ahhhh attempting to start the foundations series again as recced by a friend to fill the void of 3 body problem in my heart
#daily logs#the first part is so death's end so I want to be obsessed with it#plot interspersed w encyclopedia entries And theyre unfinished. they did not meet their goals RIP#admire the seamless transition from encyclopedia to real narration though it's very fun. rereading it also made me realize i missed a ton#first time through wrt the doomed encyclopedia writing. it was saying the cities 'used to' be connected and no one was in a knowledge#desert or whatever and then fast forward to seldons collapse of the empire predictions. this is not going great#i will say its lowkey boring but tis kinda how all books go to me until they suddenly grip me heart and soul
