself and I smile. âFunny you should say thatâŚâ He checks his pockets as we start walking once again. âAh I think I left it in my other jacket.â Chris points back. âOops.â Josh shrugs. âDarn, that sucks.â I snap my fingers.
âHey guys⌠Get up here okay?â Josh questions the rest of the group ahead of us.
âYeah⌠well, more or less. But itâs so good to see you!â Ashley smiles to my boyfriend and then makes eye contact with me, giving a big grin. Iâve always loved Ashley. Sheâs a sweetheart. Iâm iffy about her after the prank but Josh keeps telling me the twins wouldâve wanted me to forgive them. It feels like I should be telling him that. In the beginning his anger was strongâŚ
âSup with him?â Josh motions to an upset looking Matt. Matt just looks away, I let out a breath. âLetâs just get inside.â I whisper, tugging Josh to come up the stairs.
âYo yo yo! Are we gonna get things moving up here or what?â Chris asks Josh. âYeah man!â He smiles.
He grips my hand once again and I look up at him. Wondering why he keeps doing that. âHey⌠you doinâ alright?â Our friend gets serious, my eyes soften and lean closer into my boyfriend. Wanting to know the same thing even though Iâm with him so much. His mind can go everywhere sometimes. âI mean I know it must be really tough without your sis-â
âStop.â Josh warns him, letting go of my hand. âI just meant that-â
âNo I know what you meant. You know seriously Iâm over it and I just want us to have a good time, you know? Like we always used to.â Josh turns away from us and I frown, I know heâs not okay. I donât know why he said heâs over it. He doesnât have to be over it.
Chris nods his head though, âRight, Chugger could come out like she used to. But she wonât budge through this facade.â Chris pokes my side.
âShut up about the Chugger thing already.â I throw my head back, jokingly gripping my head. âIf my lady says no Chugger, that means no Chugger, sir.â Josh points a finger in our best friendâs face with a smile. Turning back around to try and open the door. âDammit, this freaking thing.â He curses.
âItâs iced?â I ask. âWhat else.â
âMaybe thereâs another way in.â Chris suggests. âThere are a million ways in. Theyâre just all locked.â Josh continues to try with the door. âThereâs gotta be, like, a window round the corner we can get like, get open or something.â Chris tells my boyfriend who stands up straighter at his idea.
âWait a second, are you saying we should break in?â He questions Chris. âI donât think itâs technically breaking in if you own the place, right?â Chris laughs.
âHey, not if I donât report you.â Josh jokes, making our friend nervous. âLead the way, Cochise!â He motions him to go back down the stairs.
Once we get down Chris talks to Ashley. Josh and I watching the scene, his hand finds his way back to mine and I feel a kiss on my jawline. âI missed you.â He whispers in my ear and I smile. âI saw you three days ago.â I keeps my eyes looking ahead of me. âThree days too long.â He pulls me closer to him, kissing my neck making me laugh because it tickles.
âAll right, all right, love birds. Keep it moving!â Chris orders us, shooing at us like we were cattle or a flock of birds. Instead of arguing we move it. Wanting to get inside. âAshley was looking pretty hot today, right?â I teasingly ask the blond.
âYeah if you donât hit Iâm sure Mike will get on that case.â Josh tells him, I pinch his hand, thinking that was a little too far. âHey, cut it out you two.â Chris shakes his head but doesnât lock eye contact with us. âRe-laaax Iâm just checkinâ to see if thereâs some blood flowinâ down there.â Josh laughs. âTsk yeahâŚâ
âListen dude. Look around you. Look at these beautiful mountains. Do you see any parents?â Josh even takes a glance around him as he instructed our friend to do the same. âI mean can you imagine a more perfect, ripe scenario, just dripping with erotic possibilities? You, and Ashley, alone at lastâŚâ Josh makes up a hypothetical and I can see how these two are best friends. âYouâve laid all the groundwork⌠youâve been a perfect gentleman. Now you come in for the kill!â Josh dramatically tells him. I let out a sigh at this awful conversation.
âMaybe youâre right.â Chris smiles.
âYouâre a hunter bro. No fear. No mercy. I mean she wonât even know what hit her.â We walk around him and start back up to get to another way inside the lodge. âAlright, alright. I got it. Jeez.â
âYouâre gross, Joshua.â I gently push him, he snickers pushing my back but weâre still holding hands. âYou know Iâm only messing.â He stops us to kiss me on the lips before continuing again.
âSo how are we planning on breaking in to my parents lodge, bud?â Josh asks Chris. âWait, I didnât say I had a plan-â
âYou sounded like you had a plan.â I chime in, Josh hums, agreeing with me. âYou better deliver, Cochise, or else you got five lovely ladies who are gonna be freezing their bus off and last time I checked, thatâs not a good way to get laid.â Josh tells him, playfully squeezing my hand and I scoff.
âAll you think about is your penis.â I mumble. âMm, maybe.â He whispers back to me. âwell shoot, nobody likes cool buns.â Chris says.
Chris walks over to where an emergency axe should be but he lets out a disappointing sounding âoh.â Then he goes over to a cupboard? âWell well well. We got ourselves a thinker. Nice one.â Josh pats the thing, letting go of my hand. They push it over to the closest window. I watch them do the work.
âWhoâs gonna get in there first?â Chris jokingly asks us. I shrug my shoulders. âif you want, I can do it.â I offer but Josh immediately pulls me back shaking his head in disagreement. âNo, no, let Chris go.â He tells me, I look to Chris who waves it off. Climbing on the thing.
He lifts the window open and climbs inside the building. We hear a thud and him groan afterwards. I wince. âCâmon.â Josh lifts himself up and then helps me beside him but thereâs barely any room. âUgh, Iâm okay!â Chris moans. âI shouldâve pain more attention in climbing classâŚâ He talks to himself. âYou mean gym?â Josh furrows his brows as I laugh.
âYeah, you know, with the climbing up the rope.â He stands up from the ground and then the light in the room shatters. âwhoa.â Josh steps back, I almost slip but I catch myself. âDid I do that?â Chris asks.
âI donât⌠I donât think so. Here, use this.â Josh throws him a lighter. âWhoa- Chris, I just got an awesome idea.â
âYeah?â
âTotally!â
âWell what is it?â Chris asks, looking up to us. âOkay. So I am pretty sure that Iâve got some deodorant in one of the bathrooms⌠you could use that with the lighter.â Josh tells him. âI donât follow. Howâs a stick of deodorant gonna help?â
âSpray on. Itâs a can.â Josh corrects him. âOhhh yeah, now I gotcha. âFlamethrower.â
âJust like we do with the lil army dudes.â Chris excitedly remembers and I wince at the memory. The smell of the plastic burning in my nose. âYup. The ones we melted. Just point the spray-can at the lighter and Fwoosh!â Josh flings his arms up, almost knocking me before he grabbed onto my waist quickly. âBye-bye frozen lock.â Chris chuckles. âBingo.â Josh looks to the side. âAlright, so you got this. Iâm gonna go sort something out- you up for hunting around in the dark for a little bit?â He asks Chris, Iâm confused on what he has to sort out.
âNope. But Iâll do it.â The blond shrugs. âGodspeed pilâgrim.â Josh salutes to him before jumping down and then motioning for me to get on his back. âIn the snow?â I nervously ask.
âYes, I got you.â He says. âI⌠okay.â I slowly get onto his back and I feel his hands grip my thighs immediately. He makes his way back to the front of the lodge. Sam and Ashley were still sitting there. âI gotta go do something, Iâll be back.â He pats my thigh and I jump down.
âJoshua, where are you going?â I ask him in a quiet tone, we were a few feet away from the stairs still. âJust a sorting out a surprise for everyone.â He doesnât look me in the eye and I fold my arms across my chest. âYouâre acting strange, love.â I tell him.
âIâll tell you later, I promise.â He puts his hands on my hips, pulling me closer to him. âYou promise?â I raise my brows, he smiles. âOf course.â He gives me a long kiss before letting me go.
I go over to Ashley and Sam who are huddled up together. âWhereâs Chris?â Ashley asks and I laugh. âHeâs in the house, gonna open the door for us.â I inform them, sitting with them.
âWhereâd Josh head to?â Sam speaks up and I glance off to the direction he was heading. âUm, I donât actually know. He told me he would tell me later.â I frown, now feeling myself getting colder. âWeird.â She mumbles.
âLetâs go over to the door so we can get that fire started as soon as possible.â I pat both of them and we stand up. Walking up the stairs to the front door.

SAKUSA swiped his thumb over the album, eyebrows furrowing as he saw how the dust clung to his skin, leaving behind a clean trail on the cover. he couldnât believe he let it get so dirty. there was a time where he picked it up practically daily â mostly because you insisted on it â and looked through it, a slight smile appearing on his face as he did so.
but now you werenât here anymore. there was no one to force him to look at the pictures, reliving year-old memories. honestly speaking, he completely forgot about it until today, when he decided to finally clean out your night table.
although right now, he wished he hadnât done that.
his fingers trembled slightly as he opened the album, immediately being greeted by your handwriting and a picture of the two of you on your first anniversary.
you had gifted him this album one day, writing a long letter on the first page of the album. back when you were together, sakusa loved to pick up the album (mostly when you werenât looking) and read it, his heart warming with every word. but today, he hurriedly turned the page.
his heart grew heavier with every photo he looked at, remembering every second of your relationship and reliving every little memory that you made.
you looked so happy, just like he did. you were so happy together.
and now you were gone.
he continued looking through the album, the sad smile on his face slowly disappearing, making room for a deep frown.
he shouldnât be doing this. he shouldnât be looking at your old pictures, reminiscing about the past â times that were long gone, destined to never return.
after all, you left him. and here he was, longingly gazing at pictures of you, like you were just gone for a business trip or a holiday. like you would open the door to his apartment in any second, greeting him with your warm smile and in a cheery voice before you would fall into his arms and kiss him so lovingly.
but these times were over, and they have been over for a long time. he hasnât been so happy like he was in a long time. not since you left him.
for a moment he clenched his eyes shut, forcing himself to take a few deep breaths.
he should just throw that away, just like he wanted to get rid of literally everything that you had left in the drawer. a bracelet you had bought that matched his, a few hastily written notes with a few reminders. a pack of painkillers that you got because you knew he was prone to migraines.
and even though it has been so long, he found himself unable to do just that. he clung to these remnants of you, of what you used to have, like a child, unwilling to leave their stuffed animal and carrying it around with them.
he knew it was irrational to hang onto the album. he could never go back to those days, he could never relive those moments, he could never be with you anymore.
it was over. and now these pictures were only fading memories to him, a reminder of a past time that he would never be able to go back to, happy moments he would never get to relive.
you were a fading memory.
slamming the photo book shut, he clenched his jaw, rapidly throwing it back into the still open drawer on the nightstand, before also it shutting it, telling himself to forget about it.
nothing more.
but if you were really nothing more, if you really didnât mean anything to him anymore, why was he still clinging to the last pieces that you had left behind?

Safest with You (The Epilogue)
3.2K / Modern AU Retired Mob Enforcer!Din Djarin x fem!reader
Summary: You and Din welcome a new member to your family.
Warnings: All fluff - just the way we started this series! Established relationship, nicknames as usual (Pretty bird, baby).
A/N: A cute little glimpse into the lives of our happy couple around two years after the series finale. 112 Carlota Galgos is a real Galgo rescue in Spain! I won't go into the circumstances that make the rescue work they do so important, but many of you know that I have a greyhound, and the plight of the Galgo is well known in the sighthound community. These dogs deserve the world!! If you have an opportunity to check out organizations that aid Spanish Galgos or even help - I promise these gentle giants deserve it. Lisette is a real galgo I knew! She passed last year and this epilogue is dedicated to her (cute pics included at the end!)
Iâm posting this on the one year anniversary of Chapter 1!! I canât believe itâs been a whole year of writing these bbs 𼚠Thank you thank you everyone who has supported and followed along with this series - you are all as dear to me as Pretty Bird's garlic knots are to Mayfeld đĽšđĽ° (I still plan on publishing that recipe!)
Dividers by @saradika-graphics as always! 𼰠/ Series Masterlist
Just before your finger is about to press down the call button on the outside of the closed metal gate, you retract your hand and look questioningly at Din.
âHow many am I allowed to get again?â
Din stares at you for a second to ascertain if youâre kidding and when he sees youâre not, a little panic sets in on his face, âOne, pretty bird. Just one.â
âButâŚâ
âWe only made arrangements with the airline for one, baby.â
You pout a little, but know Dinâs right, âOkay. Fine. One.â
Somewhat dejectedly you press the button, though the chorus of barks and yelps from the other side of the gate resulting from the chime of the bell perk you up immediately, and by the time the gate is buzzed open with a loud brrrrzzzt, youâre giddy with excitement again.
This is the last planned destination of the European trip you and Din have been on for the last three weeks, both of you looking forward to flying home in just a few days.
The vacation has been an absolute dream. You and Din have eaten your way through Amsterdam (Stroopwafels! Bitterballen!), then Paris (Steak frites! Macarons! Croissants! One, sometimes two baguettes a day!), followed by Rome (Gelato! Pasta until you exploded!), and then finally Barcelona (Paella! Bombas!) before ending up where you are now: Andalucia, Spain, outside the gates of the 112 Carlota Galgos dog rescue.
The happy and excited woofs from the still unseen pups remind you so much of Alfredo. Gosh, you miss your best guy so much â although, if the daily photos and videos youâve been receiving are to be believed, he might be hard pressed to leave Pazâs when you get back. By now a minor celebrity in Din and Pazâs neighbourhood, youâre happy to see that Alâs been making the rounds at the local shops (and accepting generous samples everywhere he goes), enjoying fun road trips to nearby hiking trails, and most importantly, helping Paz cement his image as an attractive, eligible bachelor about town. Youâre sure if you were to peek at Pazâs dating app profile, youâd see it updated with copious pictures of him fawning over your dog.Â
Originally, you had been hesitant to have Paz take Al to his place for three whole weeks, wondering if it was better if instead, Paz could come and dog-sit at your and Dinâs place â but Al does seem to be adjusting to being away from home just fine. Though Alfredo is generally super easy going and adaptable, you nevertheless recognized that it had been quite a year of transition and multiple upheavals for your pup and worried about how he might cope with yet another change in scenery.Â
Nearly a year ago, you and Din moved in together and Al had been uprooted from the only home heâs ever known. Though it wasnât without some understandable disinclination that you left your beautiful and much-loved apartment, both of you agreed it made perfect sense for you to move into Dinâs place above Mandoâs. Of course you loved your old place â you had poured so much of your heart and soul into making it your refuge and the perfect home for you and Al, but you couldnât find it within yourself to regret leaving â Din is your home now, as you are his.  The only safe haven you need is the one with him, and though youâre sure he would have moved without hesitation if you had asked, the idea of Din leaving a residence right above his place of work, in a building he already owned, was too silly to even entertain.
To try and make the adjustment as smooth as possible for his pretty bird, Din had given you free reign to redecorate, bring in your furniture, and make whatever changes you wanted in order to make his, now your, apartment feel more like home. The third floor of Mandoâs would always hold his most cherished memories of his childhood and father â he didnât need it to look a certain way or have it maintained as some kind of physical shrine in order for that to be true; Din was ready to make a home and new memories with you. It was sweet and you appreciated the gesture prodigiously, but aside from adding your own bookshelves and swapping out a couch, the only thing you had asked for was a bigger kitchen. Din had readily agreed and even suggested he build you an expanded closet and turn the second bedroom into a home office-dog den for you and Al. Dinâs enthusiasm and eagerness for the project was enough to have you agreeing to his considerate suggestions.
What had followed was seven months of renovation chaos, living out of and tripping over boxes as a slew of tradespeople and workmen paraded in and out of what was supposed to be your new sanctuary.Â
You love Din with all your heart, and one of the things you love most and find endlessly attractive is just how good he is at the things he does: taking care of you and Al, supporting the community, running Mandoâs â to say nothing of the skill and prowess he displays in his work in and out of the ring; just the sight of Din running drills with his boxers or deftly commanding the Mandos gets you weak in the knees.Â
But elaborate home improvements and remodelling? Unfortunately, not part of Dinâs impressive skill set. Nor any of the Mandos for that matter. For two weeks, every Mando on payroll seemed to be over at your place âhelpingâ with measurements and the demolition of the kitchen and the wall between the two bedrooms. Only after a burst pipe and the subsequent three weeks of living with drying fans running 24/7, did Din concede it was time to call in professionals. Then came a parade of contractors and their respective plumbers, cabinet guys, drywall, tile and marble contacts, electricians, etc. â who all seemed to owe some kind of âfavourâ to Boba. The good thing about that was they were committed to doing a good job; the bad thing was that no one was particularly dedicated to doing a fast job. For the next five months, you, Din and Al lived in a construction zone of various partially started and finished projects with different strangers coming in and out of your place at all hours of the day â it had stressed Al out endlessly.
A little over half a year after moving in with Din, you hit a breaking point and, with Dinâs encouragement, packed a suitcase and took Al to stay at Beaâs until a firm completion deadline could be negotiated with the various contractors. Din had insisted on staying behind to lead the "negotiations" and "supervise" the follow through; lo and behold, everything had been completed to perfection and cleaned up thoroughly two weeks after. Upon seeing the beautiful finished space, you finally felt at home â though frustrated, you hadnât ever been terribly mad about the whole situation, but it had been a very confusing time for your pup.
Din had felt awful â this wasnât the symbolic big step and storybook start to your lives together that he had envisioned. You either, if you were being honest, but it genuinely mattered very little in the grand scheme of things; you reminded Din, as the two of you christened every surface of your brand new kitchen, that your lives together had really started a year before moving in together, when he had taken his own big step and shown up outside of your office, making you the promise to be open and honest about everything.
And he had. Din had forgiven himself and won you back, and these last two years have been the happiest of your lives, even with the renovations.Â
In that time a lotâs happened. Jimmy won another two division championships and moved up a weight class. Cass announced that her and Rikard were expecting. Roryâs bridal boutique expanded to a second even more successful location and to her chagrin, she was promoted to manager. The second book in Beaâs series came out to amazing reviews and the anticipation and hype for the third (due out later this year) was through the roof. Poe decided to pursue and then successfully obtained his pilot license. You went up in his Cessna just once â the views had been unforgettable, Lisa getting sick in your lap no lesser so. Katie guest starred on Law and Order â twice (two different characters). You met the Mods. And Al finally settled into his new home, overseeing his new kingdom from the plush and cozy dog den that his dad lovingly built for him.
And now you and Din are about to take another big step together.
Greeted enthusiastically by one of the women who runs the Spanish hunting dog haven with whom youâve been conversing with over the past few months about adoption, you and Din take a tour of the facility before being led out back to meet the dogs.
Per Elennaâs guidance, you sit in a chair near the water bowls and let the galgos come to you on their own terms. Some, understandably, are shy and timid, wary of strangers â tentatively, they come and investigate you with their snoots, eventually accepting your gentle pats and scritches once they feel comfortable enough. Others have no such hesitation - tails wagging, curious and excited, they enthusiastically crowd you, nosing in for pets and try to sniff out the treats you have in your pocket. Your chest expands, heart nearly tripling in size to see these dogs get to be dogs again, as you rub their little faces and coo endless words of deserved praise at them for their bravery.
Maybe the plane will have room for another crate, you think, or two? You canât stop giggling as your face is licked and poked with wet noses, or when those same noses goose your tummy and legs, competing for the attention of your busy hands â youâre in heaven, nearly overwhelmed by all this furry cuteness. Surely Din cannot possibly expect you to limit yourself to one! Knowing the marshmallow squish that resides beneath his hard and steely frame, youâre willing to bet that Din has already softened his stance on taking home multiple pups. You crane your neck to see over the dogs, looking around the property to see if you can locate your boyfriend.
To your surprise, you find him not being surrounded by enthusiastic, bounding galgos, but alone - crouching near the ground and gently scratching a smaller fawn coloured dog whoâs laying on her side, her slender head lifted just slightly off the ground to lean into Dinâs hand.
âThatâs Lisette,â Elenna says when she notices you looking at Din and the fawn girl, âsheâs just come to us after this last hunting season - we found her in the street with a broken leg. Sheâs all healed up now but is still quite skittish, especially around men. This is actually the first time Iâve ever seen her let a man touch her, never mind a stranger. Your husband must have a very calming touch.â
âOh, heâs not my husb-â your voice trails off as you watch Lisette continue to happily receive Dinâs attention. Walking over, you hear him speaking quietly to her in Spanish.
âWhat are you telling her, Din?â
Din looks up, eyes soft and shiny, âJust telling her what a good girl she is. Thatâs she so brave and sweet. And that she doesnât have anything to be afraid of anymore. Sheâs safe now.â
There is no question as to which (one) dog youâll be adopting today.
Lisette settles in quickly when you and Din get her back home, especially with Al immediately taking up his role as big brother. Lisette falls into the easy comfort of following his lead, regularly looking to Alfredo for guidance â he never leads her astray and the two of them become inseparable. With growing pride, you watch Lisette tentatively explore her new environment and slowly over the next few months, becomes more and more comfortable in her forever home: first your and Dinâs apartment, then the gym, whose enthusiastic occupants always greet her like the princess she is, and eventually the entire neighbourhood where sheâs never without her protective brother by her side. When sheâs ready, you and Din take her and Al out on further away adventures: to your and Dinâs favourite farmersâ market, Poe and Lisaâs (where you learn in their pool that Lisette can swim!) or to Boba and Fennecâs where she can run and play with Mochi and the other Daimyo Dogs. Your heart positively kvells as Lisetteâs confidence grows and she becomes the happy pup she deserves to be, putting her less than ideal start to life behind her.
The only thing you wish you could change, though you would never push, is that Lisette wonât cuddle with you - she only ever cuddles with Din. You know she loves you, but sheâs very much a daddyâs girl and heâs the only one with whom she feels safe enough to have in such close proximity while sleeping or relaxing.  You donât begrudge Lisette at all for feeling this way; Din is her protector, she trusts him to keep her safe - you understand the comfort of that feeling better than anyone.
And in truth, you love watching them together â seeing your sweet girl so at ease and your strong, formidable warrior melt into a puddle of goo when she burrows into the warmth of his lap. Din talks to Lisette in Spanish all the time, repeating what he told her back in Andalucia: sheâs safe now, she doesnât have to be scared anymore - this is her home.
Your home feels complete now â thereâs nowhere you would rather be than cuddled up on the couch with Din, each respectively loving on the pups that have curled up against you: you, Al and Din, Lisette.
Then one day, youâre on the couch tapping away on your laptop when Lisette saunters up to you. You rub her little head and give her a little smooch on her snoot as she walks by, fully expecting her to wander away but she surprises you to no end when she hops up on the couch and curls up by your feet. Terribly delighted but not wanting to spook her, you pretend like itâs no big deal â your heart, however, is doing jumping jacks; looking up with a big smile you see Din nodding encouragingly at the both of you.
And then she does it again. And again. At first still staying arms length from you, she inches closer and closer, little by little. Though your chest is exploding and you want to shout with joy, you always remain calm and give Lisette copious amounts of quiet praise after sheâs settled. To celebrate this progress, Din will eventually come over to shower Lisette with additional treats and Spanish words of adulation that she happily accepts. Sometimes you even catch him encouraging her before she comes over to you or see her looking back at him for reassurance before she climbs onto the bed or couch to sit with you. Always her protector, her safe space.
It's slow going, but worth it.
Today, youâre on the couch having just finished a book, funnily enough itâs the most recent in the fantasy series that Din had bought you and your friends on that first day you met nearly four years ago, when you see Lisette moseying on over to you. You swing your legs off the couch and pat the spot next to you, and to your delight, she hops up and starts to do her little nesting circles, prepping for her laydown spot. When she finally settles, she lays her little head in your lap and you think your heart might burst. You look up and see Din, handsome and relaxed, leaning against one of the bookshelves looking at the both of you with an adoring expression on his face. You beam back - yep, the two of you are his girls. The ones he takes care of. Looks after. Loves.
Lisette nuzzles her furry little face deeper into your thigh and you canât help but giggle at the sensation. âOkay, okay,â you chuckle, as if you needed any invitation to pet and love on her. Dispensing gentle scritches all over her head and little ear rubs, you notice that your sweet girl has an extra collar on. Normally Lisette wears just a martingale and sometimes nothing at all when sheâs at home, but today, sheâs got a thin rope collar encircling her neck as well. Rubbing it between your fingers, you say to Din, âThis is pretty! When did she get this house collar?â
âGot it for her a while ago, but thought Iâd wait for the right moment to put it on. Do you like it?â
Lisette lifts her head and you take the opportunity to take a closer look at the pretty pink collar; admiring the delicate metalware and the luxurious feeling fibres of the rope, you run your fingers over the collar until you get to the small clasp in the front and feel something you donât expect. Rotating the collar around Lisetteâs slender neck so you can get a better look at the thin object, you gasp when it comes into view.
A diamond ring.
Din, with Al by his side, starts to walk towards you, the look in his eyes clear and so easy to read: Devotion. Adoration. Love.
âPretty birdâŚâ he starts. Din has an entire speech planned. He needs to thank you for coming into his life and showing him what true strength and power is. Grace, honesty, and compassion have been your gifts to him, and heâs a better man, a stronger man, for your kindness and generosity. He wants to promise you that your faith in him will never be misplace â that he will cherish you and your heart to the very last beat of his own and beyond. He loves you, admires you, trusts you, is in awe of you, and remains forever grateful for you. Grateful for every smile you throw his way, every laugh you pull from him and allow him to draw from you, thankful for all the ways youâve woven yourself into his life and made it better. And above all, grateful for your acceptance and love for him and all that he is, was, and ever will be. He needs to ask you if you will allow him the honour of spending the remainder of his days showing you his gratitude and loving you the way you deserve.
Dinâs heart is overflowing and he has so much he wishes to express; heâs not entirely sure heâs going to be able to make any sense. But Dinâs not nervous - the radiant smile on your beautiful face as he approaches already telling him everything he needs to know.
Real life Lisette!! đĽ°đĽ°

Iâm going to repeat what I said in my DMs to you because I need everyone to look at this. Look how perfect it is! Iâve been longing for Steve/Tony road trip art for years and you brought it to life in a way thatâs funnier and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.Â
I'm cracking up over Steve dropping everything he bought. He's out of food and drinks and he just wasted his money, but who can blame him because of DAT BOOTY. Good thing heâs dating a rich boy because he can afford spilling everything and going back inside to get their lunch again!
When I requested a vintage vibe, like something youâd see in a postcard, this is what I was looking for and more.<3 You understood what I meant instantly. I canât get over the gas station design. I love its vintage look sooo much. There's a timelessness to it as well as the clothes they're wearing. This could be in the 1950s or it can be 2023 because they're in the middle of nowhere. And the colorssssssss. You got what I was hoping for perfectly! The art gives off that vintage postcard look between the soft pastel colors and warmth and the texture overlaying the whole piece. Not only that, but the saturation is kind of muted so there's this nice faded quality to it and it fits the environment too.Â
Going back to the clothes, IÂ LOVE Steve when he wears a leather jacket so you made the perfect Steve. And I love it when a guy wears a simple white shirt and jeans because it's plain, but if you're hot, then you can make it very sexy and look at Steve and Tony being very beautiful. It proves my point. đ
Thank you so much for this gorgeous gift!<3
Awooga
#stevetony#fanart#gifts#LOOK AT THIS ART! IT'S PERFECT#steve and tony on the road with no particular place they need to be#they're already there because every place is their dream destination#because they're with each other on the road free and without a care in the world and so deeply in love#when they're old men they'll sort through their photographs of their cross-country trip and say 'remember when'#and then follow it up with 'what if we did that again?' so they set out on another trip decades later on their anniversary

Love Story
Summary: You and Emily both propose on the same day during your vacation.Â
Pairing: Emily Prentiss/Reader
Word Count: 1986
Ao3Â
You closed your eyes, letting the salty ocean air fill your lungs. One arm rested on the balcony railing outside the hotel room you shared with your girlfriend, Emily, who was fast asleep inside.
In the two years youâd been with Emily, this was the first vacation youâd taken together, and you couldnât resist the idea of watching the sunrise at least once on this trip.
So youâd dragged yourself out of bed, still in your pajamas, and stood at the edge of your balcony, waiting for the initial whispers of sunrise to appear. Emily had never been an early riser, so you knew better than to wake her.Â
When you opened your eyes, you could faintly spot, where the sky kissed the ocean, hints of orange and yellow. You were so mesmerized by the sight that you didnât hear your love walking up behind you until she spoke.Â
âHey, you,â Emily said, wrapping her arms around your torso and setting her head on your shoulder. âWhat on Earth are you doing awake at this hour?â
You giggled. âI wanted to watch the sunrise. You can go back inside; Iâll come back to bed after.â
Emily nestled deeper against your shoulder and hummed. âIâm okay right here.â
As profilers with the FBIâs Behavioral Analysis Unit, time off wasnât easy to come byâespecially for two of you at a time.Â
Fortunately, the teamâs caseload lightened up in time for you to take a week off, right around your second anniversary, and with it being January and miserable in DC, your destination was an easy choiceâHawaii.
Emily, ever the world traveler, knew of an amazing resort on the beach in Oahu, so you left the planning in her hands.
You had your own agenda for this trip. And today was the day.
As the sun rose higher, yellows and oranges won their battle against the dark blue sky, making way for light blues and pinks.Â
The air was humid, and getting warmer with the sunrise, but you had never felt so content.Â
âItâs beautiful,â Emily murmured. You nodded in agreement.
You knew after three months of dating that Emily was the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. But you only got one chance at a proposal with your dream girl, so planning proved to be more difficult than anticipated. And while you considered your BAU team your family, you knew that if you told any of them, the secret would be out within an hour. So confiding in them was, unfortunately, not an option.Â
As soon as the trip was booked, you knew this was your opportunity. Buying the ring was easy; youâd both known what you wanted and had openly discussed it almost the entire time youâd been together. Hiding the ring was harderâyou had to move it every few days in case Emily decided to snoop.Â
She always had a sense for secrets and sniffing them out.Â
You blamed yourself for falling in love with a profiler.
âWhat do you want to do today?â Emily unwrapped her arms from you, and as soon as her touch was gone, you missed it. She took her place next to you, leaning against the balcony railing.Â
With vacations being so rare for you both, youâd decided together that you didnât want to plan too much and overbook yourselves. Instead, you made a few dinner reservations and left it at that.Â
âSeems like a good day for the beach,â you said, nodding at the so-far empty beach below you. It wouldnât be that way for long, you knew. But you werenât in a hurry.Â
âWhatever you want,â Emily smiled. âBut first⌠back to bed?âÂ
You took your girlfriendâs hand with a smile of your own. âWhatever you want.â
***
Some time later, you and Emily were perched in lounge chairs on the beach. At first, you werenât sure if you remembered how to relax, but laying back on a chaise in your favorite swimsuit next to your favorite person in the worldâyou remembered.
Your only request when Emily planned this trip was that one of your dinner reservations was on your second night. The first night you knew youâd be too tired from the travel, but you wanted to propose at the beginning of your trip so you could spend the rest of your time off celebrating.Â
But the more time you spent on the beach, the more you started to look at your phone, wondering how early was too early to start getting ready. You wanted to look nice but not so nice that youâd make Emily suspicious, and finding that balance wasnât going to be a short endeavor.
You opened your mouth to ask what time your reservation wasâeven though youâd engrained the time in your memoryâwhen Emily spoke up first.
âWe should head back soon if we want to make our reservation,â she paused. âIf thatâs alright.â
âIs it that time already?â you asked, forcing nonchalance in your voice. To aid in your ruse, you glanced at your phone for the tenth time in the last half hour. âYeah, letâs head back.â
You tossed your towel around your waist and headed back to the room in a comfortable silence.Â
Your hair took longer than Emilyâs to style, so you mutually agreed to let you shower firstâfighting the urge to ask Emily to just shower with you, but you couldnât afford the time you would loseâand took the time to run through what you wanted to say when you proposed.Â
Your reservation was early enough that you hoped to walk back on the beach during sunset, and thatâs when you would get on one knee and ask her to be your wife.
It would be perfect; you were confident.Â
***
You paused in front of the full-length mirror, appraising yourself. Your hair was curled and half-upâthe beach was windy earlier, and you didnât want to be eating your hair when you proposed. Your makeup was light, and youâd decided on a black romper. Youâd packed a few sun dresses just in case, but you didnât want to flash anyone when you got on one knee.
How did people do this? Your palms sweat just thinking about what was coming.
Across your body, you had a simple black bag, just big enough for your phone, wallet, and ring case.Â
As soon as youâd dressed, youâd thrown the bag over your shoulder and kept it close. The last thing you needed was Emily throwing her phone in your purseâsomething she often did, as she didnât usually like to carry her own bagâand stumbling across the ring box.Â
But when your beautiful girlfriend stepped out of the bathroomâher raven hair curled and bangs perfectly styled, dressed in a skin-tight red dress that took your breath awayâshe had a similar black cross-body slung over her own shoulder.
In hindsight, that shouldâve been the first clue of many. But you were too preoccupied with your own secret to pick up on hers.Â
âStunning,â you breathed, leaning forward to kiss your love.
âI know you are,â her mouth smiling against your own, âbut how do I look?â
You giggled, heart bursting. It took all of your willpower to not take out the ring box right then and get this whole thing over with.
But she deserved a proposal more special than one in a hotel room, so you bit your tongue.
âReady to go?â
She nodded. âReady when you are.â
You laced your fingers through hers and followed her out of the room and through the hotelâs doors.
âI thought weâd walk, take the scenic route, since we have some time,â Emily said. âThe beach will take us right to the restaurant.â
Your heart skipped a beat. If you took the beach on the way there, would she think twice about you requesting the same on the way home?
No, you thought. What sheâll find weird is if you say no right now.
So you swallowed your panic and pressed a smile across your features. âWhatever you want, love.â
She squeezed your hand and took the lead.Â
âAre you having a nice time?â Emily asked. You werenât sure if you were just projecting your feelings onto her, but did she sound⌠nervous?
âI could stay here forever,â you answered. âI donât know how we can go back to winter in DC after this.â
âYouâll be ready to get back to work by the time vacation is over,â she said with a wink. âI know you too well.â
âHmm, I donât know,â you sang. âI think I could stay here forever with you and be perfectly happy.â
âDonât tempt me.â
You opened your mouth to suggest honeymooning here, but caught yourself before you gave yourself away completely.Â
Instead, you turned to stare out at the water. âItâs a beautiful view.âÂ
Your walking slowed before coming to a halt, both of you admiring the crashing waves lapping not far from your feet.Â
âIt is,â she said.
You turned to find her eyes boring into yours and flushed.Â
âThe two years Iâve spent with you have been the happiest of my life,â Emily said with a sincerity that stilled you. âI never knew I could love somebody this much until I met you.â
Tears prickled at the corners of your eyes. Emily released your hand, and you contemplated reaching for your purse. Was this the moment youâd been waiting for?
âI feel the same way,â you said, fighting the lump in your throat.
âIâm not always the most eloquent with words,â she admitted, patting at a stray tear in her eye. You chuckled, thinking of the times she couldnât place what she wanted to say and started mumbling in other languages until she figured it out. âBut I need you to know that youâre my everything. My love, mi amor, mon amour, amore mio, moya lyubovâŚâ
She trailed off, reaching into her cross-body and pulled out something she concealed in her hands. You frowned.
âI know you love it when I speak French,â she said with a mischievous grin, kneeling down before you, on two knees instead of one, due to the dress she wore. âSo, Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, veux-tu m'ĂŠpouser?âÂ
You froze. You knew what that sentence meantâit was one youâd looked up online and practiced relentlessly in the mirror to get your pronunciation just right for your proposal, as you knew French was her favorite language.
When you didnât answer, she translated, âWill you marry me?â
Tears poured from your eyes. When you opened your mouth to answer, a laugh bubbled up instead.Â
Now it was Emilyâs turn to frown. âLove?â
Once you started, it was impossible to stop. You fell to your own knees in front of her, laughing and crying in equal measure. Her eyebrows furrowed in concern, but you held up a hand.
âYou had to beat me to the punch, didnât you?â
âI donât understandâŚâ she said.
You reached into your bag, procuring your ring box, clearing the tears from your face with your free hand. The rest of your speech was moot now, but you couldnât let the French you learned go to waste.Â
âEmily Elizabeth Prentiss, je t'aime de tout mon cĹur, et pour toujours. Veux-tu m'ĂŠpouser?âÂ
Emily gaped, glancing from you and the ring in your hand to the ring in hers. In the blink of an eye, her own face was covered with tears.
âYes,â she gasped.
âMe too,â you whispered.
You exchanged rings, not even taking a moment to admire the fact that, of course, she got you the exact ring you wanted, before throwing your arms around your fiancee and pressing your lips to hers.
When you finally pulled away, you couldnât wipe the smile from your face.
âWeâre not making our dinner reservation, are we?â
âGod, I hope not,â she breathed before pulling you in again.Â

Nayeon x Reader: It's always you
Permanent Taglist: @cwpiqwon @justme-idle
A/N: Does this make complete sense? Not exactly A/N2: Also, thanks to my illusion bois for helping me proofread/helping me do this(my bad @alcoholfreenayeon, ms spout is not gonna do well in this fic)
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. She saw your eyes flutter open, stretching your arms groggily. âYou. Itâs always you.â You mumble with a sheepish smile, Nayeon playfully giggling before flicking you on the forehead.
âFlirt.â Nayeon said with a blush, yelping as you suddenly wrapped your arms around her waist, pulling her back onto the bed with you. After a short while of tussling, Nayeon finally got up. âAlright get up, We canât spend the whole of our anniversary in bed.â Nayeon goes to her dresser, tying her hair up into a ponytail before reaching around her drawers. âWhy not, Iâd think weâd enjoy that very much.â You say, earning you a shirt to the face. âI will spray you with the hose.â Nayeon chides, but still unable to hide her smile in the mirror. âBesides, Iâve made plans for our 2nd anniversary seeing as weâre both on leave.â Nayeon said as she began her makeup routine. âOh, do tell.â You say, wrapping your arms around her midriff, throwing her into a back hug as you rested your chin on her shoulder. âNo spoilers, but I guarantee youâre in for a surprise.â Nayeon said, leaning her head toward yours. âI swear, if weâre going to that one restaurant where I accidentally ordered the most spicy instead of the least and didnât want to return it, Iâ-â You began, but you were quickly stopped by a finger to the lip. âNo need for swearing, my dear, and weâre having dinner there.â Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out as you rolled your eyes. âWell good luck then, youâll be eating dinner with someone wearing a penguin mask.â You retorted, causing Nayeon to scrunch her nose in confusion. âWhat penguin mask? Oh, you mea- I swear to god youâve been spending too much time with Mina.â Nayeon replied, a look of mock horror as you waved the penguin mask in front of Nayeon. âIf I see that mask in our car later, Iâm locking you out.â Nayeon retorts, causing you to make a theatrical gesture of placing the mask on, eliciting a face palm from Nayeon. âI donât know why I married you sometimes.â Nayeon playfully jabbed. âBecause you love me.â You say, before making a cacophony of weird penguin noises. âYouâre right, because youâre my weirdo.â
The day went by in a breeze, almost a whirlwind of nostalgia and fun to be had. The date began with a trip to the beach, where you had first met Nayeon, who, despite her fear of the sea, was peer pressured into going for a swim with Jihyo and Sana, and promptly ran away from the sea, where she had fallen for you, both metaphorically and physically. Your back was bruised for a week, but on the bright side, you got a bruised back and her number, so you called it a win and moved on. The day continued with a bicycle ride through a nearby park followed by a picnic, the park where the two of you had your first date. Nayeon even went all out to recreate the exact date, the same picnic mat, the same burritos you had(that she made herself. She insists it's not as good, you know for a fact that it's amazing), everything short of time travelling and bringing you back to the exact day of your first date. After that picnic lunch, the final destination before dinner was a recreation centre, where the two of you engaged in sports like pool, darts, axe throwing, all of which she had lost to you. (She insists she was being chivalrous, youâre on the fence about that) âWhat a day.â You say with a tired but still jovial tone. âDayâs not over bub.â Nayeon says as she starts the car. As the car coasted down the highway, the two of you belting whatever songs were being played on the radio. Just as the two of you were singing out, you felt a strong jerk forward, the car spinning rapidly as you crashed into the road barrier. The events that soon came next were hazy, your ears ringing and feeling blood trickle down your forehead. You felt arms wrap around you, dragging you out of the car. âIâve got you baby.â Was the little you could hear as you saw Nayeon above you, in much worse shape than you were, but she persevered as she dragged you out of the car wreckage, an unholy meld of your black sedan and the otherâs blue van, collapsing just as she pulled you out to safety. The next hours were a whirlwind of chaos, as the ambulance arrived, whisking both you and Nayeon to the hospital. After some scans and treatments, the doctor diagnosed that your injuries were rather minimal, and that you would just need to stay for a short while for monitoring. âThatâs good to hear Doc. Howâs Nayeon? The lady I came in with.â You asked. âOh, Iâm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but itâs not looking good. Her side of the car hit the barrier so she bore the brunt of the impact. She has pretty severe internal injuries, and the doctors are planning a surgery now. âWhere is she?â You quickly asked, trying to get up from your bed, but your body still weak from the crash, you barely got one foot on the ground before you almost collapsed. âYou canât leave yet, your body is still weak.â âDoc, I need to see her, please.â You plead, as the doctor hesitated for a moment, before agreeing, bringing you a wheelchair. As you were wheeled to Nayeonâs ward, you began to hear rapid beeping from Nayeonâs ward. That couldnât be good. A whole horde of doctors and nurses quickly swarmed into the room, though you were forced to stay out of the room. It was all going to be okay, you kept repeating to yourself, but as time passed, you felt hope slipping away, especially as you peered into the ward, seeing Nayeonâs lifeless body being shocked, an attempt to kickstart her heart.
âTime of Death, 2208.â You heard the doctor say, and you felt your world crash around you.
You couldnât speak. You couldnât even think. As you sat in the wheelchair, your mind flashed back to the last time you had seen her. When she had pulled you out of the wreckage. The doctor said she had suffered much worse injuries than you did. ButâŚshe still saved you, she still pushed herself to the limit, exerted herself to make sure you werenât in danger. Could that exertion have killed her? âAre you related to the patient?â The doctor asked as she walked out of Nayeonâs ward
âShe isâŚwas my wife.â Was all you could say before being overwhelmed by a tidal wave of emotions. âOh, Iâm really sorry for your loss. She fought hard, but during the crash, she suffered numerous internal injuries. She suffered an injury to the chest during the injury that caused damage to her heart. We were able to stabilise her for a short while, but eventually her heart gave up. Iâm really sorry for your loss.â The doctor said, bowing slightly before walking away. âYou can see her if you want?â The doctor who wheeled you here asked. âIt was my fault.â You could only whisper. If it was Nayeonâs heart that gave out, then her saving you was most likely what killed her. Looking out of the window with tears in your eyes, you noticed a shooting star. Or was it falling. Like Nayeon, a fallen angel, a fallen star, the love of your life. Oh, what you would give up to save her. At that moment, the star froze in the sky. Everything froze, the beeping in the monitors stopped, the chatter of the nurses stopped. You looked around in confusion, what in the world was happening? Through the frozen bodies, a child walked through the crowd of bodies, a small packet of chips in hand. âHey kid, do you know whatâs going on?â You ask, realising that the only ones not frozen were you and the kid. âWatch who youâre calling kid, Iâm like a thousand years old!â The kid snorted. âWhat?â You asked in confusion. This all felt like a fever dream. What was this kid talking about? âDuh, you wished upon a shooting star, all that nonsense, now here I am. You get one wish. Make it quick, these things have validation periods and theyâre a bitch if you stall.â You look at the child in confusion, but the possibilities swarm your mind. Could you bring back Nayeon from the dead? âI canât bring her back. Not in any way that youâd want anyways.â The child says, seemingly having read your mind. âCan I go back in time to save her then? Let me wake up this morning again, and let me sleep to go back again.â You ask the child, and the child looks at you with a little concern. âAre you sure you want to make this wish. Go back to this morning, and loop yourself. Iâm not permitted to give you ideas for other wishes, but I hope you think through this clearly.â âIâm sure.â You say resolutely. Anything for Nayeon. âAlright, if you insist. What was the first thing you did or said today?â The child asked, a piece of paper appearing in his hand.
âI said to Nayeon, âYou, itâs always you.ââ You tell the child, looking at him in confusion. âAlright, listen to me carefully. Once the loop begins, you will be looped to this morning, but you wonât have control over anything until your first action. Thankfully, it was this morning so you have the whole day to do what you need. Before time can continue and you continue on your looped day, you need to say the first thing you said. Only then will the day continue. But until you do, youâll be trapped in that moment.â The kid explains to which you nod
âWait, how-â You were about to ask, but with a snap of a finger, you woke up in bed once again
And the Cycle begins
Day 2
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. You wanted to throw Nayeon into a hug, but you found yourself locked in place. After a short struggle, you remembered what the kid had said. âYou. Itâs always you.â You say to Nayeon, who playfully giggles before flicking you on the forehead. Worried, you quickly pull her into a hug. âYouâre okay. Youâre okay.â You mutter under your breath. Hearing this, Nayeonâs playful demeanour disappeared in a second, quickly sitting on the bed next to you, holding both your hands in hers. âAre you okay? Did you have a nightmare?â Nayeon asked, before putting her hand to your cheek, gently caressing it in an attempt to calm you down. âYeh, a nightmare. Something like that.â You muttered under your breath. âWell, whatever that nightmare was, you donât need to worry, Iâm here, Iâll always be here alright?â Nayeon whispered, her hand patting your back. She was right. You were going to make this alright. Taking a deep breath, you pull Nayeon toward you, leaving a long kiss on her forehead. âThank you, my love.â You say, collecting your thoughts. You had to act normal. You did not know what little errant act of yours would alter the day in unforeseen ways, and you werenât sure if that alteration would be better or worse. Besides, once you saved Nayeon, you didnât want this day to be one where she had all her plans for your second anniversary ruined. Youâd just save her before the car crash. âEverything okay now?â Nayeon asked worriedly. âOf course, letâs go get dressed, we have a long day ahead. I assume you have plans for the day?â You asked, causing Nayeon to smile in excitement, almost jumping for joy on the bed. âDefinitely, We canât spend the whole of our anniversary in bed.â Nayeon goes to her dresser, tying her hair up into a ponytail before reaching around her drawers. âWhy not, Iâd think weâd enjoy that very much.â You say, earning you a shirt to the face. Good, everything was going as it was. The day proceeded as expected, the beach, the park, the recreation centre, everything. Then, came the moment where everything had gone wrong. âHey Babe, Iâll drive. Just key in the location.â You say as the two of you left the recreation centre. âSo you can uncover my final surprise? Nuh uh.â Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out, causing you to giggle. âI know itâs THAT restaurant.â You say, causing Nayeon to pout. âAish, did Jihyo tell you?â She asked, to which you shrugged. âUgh, fine.â Nayeon said, tossing you the keys as you got in the car. As you drove down the highway, you and Nayeon sang the songs that came up on the Radio. But as you were driving, an all too familiar song popped up. The song you were waiting for. As soon as you heard that song, you began to nervously glance in the mirrors, trying to spot the van. Soon enough, it pulled up upon the horizon. The van was speeding, and fast. Keeping an eye on it, just as you saw the van reach you, you quickly swerved out of the way. âWhat was that?â Nayeon asked, hand grasping the handle at the ceiling of the car. âI did it.â You exhaled to yourself. âBabe look out!â You heard Nayeon shout, seeing a motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, speeding towards you. The crash was not as major as the previous one. But it was more than enough to cause damage. After the collision, the motorcyclist and his bike flipped, crashing into the car, the impact of which knocking you out, the last thing you heard being the distressed screams of Nayeon. Waking up in the hospital, you sat up with a splitting headache, an IV drip stuck into your hand. âWhat happened?â You lightly groaned as you asked the doctor next to you, before noticing Nayeon in the bed next to you, swarmed with doctors
âWhat's happening?â You try to ask, but your injuries stripped you of any energy to even speak out. âHands off. Clear.â You heard, and realisation dawned upon you. No. This couldnât be happening again. âTime of Death, 2208.â You heard the doctor say, and you felt your world crash around you, all over again âHow could this happen?â You mutter to yourself. You couldnât let this happen again.
Day 3 "Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. You knew what had to be done this time. âYou, itâs always you.â You say, leaning onto Nayeon with a sigh. âAre you alright?â Nayeon asked worriedly. âI just need a hug for a moment.â You whisper, Nayeon nodding as she holds you closer.
Okay, you anticipated not succeeding right away, you just had to try again

âHey Babe, Iâll drive. Just key in the location.â You say as the two of you left the recreation centre. âSo you can uncover my final surprise? Nuh uh.â Nayeon said, sticking her tongue out, causing you to give her a small smile. âJihyo told me.â You stuck your tongue out at her, causing her to roll her eyes. âUgh, fine.â Nayeon said, tossing you the keys as you got in the car. As you drove, Nayeon began to sing the song on the radio, but instead of turning down the highway, you continued along a different route. âWeâre talking about the same restaurant right? Shouldnât we go by the highway? If we go this way, weâre only going one big round, no?â Nayeon asked, looking at you in confusion. âJust wanted to take the scenic route.â You reply, fingers tensing around the steering wheel. âAre you okay, baby? We can go to another restaurant if youâre uncomfortable. I just thought we could have a laugh there, but if you donât like itâŚâ Nayeon trailed off, seemingly associating your bad mood with her choice of dinner location. âNo baby, its not that, I promise.â You reply, eyes still darting about âPinky promise?â Nayeon said in that voice, the voice you knew, and she knew, you couldnât resist. âOf course baby.â You say with a smile, left hand extending your pinky out, Nayeon smiling as her pinky hooked yours. Your heart threatened to jump out of your chest all through the drive there.Whenever a car so much as crossed your periphery, your mind immediately thought, how is this car going to mess with me. But through the ride, nothing happened. It was safe. Words could not describe your relief as you finally parked at the restaurant. âBaby, is everything alright? Youâve been acting weird ever since we began driving here.â Nayeon asked you while in line at the registration counter. âJust was a little paranoid. Heard about a few too many car accidents recently, so I was a little on edge.â You replied, Nayeon shooting you a weird look. There hadnât been any news about that recently. As you were about to get to your turn at the registration counter, you saw a woman in a hoodie walking out of the restaurant, suddenly bumping into you. Without a word, she hastened her stride, and runs off. âWhat the hell was that?â Nayeon asked, eyebrows furrowed. âI donât know, something wrong with that one probably. Ignore her, lets enjoy dinner.â You say, Nayeon smiling, nodding as she gave you a kiss on the cheek before walking into the restaurant with you. Once you were at your seats, you began to read through the menu. While you were reading the menu, however, you extended your leg, accidentally kicking a bag. That was odd. Looking down, you noticed a small bag on the ground. âHi, Sir?â You raised your hand, beckoning a waiter over to you. âHi, are you ready to order?â The waiter asked, taking out a small notepad. âNot yet, thereâs a bag here, I think a previous client left it here.â âIâll look into it.â The server picked the bag up, slowly walking over to the main counter. Looking at the bag, Nayeonâs eyebrows furrowed. She had noticed some wires protruding from the bag, and she heard a faint ticking sound⌠Nayeonâs eyes widened in realisation, especially hearing the ticking sound grow faster. âGet down!â Nayeon shouted, lunging at you, using her hand to keep your body low, draping her body over yours. Before your could even be confused, you heard a loud boom, the force pushing you to the ground. As the dust settled, chairs and tables in a frenzied disarray, you felt yourself get pulled onto a stretcher, your mind still a mess. Through all the mess, you were set down next to an ambulance, paramedics swarming the area, tending to the wounded. Seeing as you didnât suffer any serious injuries, you were left there, pretty low on the priority list. Looking around, you tried to find her, but all of a sudden, through all the noise, as if a mocking tune meant to twist the knife in your heart âIm Nayeon, Time of Death, 2208.â
Day 4
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. Your mind was still a mess. It seemed like the universe was conspiring to kill the love of your life. Well, not if you had anything to say about it. Because youâd try over, and over, and over again, until Nayeon was finally safe âYou, itâs always you.â You whisper

Day ???
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead. âYou, itâs always you.â You say, a tone that all but said you were defeated. âIâve gotta go.â You say, quickly getting up from the bed, going to get dressed. âDonât you remember what today is?â Nayeon asked, parts shocked, parts angry. Looking at her, your eyelids drooped, and you looked absolutely defeated. âThis is a throwaway day anyways. Iâll see you at the hospital.â You sigh, walking out of your apartment.
Walking to the bar, you went towards an unmarked room, pounding your fist against the door. âOpen up dipshit, itâs me, Y/N. Donât say youâre busy, donât say come back later, Iâm not in the mood.â You shout out. Opening the door, the aforementioned dipshit stuck his head out of the door. âHave I become that predictable? And of course, come on in.â He said, a hand gesturing into the room. âAlso, do me a favour, tell your secretary that youâll be receiving a call in roughly 37 minutes, just tell him to come back another time.â You say, crashing onto the couch. Looking at you in confusion, he finally nodded, texting his secretary, then sitting opposite to you. âGroundhog day, Nayeon, Iâm going insane.â You say, the three pieces of information being enough for the other man. âThat explains a lot. Whatâs the sitch?â He asked, pulling a whiteboard from the side of his office out. âIâve tried everything. No matter what I do, Nayeon ends up dying in the hospital, Time of death, 2208.â You say with a sigh, hanging your head low.
âOookay, you my friend, need a drink.â He said, sliding you a shot of gin. âNo, I need to have my head on straight for this one. I need to brainstorm a way to save Nayeon.â You decline. âAlright, tell me the details, weâll try to plan something.â He said, patting you on the back. âI know what Nayeon means to you. Weâll figure this out alright?â He said, to which you nodded, though masking a considerable amount of doubt. The same amount youâve had the last 20 times you were here. âHang on.â You raise a hand, halting him in his step as you pulled out a piece of paper. Scribbling around 30 or so lines down, you handed the paper to him. âWhatâs this?â He asked, scanning through the paper âYour last 30 ideas.â You deadpanned, letting out a sigh. A look of realisation dawned upon him. âOh, we have a mountain to climb then.â
âAlright, so what happens if you go home after the recreation centre then?â âWe get robbed, the robber's a trigger happy little shit. Tried it out like 20 different ways, no matter what I arm myself with, even calling the cops, the robber canât miss. In another life, sheâd probably be a sniper.â You sighed. âIf you drive around?â âCar crash, blue van, black SUV, a goddamn 5 tonner. You name it, it crashed into me. When I donât crash, Iâm not kidding when I say this, we get crushed by a landslide.âÂ
âOkay okay, scrap that, whatâs the furthest youâve gotten in your day without getting into an accident.â He asked, fingers massaging his forehead. âThe loop is similar to the second one. I ran out of ideas, so I went back with that plan. I took the wheel, and we drove to the restaurant that we originally booked, but I took a roundabout way. We got there without an accident, but once we got there, surprise surprise, there was a bomb there. There was this one lady who bumped into me, dressed shady as hell, sheâs the one who planted the bomb. I tried to take her down once, but that just resulted in the bomb blowing up earlier and killing Nayeon all the same. For this one, I called the cops prior, and they had cleared the place, successfully apprehended the criminal, then disposed of the bomb. Then, surprise surprise, the damn restaurant caught on fire. Thatâs the furthest I ever made it. This is the closest to 2208 I can make it without Nayeon injured or in the hospital, but that fire was too big, I couldnât get Nayeon out of it fast enough without the fumes getting to her or us getting trapped under debris. There were other similar situations like this at the restaurant, but thereâs usually some minor differences. Once, the bomberâs friends came back to shoot the place up, the other time, some stupid ass kid ran into Nayeon and she fell, hitting her head.â âOkay, Okay, so we work off of that. Tomorrow, before you start your little date adventure, call me. Tell me code black, and tell me what to do. Iâll get some of the boys to prepare. We know this route can go wrong in a few ways. So, first, call the cops, secure the bomber. That much is obvious. Continue the date as is. We canât really prevent the fire, given we donât work there, but Iâll get Samuel there with a fire extinguisher. Heâll hand it off to you before you go in, along with some gas masks. Wouldnât want the fumes to mess you up. For the shooters, Iâll have some of my boys guard outside, they see any rolling, theyâll call the cops. And for the dumbass kid. Well, just trip him if you see him.â He shrugged, causing you to nod. You knew there was no way to cover all your bases. The universe would try to throw anything it could at you, but this would work. âAlright, thanks bro.â You say, pulling him into a hug âNo problem. I know I wonât remember this, but you should go visit mom soon, sheâs been pretty bored recently.â He said, tightly embracing you. Once out of the hug, he put his hand on your shoulder. âThis is gonna work, kid. Have faith alright? But, yâknow, stay on your toes too.â He said with a small smile. âI really hope so, because I really donât know how many more of these loops I can take before going insane.â You say, letting out a hoarse chuckle. âAnd, 3,2,1.â You say, looking at your watch. Right on cue, your phone began to ring. With a sigh, you picked up the phone. âYes Natasha? Donât worry how I know your name, yes, Iâm Mrs Nayeonâs partner, Iâll be there in a short while.â You say, then hanging up the phone. âAfter this loop ends, Drinks on me.â He patted you on the back. âI look forward to it.â
Day ???+1
"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary. You're finally awake, what were you dreaming about? You were mumbling, and smiling a lot" Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead.Â
âYou, itâs always you.â You say, leaning onto Nayeon with a sigh. âAre you alright?â Nayeon asked worriedly. âI just need a hug for a moment.â You whisper, Nayeon nodding as she holds you closer.
As you leaned on Nayeonâs shoulder, you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. Today was the day. You were going to save Nayeon today. âHey babe, you can go get dressed first, I gotta call Dariusâ You said, Nayeon nodding. âAlright babe, say Hi to him for me.â Nayeon said with a hum, walking to her dresser. âCode Black, Iâll send you the details.â âRoger that.â
After typing out what you had discussed with Darius, you sent it to him, getting a thumbs up from him. âHey babe, how do I look?â Nayeon asked, drawing your attention. She stood there, twirling around with that cute smile on her face. âPerfect, as always.â
.
.
.
âNay, I gotta go take a call, can you wait for me by the car?â You ask, Nayeon nodding Once Nayeon was out of earshot, you took your phone out, dialling the police.
.
.
âHey Babe, Iâll drive.
As you drove, Nayeon began to sing the song on the radio, though pausing as she noticed you turning to the longer route. âWeâre talking about the same restaurant right? Shouldnât we go by the highway? If we go this way, weâre only going one big round, no?â Nayeon asked, looking at you in confusion. âJust taking the more Scenic route babe, donât worry about it.â You say with a small smile.
As expected, much to your delight, the ride there was a smooth one, though your mental preparations for the upcoming dinner from hell caused you to tense up quite a little. Reaching the restaurant, Nayeonâs eyebrow furrowed. âHmm, why are there so many police cars?â Nayeon looked around curiously. âMaybe there was some disputes here. Theyâre leaving now, so we should be fine.â You reassure Nayeon, who nods. Walking out to the counter, you see Samuel, a friend of Dariusâ, someone you had seen in passing but never really interacted with. âThe package has been set under your table. Here are the masks, godspeed my friend.â Samuel says, handing you the small pouch. You quickly take it, grabbing them and shoving them into your pocket. âThank you so much for this.â You thank Samuel, who returned a small smile. âAnytime.â
âWho was that just now? At the counter?â Nayeon asked as she browsed through the menu âOh, just a friend of Dariusâ. We were just exchanging pleasantries.â You reply, Nayeon seemingly satisfied with this answer. Looking around the restaurant, you seeked to remove the first and most minute possibility of messing up. âHey kid.â You beckon the boy over to you. âHereâs 10$, do me a favour, stay seated at your table alright?â You whisper, the boy nodding, taking the money before running back to his seat. âYouâre acting weird today.â Nayeon said in a joking tone, but you knew there was some serious concern behind that. âDonât worry about it babe, letâs order.â You reassure her. As the dinner went on surprisingly incident free, for now at least, you got a message from Darius. âAll clear so far. Besides, I heard on the news that the cops had made a big arrest on some of the members associated with the bombers, so youâre only left with the fire. Good luck.â As if a goddamn hex had been placed, almost instantaneously, you heard shouts from the kitchen, followed by some sparks. âBabe, I need you to listen to me very carefully, I need you to do exactly as I say for the next 5 minutes alright? Put this mask on.â You say to her, quickly taking the masks from your pocket. Nayeon looked in fear at the flames that were rapidly spreading, looking to you and nodding. âStay behind me, and when I say run for the exit, run.â You say, taking the bag off the fire extinguisher. âHow did y-â âQuestion for another time, letâs go!â You say, standing up as you pulled the pin on the fire extinguisher, spraying the gas at the sources of fire around you. As you were putting out the flames around you, your main priority was to put out the flames leading to the door, aiming to make a safe passage for Nayeon and other people in the restaurant. âGo!â You shout out, Nayeon making a dash for the exit, you follow close as you continue extinguishing the fire around you. When you were just about to reach the exit, you heard a loud creak, seeing the banner above Nayeon about to fall. âNo!â You scream out, lunging at her, draping your body over hers. The large banner crashed upon your back, knocking you unconscious, your last thought before you blacked out, a jumbled slurry of fear and pain.
âCan you hear me?â You heard a doctor ask as you were slowly regaining consciousness. âYeh doc, I can hear you.â You groggily reply, before your mind immediately sharpened. âWhereâs Nayeon? My wife.â You ask, before hearing a cough to your side. âLook around sometimes, baby.â Nayeon said weakly, though with a smile on her face. âNo, No.â You mutter, the memories of your first loop rushing in to your mind. âNay, are you alright? Are you feeling off in any way?â You quickly ask. âOther than a mild concussion and some scrapes, Iâm fine, thanks to you. My hero.â Nayeon said, a smile on her face. You looked around in confusion, till you finally saw it. 2210. You had made it. âYes!â You exclaim in excitement, before your wounds promptly put you back on the bed. âCalm down my friend. So, about your injury. Weâve done some scans, nothing serious, but weâd still like to keep you for observation for one day. And, it was very heroic what you did there, not just saving your wife, but you and the fire extinguisher. I heard from the other patrons who I attended to earlier, if not for you, most of them would have died in there, but thanks to you, the worst injury someone suffered was a mild burn. So, great job, and rest up.â The doctor smiled, gently patting you on the back before leaving the ward. âSo, my hero, mind telling me how you had those masks ready for us? And that fire extinguisher too?â Nayeon asked, curious. âStory for another day my love, for now, letâs just rest, alright? And, happy 2nd.â You say, causing Nayeon to chuckle. âWhat an eventful 2nd anniversary itâs been.â She says, to which you smirk. âYou have no idea. Good night babe.â You say, before shutting your eyes, a smile as you could already feel the beautiful horizon of the next day to come, itâs rays shining upon you
.
.
. As your eyes slowly opened, you shook your head a little, as if coming out of a headache"Hey Babe, Happy 2nd Anniversary." Nayeon whispers after leaving a kiss on your forehead, the rest unintelligible due to your still addled mind âBabe, what are you talking about, itâs not our anniversary anymore?â You tried to say, still not fully comprehending what she had said. But as you said it, you found that you couldnât move. And you werenât in the hospital, you were at home, time frozen as the exact scenario youâve woken up to hundreds upon hundreds of times played out the exact same way as before. No, it canât be. You won. You, against all odds, had finally found a way to save Nayeon. You did it. Right? As you were stuck there, frozen, a horrible realisation dawned upon you.
âYou. Itâs always you.â

Despite the ease electronic communication provides you, Santiago writes you letters, and sends polaroids. It may be the thing you love about him most - he wants you to have something tangible when he's not there to hold you, kiss you and gaze into your eyes.
Your collection of polaroids covers the side of the fridge, top to bottom, the bulletin board behind your bedroom door, you have a few on the bathroom mirror and even a couple in your car. Most of them tell the story, through scenery, of each and every place he's visited or worked.
But on really good days, you get a picture of him.
Santiago practically vibrates with energy - always on the move, ready for a mission or an adventure. When he's home, he inevitably takes on a project, hosts an entertaining barbecue, whisks you away to a special trip, and his stamina is no less vigorous when he gets you alone, between the sheets.
The mail truck rumbles around the corner onto your street, nudging you out of idleness. You rise to your feet, ready to collect the mail the moment the truck pulls up to the next driveway. Your bare feet hit the sizzling Florida pavement, hurrying you toward your destination.
But there is no letter, not today.
Slightly deflated, you rush back inside, grateful as the air conditioning kisses your skin. That's the thing about snail mail: it's unpredictable, which makes receiving it such a delight. Oh well, at least you'll be able to see your husband's face later when he calls.
Shuffling to the kitchen, you pour yourself some fruit infused water, rolling your eyes at how quickly the Florida heat can parch your throat.
Then you hear the front door open. The voice of your husband almost makes you drop your glass.
"Oh my god, Santi!" You screech, rounding the corner and flying into his waiting arms.
"Heyyy, mi cielo," he breathes against your ear as he holds you close. He's not a tall man, but he's a solid wall of strength - his forearms flexing along the curve of your back as he molds your body to his.
"How...are you here?" You gasp, sinking your fingers into the thickness of his salt and pepper curls.
"Home early," he states the obvious. "Missed you too much." His mouth chases after yours, tasting your soft lips one at a time. The heat of his breath melts you in his embrace, and it occurs to you that this experience far surpasses a new Polaroid.
"Let me take you out tonight, bebĂŠcita," he hums against your mouth between kisses. "Got you something pretty to wear."
You assume he's brought you a dress, but it's something much more...shiny.
"Don't ask me where it came from. I don't think you want to know," he cryptically warns, earthy eyes sparkling with a playful glimmer.
"Please tell me there were no drug lords involved," you half joke as he fastens a gorgeous diamond bracelet around your wrist. "Florida is way too close to all that shit."
"No drug lords. I promise." He grins, kissing your mouth for good measure.

Music pulses, colorful lights flash - the tang of alcohol fills the air. Santiago's hips move expertly to a familiar tune, the Spanish lyrics energizing the delicious Bachata he leads. You gladly follow, feeling success as a dancer, simply by matching his movement and energy.
Spinning you a few extra times to show you off, Santi grins as you laugh delightedly. You tend to recharge with alone time, but your husband needs this - friends, fun and some sort of action. You gladly give it to him, knowing that when he gets you home, you will have him all to yourself for days on end, with no one to disrupt your bubble.
âMi cielo," he cinches you tightly against him, the shift of his hips pulsing against yours, urging you to drag him by the collar to a dark corner. "Ready to go?"
You know he's not ready. But he checks in with you, just to be sure, to give you an out.
"Already tired after one dance, Garcia?" You tease, syncing the movement of his body with your own, the motion honestly a tad scandalous for the dance floor. "Thought you wanted to show me off tonight. Me and this mysterious bracelet."
He smiles brightly, the corners of his eyes crinkling with delight as he dips you and finishes the song with a flourish - trumpets wailing as the bongos boom out a fantastic finale.
"They're good," you huff out breathlessly, motioning toward the live band on the stage.
He nods, leading you by the hand toward the bar as the band eases into the next dance - a merengue.
The night goes on this way, with a generous amount of alcohol, a group of your best friends and a few sensational slow dances that have you desperate to get him alone.
During one particularly smooth Rumba, he kisses a trail down the side of your neck, the tequila lowering his inhibitions to a scandalous level. "Ready now, SeĂąora Garcia?" He smoothly husks, working his lips over yours and stealing your breath as his hips once again swirl into yours.
"Si, mi amor," you gush back to him, noticing the sparkle of your bracelet as he leads you outside by the hand.
A ride share carries you safely home, but Santi's long, dextrous fingers have already temptingly edged under the hem of your shirt, anxious for the caress you both crave.
"Behave yourself," you teasingly admonish, swatting his hand away even as he nibbles on your neck, his breath ghosting your skin.
"Can't wait to get you out of this and underneath me," he rumbles on your ear, linking his fingers with yours, simply because there is nowhere else he can put them without earning another stare from the rearview mirror.
"Hey," you whisper, returning the favor by breathing hotly, making him shiver with want. "What makes you think I won't be on top?"
He growls, gripping your chin with his free hand and opening his mouth over yours - the heat of his tongue setting you on fire. You forget, for a few heavenly moments, that you're in the car with a complete stranger.
*â§ď˝Ľďž: *â§ď˝Ľďž:*â§ď˝Ľďž: *â§ď˝Ľďž
Stumbling through the front door like teenagers, your husband can't help but manhandle you, shutting the door dramatically before pushing you up against it - his strong hands gripping your hips as he touches his forehead to yours.
"How uncomfortable did we make that driver?" He jokes between lingering kisses to your lips.
"Don't worry, I gave him a good tip," You remind him, locking your wrists behind his neck and arching against him temptingly.
You carry on this way, endlessly kissing, caressing, bodies craving contact at every point. Santi hooks your thigh around his own, thrusting slowly up into the center of you as his free hand slips back underneath your top. âYou really wanna do this here, bebĂŠcita?â He whispers between kisses.
Santiago is in amazing shape and youâre stupidly in love with him, but gone are the years of sneaking around for wild quickies against doors. StillâŚitâs tempting.
âMaybe not,â you smile against his lips. âGot something new for you too. Why donât I go change?â
âMmm, okay.â Although he agrees, he squeezes your hips, shifting up to rock against you with renewed vigor, lips trailing across your jaw to suck a mark into the flesh of your neck.
âGod, babyâŚâ you pant, meeting his thrusts eagerly, dizzy and euphoric from the alcohol and the dancingâŚand him.
âMissed you so much.â He clambers through the fog of his own lust and pulls you into a protective embrace, helping you stand up straight, so he can take you upstairs, as you requested.
But the world has spun off its axis tonight, and as he takes you by the hand once more, the way he loves to do, you find yourself stumbling down with him on the staircase, giggling like you did when you were younger - when he took your virginity and made you fall in love with him.
âShit, sorry,â he half apologizes, his legs falling open as you drape your body over his, your thighs spreading wide across his lap.
âTold you Iâd be on top,â you cheekily toy with him, shifting your aching core to rub over his obvious erection.
âFuckâŚhoney,â he growls, done with all the teasing and flirting. He pushes hungry hands under your shirt, feeling you up as his lips chase yours. As his tongue rolls over yours, he moans into your mouth when he feels the softness of your bra. You wore his favorite - the black lace with touches of emerald green satin. He bought it for you overseas - the biggest surprise of all being that he got the right size in a beautiful bra thatâs actually comfortable and supportive.
But thatâs how Santiago is: observant, beautiful, comfortable, supportive and sexy. Weird to have a bra remind you of your stunning husband but wellâŚ
He all but tears the shirt over your head, restraining himself only enough to keep from pulling or otherwise messing up your hair. Santiago is an expert at you. He knows when to push or pull or lead or follow - when to be rough or test your boundaries, and when to protect you and love you softly.
âYouâre so damn beautiful,â he rumbles, hands reverently steadying you on top of him by your soft shoulders, before he drags them down to cup your lace covered tits. You arch into his expert touch, slowly rocking in his lap, putting on a little show for him.
Youâve changed over the years. Your body naturally isnât what it was the first time he took you. But Santiago never ceases to make you feel prized and adored and so beautiful. He makes you believe it somehow, even when you silently criticize yourself in the mirror.
So you let him adore you - youâre safe with him as he touches you all over, worshipping your curves and soft, plush places.
âI love you so much,â you breathe out as he nudges at your stomach, attempting to get you to lift up so he can take off your pants.
âLove you too, baby. But Iâll love you more when youâre naked.â
You snort at his cheesy forwardness, realizing heâs a bit more horny while youâre swooning with romance. You are on the stairs, after all. But heâs determined, rolling you beside him and yanking at fabric until youâre bare from the waist down. So much for the matching cheeky panties.
You forget to care that he didnât mention them when he spreads your legs wide and drags his knuckles through your wet heat. The overexposure you feel dwindles away as he leans over to brush open-mouthed kisses against your stomach. Steadying yourself, you push your fingers through his curls. âThis isnât fair, babe. Youâre still completely dressed.â
Peering up at you through endlessly long lashes, he smirks. âI donât need to be naked to eat you out.â
âSanti,â you gasp in mock surprise, as he quickly and tauntingly kisses a trail down to your core. âWhat has gotten into you?â
He grins. "That a trick question? Oh shit - "
You watch him wince in pain. "Knees?"
He groans, nodding. "Knees."
"Come here, Papacito," you tease, climbing to your feet and offering him your hand.
The sight of you standing above him on the stairs, naked except for your bra and a sparkling bracelet quickly convinces him to follow.
You rush ahead of him to your bedroom, feeling a dizzy, freeing rush after a night of dancing and foreplay, but so ready to get this man of yours on your familiar, comfortable bed. After ordering him to lie down, you slip into the silky little number you ordered specifically for his next homecoming.
Slithering on top of him, you yank at his belt buckle.
âJust tell me what to do, mi reina. Make it easy for me.â He grins in self-satisfaction.
"I just want you out of these clothes," you fire back, wordlessly working him free enough for you to take hold of.
He groans out something incoherent as you tease the hot, heavy length of him, gliding your hand up and down his shaft.
"Just like that," he pants, his hips involuntarily bucking as you lean over and swirl your tongue all over his tip. "Fuck, I missed that." Slipping his hand around the nape of your neck, he has to restrain himself from thrusting up into your hot, wet mouth.
Santiago knows there's not another woman like you, anywhere. He's traveled over half the world, a couple dozen times over, so he knows. It's not just that you're beautiful. You radiate beauty. The trust you place in him and the freedom you give him to be who he is, to pursue his career, is as much a siren call, luring him back to you every chance he can manage, as it is a steady anchor for him.
As you take him deeper, his breath quickens at the thought of coming down your throat, but somehow, he's distracted by a need to reclaim you. To take possession of your body the way he dreamed of doing on the dance floor. As your lithe body swayed, matching his rhythm, following his lead, he noticed the men devouring you with their eyes.
He would grip your hips tighter, grind against you possessively and trail his lips down the side of your neck, marking you as his own.
But before he can claw his way out of the haze you're literally sucking him into, you pull off his cock with a pop, lips wet and pouting.
"Take these off," you whine, yanking at the waistband of his pants, attempting to pull them down over his thick thighs. "Can't reach all of you."
He surprises you by climbing off the bed to undress completely. With only moonlight spilling in through the bedroom window, he wears the vigor of his last mission on his skin, darker from days in the sun. His toned muscles flex with every motion, fresh bruises and old scars telling the story of his adventurous life.
You're way past giving him a lecture every time he returns home with a new piece of the story etched onto his skin.
Sitting up on the edge of the bed, you stretch out your fingers, tracing a healing bruise just under his ribs, situated beside a small, angry cut. Your eyes lock with his and he nods, letting you know that whoever inflicted this pain is taken care of. You press your lips there, learning the new marks of him, claiming this new part of him as your own.
"Show me where else," you plead, but he's shaking his head, easing down to hover you, his body flexing deliciously as he rolls you underneath him and covers your lips with his.
You moan into his mouth as his hands roam all over the shape of you, just like while you were out dancing, but wilder, more possessive. His tongue licks deeper as he grips your hips, positioning you underneath the hungry thrust of his hips against your thigh.
Your fingers slip around his neck, tenderly fingering the scar from his surgery before sliding into his hair, yanking hard enough to pull his mouth free of yours and earn you an appreciative moan. You yank again, harder, the leverage enabling you to pull your silk-covered breasts flush against the bare heat of his chest.
Slinging one leg around the back of his thigh, you meet his steady grinding eagerly, already panting as he smirks against your cheek.
"You've been wet all night, haven't you?" He teases, tugging your earlobe into his mouth. "All those men watching you dancing, but no one's touching my wife but me."
He sucks a mark into your neck, pushing one hand up your inner thigh, kneading the soft flesh, but stopping short of your aching, wet core.
"Wanted to touch you right here, make you come, soak those pretty panties," he taunts, tracing one finger over your puffy folds.
"Why didn't you?" A pout escapes your lips as you desperately attempt to shift your hips, to chase his fingers for any sort of friction. "Wanna come for you, Santi, show them I'm yours."
At that confession, he slides two thick fingers inside you, curling them forward into your spongy softness, beckoning your hips forward.
"Want me to finger you next time we dance, baby?" He huffs against your lips, rubbing the heavy length of his cock against the slick on your thigh, already dripping from your sopping core. "Wear a pretty dress for me and let me feel you up? You would be louder than the music when you come. Dirty girl.â
Your back arches off the bed at the sound of his voice goading you - something he does often during long distance sex. Your mind briefly drifts to the half dozen times heâs nearly taken you over the edge with his voice alone, uttering filthy things, finally allowing you to touch yourself for some gratification, or at least relief.
Before you can beg him to keep talking, he swipes his thumb over your clit, working a third finger into your hole, expertly coaxing your first orgasm out of you. Your thighs shake, chest heaving as you tremble and shudder around his fingers. âOh fuck, SantiâŚso good,â you pant. âMissed you so much.â
Chasing after his lips with your own, you press a tempting kiss to his mouth, licking it open even as he strokes you past overstimulation, smiling into your kiss as you squirm to get away from him.
âToo much?â he grins, nibbling your bottom lip, swirling his middle finger like a cyclone inside you, just because he can.
âNo. Want your cock.â You bite his lip and he hisses as you wrap smooth fingers around his hard, leaking length, pushing your thumb roughly over his tip.
Shimmying your hips closer to what you really want, you beckon him forward, rubbing his tip between your folds. But he resists you.
âSay that again,â he murmurs, biting gently on your jaw, then your throat, his hot breath making you tremble with desire.
Twisting your wrist, you work your hand up and down the length of his aching dick. âWant your cock. Want you inside me so bad.â Your tongue swirls inside his ear and he stutters out a gasp, shifting his hips to push his fat tip into your dripping hole.
He moans out your name, thrusting all the way inside. Your warm, wet walls hug him perfectly and he settles in that spot he knows you love. The stimulation and warmth of feeling him flush against you has you desperately rutting against him.
His hand grips your luscious thigh, pushing it up, folding you and opening you wider for him. Shifting his hips, he pumps into you faster, this angle hitting you so deep your head drops to the pillow as you whimper, overcome with how delicious it is to feel your husband, home, in your arms, in your bed, deep inside you where he belongs.
Grunts of pleasure pass his lips as he makes you his again, after weeks of nothing but a blurry, in-and-out video or sometimes, a crackly voice over a satellite phone.
âDonât know how I ever leave this pussy,â he huffs, his body rolling over yours, spearing you open, molding you to the shape of his cock after so long without it. âThatâs it. I fucking quit. Iâm gonna spend the next month inside you.â
You know heâs not serious. Not yet anyway, but you love to hear it when he reclaims you like this. How heâll forget everything else just to spend all his time coming inside you. And oh, does he make up for being gone when heâs home.
"This feels good," he sighs, hands tracing the shape of you through the silky lingerie you're wearing for him. His fingers drag and push the soft fabric until he's taking it over your head, licking his lips at the way your tits bounce as he fucks into you. "You feel better, though."
"Come here," you plead, luring him down all the way on top of you, kissing him wildly as his chest settles against yours. A light sheen of sweat forms between you, slick and hot as you sling your legs all the way around his waist, pulling him harder and deeper, if it's possible.
The thrusting of his tongue inside your mouth almost seems to match his hips and you grip onto him for dear life, holding him so tightly, your bodies rutting faster and harder in one deliciously fluid movement, so in sync you move as one.
The friction against your clit has you on the edge. You're unable to meet his hungry kiss with anything more than a long, breathy moan.
"Come on, baby, I'm so fuckin' close," he rumbles, his rhythm faltering as your walls hug his shaft, fluttering and pulsing, soaking his cock before you shriek in pleasure. Gripping him tighter, so wet and so tight he comes with you, filling you with his warmth, dragging his lips across your shoulder to bury his strangled cry in your neck.
You cradle his head, kissing his cheek, his ear, carding your fingers through his damp curls and whispering how much you adore him as he comes back to himself, finally going still, safe in your arms.
You rest there together, mouths fusing for a languid kiss, bodies joined and sated, sharing one another's breath. Santi holds you so close and you know he needs this. Needs to stay inside you, connected to you, wrapped up together, the heat of your bodies, your sweat and the slick between your legs raw and real and grounding for a man who has seen too much and is gone too often.
This is when Santiago is his most vulnerable, and inevitably makes his way to the question voicing his deepest fear. "Don't let me go."
"Never," you swear, wrapping your arms and legs around him tighter and squeezing him fiercely. "I'll always be right here, you know that."
He feels the slight scrape of your new diamond bracelet against the nape of his neck, toying with the scar from his operation. He knows diamonds won't make up for the fact that he's not here, and he doesn't want to pretend that it means something deep - such as he's with you whenever you wear it.
You're both years past that bullshit now. It's a beautiful piece and it belongs on his beautiful wife - it's that simple.
He asks you every time he comes home, if it's too much. Makes you promise you'll tell him if doubt has crept into the back of your mind. He does it now, and you know what he means.
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He kisses you again, his body finally relaxing completely.
"Besides," you tease, "You're going to be inside me for the next month, remember? So neither of us are going anywhere."
He was teasing about that. You know it and he knows it. But now that you say it out loud...
"Yes ma'am." The next mission can wait.

Part 2 - 'Baby #3'
word count - 9.7 k
The soft glow of the screen illuminated the dim room, casting a warm light over Trent and you as you nestled close together in your seat. The sound of a football game played in the background, but your attention was divided between the match and each other. Your head rested on Trent with your hand comfortably entwined with his laying over your stomach. You couldnât get enough of him lately and close was not close enough. The familiar scent and comfort of his cologne, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere you never wanted to leave.
âI havenât watched an adult moving in ages.â You giggled cuddling further into Trent in the cinema after an advert for a new film coming out soon flashed across the screen. It was just after dinner, youâd eaten and finished your outing to the farm and after some showers and baths following it you were now happily in Trentâs arms watching the footie match while Teddy and Theo occupied themselves. You really hadnât seen a proper movie you had wanted to in ages because of your babies. Honestly, you werenât even sure what was out at the minute. It had been a lot of Bluey in your house and lately, naturally⌠Shaun the Sheep.  Â
âAn adult movie, yeah? What kind of adult movies are you watching?â Trent teased you, squeezing your side a little as you laid tucked in his arms.Â
âOh stop! Thatâs not what I meant.â You playfully swatted at him. He gave you a smug smirk and raised his eyebrow if to say âreally?â âStopp! What? Are you watching any?â You asked with feigned annoyance at his assumption you had been. You bit your lip looking at the mischievous glint in his eyes.Â
âYeah, baby.â His confessional answer took you by surprise. When did this man have time to watch porn without you knowing was really what you were thinking. âYou make the best ones.â He continued with some cheek winking down to you before returning his gaze to the match. Of course, thatâs what his answer was. Despite being his wife, despite being glued to him for more than half a decade Trent was always greedy for you and the spicy videos youâd make together or send to him were always a more than welcomed treat.Â
âOh my god!â You groaned, rolling your eyes. You tried to wiggle away from him but he wasnât letting you go anywhere. He just held you tighter with a smug laugh and a few kisses. It was approaching your wedding anniversary once again and you really felt like things had never been better. Since you tied the knot, every year for your anniversary during the summer holiday you would take a trip to as many locations as years youâd been together. It was a sweet idea Trent came up with and this year you had landed on going to four islands in the caribbean for the four years of marriage. You did decide though that Teddy and Theo would join you on this one because you both wanted them to go to the destination.
âYou think weâll be able to find any sheep for Theo? Heâs going to miss his little wooly friends.â You teasingly asked after overhearing a squeal from Theo from the other room. Your eyes sparkling in the dim light as Trent chuckled, his laughter low and warm. He turned his head slightly to press a kiss to your temple, his arm tightening around you.
âWeâll find him some. I wonât lie, I'm a little over it. Iâm team Ted now. The smell isnât it for me but Iâll make it happen if thatâs what you want, baby. Iâll find the only sheep on the island if it means making you and our little lad happy.â Trent teased but with a hint of sincerity in his voice. You laughed softly, your heart swelling with affection for him. Trent had a way of making everything seem possible, of bringing joy and adventure into your lives, even in the simplest of moments. As you sat there, you found yourself thinking about your kids and how much they had grown before Trent cut your blissful thoughts. âHeâs so strange, baby.â Trent laughed to himself thinking about Theoâs surge of interest in farm animals.
âHeâs not weird! Heâs curious.â You feigned a faux pout to Trent. You knew he said it with cheek and didnât mean it seriously but you pretended to be offended by his critique of your perfect baby boy.
âHeâs curious and very funny. I love him, heâs goated.â Trent corrected himself with a bit more of a laugh and you rolled your eyes at his unintentional pun. Trent nodded, a proud smile tugging at his lips. âI just want to hold onto you forever, beautiful. My whole world.â Trent muffled into your hair after a comfortable silence simply enjoying the closeness and the quiet murmur in the cinema around you interspersed with squeals and giggles from outside it.Â
âPlease.â You childishly cooed, squeezing him more. âCan you hear them?â You smiled hearing Teddy babble away about something to Theo. They were playing outside of the room. You could still hear them though, it just sounded like gibberish. Teddy was an amazing big sister and they would be fine alone for small bits of time so you let them play, more than okay with some time with Trent.
âWhat are they on about?â Trent asked like youâd know. You shrugged. There were few things as cute and as funny as your toddlers conversing. They were in their own reality happy as can be.
âThank you for giving me my babies. Theyâre everything to me.â You sighed to Trent with a gentle smile.
âI loved every bit of it all, baby. Start to finish. Some parts were maybe harder than others but if it got us to right now, right here, I wouldnât change a thing. Do it all again with you, with them.â Trent kissed your lips with a hum holding you tight to him. The game played on, but your mind drifted somewhere else. You bit your lip, feeling a familiar nervous flutter in your stomach. You shifted slightly, glancing up at Trent through your lashes.Â
âSo you knowâŚâ You sheepishly asked Trent. Your voice was vague, but Trent knew exactly what you meant. He had seen the signs beforeâtwice actually. How you became even more affectionate, your desire to be close to him almost insatiable. How your need for him grew in these specific ways, the way you sought his warmth and touch. The signs had been unmistakable the second time and they were just as clear now to him.
âIâve had a hunch.â Trent cooed gently, his voice low and full of understanding but then flashed a heartbreakingly beautiful smile. He turned to look at you fully, his eyes searching yours. There was a knowing smile on his face, soft and reassuring. Your cheeks flushed with a mix of excitement and a little embarrassment. You felt your heart race, a familiar blend of anticipation and tenderness filling you. Trent squeezed your hand, bringing it to his lips to press a gentle kiss on your knuckles.
âWell⌠and your hunch isâŚâ You smiled at him with a twinkle in your eye. You laughed softly, your head dipping slightly in mock bashfulness. You leaned in closer, your lips brushing against his neck, your breath warm against his skin.
âNah, come on Y/N, did you take a test or not. Donât play with me. Are we having another baby?â Trentâs smile widened, his heart beating a little faster at your words. Your lips curled into a smile, tears filling your eyes as you nodded. Youâd taken a test because of a hunch of your own the other day and were still trying to think of a cute way to tell Trent till now but he figured it out on his own. You could feel that he knew. He did. It wasnât all that dramatic for him to find out this way, but it was romantic in the way that he knew you so well. He loved knowing you that well, how close you two were, how even after all these years, the spark between you never dimmed. He loved you. He turned his head slightly, catching your lips with his in a soft, lingering kiss. The warmth between you grew, the connection deepening with every shared breath. In that moment, nothing else matteredânot the game on the screen or the world outside the cinema. It was just you two about to embark on another adventure, wrapped up in each other, planning your future and cherishing the present. You felt a swell of happiness as you realized, once again, how truly blessed you were to have Trent by your side. âI love you, Y/N. More than anything in the whole world. Iâll never be able to understand what I did to deserve you but I promise I will never take what you or ourâŚâ He paused for a moment, beginning to smile. âThree babies for granted.â Trent whispered as the kiss broke, Trent rested his forehead against yours in the soft darkness. You smiled, eyes shining with tears of joy. You sat there, wrapped in each otherâs arms, dreaming of your next baby and the little life growing inside you, knowing that no matter where life took you, you would always have each other.Â
âDada? What doing?â Your moment of sheer bliss and emotion was sliced in half by the voice cutting through the room, one of your dogs trailing behind the little boy eager to find Trent.
âMy favorite things, mate.â Trent smiled seeing Theo come stand in front of you two. He looked so innocent. You just wanted to reach over and squish him. Eat his chubby little cheeks. He pulled at the sleeves of his Essentials hoodie covering his hands, making sweater paws like Trent did. Theo wanted to be just like him and he tried but what was funny, was that when he wasnât trying, he was probably the most successful. Theo swayed thinking for a moment. You figured youâd just let them have their conversation, staring at the other version of themselves.Â
âLike whats?â Theo asked as he moved to awkwardly try to get onto the seat. His tiny hands gripping the cushion with all his might. His chubby cheeks puffed up in concentration as he huffed a tiny breath, his brows furrowing in a serious effort. He lifted one leg high, almost too high for his own balance, and placed a wobbly foot on the edge of the couch. For a moment, he teetered on the brink of toppling over but managed to steady himself with a comical sway. With a grunt of exertion, he pushed himself up, his other leg dangling off the side as if unsure whether to follow.Â
âWatching footie, having a cuddle with mummy.â Trent told Theo extending his arm out to help drag him up. Theo kicked a few times, trying to find some leverage, and finally, with a burst of clumsy enthusiasm, he flopped his whole body onto the couch with Trentâs help.
âOh⌠like those too. My favorite too, dada!â A giggle escaped his lips as he landed, face first into the cushions, his legs still hanging off the side. He wriggled and squirmed, using his pudgy little arms to pull himself up further.
âYeah? Câmere then. Watch with me.â Trent smiled at Theo dragging him towards you and him. Trent loved that Theo loved footie. Watching matches with his son was surreal. Theyâd sit and talk about the game for hours it felt like. Theo asked all the questions Trent was dying to answer for him.
âAnd give mama kiss.â Theo tacked on telling Trent that was as equally as important as the game unfolding. Trent hummed, agreeing.
âIs that my Theo?â You cooed gently bringing him into a tight embrace. Theo mumbled a âhi mamaâ into your warm skin. âMy best and prettiest boys.â You cooed kissing Theoâs hair and then another to Trentâs chest.
âDada like football and mama?â Theo asked Trent wriggling in your hold to pick his little head up to look at his dad with naive innocence.
âLike both but I think mummy just edges it though, huh? What about you?â Trent asked him, running his hand over Theoâs freshly braided hair.
âYeah huh.â Theo giggled squirming to get Trentâs hand off him sillily. âLike mama more but like footie toos.â Your little boy confirmed. Trent confirmed his statement once again with a quiet âagreed.â He smiled looking at Theo knowing he was a mummyâs boy and he wouldnât have it any other way.
âTeddy girl, where are you, baby?â You called out into the room trying to see where she was after assuming she wouldâve tailed Theo into the room. âThank you, baby for picking me over footie. I know you love footie.â You whispered, kissing Theoâs cheek as he moved to wrap his little arms around your neck with a nod.Â
âDaddy! Guess what!!â Teddy was quick to run into the room with information for Trent after hearing your call, her eyes sparkling with happiness. She jumped on the sofa and immediately squished herself against him. Her face lit up with a big, joyful smile. She clambered further onto his lap, wrapping her small arms around his neck and nestling her head against his chest. Trent looked down at her, his heart melting at her affectionate gesture. He wrapped his arms around her little body, holding her close as he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head. Teddy giggled softly, feeling safe and cherished in her daddyâs arms. She looked up at him with pure love. You had no idea what she had to say but you were excited to hear whatever it may be.Â
You were due soon. Boy number two, baby number three on the way. This pregnancy had been calm, almost chill. This had been different from the start. With your first two, you had experienced so many ups and downsâmorning sickness, restless nights, constant fatigue and of course the chaos that followed in postpartum. But this time around, everything felt smoother, almost serene. The little life growing inside you seemed to bring a calm that you had never felt before, and you embraced it with open arms. This little baby was your peace. Trent noticed it too. He had been worried when you first found out, remembering how challenging your previous pregnancies had been. But every day, he saw the peacefulness in your eyes, the gentle glow of your skin, and the ease with which you moved. It was as if this baby had come with a promise of tranquility, a soft breeze in your otherwise bustling life. You had once worried about how you would manage it allâraising two energetic children while carrying a thirdâbut you soon discovered that you had more help than you could have ever imagined. Teddy and Theo were a dream. They seemed to sense the change in their mum and had grown into their roles as big sister and brother with an almost surprising maturity. Teddy, always the little helper, would sit next to you, her small hands patting your belly with gentle care. You would smile, her heart swelling with love. You softly would brush Teddyâs hair back and kiss her. You were so grateful for her sweet nature and her ability to fall into her big sister role with ease. Theo, on the other hand, had become even more of a cuddle bug. He would climb onto your lap, nuzzling into you, content just to be close. He was still his silly, curious self, but he seemed to understand that things were a bit different now, and he was more than happy to be part of this new chapter. On one afternoon of the many days that had now blurred together as you were sitting on the sofa, Theo wiggled his way under your arm, pressing his face against your belly.
âBaby is in there. I cuddle, too.â Theo muffled, in his adorable, innocent voice. You laughed softly, your heart nearly bursting with joy at how naturally your babies had adjusted to the idea of a sibling. Teddy was particularly thrilled she was still going to be the only girl when she should out it was another boy. Very adamant that you and her were the only âAlszander Arnal girlsâ as she would say.
âYeah, sweetheart, baby is in mummyâs tummy. Heâs so lucky to have a big brother like you.â You kissed the top of Theoâs head. âYouâll be a little brother and a big brother like how daddy is. Youâre just like daddy, huh?â You cooed gently. Theo was gassed anytime he was told he was like Trent so he beamed hearing a new way he could be like him more so. Trent smiled looking on from the otherside of the couch with Teddy. He often found himself watching your family with a mixture of awe and gratitude. He was relieved and thankful that this pregnancy was going smoothly, but more than that, he was overwhelmed by the love and support that surrounded you. Heâd never seen you happier or more at peace, and it was all thanks to the little family youâd built together. He got up from the couch plopping Teddy on the ground. He walked into the out of the room quickly and then returned back to you. Trent sat down beside you, wrapping one arm around you. His smile was warm and full of love as he handed you a box.Â
âFor mummy and our newest baby.â He said softly, his eyes sparkling with joy. Before you could even start opening it, Teddy quickly climbed up onto the sofa alongside Theo, both of their little hands reaching out.Â
âMama! Need helps with daddyâs present?â Teddy asked you, her eyes wide with excitement, while Theo nodded enthusiastically with her, liking the idea of getting to open a present whether or not it was for them or not. You couldnât resist their enthusiasm.Â
âCourse, you can help me.â You laughed, handing the soft orange Hermès box in your lap over to them. They eagerly opened the lid with the kind of frenzied energy only children could muster, tissue paper flying everywhere. As an Avalon blanket was revealed, their faces quickly turned from excitement to confusion.Â
âA blankie, mama?â Theo asked, clearly underwhelmed and confused. Teddy leaned over to get a better look inside and frowned slightly, not quite understanding it either. You couldnât help but laugh softly at their innocence.Â
âYeah, itâs a really special blankie.â Trent explained gently followed by a chuckle, rubbing Theo's back with his condolences that it wasn't a more interesting gift in their opinion. âItâs not just any blankie though, lad. Daddy has given one of these extra special blankets to mummy every time weâve had a little baby. One for Ted, one for Tees, and now one for our new baby so mummy can have a cozy cuddle with each of you.â Trent explained with a warm smile, his voice tender as he pulled Theo into his lap for said cuddle. Trent looked at the soft, luxurious cashmere fabric inside the box. The blanket was exquisite, as it always was, each time. The beautiful, soft cream color of baby number threeâs was embroidered with your surname once again. It wasnât just the blanket itself that made your heart swell; it was the tradition behind it, the thoughtfulness of Trent in keeping up this gesture for each child.
âYeah, they're so special to mummy. I love these so much because I have one for each of my babies.â You cooed, kissing Teddy and Theoâs heads. âMy little Baby Alexander-Arnolds.â Your voice quivered, getting emotional. As you gently lifted the blanket out of the box, you couldnât hold back the tears that began to well up in your eyes. The reality of this new life growing inside you, the love Trent showed in his own unique way, and the excitement of sharing this tradition with your children â it was all so overwhelming in the best possible way.Â
âMama, tays?â Teddy asked worried after she noticed your tears first, looking up at you, concerned. Her small hand reaching out to touch your arm, scooting towards you on the seat. You nodded, sniffling through the tears.Â
âYeah, my Teddy bear. Thank you for asking. This is just so special to mummy. You Theo and daddy just make me really really happy thatâs all.â You cooed softly struggling to get words out. Trent leaned in closer to you, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you into a gentle embrace.Â
âYouâre everything to us, baby.â He tucked his face into the nape of your neck and whispered just to you, kissing your warm skin. Theo clumsily attempted to push Trent off your body to get to you. Trent laughed and let him move him.Â
âI like blankie if make mama happy.â Theo softly explained adorably. Theo wrapped his arms around you best he could, still not quite understanding the gift but wanting anything to would make his mummy happy. He laid his head onto you with the intention to nuzzle impossibly further into you.Â
âI like blankie too, mama. I like happy mama and I like um⌠our family.â Teddy told you, looking between you and Trent. Her sweet remark eliciting a real cry. You were so emotional and pregnant, you couldnât help it. Trent breathily and sympathetically laughed at how sweet the past thirty minutes had been. He pulled you into his embrace once more, reaching out his arm to drag Teddy along as well. You held the blanket close to your chest, you let out a soft laugh amidst your tears, feeling the warmth of your family around you. As you nestled closer to Trent, you realized just how precious these moments were â how they formed the fabric of your family, much like the blanket that would soon wrap your newest child in love.
âThank you, baby for everything you do for our family. Youâre amazing, you know that?â Trent softly kissed your temple. His voice filled with love. âWe love mummy so much, yeah?â Trent spoke out into the room. Teddy and Theo noddingtheir confirmation. You leaned into Trent, a content smile on your lips.Â
âNo, thank you. I couldnât do it without you, T. I was really nervous at first, but now... itâs like everything is just falling into place.â You rested your head onto his shoulder. Trent kissed the top of your head, feeling an overwhelming sense of relief, gratitude, and happiness. As you sat on the couch, comfortably cradling your baby bump, he held you close, you watched Teddy and Theo move to go create some sort of game to play together on the carpet. This pregnancy was a gift, a calm amid the storm, and you couldnât have felt more blessed. Your family was your greatest treasure, and you knew, no matter what. The future looked bright, and you were ready to embrace every moment of it.Â
The closer you go to the end of the pregnancy the atmosphere in the house grew more expectant and filled with excitement. Winnie had come to visit, eager to help out and spend time with your family, her family. She loved her niece and nephew, and couldnât wait to meet the next addition. Tonight, she found herself curled up on the couch with Teddy, who was nestled in her arms. The soft glow of a living room lamp cast a warm light over them. Teddyâs sleepy eyes were fixed on a bedtime story Winnie was helping her read. George had just come over as well. He had stopped by to check on you and catch up with Trent but it was clear that Winnieâs presence was a pleasant surprise for him so he stuck around offering to help out. Theo welcomed his stay with open arms, squeals and giggles. George had always harbored feelings for Winnie, but he had kept them to himself, especially after hearing about her breakup about a year ago from Jadon. It wasnât messy or bad per se, they just didnât work. Winnie was finding she wanted more, Jadon had known he wanted less, no one wanted to compromise. Ultimately it might've been maybe more of a physically driven connection that lasted longer than they each expected but it was meant to end. George typically didnât press about things but he genuinely cared for Winnie. Seeing her now, so close and yet so distant, stirred something in him. Later that evening, you and Trent had gone out to enjoy a quiet dinner together before your baby's arrival, thankful you could leave George and Winnie in charge of putting Teddy and Theo to bed. The house fell into a serene quietness once they had. With Teddy and Theo tucked in and the night settled, George and Winnie found themselves alone in the living room, the silence between them both comforting and charged with unspoken emotions. George leaned back in his chair, watching Winnie with a soft smile instead of the TV.Â
âSo, I havenât had a chance to ask but how are you really doing, Win? I know itâs been a while since the breakup, but⌠you know, those things take time.â George asked Winnie gently, his voice low and sincere. He wanted to know, genuinely. Winnie sighed, her gaze drifting down to her hands in her lap a little embarrassed. She was well aware that George probably knew more about her breakup than she would have liked via you and Trent.Â
âIâm doing okay, I guess. Itâs honestly fine. It really is. It was meant to end. Itâs just⌠Iâm finding out Iâm not so great at being alone. You know when you get out of a relationship and you just are sitting on a sofa and are thinking to yourself now whatâŚâ Winnie explained examining her manicure to not make eye contact but she flashed her eyes up to George to see if he did know what she was talking about. He did not. âOf course, you donât.â Winnie laughed. âIâm just saying I miss a cuddle, you know? The intimacy of it all. But Iâm learning to be okay with it. With it just being me.â Winnie softly admitted with a hint of sadness. You growing into a family of five and Winnie recently single really stung a lot. She felt it every time she entered her one bedroom apartment, she felt it everytime you facetimed her with Teddy and Theo. Georgeâs heart tightened at her words. He had always admired her free spirit and independence, but he also knew how much she valued connection and affection. He wasnât sure if Winnie even knew how much she needed that.
âI know you donât need anyone but if you ever need a cuddle, Iâm here.â He sheepishly told her with sincerity. âJust as a friend, you know.â He clarified his offer hoping it wasnât something Winnie would be taken back by. George sweetly looked at her. He meant it harmlessly, genuinely not trying to make a move. Winnie looked at him, surprised by his offer but not shocked by his kindness. Without thinking too much about it, she scooted closer to him on the sofa, allowing herself to lean into his side. George wrapped his arm around her shoulders, holding her gently, dragging her in closer. The warmth of his body against hers was comforting, and for a moment, they simply sat there in silence, enjoying the closeness. But as the seconds ticked by, something shifted. Winnie turned her head slightly, her eyes locking onto Georgeâs. In that moment, caught in the tenderness of his gaze and the safety of his embrace, she felt a sudden, overwhelming urge to kiss him. She leaned in, her lips brushing his softly. George pulled back, a look of surprise and conflict on his face. He gently held her shoulders, creating a bit of space between them.
âWin, Iâm sorry. You know I like you, I do. So much. I just canât be a momentary comfort for you. Not for you. Please. Donât do this to me.â George haphazardly spoke to her. He was soft but firm, his voice filled with emotion âYou know I like you, Winnie.â He repeated to make it clear this wasnât a rejection because he wasnât interested. He was saying no because he was too interested. Winnieâs heart ached at his words, the realization of his deep feelings settling heavily in the room. She hadnât meant to hurt him with her kiss; she just got caught up in the moment.Â
âGeorge, Iâm sorry⌠I didnât mean to make you feel that way. Itâs justâŚâ Winnie sighed, embarrassed. It was a rarity that she ever got rejected but this hurt a lot because she knew George liked her and it occurred to her that she had always liked him but purposely chose a more dangerous option time and time again. He didnât need to say he did because if she was really honest with herself sheâd known since she met him. âYou know Iâve always found you attractive though. That wasnât intended to be a momentary comfort. I guess I didnât know how to handle things before. I thought I wanted something else, but I was wrong. I know that now. I was just⌠I needed to mature, to understand what I really want in a man. AndâŚsorry this is stupid.â Winnie paused, turning her head away from him feeling something she rarely felt, fear. George kept his eyes on her though. He reached out and cupped her cheek, turning her face back to him. Winnie took a deep breath. âI want you, George.â Winnieâs voice trembled slightly as she spoke. She was earnest, eyes wide with emotion. Georgeâs breath hitched, his eyes searching hers for sincerity. He had hoped for this moment for so long but never imagined it would happen this way. He could see the honesty in her expression, the vulnerability she was showing. His grip on her softened, his fingers brushing her skin gently.
âWin..â George cautioned her. Of course, they had good chemistry but he didnât want to mess things up. Not now. They were friends. âYou're not just saying that or⌠just missing what you had?â His voice was full of hope but uncertainty. Winnie shook her head, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.Â
âNo, G. I mean it. Iâve realized that what I thought I wanted isnât what I need. I want someone who truly cares about me, whoâs kind, smart, and patient⌠but hotâŚ.someone like you.â She shyly smiled. George tried his absolute hardest not to grin at the complement. âI just was being ignorant before, and Iâm sorry it took me so long. I donât expect you to do anything. I donât know. Now you know but I definitely understand why you..â Winnie tried to keep explaining that she accepted the rejection but George cut her off before she could go on.
âShhh. Just shhh, Win.â George felt his heart swell with hope, a slow smile spreading across his face, he couldnât hold back any longer. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against hers before letting their lips collide eliciting a feeling neither of them expected. âI just want to be there for you, however you need.â George muttered trying to make sure they werenât making a massive mistake before their lips drew together creating the perfect rhythm.
âYou. Thatâs all I need.â Winnie whispered as her lips pulled off his as they curled into a smile, her hands moving to cup his face gently. The room had gone dark besides the glare of the tv on them. Their gaze on eachother was heated. Winnieâs eyes went even darker than room, lids gone heavy. This is what she was good at. She was confident now. Soon they were breathless in a makeout that was the best thing either had felt in a long while. This hook up had feelings behind it. Winnie moved from his lips and began kissing down him. Georgeâs head fell back onto the sofa cushion. Heâd thought about this alot. Winnie smirked, relishing in the sounds she was able to draw from someone who was normally so composed. When you and Trent got home unbeknownst to you things were heating up further in your living room. You went upstairs right away when you arrived back to check on Teddy and Theo. Trent on the other hand walked into quite the scene. He suddenly stopped when he heard George groan as Winnie gagged. Trentâs eyes widened and he spun on his heel immediately changing directions, running to find you. He literally almost physically ran into you on the stairs torn between the excitement and shock of his discovery.
âIs George like that?!â You asked Trent through a giggle as you both sat on your staircase after Trent relayed what he heard; George with a commanding âjust like thatâ had shocked you both. George was just so unassuming it caught you out. You stayed there not wanting to interrupt them but you also didnât go upstairs yet. You were close enough to know what was going on but not close enough to gross yourself out and hear too much.Â
âI donât know! Iâve never like heard him, baby.â Trent looked at you like you were crazy for thinking Trent would know that type of information but then fell into a laugh when you started to giggle. You hid your face in Trentâs neck blushing at the entire situation. âI feel like low key Winnieâs always held a torch and well we knew George did.â Trent kept talking and you agreed with both sentiments. As much as Winnie loved to say she wanted a bad boy, someone who liked to party, you knew Winnie preferred to be the wild one in a relationship and come home to someone to take care of her. After 20 minutes of you and Trent giggling, you got bored and just wanted to go upstairs and get up to your own antics. After an hour or so Trent received a text message from George asking if he could crash at the house. Trent laughed knowing what the incentive behind the text was but he played it off naively with a âcourse, mate.â Needless to say George and Winnie were about to have themselves a good night in a guest room on your first floor.Â
Late into that night or really it was well into the morning you stood in the dim kitchen, rummaging through the walk in pantry with a growing frustration. Your pregnancy cravings had been all over the place lately- craving crisps one minute, ice cream the next, and on some days, the distinct taste of Percy Pigs or the following day itâd be pepperoni. Tonight, your stomach growled with a hunger that couldn't quite be pinned down, making you even more restless. As you fumbled around in the dark, you heard soft footsteps behind you. The overhead kitchen light flicked on, casting a warm glow over the room. You turned to see Trent standing there, a soft sleepy smile playing on his lips.
"Number three keeping you up, pretty girl?" He asked, his voice thick with sleep. His eyes were gentle, full of that mix of concern and amusement he often had when he caught you in the midst of your midnight cravings. You gave a sheepish shrug, half-smiling.Â
"I'm just... I don't know what I want," you admitted with a frown, still scanning the shelves as if the answer might suddenly appear in front of you. "I thought maybe some crisps, or maybe something sweet, but now I just... I'm not sure." You sighed. Trent chuckled softly and walked over to you, his bare feet padding quietly on the kitchen floor till her got to you wrapping his arms around you and gently swaying you back and forth in front of him. He let you go after a kiss to your cheek to go get himself a drink of water.
"Well, tell me what you fancy, and I'll help you find it." He offered. "Or I could go out and grab something for you." His offer was sincere, but you could see the sleepy haze still clinging to his features. You turned about to say no when you watched Trent as he stretched his arms above his head, a lazy, broad stretch that made the muscles in his chest and arms flex. Your gaze followed the movement, catching sight of his toned abs contracting and the waistband of his shorts dipping just low enough to reveal that tantalizing V shape that always drove you wild. Your mouth watered instantly, but not for anything in the pantry. A completely different craving took over, one that had nothing to do with food. You felt a sudden, undeniable pull toward him, your body reacting instinctively to the sight of him standing there, half-asleep yet effortlessly sexy. "Actually..." you dragged out the words, your voice dropping to a sultry whisper as you turned to face him fully. "I think I've just figured out exactly what I want." You cooed with a mischievous glint in your eyes. Trent's sleepy smile turned into a knowing grin as he caught the change in your tone and that look in your eyes.Â
"Oh yeah?" He asked, stepping back to you, his voice low and teasing. "And what might that be, beautiful?" He gave you a devastatingly handsome smirk. You reached out, fingers grazing his bare chest, feeling the warmth of his skin under your touch.Â
"You," you said simply, letting your hand trail down his torso, fingers dancing over the firm lines of his stomach. Trent's grin widened, his eyes darkening with a mixture of amusement and desire.Â
"Well, I can help you satisfy that craving.," he murmured, stepping even closer until his body was almost flush against yours. He dipped his head down, capturing your lips in a slow, sensual kiss that sent a shiver down your spine. You melted into him, your craving for food completely forgotten as you wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.Trent's hands moved to your waist, pulling you against him, his grip firm and possessive. His mouth moved against yours with a hunger that matched your own, and you couldn't help but moan softly into the kiss. His lips left yours and traveled to your neck, planting soft, teasing kisses along your skin. "You know, baby." He murmured between kisses. "If you keep waking me up like this, we're going to have to invest in some midnight snacks of a different kind." Trent whispered. You laughed softly, but the sound quickly turned into a sigh of pleasure as his hands slid under the hem of your shirt, fingers tracing the curve of your back. When you groaned, his heart leapt in his throat while simultaneously his dick hardened in his shorts.Â
"Maybe I just have a taste for you, Trent Alexander-Arnold." You whispered, tugging him closer.Trent pulled back just enough to look at you, his eyes filled with that familiar spark of playful mischief.Â
"Then let's make sure Trent Alexander-Arnoldâs wife is satisfied." He said, his voice low and teasing, sending another thrill through your body. His hands glided over the curve of your ass. He lifted you effortlessly onto the kitchen counter, his mouth finding yours again in a deep, hungry kiss. As his hands began to explore your body with a slow, deliberate intensity, you knew that this was one craving that wouldn't go unsatisfied tonight. âCan you be a good girl and be quiet fâme?â He cooed as he pulled out a chair at your kitchen island to take a seat in front of you. You nodded as he pulled your legs apart as you sat on the marble countertop. You slid one foot down the cold surface spreading your legs further apart for him âDid I ever tell you how fucking much I love our kitchen.â Trent spoke quietly, not looking at the kitchen at all. He moved to place a feather light kiss onto your ankle working them up your leg, purposefully skipping over where you wanted him most, continuing down your other leg. Subconsciously, your thighs widened more for him. You whined desperate for him but very aware that he was not going to let you close your legs now. You complained about his playful kisses, feeling a deep desire building within you, heat radiating to your core as your arousal intensified and your clit began to pulse. The gentle brush of his stubble against your bare skin was utterly sensual. âSuch a good girl fâme always so wet, baby.â His eyes lit looking at your glistening pussy. He was quick to place his thumb over your clit, rubbing it gentle circles keeping his eyes locked on you. Trent wrapped his arms around your thighs and pulled your core to his face. He dragged his middle and index fingers through your folds and then dragging his tongue in his wake making your head drop back. He moved his perfect plump lips to focus on your clit as he gently slid his index finger into your warm, wetness, groaning at how turned on you were. You stifled a moan as the feeling of just one of his fingers inside you ignited your desire. His tongue danced around your clit, teasing and licking the area, deliberately steering clear of the exact spot you craved his mouth the most. You tried to arch your hips off the cold countertop beneath you desperate to find more fiction. Trent grunting attempting to reprimand you as his arm laid across your hips holding you down. He knew you were growing impatient. He added another finger, and then another, moving and furling in and out of your throbbing pussy. He flattened his tongue against your clit.Â
âFuck fuck fuck.â You groan and tried to stifle your words. Trent tried to shush you but couldnât help his laughter just vibrating against you only amplifying your pleasure. You inhaled sharply. You knew he was holding back on you because when he got into it an you werenât trying to muffles the sounds of his impromptu late night kitchen eats from Winnie and George from hearing, he could ravish you like you were his favorite meal. His lips sucked on your bud and parted your folds with his tongue, the tip frantically teasing you mercilessly, circling as his finger pumped in and out, hitting the spot he knew would have you reeling and moaning your name. âT⌠I canât! Oh my god.â You whined but Trent was quick to try to lessen the noise he was evoking from you. His arm across your hips moved to bring his hand up to your mouth, seamlessly and sexily. When his lips closed around your clit, sucking on it, you became a begging mess.
âSuch a good fucking girl.â He muffled into you smug as can be.Trent loved to find himself in between your thighs, lapping his tongue through your folds. Hearing and feeling you falling apart on his tongue was the best trophy he could ever win. You were clenching uncontrollably around his fingers as his sucked on your clit with just enough pressure. âCum fâme, baby. Cum now.â He demanded quietly as you felt your thighs begin to quiver. In low warm lights sprawled from Trent in your quiet kitchen your back arched as you fell into an earth shattering orgasm courtesy of the man who would always take care of you. You twitched as he dragged out your high. The risk of being caught out fucking in your kitchen at god knows what hour of the morning had you feeling unreal. He moved from sucking at your sensitive throbbing clit before he dragged his tongue back through your folds lewdly slurping the slick from your pussy. He kept his fingers thrusting inside of you, going a little slower as he worked kisses up your body. His lips on your neck, the slick on your skin and post orgasmic feeling sending a shiver down your spine.Â
âCan you give me one more?â Trent asked you, desperate for more of you and you werenât going to be the one to deprive him of that. Hell, he had come all the way downstairs to help with your midnight snack. You were ready for him to fuck you on this counter so you could wipe it down after and happily hand him his breakfast on it tomorrow. He gently laid you back against the marble. He kissed your jawline up before bringing you into a passionate kiss. You sat up on your forearms as he cupped your face.
âFuck me, T, please,â you begged, sounding some how even more desperate then before. His cock twitched hearing your voice. You blinked up at Trent with doe eyes after your orgasm continued to linger. He pulled his hard cock out stroking it and teasingly dragging the tip through your folds as he pulled you into another steamy kiss. You whined, unable to wait any longer. He lifted your hips a little for him to push into you both of you gasping in a breath. He slid his hand up your body up to your exposed tits. Trent's eyes glazed over seeing your tits bounce as you laid back for him as you whined out. His big hands slid up your body coming to play with your hard nipples. You hiccuped a little as he picked up the pace, hitting deeper, drilling into both of you fighting your hardest to bite back the moans you were dying to let out.Â
âGod, I fucking love you, baby, so much.â He was able to get out a strained whisper, feeling the warm pulsations as he eased in and out of you. You wrapped your legs around his waist, dragging your heels down his muscular back. Your body was being rocked against the surface beneath you when Trent slipped his fingers into your mouth. Flustered by his pace you gaged around them, drooling, sucking desperately before he dragged them down to rub perfect circles on your clit.
âYouâre gonnna make me cum. Please T. Just like that. Please baby.â You begged him as the knot in your stomach tightened just before it snapped. You clenched tighter around his throbbing cock. He took his fingers off your clit as he leaned forward to kiss you.
âYeah? I make you feel so good, huh? You love cumming on my cock, beautiful. Look so good cumming for me. Iâm gonna fucking cum, hmm?â You nodded desperately. His cock twitching deep inside you seconds before he came, painting your insides, filling you up. âI know, baby, I know,â he mumbled, silencing you with a kiss. You whimpered at his words, your walls clenching around him as if your body understood what he wanted as he voiced it.Your eyes squeezed closed, a whimpered moan accidentally escaping you lips. You knew it was just as hard for him to stay quiet too. Honestly, this was as quiet as you two probably could get, so it was impressive that you both had to manage to pull it off.
The kitchen then was filled with quiet, post-craving giggles as you and Trent tried to compose yourselves. Your bodies were still pressed close together, both of you breathless and flushed from your late-night adventure. Every time you made eye contact, another wave of laughter threatened to spill out, and you had to bite your lip to stifle it. Trent pressed his forehead against yours, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
âShhh,â you whispered, your shoulders shaking with silent laughter. âWeâve got to be quiet, or Winnie and George will hear us.â Trent chuckled softly, his warm breath tickling your cheek.
âYouâre the one who couldnât keep quiet,â he teased, his voice a low murmur. He pulled you even closer, his arms wrapping around you in a tight, comforting embrace. âBut Iâm not complaining,â he added, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple.
âStop! You made it hard to be quiet.,â you replied, your smile widening as you leaned into his warmth. Despite your teasing words, there was nothing but love in your voice. You swayed gently in his arms, moving in a slow, lazy rhythm as if you were still caught in the afterglow of your midnight rendezvous. You exchanged a few whispered âI love youâs,â each one filled with the depth of your affection and the quiet joy of this stolen moment together.Eventually, Trent helped you off the counter, his hands lingering on your waist as you both reluctantly pulled away.
âCome on,â he whispered, giving you a soft, playful nudge. âWe should get back to bed. You need rest after all thatâ He cheekily told you. You nodded, still grinning as you slipped your hand into his, letting him guide you back to your bedroom. The two of you tiptoed down the hall, stifling giggles every step of the way, feeling like mischievous teenagers sneaking around in your own home. The next morning, the house was filled with the comforting smell of breakfast. You were at the stove, humming softly to yourself as you flipped pancakes, a content smile on your lips. You were ready to tease Winnie about her own evening, eager to see her reaction. Trent sat at the kitchen table, entertaining Teddy and Theo with stories while they waited for their food. Just as you were about to make a cheeky comment, Winnie strolled into the kitchen, George trailing behind her. She stretched her arms above her head with an exaggerated yawn and then dramatically dropped them, smirking at Teddy and Theo.Â
âDid mummy and daddy wake anyone else up last night?â she asked, her tone teasing. Teddyâs eyes went wide with curiosity, and Theo, ever the observant one, scrunched his nose in confusion.Â
âWake ups?â Teddy echoed, looking between you and Trent. âWhys? What doing last night?â She asked slightly worried she had potentially missed out on something. You felt your cheeks heat up instantly, a burst of laughter escaping you.Â
âWinnie!â you exclaimed, trying to sound scolding, but failing miserably as you started to laugh. Trent chuckled, shaking his head as he stood up from the table. He walked over to you and wrapped an arm around your waist. Winnie just grinned, clearly enjoying herself. She winked, making her way over to the table to sit down.
âNothing, cute girl. Did you sleep okay?â Winnie cooed, dragging Teddy into her lap who nodded her answer. George laughed. As you served breakfast, you couldnât help but shoot a playful glare in Winnieâs direction, but the smile on your face never wavered. It was just another morning filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of teasingâexactly the way you liked it.
Another night came, this one without Winnie and George. It had passed Teddy and Theoâs bedtime, it was approaching yours. The house was finally quiet. The kids were asleep in their rooms, the soft hum of the baby monitor the only sound breaking the silence. You and Trent were getting into bed, the glow of two bedside lamps casting a warm light over you both. It was one of those rare moments of calm where you could just be together, without the usual chaos of family life. Trent had been quiet for a while, his arm around you as you leaned into his side, your head resting against his shoulder as you scrolled on your phone. You could feel the steady rhythm of his breathing, the warmth of his body grounding you. He turned slightly, and you felt him shift so he could look at you more directly, you hadnât noticed that he had been staring at you the whole time. There was something in his eyesâan intensity, a depth of emotionâthat made your heart skip a beat.
âYN, I need to tell you something.â Trent softly muttered out. His voice filled with emotion. Trent had been watching you closely all evening, his eyes filled with a tenderness that was impossible to miss. He took a deep breath, his hand finding yours beneath the blanket, and gently squeezed. You turned to face him, your heart suddenly aware of the seriousness in his tone.Â
You looked at him, a little puzzled but intrigued, sensing the depth in his tone. Trent took a deep breath, his eyes searching yours as if trying to find the right words. âI just⌠I donât think I tell you enough how much you mean to me. Every single day, I watch you with our kids, the way you care for them, love them, teach them⌠and Iâm just in awe. Youâve given me this beautiful family, a life I didnât even know I could or wanted to have.â His words struck a chord deep within you, and you felt your throat tighten with emotion. Trent reached up, brushing a strand of hair away from your face, his touch tender. âLately, Iâve been thinking back to when we first started this whole thing⌠this relationship. I was so nervous, so unsure of not how much I loved you but if I was good enough for you. But you⌠you bought in. You took a chance on me, and it changed my life. You changed my life, YN.â Trentâs voice broke slightly. You could feel tears welling up in your eyes, the weight of his words sinking in. He squeezed your hand, his thumb gently stroking your skin. âI donât know where Iâd be without you. I donât even want to think about it. Because with you⌠with our kids⌠I have everything. I have a home, a family, a love thatâs deeper than anything I ever imagined. And itâs all because of you. You make me a better man, a better father. Iâm so thankful, every single day, that youâre mine.â The tears spilled over, and you couldnât help but smile through them, overwhelmed by the depth of his love. He shifted closer, his thumb brushing over your knuckles as he gathered his thoughts. His eyes were misty, his voice carrying a mix of admiration and concern. "Just thank you, baby for trying so hard to persevere. I know it hasn't been easy, dealing with everything you've gone through... your struggles. I can't imagine how hard it's been for you, but I just want you to know how proud I am of you." He cooed gently. You felt a lump form in your throat, the sincerity of his words hitting you deep. Trent reached out, cupping your cheek with his hand, his gaze unwavering and filled with love. "All I could ever want is for you to see yourself the way I see you. I wish you could see the way our babies look at you, baby. The way their faces light up when they see the most beautiful mummy in the whole world. They adore you, YN. They see you as this stunning, loving, strong woman who means everything to them⌠just like I do."Â
âTâŚâ You whimpered, unable to get anything else out. You weren't prepared for this monologue. Tears were streaming down your face at this point. His words wrapping around your heart like a warm embrace. Trent's own eyes were glistening, his emotions raw and open.
"God, I love you so much. Sometimes I still canât believe how lucky I got, meeting you by chance in New York. How you kept talking to me, even though I was just some lad from across the ocean. I canât believe you took a chance on me, on us. That you flew all the way to England just to visit me... it feels like a dream sometimes.â Trent babbled with a trembling voice. Frankly you always thought it was more insane he gave you the chance so your pouty lips curled a little bit of smile. He paused, his voice catching in his throat as he struggled to find the words. You could see the depth of his feelings in his eyes, the love and gratitude that overflowed from him. "Iâm so incredibly grateful for you, YN. For everything youâve done, everything you are. Youâre the strongest person I know, and I just⌠I want you to see that. I want you to feel that. Because you are everything to me, to them. Everything." He leaned in, pressing his forehead against yours, his eyes closing as he took a shaky breath. You could feel the warmth of his breath on your skin, his words lingering in the air between you.
"Trent, I⌠I love you too. So much. More than I can even say." Tears continued to stream down your face. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him close as the tears fell freely. Trent held you tightly, his embrace firm and full of love. You could feel his heartbeat against your chest, steady and reassuring.
âI will always, always take care of you and our family. You have my heart forever, baby. Iâm here and Iâm yours and theyâre ours. Alwaysâ Trent whispered against your hair. In his arms, you felt a sense of peace, a calm that only his presence could bring. You knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, you had each other. And that was more than enough.
âT, I⌠I donât even know what to say. Youâve given me so much. You gave me a life I actually wanted. You are my best friend, my confidant, my partner in everything. I love you so much.â You hiccuped through the words as he pulled you closer, his forehead resting against yours as he closed his eyes, savoring the moment.
âI love you more than anything in this world, YN. More than words could ever say. Thank you for everything. For being the mother of our children, for being my partner, my best friend. For being you.â He whispered, echoing you. You wrapped your arms around him, holding him close, feeling the steady beat of his heart against yours. In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of his embrace, you knew you were exactly where you were meant to beâloved deeply and completely by the man who meant everything to you.

Letters From Nowhere - Prologue (CBF! Johnny 'Soap' MacTavish x Reader)
On the anniversary of your best friend's death, her mother writes from your long-begotten home. With the letter, memories of a childhood love pull on your soul...
Warnings: mention of death, angst, discussion of suicide
Masterlist, Part 1
Inspired by You're gonna go far by Noah Kahan
Scattered letters litter the floor, hardwood dull through the mist of your eyes. You could trace the handwriting of your friend's mother, the loops diving then loosening towards the end. The tears stain the parchment. Vinyl spins a humming melody, you try to shift, only to crumple on the next shaky step. You drop the letter and clutch your chest.Â
Fresh tears stream as you sink to your knees to collect the letters, shaky hand reaching for the scarlet-tainted letter. Your mind focuses on the line,
âCome home Sweetheart, she left you some things from when you were kids.â
You paused as your hand brushed the paper, the smell of lavender was still sewn into the embedded paper. You almost chuckle as your heart broke, it was her paper that she had made. A hum of a sweet voice that pulls your soul from memories with your old friend.
The only time I got to prayin' for a red light
Was when I saw your destination as a deadline
"This is normal conversation, babe, it's all fine"
Makin' quiet calculations where the fault lies
This is good land, or at least it was
It takes a strong hand and a sound mind
The pain leans heavily as you stand with the mail and the letter. You hadn't been home in a long time, not since that night, you hadnât seen him since that night.Â
The college kids are gettin' so young, ain't they?
They're correctin' all the grammar on a spray paint
And I even gave up drivin' after nightfall
I got tired of the frat boys with their brights on
This is good land, or at least it was
It takes a strong hand and a sound mind
You pull a chair out from the table and drop into it, sagging against it the wood cuts into you. The weight of the occasion doesnât miss you, but what brought this now? This month marked the anniversary of your best friend's passing, but why was her mother just now reaching out?Â
It makes me smile to know when things get hard
Ooh-ooh, you'll be far
Ooh-ooh, you'll be far from here
And while I clean shit up in the yard
Ooh-ooh, you'll be far
Ooh-ooh, you'll be far, far from here
You look up to the ticking of a clock in your apartment, the brass of the pendulum gleaming in the dim lamp light. You had gotten in late from the library, picking at your mail before the familiar stationary tore a memory from the deep echoes of your mind. the reminder of your old friend dropping everything on you, your thumb traces over the stamp, a swooping swallow, and it squeezes your heart. You had gotten matching tattoos with her when you were 18, promising to fly away when you could out of that small town.Â
Then there was Him.
So, pack up your car, put a hand on your heart
Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are
We ain't angry at you, love
You're the greatest thing we've lost
The birds will still sing, your folks will still fight
The boards will still creak, the leaves will still die
We ain't angry at you, love
We'll be waitin' for you, love
Blue eyes that swallow the ocean stare into you from the depths of your mind. There was a fight. He never understood, a hand thrown forward to yank you back from the edge, an accented voice yelling. You tumble back from the cliff, tripping into him and rolling through coastal grass. You rush upward to follow the falling stars into the horizon but he just yanks you to his chest as you scream out.Â
You bite down on your lip at the memory, the tang of blood trickling as you clench your teeth.Â
And we'll all be here forever
And we'll all be here forever
We sure will
You had gone numb after that attempt. She had passed suddenly, the treatments didnât work. She never told you. She had just gone away for a week for her 20th birthday, but never came home to you.
We're overdue for a revival
We spent so long just gettin' by
That's the thing about survival
Who the hell-, who the hell likes livin' just to die?
As you sit in the swing in shock on a chilly October evening steps alert you to his approach.
His mouth opens, but you murmur,
âLeave me alone Johnny.â
He pauses behind you, an arm comes into your peripheral vision and a strong hand grabs the chain. Johnny had grown into his personality suddenly by 20, only a year older than you he made the effort not to grin when he flexed at you.Â
He sighs low and long, an emotional husk digging its way in.
âShe wouldnât have wanted you to find out this way.â
For the first time you shoot up, stumbling out and away from his warmth at your back. He startles, reaching to steady you but you yank out of his grasp.
âWhat do you mean Johnny?âÂ
You gasp out sharp breaths, wanting to doubt what you heard.
At the realization of his fumble, a frown pulls onto his face. He says nothing, only looking down.
âYou knew she was sick?â
âShe-â
âYou bastard, you knew!âÂ
You croak it out. You had noticed she had been more tired before the trip but thought little of it, thinking school had gotten harder, you could have never expected this.
You stare at him and he watches your eyes dull, you grit your teeth and turn away.
âBonnie, look she-â
âDonât bother Johnny.â
You told me you would make a difference
Well, I got drunk and shut you down
It won't be by your own volition
If you step foot outside this town
But it's all we've had
For always
You barely spoke to him after that, just going to classes and coming home to cry. The condolences did nothing, your parents' messages did nothing, there was only the pain. In the emptiness you had decided it was time. Somehow he found out.
You spin on your heels at the sound of someone entering your bedroom as you pack.
âYouâre just leaving?â
John looks older then, as he grasps at the papers on your desk, the spare key dangling in his fingers on a worn lanyard.Â
You ignore him, returning to your clothes, but you feel his eyes. The night at the cliff had not been discussed, the attempt to end it all, the bruises from the rough ground still stung when pressed. You hear him step forward, and a hand reaches for your elbow.
âLook at me, Bonnie.â
Your head turns down, staring into the void of printed socks. You hear him exhale, and you know his chest is tight because yours has been since he told you he loved you that star-teared night.Â
Tears stream down your cheeks as he pulls you to his chest and you begin to sob, turning to bury your head into his chest. Â
So, pack up your car, put a hand on your heart
Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are
We ain't angry at you, love
You're the greatest thing we've lost
The birds will still sing, your folks will still fight
The boards will still creak, the leaves will still die
We ain't angry at you, love
We'll be waitin' for you, love
You had spent that night curled around him, only to wake from the nightmares of her eyes in the casket as Johnny holds you close. You left the next week, shoving everything away, leaving Johnny and everyone to memories and never coming home. Never answering with âI love you too.â
And we'll all be here forever
And we'll all be here forever
You're gonna go far
You're gonna go far
You're gonna go far
You're gonna go far
Yes, you are (ooh-ooh)
If you wanna go (go) far
Then you gotta go (go) far
The brass shines and you stare back into the letter. With a thudding heart you pick up your phone with trembling fingers and make a callâŚ

Happily Ever After â ě ě´
genre: fluff summary: In the heart of the magical kingdom, where dreams come true... warnings: mentions food, mentions marriage, est relationship pairing: nonidol!jay x fem!reader wc: 744 a/n: repost from my old blog
I had always dreamed of going to Disneyland, ever since I was a little girl. The magical kingdom, the thrilling rides, and of course, the enchanting castle. But as I grew older, the idea of visiting the happiest place on earth seemed like a distant dream. That is until my boyfriend, Jay, surprised me with a trip to Disneyland.
It was a normal Saturday afternoon when Jay showed up at my door, a mischievous glint in his eyes. I could sense that he was up to something, but I had no idea what it could be. He grabbed my hand and led me to his car, blindfolding me before I could even ask any questions. After what seemed like an eternity, we finally arrived at our destination. I could hear the sound of people laughing and the familiar tune of Disney songs. Jay guided me through the park, describing everything we passed by in great detail. I could feel the excitement bubbling inside me, and I couldn't wait to see what he had planned. Finally, Jay stopped and removed the blindfold. I was standing in front of the iconic Disneyland castle, adorned with colorful lights and decorations. Tears welled up in my eyes as I took in the sight, and I turned to Jay, who was beaming with pride. 'Surprise!' he exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug. I couldn't believe it. My dream was finally coming true, and I had my amazing boyfriend to thank for it. We spent the whole day exploring the park, going on rides, and indulging in all the delicious treats Disneyland had to offer. It was the most magical day of my life, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to share it with. As the sun began to set, Jay took me to a quiet spot by the lake, where we sat down on a bench and watched the fireworks display. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. But little did I know, Wo had one more surprise up his sleeve. As the last firework burst in the sky, Jay got down on one knee, a small velvet box in his hand. My heart stopped beating as he opened the box to reveal a stunning diamond ring. 'Y/N, you are my everything. I have loved you since the moment I met you, and I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. Will you marry me?' Jay asked, his voice trembling with emotion. Tears of joy streamed down my face as I nodded vigorously, unable to find the words to express how I felt. Jay slipped the ring on my finger, and we shared a passionate kiss, surrounded by the magical ambiance of Disneyland. The next few months were a blur of wedding planning and excitement. Jay and I decided to have a small, intimate wedding at Disneyland, as it held a special place in our hearts. We invited our closest friends and family, and they were just as thrilled as we were. On the day of our wedding, I couldn't stop smiling. I couldn't believe that I was getting married to my best friend, my soulmate, my everything. As I walked down the aisle towards Jay, I could see the love and adoration in his eyes, and I knew that I was the luckiest girl in the world. The ceremony was beautiful, and as we exchanged our vows, I couldn't help but think about how far we had come. From our first date to this moment, Jay had been my rock, my support system, and my biggest cheerleader. I couldn't imagine my life without him. As we danced our first dance as husband and wife, I knew that this was just the beginning of our happily ever after. And as we watched the fireworks light up the night sky, I whispered to Jay, 'Thank you for making all my dreams come true.' He smiled and pulled me closer, whispering back, 'No, thank you for making my life a fairytale.' From that day on, we returned to Disneyland every year to celebrate our anniversary. And every time we walked through the gates, we were reminded of the magical day when Jay surprised me with a trip to Disneyland and ended up proposing. It was a moment that I would cherish forever, and I couldn't wait to create more memories with my beloved husband in the happiest place on earth.
