always good when you can slide your breakdowns to the weekend instead of letting them disrupt your work week
#elika is down to 4.2 lbs and has barely been eating a few mouthfuls per day this week#despite being on steroids AND an appetite stimulant#I think we are pretty close to the end#she's been spending most of the night on my bed recently even though she hasn't done that for a few years#I can't help but think it's because she understands that one of these mornings she won't be waking up again#and she wants to have been near me in the end#funny though how I literally did just keep on trucking through the work week until I signed off friday around 6#and then absolutely could not contain it any longer#🎶compartmentalizing~!🎶

the Jason Genova/Del Rey Misfits story (ongoing) hasn't really gotten outside of bodybuilding YouTube despite several attempts (aborted Netflix show etc) but I think beyond it being a typical "being famous on YouTube usually fucks people up" situation theres a b-plot about the medical abuse of disabled people.
I found out recently that Genova is on monthly injections of long-acting haloperidol, a truly brutal first-generation antipsychotic that causes uncontrollable appetite and weight gain, neurodegeneration, akathisia and dystonia (this was prescribed to him on top of an active tourettes diagnosis which seems unlikely to have made it better). now despite his level of cognitive disability, Genova is a bad person to whatever level of "bad" a person can be blamed when he's got to be around 50 IQ, and level 2 autism, and I certainly dont like him, so this isn't a defense of his behavior. autistic people can be taught empathy and consideration if anyone bothers. so i think his mother absolutely fucked this kid up. but whatever doctor put this kid on monthly haloperidol is either 90 years old or incompetent or both because the only thing that will do for someone like Jason is make him sleepy (and thus easier to control) . people who take antipsychotics typically are constantly fighting brain fog and usually seek out stimulants to stay awake, just like Jason does.
so the antipsychotic weight gain and compulsive eating of junk food (I've personally experienced this with seroquel and it isn't something you can control even with full cognitive function. I used to get up in the middle of the night to eat sugar out of the bag) was being treated as laziness and lack of discipline by the Misfits and the fanbase the entire time. this is normal in bodybuilding, it's part of the culture. it was a cornerstone of the "plot" tension, Jason's "inability to commit" to weight training and cutting. none of his supposed professional coaches or trainers ever address this or consider what piling pre workout into a disabled kid on psychoactive drugs was going to do, and while it's possible they were never informed of his medical history they absolutely should have asked, and with Jason's known reputation as a compulsive liar , they should have double checked until they got a straight answer. Jason's mother enabled Jason to drive by himself, and of course he got into a half dozen serious accidents, injuring himself and god knows who else. this is mostly treated as a joke in the series. and that's kind of a different issue, how the boomer attitude towards disability of just ignoring it as much as possible and pretending the disabled person is average causes just as many bad outcomes as low expectations. Jason many times angrily denies being autistic, or minimizes it as barely diagnosable, when five seconds looking at him shows anyone with any familiarity with autism and other developmental disorders that the only reason he isn't in a care setting is that his mother is in denial and his friends don't have the background to see how bad it is.
it's clear that everyone involved is aware that Jason is "slow" but it's also clear that all the competent adults consider severe disability to be shameful and most of them seem genuinely unaware of the fact that Jason isn't just kind of a goofball who needs a good talking-to, he's developmentally delayed, cognitively struggling at all times to follow basic social interactions and conversations, is borderline illiterate, and has no impulse control. he's also constantly stimming both voluntarily and involuntarily in a way that interferes with his dexterity. he shouldn't have internet access or a smart phone, he shouldn't be allowed or enabled to use preworkout and especially not steroids and research chemicals.
and over the years he is documented, he degenerates badly in a predictable way, becoming more and more incoherent and impulsive. it's basically a moneymaking franchise centered on a profoundly sick man who is being medicated in a way that causes more monetizable outbursts and brain damage leading to compounding eccentricity, which is fairly common in bodybuilding even with participants who start out with average function and ability.
so what the fuck. I don't have a conclusion for this other than the level of dysfunction is impressive, and the amount of the exploitation that does genuinely appear to be occurring ignorant of the full extent of Jason's handicap. Jason really reminds me of the boyfriend I just kicked out, who wasn't nearly as disabled but had many of the same issues, just less severe. and people around him (also a white man) just assume he's a little goofy, and that his expressions of confusion or inappropriate comments are intentional jokes and not times when the masking isn't fully working.

Dianabol
Dianabol is one
of the most commonly used oral steroids . Its chemical name is Methandrostenolone or Methanedienone, 17-alpha-methyl-17beta-hydroxil-androsta- l.4dien-3-on. There are many pharmaceutical and generic variations of the drug, including Anabol and Naposim. It is a steroid for oral use. It was widely used in the 1970s and is still used today for its rapid and intense gains in muscle volume. More information here
Its use stimulates the synthesis of protein in the muscles in a very intense way. It makes nitrogen and calcium show a positive balance. Increases calcium deposit in bones. Produces a feeling of well-being.
Dianabol can be used therapeutically in cases where an anabolic and general strengthening effect is needed as a result. It has been successful in combating osteoporosis.
It is commonly used by weight lifters and bodybuilders to increase their muscle mass and strength, it can be gained between 1 and 2 kilograms per week, during a period of six weeks, after the eighth it stops
producing gains, there are those who in week 6 or 7 add an injectable like
Decadurabolin for another six weeks to continue the gains.
Despite the fact that Dianabol has many potential side effects, these are rare at doses close to 20 mg / day.
Dianabol has a life time of 3.2 to 4.5 hours in blood, therefore it is necessary to ingest it at least 2 times a day to achieve some type of concentration of the substance in the blood. On days of intense training it is convenient to use 3 daily doses. Its consumption with meals is recommended. When ingested, the maximum concentration in blood is reached after 1 to 3 hours.
It produces a decrease in endogenous cortisone by 50 to 70%, which is favorable for increasing muscle mass, since corticosteroid hormones have a catabolic effect.
In addition, Dianabol produces an intense increase in the concentration of testosterone in blood in men and does not suppress the natural axis, it only
inhibits it depending on the dose.
In general it gives a feeling of well-being and high self-esteem, improves appetite and can improve mood.
On the third day after stopping Dianabol use, the blood test for the substance is negative, but the use of steroid substances can be detected by other methods. SEE ANABOLIZING CYCLES Clinical Use of Dianabol Dianabol has been shown to increase anaerobic glycolysis, leading to an increase in body-produced lactic acid. This is positive,
since the muscles use lactic acid to create glycogen, which in
turn provides energy for anaerobic metabolism. Lactic acid is also a key chemical for the elimination of carbohydrates from the diet, which means that there is less chance of gaining weight while using Dianabol.
A study on osteoporosis showed that, at a dose of only 2.5 mg daily for 9 months, Dianabol was more effective than calcium supplements in reducing osteoporotic activity, and it was also shown to increase muscle mass more effective. Another study on osteoporosis, lasting 24 months, showed the effect of Dianabol on osteoporosis; This increased the total calcium and potassium in the body. This may not be of interest to bodybuilders, but the action of calcium is very important for bodybuilding, as it carries a large amount of amino acids and creatine, which are essential for muscle growth. Potassium is also very important, since it helps in cases of muscle contraction, in the transmission of nerve signals and in the release of insulin; thus,
Another very interesting study, although not very significant in terms of bodybuilding, showed that Dianabol increases the sensitivity of laryngeal tumor cells to radiotherapy, and concluded "recommending the use of this hormone during radiotherapy processes in patients with laryngeal cancer." Flavoring Flavoring frequently occurs with Dianabol, that is, it transforms into estrogens, so using Nolvadex is very important while using this product. It also produces fluid retention as a consequence of aromatization and probably changes in the mineral mineral balance, so we must control blood pressure and have a diuretic on hand in case it is necessary. Liver toxicity of dianabol
Being an Alpha Alkylated C 17 compound, it is quite toxic to the liver,
so adding Silymarin is essential and at the same time not prolong its use for
more than 6 - 7 weeks. At high dosages and for longer periods of time, Dianabol (Anabolex) is toxic to the liver, even a dosage of only 10 mg / day can increase liver values, however, after discontinuation of the drug, the values return to The normality. A study in rats showed that, regardless of the dose or the time of administration, Dianabol produces changes in enzyme activity leading to hypertrophy of hepatocytes, showing the toxicity of Dianabol to the liver.
However, in another study it was found that Nerobol (the Russian equivalent of Dianabol) favors the rapid normalization of functional and metabolic disturbances of the liver, which is contradicted by previous tests. This shows that the idea that Dianabol is dangerous is not as negative as some might think. Dosage The dose can vary between 15 and 20 mg. for beginners - intermediate and between 20 - 40 mg. per day for advanced athletes, although there are athletes that reach even 50 mg. From 30 mg. Side effects can be aggravated and roast 40-50 mg. it is simply to increase the side effects without any benefit. Women cannot take this drug. How to cycle Dianabol
To create a cycle for Dianabol based on more use as a supplement than a steroid, we must first take into account the current trend to cycle Dianabol and analyze its possible negative aspects. An average Dianabol cycle is typically structured with 20-40 mg divisions each day for 4-6 weeks, both alone and in combinations with other steroids.
First, a dose of 25 mg or more frequently results in fluid retention. Dianabol is known to aromatize easily, and most of the fluid retention is often attributed to excess estrogen production. However, I consider that fluid retention originally occurs because the body clings to water due to Dianabol's effects on the body's mineral balance, especially on the potassium / sodium balance. This, coupled with the fact that Dianabol produces estrogenic side effects, leads to considerable fluid retention; Since we can't do much about changes in the body's mineral balance, all we can do is try to reduce aromatization, usually with Nolvadex (tamoxifen) or other antiestrogens.
However, this is not the only method: by reducing the dose, the drug will aromatize less, which will lead to less estrogen and, especially, less fluid retention. Reducing the drug during a cycle would lead to a slow reduction in estrogen levels, so we should start the cycle with a lower dose of 10-20 mg every day.
Dividing the dose when following a low dose is practically useless, as a much lower maximum drug level will be obtained. Therefore, in this case it is better to take a single dose in the morning (preferably with grapefruit juice). Although this will not prevent the suppression of natural testosterone, it can reduce it to a certain extent, as the body will continue to have long periods at the end of the day with little testosterone circulation, so it is possible that it produces some.
Now if we take a look at the cycle length 4-6 weeks seems too short to have real effects at such a low dose but can we use Dianabol longer without putting our liver in more danger?
The solution is quite simple: when we stop taking the drug on weekends, we will give the liver a break, without having to process the drug. Due to its short half-life, any active substance will be out of the body in 24 hours from the last dose; It may seem that it will make you earn less, but in reality it will hardly mean long-term losses, since although the body does not have an active drug, its effects are still present, for example, in extra intramuscular fluid, and a greater anabolic mineral balance.
These effects usually diminish for several days. However, this method will not encourage the body's natural testosterone to come out of its inhibited state, as this process may take much longer. If we take a lower dose and rest from it on weekends, in theory we should be able to use Dianabol for 10 weeks without problem. A little math can more clearly show this idea:
6 weeks at 25mg daily = 1050mg Dianabol total
10 weeks break on weekends at 15mg every day = 750mg Dianabol total
Thus, as can be seen, following this system allows the liver to process less Dianabol than in a normal cycle, in addition to the fact that it can obtain benefits for 10 weeks instead of 6, with fewer side effects and obtaining a cycle solid.
This cycle theory can be applied in countless situations, eg a beginner can only use Dianabol for 10 weeks and get very good results. A more experienced steroid user could use it in conjunction with an injectable cycle to get very good results, getting the initial quick benefits of Dianabol and the slower but stronger benefits of the injectable. There are also athletes who use it as a bridge, (rest time between
cycles) that is, after the post cycle or before starting a new one. In this
case 10 mg would be taken. when we get up at the first meal.
This technique can be effective for maintaining muscles, but dangerous for our liver.
It may seem that this cycle goes against the most common trends in the use of Dianabol, but using it as a supplement to good training and nutrition, it can achieve very positive results.

What are Anabolic Steroids and How Do They Work?
Anabolic steroids are often referred to as simply "steroids" in the bodybuilding community. It is similar to testosterone and produces larger muscles quicker. Man-made steroids or anabolic androgen steroids can be used. The abuse of steroids can lead to serious health issues.
Side effects
Steroids are known for causing acne, breast size, testicle size, new hair growth, liver disease, and even cancer. The product mimics testosterone as previously mentioned. It mimics testosterone, so people who use it will soon notice an increase in male hormones that may lead to aggressive behavior.
People should stay clear of anabolic steroids once they have been exposed to their unwanted effects. It is best to avoid them. Why? Because steroids are known for their addictive effects. Steroids are extremely dangerous when used in an improper way and may lead to dependency.
Anabolic steroids may be used in medicine
However, just because you know what anabolic steroids and their side effects are doesn't mean the item is inherently bad. This substance is still being manufactured despite its known side effects. These are some of the medical uses steroids have been used for.
Increases the appetite of a person
Stimulants are used to stimulate people who have problems with their digestion or those who don't eat enough food because of health problems. Because steroids make it easier for the body to eat food, which allows people to live longer. As an added benefit, it can also increase muscle mass. Specific amounts are often given to people with AIDS and cancer.
Steroids for bone marrow
People with hypoplastic anemia used steroids once to stimulate their bone marrow to make the required substances. This item has been replaced by man-made alternatives.
Libido Enhancement
Anabolic steroids can mimic testosterone so it's not surprising that some medical professionals use this to increase the sexual desire of elderly males.
Of course, these are not the only ways that anabolic steroids may be used. But, it is important to know what anabolic steroid are so that you don't use them in a medical capacity. You should opt for natural alternatives.

High Fiber Foods on white wooden background. Flat lay What is interesting is the fact that soluble fiber helps most not only to have a flat stomach but also to maintain a flat stomach. Soluble fiber acts as a prebiotic that promotes the growth of beneficial gut microorganisms. Fiber-rich foods will keep you full for a long time without feeling a sudden drop in energy. It is always good to have healthy snacks near you to satisfy hunger temporarily. Dried fruit contains iron and is an ideal antioxidant cocktail with vitamins and beta-carotene, which fights free radicals. It contains many nutrients and is a great source of antioxidants, especially polyphenols. Therefore, you should always be on hand. Nuts are also healthy snacks that are also rich in nutrients. Healthy foods that will satisfy you are high in protein and low in sugars. Major sources of soluble fiber are flaxseed, legumes, cereals, fruits, and vegetables. The combination of healthy fats and large amounts of fiber make flaxseeds great for weight loss and weight maintenance. Consume whole grain rice as it maintains weight, due to its nutrient-rich fiber. Also, include oats in your diet, as it contains undigested starch that acts like soluble fiber. Of course, it doesn't matter what you eat but how much you eat. Be moderate in eating and modify the above tips to not only have a flat stomach but also good digestive and overall health. Good luck to everyone who wants to have a flat stomach, and remembers that exercise along with diet is two things to succeed. What Are Peptides And How They Are Different From SARMs
Peptides are biological molecules that occur naturally. They are found in all living organisms and play a vital role in different biological activities. Similar to proteins, peptides are also formed (synthesized) naturally from transcription of a sequence of the genetic code, DNA. Transcription is the biological process, where a specific DNA gene sequence is copied into a messenger molecule, mRNA, which further carries the code for a given peptide or a protein. Reading from the mRNA, a chain of amino acids is joined together by the peptide bonds which later form into a single molecule. There are 20 such naturally-occurring amino acids and, like letters are combined to form words, they can also be combined into immense variety of different molecules.
When a molecule consist 2-50 amino acids, then it is called a peptide, whereas a larger chain consisting more than 50 amino acids is generally referred to as a protein.
If we talk about human body, peptides are found in all cells and tissues, which perform wide range of essential functions. Maintenance of appropriate concentration and activity levels of peptides is important to achieve homeostasis and maintaining health. The function that a peptide carries out is dependent on the various types of amino acids involved in the chain and their sequence, as well as the specific shape of the peptide. Peptides often act as hormones and constitute biologic messengers that carry information from one tissue through the blood to another.
Two common classes of hormones are peptide hormones and steroid hormones. Peptide hormones are produced in glands, and in the number of other tissues like the stomach, the intestine and the brain. For example peptide hormones are those involved in blood glucose regulation, including insulin, glucagon-like-peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucagon, and those which regulate appetite, including ghrelin.
For a peptide to exert its effect, it needs to be bind to a specific receptor for that peptide, which has to be located in the membrane of relevant cells. A receptor penetrates the cell membrane and consists of an extracellular domain where the peptide binds. It is an intracellular domain through which the peptide exerts its function upon binding and activation of the receptor. An example of such receptor is the GLP-1 receptor, which is located on beta cells in the pancreas. Upon activation of the receptor by natural GLP-1 or a peptide analog the cell is stimulated through a series of biological events to release insulin.
There are many online stores from where peptides can be purchased, however it is not yet confirmed that it is legal or not or has been confirmed by FDA or not. For now these peptides are used for research purposes only. But still you can buy bremelanotide on some hosting websites, while it has not been legalized. Bremelanotide or PT-141 Bremelanotide is the generic term for a research peptide being studied for its possible use that helps in improving sexual dysfunction in both men (erectile dysfunction or impotence) and women (sexual arousal disorder). It was developed from the tanning peptide Melanotan 2, which is a synthetically produced variant of a peptide hormone, naturally produced in the body that stimulates melanogenesis, also known as alpha-Melanocyte stimulating hormone.
Despite the fact that there has been plenty of research on PT-141 (Bremelanotide) in relation to how it functions and the benefits that can be derived, it should be emphasized that the peptide is still just intended for scientific study only at this point in time. Likewise, instead of buy bremelanotide you may also buy pt 141 bremelanotide which is the same thing, with only difference is that pt 141 is its investigation code.
Difference Between Peptides And SARMs
SARMs are a type of androgen receptor ligands which selectively bind themselves to the androgen receptors. They build up muscle power and serve as a fast acting performance enhancer. Therefore, SARMs are a good anabolic steroid replacement as they do not show the signs of Liver damage when taken orally. Because of its unique advantage and to earn money, some of the manufactures have made these SARMs into bodybuilding-focused products. But still, due to regulations and other issues, Companies were forced to stop selling SARMs in the US. But in other countries like Europe, people are still able to purchase sarms from the Enhanced Athlete EU website.
Also, SARMs can generate an effect which is similar to the testosterone but, with fewer side effects as shown by testosterone. One of the most important features of SARMs is that different types of SARMs can selectively target various tissues. That means, some SARMs are specific for muscle building while others are specific for leaning out fat in the body. Some examples of SARMs include RAD 140, LGD 4033, Ostarine, Andarine (S-4, GTx-007), BMS-564,929, etc. However the SARMs industry is not yet regulated so one has to really get ensured 100% before one go and buy liquid sarms as these are not for human consumption.
While on the other side Peptides are a type of bodybuilding supplements which comprises of polypeptide chains with less than 50 amino acids. The amino acid chains with 10 to 100 amino acids are known as polypeptides while polypeptides with more than 50 amino acids are known as proteins. However, peptides are better than proteins and creatine which is used in muscle building.
Moreover, peptides produce less-long side effects in comparison to the other steroids used for this purpose. They are used as GH secretagogue and are responsible for increasing the secretion of growth hormone. Also, there are two main forms of peptides: synthetic forms of GHRH (growth hormone releasing hormone) and GHRP (growth hormone releasing peptides).
Another difference between SARMs and peptides is that SARMs are synthetic while peptides can be either synthetic or natural. SARMs bind to the androgen receptors in the muscle and bones, increasing their growth, while peptides increases the release of growth hormone. SARMs produce a highly selective effect on bone and muscle building while the selective effect of peptides on muscle building is comparatively low. Therefore, both SARMs and peptides can be used to increase bone and muscle mass. However, the main difference between SARMs and peptides lies is their method of action and selectivity.

Cortisol, Stress and the Adrenal Glands
Do you have a cortisol stress belly? Is it hard for you to lose fat? Are you under a lot of stress? These are questions that are related to high cortisol and your inability to lose fat. If you're under a lot of stress, several things occur. Cortisol, which is your primary stress hormone, becomes elevated. Short increases in cortisol is not a problem as it helps boost energy and is useful for dealing with any life stressors. However, prolonged exposure to stress causes chronically high cortisol levels, and if the stress is maintained for long periods, the following can occur:
• This hormone will cause you to gain belly fat • A decrease in muscle mass • Eventually slows down your metabolism • Physical Burnout - low energy and no motivation
Cortisol Burnout
In the long run, if you still haven't changed your lifestyle, and you're under a lot of stress, your adrenal glands and your brain will get pooped out - producing less and less cortisol. This leaves you feeling tired, exhausted and you get to the point where it is tough to get out of bed in the morning. This state is called adrenal dysfunction - it is also commonly called adrenal fatigue, but this is probably not the best terminology to understand the physiology of why greater stress over time, leads to less and less cortisol production and lower energy levels.
Cortisol - The Counter-Contributor to Fat Loss
Cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, will increase during tension-filled times which can result in overeating. The relationship between stress and weight loss is further established when observing Cortisol levels. Cortisol affects fat distribution by causing the fat to be stored centrally around organs. The higher the stress, the greater the fat accumulation.
When cortisol levels rise, so do your insulin levels which then cause your blood sugar levels to drop creating an increase in cravings for sugary and fatty foods, also known as "comfort foods." According to Jason Perry Block, MD, eating is a source of stress relief as he states, "This happens, in part, because the body releases chemicals in response to food that might have a direct calming effect." According to Shawn M. Talbott, Ph.D., a nutritional biochemist, "More stress = more cortisol = higher appetite for junk food = more belly fat." In other words, high stress and weight loss go hand in hand.
The stress hormone cortisol is also antagonistic to testosterone production. According to Robert Josephs, professor of psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, "It makes good adaptive sense that testosterone's behavioral influence during an emergency situation gets blocked because engaging in behaviors that are encouraged by testosterone, such as mating, competition, and aggression, during an imminent survival situation could be fatal." "When cortisol levels remain elevated, as is the case with so many people who are under constant stress, the ability to reproduce can suffer greatly," Josephs said. "However, these effects of cortisol in both men and women are reversed when stress levels go down."
Stress levels and weight loss are also connected in other ways. High stress levels cause decrease in growth hormone levels which are directly associated with greater visceral fat. Therefore, high levels of stress leads to lower growth hormones which lead to more visceral fat. The production of growth hormone, also known as somatotropin, is controlled by many factors including stress, exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
Stress - The Origin of Illness
A study conducted at Yale concluded that there is a relationship between stress and weight loss. They showed that women who were not considered to be overweight were still vulnerable to the effects of stress and are more likely to have excess abdominal fat. This study was the first to show that lean women with abdominal fat, also referred to as "stress belly," also had higher responses to cortisol.
According to Elissa S. Epel, Ph.D., lead investigator on the study she conducted while at Yale's psychology department, stated that "Greater exposure to life stress or psychological vulnerability to stress may explain their enhanced cortisol reactivity. In turn, their cortisol exposure may have led them to accumulate greater abdominal fat."
When we are chronically stressed, we become prone to getting an extra layer of visceral fat around our bellies due to the ample supply of blood vessels and cortisol receptors which creates a perfect storm leading to more belly fat being accumulated. The belly fat then releases chemicals that trigger inflammation which then lead to such health issues as diabetes and heart disease. Another downfall to stress and cortisol is that excess cortisol slows the metabolism because your body wants to maintain enough glucose to tolerate this added stress.
Adrenal Glands - The Headmaster of Hormones
The adrenal glands are comprised of two glands that sit above the kidneys, each gland having two parts. 1. Adrenal Cortex - This is the outer part of the gland which produces hormones that are critical for daily life such as: o Cortisol - Regulates metabolism as well as being the primary response to stress. o Aldosterone - Helps control blood pressure
2. Adrenal Medulla - This is the inner part of the gland which produces hormones such as adrenaline that helps the body react to stress.
Adrenal Cortex - The Critical Controller
The adrenal cortex produces two main groups of corticosteroid hormones. 1. Glucocorticoids - This group produces o Hydrocortisone - This hormone, also known as cortisol which regulates how the body converts proteins, carbohydrates, and fats for energy. o Corticosterone - This hormone works with hydrocortisone to control immune responses and suppress inflammatory reactions.
2. Mineralocorticoids - Aldosterone is the principal mineralocorticoid which balances out water and salt to maintain blood pressure.
Pregnenolone - The Life Raft to Stress
Pregnenolone is a steroid hormone found naturally in the body and produced by the adrenal glands, but can also be supplemented into your diet. This steroid hormone is a critical player in the production of other steroid hormones including: • Progesterone • DHEA • Estrogen • Testosterone • Cortisol
The Health Benefits of Pregnenolone • Sharpening memory • Stimulating the immune system • Reducing stress Pregnenolone levels will drop if the adrenals are stressed or fatigued.
Causes of Adrenal Dysfunction • Psychological stress • Lack of sleep • Lack of exercise • Illness or injury • Inadequate nutrition
Symptoms of Adrenal Dysfunction • Poor concentration • Weakness • Irritability • Insomnia • Depression • Increased hunger
Pregnenolone levels will peak during youth and then gradually decline over the years. Other hormones that decrease with age include testosterone and growth hormone. In my experience as a holistic personal trainer in Los Angeles, it’s proven that with a healthy lifestyle, you can still optimize your hormones despite your age.
Pregnenolone Steal and Energy Burnout: "I just don't feel like I used to, why???" Most people notice that as they age, if they are under increased stress over long periods of time, they just don't bounce back and have the same energy levels that they used to. Why is this? Usually, life stressors such as intense work, family or relationship issues, financial challenges and/or a health crisis, can all lead to a point where the body can not bounce back. You feel emotionally flat, that it is hard to get out of bed in the morning and you begin to notice that you go out less often and are less sociable. These are signs that your body is burning out. So what is going on scientifically speaking and from a hormone perspective?
So, let's take a look at this graph above (see graph). I know it looks complicated, but it will make sense in a few minutes, bare with me...
As you can see in the upper right hand corner is your dietary fats. All hormones are made from fat. These fats come from the fats you eat in foods such as steak, eggs, coconut oil, butter, ghee or olive oil. These fats eventually get converted into pregnenolone (see graph). Pregnenolone is an interesting hormone, it can either go down into your power hormones such as DHEA, testosterone or growth hormones (see graph), or pregnenolone can go to the left into progesterone and down into cortisol; this is the cortisol pathway or stress pathway (see graph). Now this part is important:
Power hormones such as DHEA, testosterone or growth hormones are incredibly important for fat loss and muscle gain. They are also important for mood, energy and libido.
Cortisol is important for managing stress, infections and overall energy levels. When you are healthy, pregnenolone is both converted into the cortisol or stress pathway and the power hormone pathway - in other words, your body is in a balanced state so that you are optimized with all hormones that were mentioned previously. The result is that you feel great and that your life hormonal speaking is optimized and easier - work is great, life is great and everything feels great! However, if you are under long bouts of stress for a long period of time, what ensues is the "pregnenolone steal" - to much pregnenolone is being rushed down the cortisol or stress pathway and not enough is being allocated to your power hormones.
So, the point is to have a healthy lifestyle which will optimize your hormones. Work life balance is the first place you should focus on, as this is the primary cause of most people's stress. Other stressors that can throw off your hormones are family or relationship issues, financial challenges and/or a health crisis. If you want to lose weight, all of these issues must be addressed.
Please note, that under eating and/or under eating and over exercising can also a huge stressor. To learn more about this, click here.

CBD Oil for Migraines & Headaches: Does It Work?
When it comes to headaches and migraines, little is known about their direct cause. What we do know is that they can occur for a wide variety of reasons, most of which are dependent on the individual and their lifestyle. Things like too much to drink, dehydration, and caffeine withdrawal are common reasons for the throbbing pain you feel. In the case of migraines specifically, medical professionals believe that imbalanced levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter, causes blood vessels in the brain to dilate thus triggering a migraine episode.
Beyond this, when there is inflammation or irregularities in the complex network of blood vessels and the tissue that surrounds them (nerves, muscles, and soft tissues), we see headaches occur . Although not the only option, a popular solution is to block out the pain with over-the-counter NSAID’s like Advil, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen. Unfortunately, as a long-term solution, these medications can cause health issues like poor liver function and even stomach bleeding if not taken with food.
Luckily, there is another option that has been around for decades and that is the use of CBD oil/cannabis. In this article, we will explore why it works and how individuals can use it safely.
How is the Endocannabinoid System Involved With Migraines?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) in humans is responsible for helping our body deal with pain, emotional balance, and healing. This system is a complex network of receptors, which many of us know as CB1 and CB2 receptors, where cannabis-like chemicals can interact and bind to. These receptors help modulate pain, help boost the immune system, and aid in sleep, mood, memory, and appetite. A study that was carried out in 2007, noted that when there were reduced levels of anandamide, patients saw an increase in chronic head pain due to endocannabinoid dysfunction or impairment.
This study along with many others, lead Dr. Ethan Russo to coin the term, clinical endocannabinoid deficiency, which essentially states that if you do not have enough endocannabinoids in your system, you will feel pain thereby experiencing headaches or migraines. Although this is simplifying it, there is a known relationship between migraines and the endocannabinoid system.
How Does CBD Oil Work for Migraines?
Unlike THC found in psychoactive cannabis, CBD oil does not bind directly with the endocannabinoid receptors but instead activates non-endocannabinoid receptors like the 5-HT1A serotonin receptor and the TRPV-1 receptor. This is incredibly important as serotonin is responsible for regulating social behavior, mood, memory, sleep, and appetite and is known as the happiness or well-being chemical.
TRPV-1 receptors are responsible for the transmission and modulation of pain and how pain is perceived by the brain. Beyond this, if an individual has too much FAAH or fatty acid amide hydrolase, it breaks down the endocannabinoid anandamide in the body, which means that an individual will have lower levels of this in the brain. If the fatty acid is inhibited, an individual may have more pain relief from migraines because they have more anandamide within their body.
When you use cannabis or CBD oil, regardless of how you take it, the active cannabinoids in the plant will interact with your receptors. If you are experiencing a migraine or a headache, this interaction will either reduce the inflammation in the muscles, blood vessel network, or tissue, or in the case of endocannabinoid deficiency, it will bring your neurochemicals back up to where they need to be to provide you with pain relief.
Backing Studies That Show Decrease in Migraines After Cannabis Use
If we take a look back at the medical system between 1839 and 1937, cannabis was a regular prescription for those who suffered from headaches and migraines. This can be seen in the Use of Cannabis for Headache Disorders, which looks at the historical trends in cannabis use for headache treatments. Unfortunately, in the 1930’s, Cannabis was banned from being used as a medical treatment or as a recreational drug.
Despite the fact that there have only been a handful of studies done on CBD with respect to headaches and migraines specifically, there has been evidence shown in laboratory studies that CBD oil can stop migraines due to its anti-inflammatory properties. A recent, 2016 study called the Effects of Medical Marijuana on Migraine Headache Frequency in an Adult Population, actually found that 85% of the patients had a reduction in migraine episodes after using CBD oil. Other stats from this study include that almost twelve percent of the subjects completely stopped having migraines, while forty percent reported positive effects of the treatment. Only two percent saw an increase in migraine frequency while twelve percent saw no change.
How Do You Take CBD for Migraines?
One of the great things about CBD oil is you can take it in a myriad of ways and include it in your daily routine. You can take in capsule form, as an ingredient in consumable products, inhaled or vaped, applied to the skin, or through oral sprays and drops. A lot of individuals will want to use the sublingual method (through the digestive system) as this has the strongest effect.
You simply place a few drops of CBD oil underneath your tongue and let them get absorbed into the skin membrane. Although not required, it is recommended that you drink a glass of water afterward. For those who want to vape or smoke it, this has the quickest effect because it doesn’t need to go through your digestive system but the duration of the effect is much shorter.
CBD for Migraines – Is There a Dosage Guideline?
This will completely depend on how intensely CBD oil affects your system. It is highly recommended for individuals to start off with a small amount of anywhere between 10mg – 25 mg per day to see how your system reacts. If you need more, take incremental steps and increase the dosage by 10mg until you get the relief you need for your headache or migraine.
Generally, up to 20mg should be enough for chronic pain relief but for extremely severe migraines, you can take anywhere between 40-60mg. On days where you do not have a migraine, you can take a lower dosage to keep the frequency of episodes down.
Are There Potential Side Effects? Overall there are very minimal side effects of taking CBD oil orally or through smoking which is why it is an excellent alternative to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen. Some things to keep in mind is that if you vape it, you may experience some lung irritation which can lead to wheezing, constant coughing, and some breathing difficulties. If you have asthma or a lung condition, it is recommended that you avoid smoking it and instead use an oral method. It is possible to get an upset stomach or experience sleepiness from taking it.
In Summary: Yes, CBD Oil Can Be Used for Headaches and Migraines
Despite the limited amount of studies done on headaches and migraines, both laboratory and anecdotal studies have shown that it is an effective option for migraine sufferers. Not only can it help alleviate chronic pain caused by inflammation of the blood vessels, muscle tissues, and soft tissues, but it can actually balance out your endocannabinoid system so that it functions properly.
Beyond this, it is a much safer option than long-term use of NSAID’s as it is unlikely to have any long-standing effects. Migraine and headache sufferers will not only find relief from pain, but may find an increase in happiness, general well-being, sleep, appetite, and memory due to how the CBD oil stimulates non-cannabinoid receptors in the brain.

Hoodia-Pure
Hoodia gordonii is often marketed as the ultimate appetite suppressant, the perfect accompaniment to any serious dieter’s healthy eating plan. This interesting cactus was first discovered by the western world in the late 1990s, after research groups investigated a traditional tribal remedy for hunger. However, major corporate interest in Hoodia waned after just a few years, after it emerged that the once-promising ingredient was completely ineffective and the source of dozens of unpleasant side effects. It is now sold only within the unregulated free-for-all that is the supplement market.
Below we take an in-depth look into Hoodia-Pure, to see whether this concentrated form of hoodia is any more effective than the hundreds of others that came before it.

What You Need To Know About Hoodia-Pure
Hoodia-Pure is a weight-loss supplement that contains hoodia gordonii, a discredited appetite suppressant from South Africa. Taken from cactus leaves, hoodia gordonii was once regarded by South African bushmen as an effective cure for hunger, sparking a scramble amongst major drug companies to obtain exclusive rights to sell it. After a major study showed that hoodia gordonii consistently failed to show any useful benefits, most major companies dropped their interest and the ingredient is now only sold to unwitting customers by smaller companies looking for a quick buck.
Hoodia-Pure is manufactured by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, a US-based supplement store based in the USA. Hi-Tech Pharma (as they are often called) are known mainly for their extraordinary history of litigation, having fought long and protracted legal battles with the FTC, FDA, respected university professors, medical authorities and rival companies. The company is currently fighting to overturn the FDA’s existing ban on the dangerous stimulant DMAA, and continues to sell DMAA-based products until the legal point is clarified. The company is also associated with its selling of a useless form of ephedra and other products that attempt to mimic and impersonate illegal steroids.
Hi-Tech Pharma claim that their hoodia gordonii product, Hoodia-Pure, was the first on the market in the year 2000 (it wasn’t) and that their product is especially pure and powerful. Readers should be warned that this potency may not make the product any more effective in terms of weight-loss, but may make it more severe in terms of side effects.
What Are The Side Effects Of Hoodia-Pure?
In the landmark study that disproved the notion that hoodia gordonii could suppress appetite, the ingredient was found to cause headaches, nausea, vomiting, skin tingling, increased heart rate and increased blood pressure. From just 25 participants in 15 days, over 200 incidents of side effects were mentioned in total, meaning that side effects are actually remarkably common.
Hoodia gordonii is also known to cause long-term damage to the body, particularly to the liver.
How Much Does Hoodia-Pure Cost?
A 60-capsule bottle of Hoodia-Pure costs $24-$25 from most online retailers, except for the official Hi-Tech Pharma webstore where it costs significantly more ($49.95).
Customers can find the product for the cheapest prices from TF Supplements, A1 Supplements, www.illpumpyouup.com and others.
Our Verdict On Hoodia-Pure
Supplement manufacturers love to use hoodia gordonii in their products, despite the fact that the ingredient is well known for being useless. Major drug companies like Pfizer and Unilever gave up all rights to sell the ingredient in the early noughties after discovering that it was ineffective and slightly risky to use, and the FTC has actually begun to level charges at companies that sell hoodia gordonii (on the basis that they are committing advertising fraud).
It simply doesn’t work, and any positive customer feedback at this point is almost certainly down to the placebo effect. Hoodia-Pure is said to be particularly strong and potent, but this will not make the ingredient any more effective. If anything, it will simply make its many side effects more potent, leaving customers with liver damage, stomach problems and itchy skin.
The manufacturer, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, is not known for the quality of its products in general. All Hi-Tech Pharma supplements are generally overpriced, are rarely sold with the appropriate ingredient quantity information printed on the label, and are never protected by a money-back guarantee or returns policy.
Readers looking for a good appetite suppressant would be advised to try glucomannan, and should stay away from any hoodia gordonii products at all costs.
We do not recommend Hoodia-Pure to our readers.

Hoodia-Pure Review
Hoodia-Pure is a single-ingredient weight-loss supplement that claims to suppress the appetite. This product uses a powdered form of a South African cactus called Hoodia Gordonii, which has been used by the local San people as an appetite suppressant for centuries. The manufacturer claims that their version of the popular ingredient is the strongest available, using a 20:1 extract that supposedly delivers greater benefits than other rivals on the market.
Hoodia-Pure Facts
Manufactured by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals
Contains 60 capsules per bottle
Single-ingredient appetite suppressant
Hoodia-Pure is produced and sold by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, an American manufacturer of various sports, weight-loss and sexual enhancement supplements. Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals’ website is surprisingly poorly written and hard to understand for an English-speaking company, giving an unprofessional appearance that fails to inspire confidence in the quality of the products. As of 2017, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals is far more well-known for its legal battles with American authorities and university professors than for its effective and high-quality supplements. The company can be contacted via the contact details provided on the website.
How to Take Hoodia-Pure
The directions for use are as follows:
Take one tablet twice daily.
Hoodia-Pure Concerns:
No money-back guarantee
Product’s only ingredient has been proven to be ineffective
Manufacturer has poor reputation and makes frequent false claims
What Does Hoodia-Pure Claim To Do?
Hoodia Gordonii is intended to work as an appetite suppressant, helping dieters to avoid food cravings and ensure that weight-loss programs are more effective. The manufacturer, Hi-Tech Pharma, actually claims that Hoodia is 10,000 times more effective at suppressing appetite than glucose.
Hi-Tech Pharma also insists that their product is significantly stronger than others on the market. They accuse rivals of failing to use real and authentic hoodia gordonii, and claim that their standardized extract contains the highest possible levels of steroidal saponins and pregnane glycosides (the active ingredients that supposedly suppress the appetite).
Does Hoodia-Pure Work?
Regardless of the strength of Hoodia-Pure, this product will not work. This is because hoodia gordonii has been shown to be wholly ineffective and no more useful as an appetite suppressant than a placebo. The sole reliable clinical trial covering hoodia gordonii (that wasn’t published by a company that sells it) showed that it failed to impact weight-loss, failed to affect appetite, and caused a number of harmful side effects.
What Are The Ingredients of Hoodia-Pure?
The sole ingredient that makes up Hoodia-Pure is listed below. The quantity listed is correct for 1 tablet of Hoodie-Pure.
Hoodia Gordonii (as Hoodia-Pure) 20:1 extract, Hoodia Gordonii powder (cactus) 1000mg: This plant extract was eaten traditionally in the South African bush to stave off hunger. There is almost no clinical evidence that actually proves that it works, and far more studies that show that the product is ineffective and unsafe, frequently causing a wide range of side effects. Source: http://ift.tt/1GiqmUf http://ift.tt/2g4rO83
Does Hoodia-Pure Have Any Side Effects?
Participants in the sole reliable trial testing Hoodia Gordonii reported numerous side effects whilst using it. These side effects included headaches, nausea, vomiting, strange skin sensations, increased blood pressure and increased heart rate. Hoodia is also well-known for causing liver damage, a problem that worsens over time.
Notably, of the 49 women participating in the original trial, 25 were tasked with taking the Hoodia supplement. A remarkable 208 incidences of side effects associated with Hoodia were reported over the course of a 15-day trial, suggesting that side effects are actually incredibly common.
Caution: Not for use by individuals under the age of 18 years. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing. This product can raise blood pressure and interfere with other drugs you may be taking. Talk to your doctor about this product.
Are There Any Customer Reviews For Hoodia-Pure?
Hoodia-Pure has received little to no buzz online, and we were only able to locate a couple of comments. Both are extremely positive, although given the significant evidence showing that hoodia doesn’t work, we have to take these comments as evidence of the power of placebo.
Great product works wonderful
Hoodia has been around for a while and I am glad to see people still take it. Hoodia has always been one of my favorite appetite suppressants and energy boosters all in one. I love the stuff and wouldn’t be caught without it.
Does Hoodia-Pure Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?
On the official Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals website, no mention is made of a money-back guarantee or a returns policy of any kind.
The returns policies of third party retailers may vary.
Where Can I Buy Hoodia-Pure?
Hoodia-Pure can be purchased from several independent online retailers, including the Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals website, A1 Supplements, TF Supplements, www.illpumpyouup.com and more. Hi-Tech Pharma products have long been discontinued on more mainstream (but non-specialist) outlets like Amazon and Walmart, mainly due to the manufacturer’s unfortunate reputation for churning out unsafe products.
A 60-capsule supply of Hoodia-Pure costs $49.95 on the official Hi-Tech Pharma website, and appears to cost around $24-$25 from other outlets.
iHerb charge $24.95, plus delivery charges.
One online store, www.illpumpyouup.com, charges $24.95 per bottle plus delivery charges.
The cheapest price we found was $23.95 from the TF Supplements webstore. Delivery charges may also apply.

Prohormones Guide
There are a multitude of supplements available on the market today for people who have a variety of fitness goals.
Of particular note for bodybuilding supplements are Prohormones, widely considered the most powerful of supplement that one can take to increase muscle mass and testosterone.
In this Prohormones Guide, we will delve into the specifics, as well as the pros and cons. The final verdict is left up to the reader to decide if Prohormones are for them.
Ultimate Guide to Prohormones
As stated previously, Prohormones could be classified as the most interesting type of supplement available to consumers today. They are classified as the most potent supplement that one can take if they seek to increase their muscle mass and testosterone levels.
The most commonly reported benefits of Prohormones are that they are known to lead to huge gains in both size and strength. In other words, Prohormones can lead one to feel stronger with an increased vitality and sense of overall well-being.
It should be noted that Prohormones should not be considered steroids, rather they can act as a natural alternative to steroids.
Prohormones are known to be inexpensive. They are easily purchased online and cost between $30 and $50, depending where one looks. The price is inclusive of a month supply of testosterone-boosting power delivered directly to one’s door.
As mentioned previously, Prohormones are widely considered the natural alternative to steroids. It goes without saying that steroids carry a dangerous stigma in the bodybuilding community.
Many people have suffered life-changing complications and even fatalities as the result of taking steroids. This is why steroids are illegal in the United States and are a strictly controlled substance in the Canada.
Interestingly, steroids are not illegal in every country in the world. For example, in the United kingdom they are legal to import, and in other countries they are easy to get your hands on.
What Are Prohormones?
It should be noted that Prohormones are not strictly hormones that one puts into their bodies. Instead they contain compounds that interact one’s hormonal balance in the body. All of the hormones that can be found in the human body correspond to a prohormone.
For example, there are prohormones for testosterone as well as estrogen. The human body naturally produces prohormones without man-made intervention, including proinsulin and pro-opiomelanocortin.
Prohormones Versus Anabolic Steroids
As stated previously, it may be useful to readers to consider Prohormones as a less potent form of steroids. The main difference between prohormones and steroids largely comes down to their legal status in most countries.
Anabolic steroids are almost always illegal, while prohormones are much easier to get your hands on legally.
However, due to the potency of prohormones, governments of many countries have recently been cracking down on prohormone companies.
It is for this reason that one is advised to make their orders in bulk because the next time could be the last if it is taken off the market due to legal issues.
It could be argued that the entire range of prohormones exists because steroids are prohibited in most places. When steroids were banned in countries across the board, prohormones surfaced as an alternative to bridge the gap in the marketplace.
Another key difference between prohormones and testosterone is how it interacts with compounds in the body.
For example, users of steroids are injecting pure testosterone into their bodies, while prohormones stimulates the body to raise testosterone levels, which is where the prohormones name comes from.
The response from the American government in relation to prohormones has been swift and decisive. In 2004, George Bush signed an act called the Anabolic Steroid Control Act. In one movement, that act made both steroids and prohormones illegal.
In addition to this, FDA regulation increased across the board. Following suit from their American counterparts, many countries such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand also started to crack down on steroids and prohormones.
In short, prohormones are a weaker and thus less effective form of anabolic steroids. If one has access to both, most bodybuilders will recommend using steroids over prohormones.
Both come with the risk of dangerous side effects, but steroids are known to provide better results.
Are Prohormones Illegal?
It should be noted that prohormones are clearly defined as being illegal in most developed countries. The legal status of steroids should also be clarified. Steroids are known as a Schedule III controlled substance by the FDA, and being caught with possession of said steroids can carry a penalty of up to one thousand dollars and a year spent in a federal prison. Trafficking steroids carries a much higher penalty, carrying a five year imprisonment and $250,000 fine for the first offense.
What about prohormones? The legality of prohormones differs slightly. The most potent formulas are already banned because of their potentially dangerous complications. Despite common opinion about the government, they know what they are doing.
They understand that taking chemicals that turn into hormones is basically the same as injecting the hormone into one’s body.
The legal contention around prohormones is largely within the the legislation of America’s ban of steroids and its interpretation.
The problem lies in the wording of America’s steroid ban. Specifically, anabolic steroids are legally defined as the following:
— They Have A Molecular Structure Related To Testosterone
— They Have A Pharmacology Related To Testosterone; And
— They Are Not An Estrogen, Progestin, Or Corticosteroid
As seen in the above description, most prohormones are considered to be a controlled substance as they act very similar to anabolic steroids. Additionally, in order for the substance to be illegal, the supplement must enhance or promote muscle growth.
Not every prohormone is designed to increase one’s muscle size, which could mean that they are legal for one to use. However, this may be a self-defeating exercise, as most people who take prohormones are looking to increase their muscle growth, making the legal supplements useless.
Some Prohormones Are Still Legal
It doesn’t take one hours of searching before they find that prohormones are largely available for sale online. Some prohormones are even sold in health foods and supermarkets.
However, most of the supplements sold in the aforementioned stores lack the original formula that made them popular in the first place. They are known as watered versions of the real deal.
It should also be noted that steroids are still prescribed for medical conditions today. For example, Corticosteroids are commonly prescribed to reduce swelling and inflammation.
In some extreme cases, traditional anabolic steroids will be recommended to be used by the patient in the following cases:
— When a patient chooses to undergo gender reassignment surgery
— When a patient requires appetite stimulation and preservation of muscle mass due to degenerative conditions like cancer or AIDS
Other than that, legal use of anabolic steroids for medical purposes is unheard of.
What Are the Benefits of Using Prohormones?
Prohormones are also known on forums as PH. PHs are known to deliver dramatic increases in one’s strength, size and sex drive.
Both women and men can benefit from prohormones as they stimulate the body’s natural production of testosterone, which is the primary chemical that be body metabolises to form muscle mass.
Below is a comprehensive list that one may experience as a result of taking prohormones.
— Increased Muscle Mass
— Improved Physical Appearance, Including A “manlier” Looking Face
— A More Defined Jawline
— Superior Strength And Endurance
— More Facial Hair Growth
— Deeper Voice
What Are the Side Effects of Prohormones?
As seen in the case of anabolic steroids, Prohormones also come with a litany of possible side effects.
While there are some ways to avoid, or at least minimize the impact of the said side effects, there are reportedly some lengths that one can go through to minimize their impact, it is rare that one can avoid all possible side effects.
It is therefore very important that one is careful with their dosage, usage and post cycle therapy.
Here are some of the common side effects you may experience while cycling on and off prohormones:
— Acne
— Hypertension
— Swollen Prostate
— Liver Damage
— Breast Enlargement
It should be noted that prohormones are considered to be hepatotoxic, which means they can have severe interactions on one’s liver. For this reason they are recommended that one cycles on and off the supplements.
For example, one should take prohormones for a month, and then stop taking prohormones for two months.
Can I Drink While Taking Prohormones?
Drinking alcohol is one of the biggest mistakes that someone can make when taking steroids or prohormones. Prohormones are notoriously bad for the liver over long-term use.
The liver is already working very hard to process all of the hormones being going through it. It’s overworked with a huge amount of stress put on it every time someone takes prohormones. When taken with alcohol, one’s liver is experiencing stress from two different sources.
The combination of alcohol and prohormones is known to lead to severe liver problems and other medical issues. Additionally, alcohol is known to prevent muscle growth via the synthesis of protein, which is why most people take prohormones in the first place.
How to Minimize Prohormone Side Effects with Post Cycle Therapy
Post Cycle Therapy is arguably the most important step of taking these hormones.
There are many different post cycle therapies available to users. it is advised that one research the best method for them. some of the most popular post cycle therapy for steroids and prohormones include:
— Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERM)
— Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex)
— Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid)
One should be careful with post cycle therapy. in some cases they are known to artificially increase your levels of testosterone, which means you’ll need a post cycle therapy to come down from your post cycle therapy!
The end goal of post cycle therapy is to bring ones body back to it’s normal hormone levels. One is normalizing a body back to it’s normal hormone production before one overloads it with fake hormones.
How to Protect Your Liver
As mentioned previously, the user’s liver is put under enormous stress as a result of taking prohormones. Even if one is diligent about the dosage, and does not consume alcohol while taking prohormones, it is still recommended to take a liver support supplement. For example, Milk Thistle is a known supplement to protect one’s liver. Alternatives include green tea, lecithin, NAC and Taurine.
What Are the Most Popular Prohormones?
It can be difficult to create a list of the world’s most popular prohormones, this is because products get taken off the market on a regular basis. Products that one may purchase today may not be available next month.
Additionally, supplement companies are known to change in marketing and branding on a regular basis. However, below is a list of some of the most popular prohormones, and pro hormone support supplements that are currently available to users today.
— Alpha-1 MAX by Blackstone Labs
— Revolution PCT Black + Pure Test Combo
— 17-Methyl-dione Extreme
— Cycle Support by Iron Labs Nutrition
— Wyked Labs M1-Alpha Mega Mass Builder
— All American EFX Kre-Alkalyn EFX
— The Clear-Max LMG
— BPI Sports Anabolic Elite Mineral Supplement
How Much Do Prohormones Cost?
The cost of prohormones varies in price depending on the type of supplement as well as the brand in question. Most supplements range from $30 to $50, which can be considered cheap in comparison to other supplements on the market.
There are however some other costs which need to be considered before one starts taking prohormones.
It should be noted that for one to get the best out of prohormones they should be taken as a monthly supplement this means that one could easily spend up to $1,000 on just one brand of prohormones, not counting hormone replacement therapy or other complementary products.
Who Should Not Take Prohormones?
The majority of doctors and medical professionals advise against the use of steroids and prohormones. It is for this reason that most will be taking prohormones without medical guidance.
It is important for people under the age of 21 to avoid taking prohormones, as this may prevent the body from producing testosterone on its own. This could lead to extreme side effects as one gets older.
Conclusion: Should You Take Prohormones?
Very few people recommend taking prohormones because of their potentially dangerous side effects. It is important to avoid drinking while taking prohormones, and it is important to cycle on and off to avoid life threatening side effects.
Perhaps the worst part about prohormones is that the results don’t last forever. Once one has stopped taking prohormones the body will return it to it’s natural hormone production.
The worst case scenario however is that one’s body may stop producing testosterone or together. Ultimately, it is up to the user to decide if prohormones is for them or not, the benefits are powerful as are the side effects.
