gender segregated bathrooms are OUT instead i'm proposing a new way of dividing up public bathroom spaces:

1. unisex general adult bathrooms - these should have a variety of stalls and sinks and (where space allows) a separate, screened-off urinal area for your dedicated stand-up pee-ers. it should also have at least a couple of fully self contained stalls with a toilet and sink inside (behind a lockable door) that can double as a changing room for people who need a costume change on the fly

2. children's bathroom - with low-level toilets and sinks and stalls big enough to allow an adult to comfortably help a lil buddy pee. include some toilets with those potty seats for toddlers. the kids bathroom would also have some designated baby-change booths. adjacent to the kids bathroom should be a room for feeding babies and/or pumping breast milk and it should have facilities for heating water and cleaning out baby bottles

3. accessible bathroom - for elderly and/or disabled people. larger toilet stalls, hand rails, emergency alarms etc. the accessible bathroom should also have facilities for e.g. changing out colostomy or catheter bags and for hygienically changing and disposing of adult diapers/incontinence pads etc, including some stalls big enough to allow a carer to come in and help a brother out if necessary

all bathrooms should also have enclosed shower facilities and free sanitary products. thank you for coming to my TED talk entitled "i just wanna take a piss in peace is that too much to ask"

Today and tomorrow (Sunday, July 28th) marks the 230th anniversary of both 9 and 10 Thermidor. I'm not too deep into the frev community but I still wanna share this poster I made, in contrast to the drawing I made last year.

Fun fact: I started this project last year, but due to my skill level, and my lack of personal style I didn't finish the two versions I was working on. This year I decided to start from scratch and make a new poster.

With the skills I've learned so far like using the grid, and understanding Photoshop a lot more this is the final result and I feel really proud of the final outcome.

The start of a super long project that I probably not going to finish.

I have always been fascinated with the art on playing cards. I especially like the ones that have unique designs for each card, or a different character for each one. So, I decided to take a jab at it via Rayman. This is made under the guise of teensies making this for teensies, so teensies are going to be the main designs (sorry everyone, you can go home now).

This is also an excuse to practice in the Legends art style since I hate painting and this whole thing is basically painting so whoopieee.

Our urban landscapes are grey, controlled spaces because cities see the incorporation of nature into the framework of our built environment as an aesthetic choice; a design option. But more and more evidence arises every single day that urban spaces with deeply integrated natural environments aren’t just nice, they’re essential for our health and well-being. I’m not talking about manicured lawns and tree-lined streets, I’m talking about incorporating spaces of real natural biodiversity in and around us; spaces that animals can make their home - where we aren’t exerting control over the forms of our natural landscape. Leaving rivers and streams with their natural banks, trimmed by their natural flora - creating forested walkways - setting aside difficult terrain for natural settings as opposed to levelling it - making park spaces that function as managed and cultivated fragments of the ecosystems our cities flattened and paved; all of these things help improve not only the presence and health of our flora and fauna, but our levels of stress and our sense of belonging. The lack of real, thriving corners of nature are a health issue, not an aesthetic one.
