UH tiny little design + lore for the fire nation’s patron spirit. or something. Like a Tui + La situation

inspo taken from @lazyveran ‘s twin sun god au (<- bare titty warning btw 🙏🏼) AND depictions of the Hindu gods Agni + Rama. So. And I’ve named him Agni

Extra notes

- his heads can fuse together to symbolize solar noon, which is actually extremely freaky for everyone

- genuinely tweaks out whenever there’s a solar eclipse. He can’t stand it. He needs to kill his twin (or Yue, depends on the time)

- believed to be the ancestor of the fn royal family, much like how the Japanese royal family is/was thought to be related to Amaterasu

- aside from being the sun spirit, he is also considered to be the spirit of war and as well as the cycle of life. Despite one of his things being war, he would strangle sozin with his bare hands if he was able to

duel links has been off to an, interesting start this year

in case anyone is blissfully unaware or doesn't play ranked konami gave their special boy Jaden a shiny new skill that not only 1. slaps a monster on the field for the low cost of a single discard but 2. adds super poly and polymerization to your hand. and then, 3. you can add polymerization back to your hand every turn so long as you discard so it becomes incredibly hard to drain your opponent of resources. 😵‍💫

listen I'm big complaining here as is my right but oh man this deck is so unpleasant to play against. I've been playing lyrilusc (fighting fire with fire here) and if I go second I have a much better chance cuz I can either cosmic cyclone their super poly or used promenade thrush's effect on it (and half the time if you take out their super poly they'll surrender lol) but if I go first I have to basically pray I can get nightingale's effect off and resolved in time so I can avoid the damage and save any other lyriluscs I have on field.

feels very "the call is coming from inside the house" of me to complain about a deck when I'm currently playing lyrilusc and predaplant (predaplant does have that glorious busted skill but they did take away our super poly) but consider: when I play these decks it's a labor of love because I love these characters to death. not my fault the decks are competitive 🤭

anyways this is all fun and games and I'm not actually that mad but I simply love to complain <3 hash tag konami nerf dragonic contact 2025. and THEN take crystal wing off the banlist for extra apology 👆 trust me this will save your app I'm a professional.

as much as i sympathise with the spirit of those ‘i hate harley’s new design posts’ because yeah a lot of them are really really bad. and ur right to complain. i dislike how a lot of them end up circling back to the idea that the only good design for her is her btas jester suit and that any deviation from that is like. inherently bad? idk. i get that people love her classic look and that a lot of her modern designs may not be as aesthetically pleasing in the same way (fair and valid) but i just cannot get behind the idea that she should/would not change the way she dresses and presents herself post joker breakup. someone whose presence in her life was so suffocating that she struggled to define herself outside of him for so long (on both a meta and narrative level). she was literally created to be his sidekick and i mean!! there’s a lot of baggage in that. so of course she would reinvent herself! idk to me i think its important for her to look distinct from the way she was when she was his sidekick because shes not that person anymore. designs have always changed alongside their characters’ evolutions.. this is literally comic books. i have my own gripes about harley’s modern designs don’t get me wrong but the idea that we should go back to the jester suit. idk something about it doesn’t sit right with me and i don’t think it makes sense for her at all. sorry
