Honestly I don't watch that many movies so it took me quite a while to think of favourites excluding the major action franchises like MCU and DC. Then, most of them didn't have gifs so I made these gifs on my own so the quality is not the best😅

baaki, remember, an eye for an eye will make us all blind. and then, do try and see if the politicians and their bullshit that you guys fight for come and save us.

What hurts me is that most of these people are young, some are wee little children, they've been force-fed a very specific view of the world for over a decade now and they found that tiny, narrow view of the world so comforting that they live there now. They ignore reality to continue living that lie. The people that have fed them these lies continue to profit off of them.

Just today I saw these people call poor farmers 'terrorists'. How badly warped does your mind have to be to come to the conclusion that the poor people trying to change their living conditions by ASKING the government to change some laws is equal to terrorism? The act of people exercising their rights as citizens is deemed "anti-india".

Critical thinking has left the chat.

They will ignore pressing matters of the present to do historical revisionism. I wonder if they're scared to actually face the rapant problems India is facing. They will use the veneer of caring about their country and then talk about nothing of any consequence.

These people don't even understand that they're not fighting for their beloved religion. They're fighting a war of political party that does not care the slightest bit for them.

One of them was complaining that I was "freeloading" a tag. You know WHAT? If freeloading a tag means that there's a healthy amount of dissent in that tag, then I'll use it. They keep flooding it with xenophobia, casteism and all other sorts of bullshit. If they're allowed to spew that vile poison here, we should be allowed to counter and challenge their harmful words.

but it makes sense that you'd hear that most often! dag dag and sul sul are probably the most well known phrases, since they are both just greetings (tho i think dag dag became more of a thing only in the sims 4? might be wrong tho)

Simlish is so fascinating to me because it's a mix of several different languages while still being basically untranslatable, like, there are some words or phrases that have been consistent throughout the games (like nooboo meaning baby) and i'm just now finding out that it has a wikipedia page with some info about its phonology and stuff, but it was purposefully made to not be understood so that everyone playing is equally confused about what the sims are saying <3

and also with the real songs being translated to Simlish, they want the words in Simlish to have a similar vibe to the original more than they want it to be consistent across songs, i won't find it now but i watched a video on youtube at one point where someone wanted to make a song fully in Simlish based on the already translated songs and it was just not possible to find the exact equivalents, like with 'dance' in my tags, it was 'desh' or whatever in that one song i found, but i bet there are others where it's something not even slightly related to that, they just pick and choose which word to change completely and which to keep kind of similar

(also side note but i just love thinking about actual artists recording their song for the sims, they just get a page of gibberish lyrics that fits the rhythm of the song and are asked to go for it like?? incredible. i watched a video about this too and can you imagine for example Gerard Way of mcr fame doing it? or Janelle Monáe? not to mention Katy Perry (she had a whole stuff pack for herself in the sims 3)? and yet it all happened! there's even a Car Seat Headrest song in ts4, wild.)

also yes, they do have letters! everything in the environment of the game is written in Simlish, you can see it for example on signs or the computer or books i think too? i was under the impression that it was, again, not really readable or translatable, but apparently the letters do have equivalents?

not sure how official this is tho, i just found it on google when i was looking for some examples of the writing

1. Who Are You Really - Mikky Ekko

See me bare my teeth for you Who, who are you?

Currently on loop today in preparation for D&D session later! It's one of my character's songs, so it's always super good to listen to in order to get into the right roleplaying mindset before a session! Definately encapsulates his current story; someone lost and wandering, questioning who he is and what he wants but still willing to keep going and find his place in the world

2. RUNAWAY - half·alive

I find that everything I am is Everything I should be I don't need to run away

This is my main character song for Saeed, primarily his original D&D self! It literally sums up his ENTIRE character arc from beginning to end of my groups first campaign, and one day I'm hoping to potentially make an animatic to this song.

3. The Pimp and the Priest - The Dear Hunter

Confess, oh, confess In the chapel, or brothel, where we suffocate stress

Soleil! He's uh a character filled with a lot of religious themes whilst mixed with some uh... Debauchery, for a PG term for the things he indulges in, so this song is a perfect encaptulation of all that he is!

4. Your Blood - AURORA

Your blood, what matter is it made of? Do you feel it travel in and out your heart?

Another Ulrich song! What can I say, I like rotating my idiot bloodhunter in my brain when on the runup to a session. Another one that encapsulated his current character development whilst in early campaign!

5. Brutus - Buttress

My name is Brutus and my name means heavy So with a heavy heart I'll guide this dagger into the heart of my enemy

No character associated with this one, I just adore the raw female rage being portrayed through the betrayal of Caeser in this song. Such a smart choice! Most people have probably heard the instrumental via TikTok ahahaha.

Anyways, what you are saying is undeniably right. Thinking of Palestinian deaths as oppurtunity is low. Very low. The middle meme is hypocritical in that regard. Just because a death is happening outside of the sphere of shared identity does not mean it means any less. Hypocritical to the T, yes.

And yeah, I find that there is a lack of content regarding caste persecution on my blog itself, I never felt there was a lack of awareness content with respect to caste atrocities on tumblr so I am more on Hindublr side which has fewer representatives. Perhaps I will take those issues up too now on.

But do you see the Irony of yourself? How are you doing any different whatsoever? What's your point in dragging the "All Eyes on Hindus in Pakistan" poster? How is it any less valid than the one about Rafah?

Because thousands being kidnapped, killed, handed over to 40 year Olds as slave wives in their teens per year just because of their religion is any less horrific?

If your cause is "But they did it in spite of the Rafah poster", then that's extremely bull. Just because they took the same slogan, or even if someone made it because they wanted Indians to focus on this does not take away the fact that it's true.

Heck, a Pakistani cricketer can see our cause when he tags "All Eyes on Vaishno Devi" along with the Rafah one, but humare desh ke budhhijivi?

Do you think every Hindu who perished in Kashmir was asked his identity before being shot?

Do you think Castes were seen in Nuh? In Pakistan?

Do you think Anti CAA rioters were looking at house nameplates for castes before setting the people inside ablaze? Hell, do you think Pro CAA rioters were checking whether the Muslim before them was a Syed or a Borah before killing them? If not, how come the persecution accompanied by being a Hindu is restricted to lower castes?

And yes, these things have been happening since before 2014. Does raising voice for them ever since BJP came in power make them any less real or horrifying?

I find this so fittingly ironic that a person denying hindu persecution and mad that someone dared take the topic up is the one is talking about how raising the issue is not because we are actually concerned about it but for "dragging others down".

Even when we are speaking about ourselves and our identity, you guys have to make it about other people.

But, what can I say? This is a person tagging Israel for the bloodbath in Palestine, which is true and justified in its own regard, but does not demonize Hamas which is just as responsible in keeping its people trapped where the attacks can get them so that crying foul becomes easier. Of course victimisation based on identity is a thing for you

There is a reason why it is called our Motherland.

When we are really young we love this land unconditionally. We draw the tiranga with those rough crayons. We proudly say India when someone asks where we are from.

Then we grow and start learning about politics and the various underlying problems of our country. We start seeing the faults. We end up planning that we'll grow up and leave the country. We often say that we are tired of this country.

We grow up more and realise that are we really angry on our country? Or are we angry on some people who cannot uphold the values of our land? Can we really ever be angry on the soil on which we were born? Can we ever hear the words desh, watan, mulk and not feel a sliver of pride as we imagine the tiranga? Can we ever listen to the stories of our fight for independence and not get goosebumps? Can we really ever not love our home?

There is a reason why it is called our motherland....We always end up returning to her even if we drift apart occasionally due to our differences. She is our home. Vande Maataram.
