"Desfine", um poema de Carlos Drummond de Andrade
O rosto no travesseiro, escuto o tempo fluindono mais completo silêncio.Como remédio entornadoem camisa de doente;como na penugemde braço de namorada;como vento no cabelo, fluindo: fiquei mais moço.Já não tenho cicatriz.Vejo-me noutra cidade.Sem mar nem derivativo,o corpo era bem pequenopara tanta insubmissão.E tento fazer poesia, queimar casas, me esbaldarnada resolve: mas tudose resolveu em dez…

Creamy Bunny
It’s a comedic slice-of-life webcomic by a user named Desfinity.
The comic stars Creamy Bunny, a 23 year old bunny girl who really wants to be seen as an adult. Problem is, because of her outward appearance and immature personality, she’s often confused as a child by everyone. Desperately needing a way to get people to recognize her actual age, she tracks down and follows rising star, dancer and strip model, Crème Hickory, in hopes of finally understanding and becoming the adult woman she’s meant to be.
As formal as I could describe the comic, it’s a pretty dumb story with a somewhat shallow kind of premise. While it does try to insert drama and character growth in the main lead and her weird thought process on what she thinks being an adult means, it feels a bit lost, or at least extremely basic, in its direction. The writing could also be better, but that’s par for the course for this type of story.
I’m not a huge fan of manchild characters, and having one as a protagonist feels like a barrage. I think this could be good for an analytical riff.

Hey Desfin, you're pretty blatantly a lime, so how did you end up part of the flleet?
“I mentioned how I discovered my ability already, and my ending up in the fleet was rather similar.”
>He lets out a sigh, fidgeting with the edge of his left glove
“I frightened that bully, I hated that school and that purple is why… he was small for a purple and took it out on anyone even smaller. Anyway after that I guess it turned out someone reported my ability to the fleet, they showed up not… too much later, I don’t really remember, I was pretty little. They’re the ones who really started pushing the boundaries of what exactly I could do.”
“We didn’t find out about some of the possible side effects for a while though.”

User Interface Week 2
Monday 2nd March
Today we covered card sorting. Card sorting is part of making a site or database easy to use by organizing information so that people find what they’re looking for. Sometimes companies structure their assets in a way they may understand, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that their users, customers or other important personal understand what they see and use.The Nielsen Nroman Group desfines card sorting as a research activity that allows a team to appropriately organize individual labels written on notecards.
In our lesson this morning, we were first told to list 20 items / things we had used or interacted with before coming to class onto post-it notes. Our next step was to pair with a buddy and resort to a method known as ‘Open Card Sorting’. I paired with my friend Reid to organize the cards. Our first order of use was in sequential order of use that morning so it would look like something done over a timeline. Reading over this information wasn’t very helpful aside from knowing which came first, because I had done more in my morning that Reid did and the time lines wouldn’t exactly match up sequence for sequence because of the time I got up and the practical uses of the things I interacted with were more spaced out across my morning.
Everyone in the class shared how they organised their information. There were at least 5 different ways to go about sorting it. Subjectively some were more efficient than others, but in doing so created more groups. Reid and I discussed that we should aim to have about 3-5 groups or pools of information that is easy to comprehend. I suggested that we group our sense because the way we react with things also stimulates the bodies sense of smell, taste, touch, sight and sound. It was cool to examine what senses we were using most of in the morning. Sight and touch were clearly the largest pools, but aside from this, the fore-coming activity wouldn’t prove as easy as it was to work with Reid.
Closed card sorting. This time we do not have the freedom of choosing how this information is laid out. We are given fixed categories to work with in a larger group of 6 and 120 cards. This was challenging and interesting towards a team dynamic because someone is more likely to take charge and organize those people equally, yet this process took up a lot of time and became some what boring because was essentially turn taking.
To conclude, the lesson was very hands on and collaborative. It was fun to organize things and it was satisfying to complete tasks with class mates. It had been a while where I did something in a class where I felt like I had improved my skill set somehow, it felt rewarding. Thank you Raul!

Wednesday:
For this lesson we had to present to the class a website which he or she can show useful features when it comes to design. We had to list what was great and why? What wasn’t so good for the user? Or suggest how possibly the website could improve its practical use for a more comprehensible website.
I missed the last 30 minutes of the previous Monday class because I had to go to work. But I caught up with Reid and he filled me in best he could with what we needed to present to class. Reid said “ Also next class we will all be given 3 minutes to present a website on the projector that we think has good IA and explain why.” I would have asked more questions in class about how to go about the presentation. But I went on a limb and did it the way I wanted to do it. On POWERPOINT! A presentation is a presentation right? I knew most people would show themselves using and navigating through the website, but I knew that people were still not super confident presenting and lacked the call to attention when filling the class in with details. It seemed to me that it was a little bit boring so I wanted to go over board and present on PowerPoint because I am a very comfortable speaker. I also wanted to make this presentation fun so I went to the effort of over dressing the part on purpose. I knew this would make people curious about what I had to show.
The night before the presentation at 10.00pm, I got to work on the presentation. My website was PriceSpy. An unbiased shopping website that allows people to search for products. What makes it unbiased is that it shows you the retailers that stock a particular item and compares those prices against one another. I’ve been using the website for a number of years and it is my go to for buying everyday house tech and accessories. I finished making the presentation early in the morning around 1.00am. All hyped to present for tomorrow in my suit. Here comes Business Brad.
The next day, everyone was presenting as I had expected. There were some cool websites, one of my favorites to learn about was AirBNB. Our presenter Maddi was very informative by telling us about her experience. And by asking questions, I started to understand the dynamic of the customers and the host, which convinced me that I should use it sometime If I need a place to stay. I know that a successful presentation of a website will get me around to using it eventually. When I was the last to present, I was up like a spring. Ready to have some fun. The presentation went smoothly through PowerPoint, I then asked the class if there was anything I could search for them, as a demonstration to show how easy it is to use. The success of the presentation based on my interpretation was measured by the round of applause I got at the end. One happily entertained class. I received some good feedback too. Raul suggested that  displaying the website on a PowerPoint doesn’t really show the interaction of the website, because there could be an observable action or a pop down action of some sort. Max responded by saying that the PowerPoint does breakdown certain important features for examination, a little bit more comprehensive into what the function of the page was important.
Overall, the presentation was a success. I had learned better for next time doing a presentation on a website. People loved my presentation which made me feel good about myself and made a good impression on those who don’t no me all to well. A successful day!

“Oh wow, uh, hi. I don’t get asked that real often…”
>He is in the process of tightly rolling clothing and tucking them in the bottom of a backpack
“I didn’t have the best control of it, as a child. Was getting bullied once, big purpleblood who was using his fear inducing chucklevoodoos to try and make me cry. He got a bit too physical and suddenly I was fine and he was the one terrified.”
>He taps a bundled pair of socks against his nose for a moment
“Started getting pushed not too long after that, to see what the limits were. Turns out I had been doing it for a while, and that’s why I could suddenly do things, or so they say. I don’t really remember.”
