The Destiel Omegaverse Big Bang is a Destiel focused big bang for the trope known to many as Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics (or A/B/O). This is a challenge where Authors will be paired up with an Artist via a claiming process.

All variations of the trope are allowed, this means, alpha/omega, alpha/alpha, omega/omega, alpha/beta, beta/beta, beta/omega pairing or any which combination you would like and of course it is entirely up to you. With this, of course, both traditional omegaverse and non-traditional omegaverse, is also allowed.

The omegaverse allows for a lot of variation, and you have free reign over everything you can think of!

Participants must be at least 18 years old to sign up.

I got to do the art for Tossukka (@sitruunavohveli)'s Destiel Omegaverse Big Bang fic, The Initial Spark. You can read this wonderful story HERE It has been a lot of fun to do art for, and there were two scenes that instantly called out to me when I read her fic. If I have any specific art goals for 2023, it’s to hopefully have the chance to work on some more different characters within the SPN ‘verse. I also want to find the time to do some more pieces in my trueform series and character portraits - probably for MomentoCon and wherever else I might see some of the actors I haven’t had the chance to see at a convention yet.  I’ve been working on updating my Teepublic shop with more of my art, so you can get prints, bags, cases, mugs, and of course t-shirts with a lot of these pieces there. I may be opening a redbubble shop soon as well for some of the merch they offer that Teepublic doesn’t (as much as I love Teepublic’s quality and pricing.)

Summary: Omega Dean has spent his life hoping to find his truemate, but all he managed to do was to introduce other people to theirs. It just never seems to be his turn. Looking to help, Charlie takes him to this witch that sells love potions, but all Rowena has to offer is some good time. Dean leaves the shop with a little bottle with some glowing blue liquid swirling inside. The tag on it says: Potion No.17.

Castiel works his days as an accountant in the “Smith, Banks and Associates” and spends every free minute gazing out of the window at the Delaware River. His parents are retired and live in Florida and he has a roommate Balthazar who is his only friend and loves to party. He longs for a meaningful connection. One time he lets himself be persuaded to join Balthazar on a night out, he ends up bored enough to talk to a perfect stranger. He even goes so far as to trust Crowley when the man claims he’s got something that will allow him some fun. That night he goes home with Potion No.17 in his hand.

The main compound of the potion is the African dream root, you can look it up.” Crowley must have noticed how entranced Castiel is because he still hasn’t closed the case. Castiel doesn’t even make it past his first breath before he reaches for the vial with that transcendent green. His entire body tingles as he wraps his fingers around it, a small tag with the number 17 swinging off the neck, grazing his fingers. Castiel knows that he won’t be able to put it down until he tries it. The idea is simply too tempting and he has been so lonely for far too long.

"Understood." Dean nodded and side-eyed Emma before looking back to the principal and adding, "Ma'am."

Ms. Moseley rolled her eyes at Dean, then turned to the new-to-town family. "Dr. Novak, thank you for coming in today. I know how worried you are about how Claire is going to do here, and I assure you that we are gonna keep an eye out for her going forward."

"Thank you— that's very considerate of you." The guy's voice got deeper, or maybe that was only compared to the lilting voice of the female principal. Dean turned back to Emma and sighed at her obvious annoyance.

"Well, I think it's time we all get some fresh air. Have a thoughtful and refreshing weekend now," Ms. Moseley dismissed them at last.

The silence grows. Then.

“What the hell are we doin’, Cas?” Dean asks.

His heart stutters to a stop and he can’t breathe. It’s the same question Meg has been asking; the same question Bal has restrained himself from asking; the same question Gabe would ask if he wasn’t so swamped with business orders.

The truth is that he doesn’t know. He can’t seem to unstick his throat.

“Cuz I don’t know what we’re doing,” Dean continues in the face of Castiel’s silence. “And I don’t know what I’m doing right now. I don’t know what you want from me.”

Castiel’s heart aches, and the pain he hears rips the words from his throat.

“I don’t know either, Dean,” he confesses quietly. “But I know I like talking to you. I know I like getting to know you. I know that –”

He pauses to swallow the tears trying to crowd out his voice.

“I know that I’d like to figure it out. With you. If that’s something you want too.”

Summary: Dean just wants to be happy, something which seems so simple in theory, but so painfully out of reach in reality. The secrets he carried weighed on him constantly, and it's hard to feel loved when he never even feels seen.

After a beautiful omega saves him from an alpha who believes having an alpha voice makes him king, Dean's inner omega is left swooning. The college is so big though, and he has no idea who the other omega is, so he assumes that is going to just be the end of that and he'll never get another chance to talk to the omega, who for a moment made him feel so safe.

A little bit of friendly meddling, and a thank you dinner turned date later, and Dean is starting to think his inner omega might be onto something with the swooning.

In a land where Omegas who love other omegas are seen as wrong and taboo, some things, and some people, are worth risking everything he knows for.

"Oh, hello again," a familiar voice said, the silky gravel sending a shiver of pleasure down Dean's spine.

Caspian?—said with a smile that was fond and kind and enough to send butterflies spiraling through Dean's stomach. This was insane. He'd barely had one conversation with the guy, he should not be being this pathetic around him, even if he was the most beautiful guy Dean had ever seen, with a scent that Dean wanted to drown in to boot.

"Yeah, I'm glad about that too. And that you're okay too. I was a bit worried. Though clearly you can look after yourself." He paused awkwardly, trying to remember where that sentence had been supposed to go. "I can look after myself too, normally. When biology isn't fucking me over." He rubbed the back of his neck, hoping that if he laughed a little bit no one would think he was going insane. "What I'm trying to say is thank you. You didn't need to put yourself in danger for me, but you really saved my bacon."

He always got tongue tied around hot omegas. He was just lucky enough that no one had picked up on it yet.

Summary: Dean was a lone feline shifter in a pack of wolves, when he meets his very best friend. Castiel is also a feline shifter, though from another country, from a family looking to make feline shifting ties. Their friendship lasts the whole summer and comes to a rapid end when Cas has to leave to go home. Instead of a tear filled good bye, the boys sneak down to the playground where they spent the whole summer and made a promise under a full moon to be best friends forever.

Twenty years later, a gentleman in a suit shows up at Dean's door telling him that the friendship ceremony was more than what he thought at the time. Now Dean was technically mated to a King! He has to choose between the life that he had lived for the last twenty years, and everything he ever wanted on the other side of the world. Things aren't going to be smooth no matter which path he takes, but maybe he can get rid of the John Winchester looming over his past and be who he really is.

��Sorry!” His eyes opened as he said the words and then his mouth opened wide. There was another cat! The boy in front of him had dark hair, and a stripped tail with a white underside. His head tilted to the side, almost like he was examining him. “Hi! I’m Dean.”

The boy blinked and then slowly spoke the words: “Hello, Dean. I am Castiel.”

“Cas-tea-el?” Dean said the name slowly, it was new and he had never heard anything like it before. “Hiya Cas. Did you… did you wanna play with me?” Cas eyes widened at the nickname but he nodded emphatically when Dean asked if he wanted to play. So of course Dean held out his hand. For a second, Dean was worried that Cas wasn’t gonna take his hand, but he did and Dean dragged him over to the swings.

That was the day he met his best friend. Mary had been instantly curious about the other feline, and realized that they had come to speak to her family, as one of the few feline packs around. Foreign diplomats from Russia, the Voronin family, was quite pleased that their son had made a friend. Naomi, Castiel’s mother, introduced the family to Mary when they had to split the boys apart to go home. They were going to be here all summer, and had wanted to let Castiel play with Dean as much as possible. According to Naomi, Castiel was a shy boy who couldn’t connect with others easily, but with Dean it was like second nature.

The first time he woke it was barely a blip in his sleep. Just long enough for him to realize he was awake and to try and grasp at the threads of consciousness. “Shhh Dean, just rest.”

The voice was low, quiet. Familiar and new all at once. Dean let the threads slip through his hands.

The second time he woke he heard multiple voices, whispering. The scents seemed stronger, as though they’d been lingering in the air for hours. Family. Mom. Dad. Sammy. Mate. “Alpha…”

He wasn’t sure if he’d even managed to speak, but then a warm, calloused hand closed over his. “I’m here, son.”

It was easier to open his eyes this time, and when he did he found the lights dimmed, a soft glow just visible in the corner of his eye. He turned his head towards the light, seeing a man reading from a tablet.

“You keep looking around like you’re waiting for someone. Did you get stood up?”

The voice is close to him, and Dean spins around to find who spoke to him. The dude is actually right behind him though, and Dean almost knocks himself off the stool when he finds himself nose to nose with the stranger.

The man is gorgeous, he can see that. He has dark, messy hair and eyes that could be any color but look like dark lakes in the bar’s dim light. More importantly, he’s looking at Dean with a single-minded intensity that makes something in his stomach do a flip flop. Whether that’s a good feeling or a bad feeling, he isn’t sure yet.

“Dude, personal space?” He says, trying for gruff but coming off a little breathless. At least the whiskey has loosened his tongue enough that it’s easy to talk to the stranger.

“My apologies.” The stranger takes a very small step back. Still staring. “I don’t mean to interrupt, but I thought that perhaps you were looking for some company.”

Dean narrows his eyes, taking in the guy in front of him one more time. A couple inches shorter than him, and well-muscled but not in an obvious way. Dean scents the air and can’t pick up much of anything under the general bar stench.

He must be a beta. That’s good. Betas are safe.

Betas don’t have the nose to sniff out Dean’s omega hiding under all the layers of black market, over-strength blockers. Between his neutralized scent and his size, he can pass for a beta himself, because Lord knows he never wants anyone to find out the truth if they don’t have to.
