Castiel is a human demon and monster hunter/assassin ala British Men of Letters enmeshed in his deeply cultish and religious family organization known as the Angels. As rivals to HunterCorp and a much older organization, naturally he’d butt heads with the Winchesters, but eventually Cas is gonna Cas and he falls in love with the happier, less world-weary, spoiled brat HunterCorp Dean Winchester. Antics ensue. They’re adorable.

Somehow Chuck sneaks into the wedding reception but the only place he can hide out is in the shadowy back tables where a already tipsy John Winchester sulks because his eldest son got married to - not just a man - not just a monster - but a monster man and somehow he is the villain in all of this.

He doesn't even notice Chuck until John makes a comment about how the wedding sucks and Chuck agrees. Hearing that makes John swallow whatever snide comment about wanting to be alone down with his sixth beer. John gets them a few/a lot more drinks as they whittle the hours away by being petty and making fun of Castiel. Anyway they leave through the backdoor drunk as skunks, no one noticing. John is leaning heavy against Chuck's side as Chuck blabbers on because - he's human, he can't hold his liquor and he's chatty when he drinks. All his talking gives John a headache. So John barks out a gruff, "shut up" to which Chuck, without thinking, responds with "why don't you make me?" And John never turned down a challenge. So he whirls them around, catching Chuck in a kiss. They make out for a bit, standing, until Chuck says they should go elsewhere.

They make it to Chuck's rental car before their patience runs out, and they do it in the backseat with the doors open.

Once morning rises, John is woken up by Ellen's shotgun asking "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

And he thinks she's talking to him. But apparently she's talking to the half-dressed squirrelly man on top of him, his lips quirked and swollen, with purpling marks scattered along his collarbone. John hasn't woken up enough to understand where he is, what he's doing there and who this man is. But it all clicks when Chuck laughs and says, "I'm the man who fucked John Winchester."
